courtney had been rotting in bed all day since last night's events. something about jake's confrontation put courtney in a shitty mood and made her feel like a shitty person. it should be jake feeling like a shitty person but based on the strong scent of liquor on him, courtney doubts he even remembers it.
courtney has avoided a mirror all day as well. jake's hit to her face left some type of mark, she could feel it. before he'd last might was the last look she got of the redness. today there was an ache that could be anything from a little red to a big bruise.
there was a knock kn the door again. it hadnt even been two hours since rachel and elizabeth tried to get her to come out and she was having none of it. there wasn't a buzz to indicate anyone wanted to come up. just like last night. courtney wasn't goimg to
take any chances. "go away," she yelled at the door from the couch.
"i'm not leaving. ever again." courtney recognized the voice but not in a bad way. she was so relieved to hear drew's voice again that she basically ran across the room to open the door. "courtney, i just want to-" drew started talking but courtney didn't let him finish. she lunged forward, wrapping her arms around his torso.
she must've caught him a bit off guard as he took a few moments to hug back. once he did, courtney could not stop the tears from coming. the overwhelming emotions she was holding in of jake and the feelings for drew she could finally let out now that he was here in her arms.
the two shuffled into the apartment and somehow closed the door behind them without letting go of each other. once they finally broke the embrace, drew had a good look at her face. "oh baby," drew sighed,
looking at her with pity. she could help but start crying again, causing drew to bring her back in for a hug.
