Kelsey's POV:
I sat in my bedroom on Saturday morning. Justin was still on tour, but Mom was home for the weekend. Austin and I were going on a date this afternoon and I was about to start getting ready.
"Kelsey?" my mom called from downstairs. "Do you want me to help you get ready?"
"Sure, Mom." I say, I can take all the time I get with her now.
She walked up the stairs and into my room. Mom opened my closet, and pulled out the outfit I was planning to wear, a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch super-skinny jeans size 0, a purple sweater with Cinderella details on it from Forever21, and a pair of white Toms. We were going to the mall to eat lunch and get to know each other better.
I walked to my bathroom and pulled my long, Blonde hair into loose curls.
"Kelsey, can we talk?" mom asks.
"Sure Mom, what's up?" I ask.
"Well, I just wanted to talk about boys." Mom said.
"What now, Mom?" I ask.
"I know I didn't work out with Cody and I just wanted to make sure you aren't getting your hopes up with Austin." She says. "This isn't going to be 'the one' or anything. It's just a crush."
"I know. Trust me, this is just a crush. I don't expect anything to work out or last between us." I say.
"Okay, I just don't want to see you hurt."
"I understand." I say.
"So, have things been good lately?" She asks. "I noticed you changed your Twitter name. Any reason?"
I had changed my Twitter name from '@KelseyBieber' to '@KelseyHayden' a couple weeks ago.
"No, I mean I'm not a Bieber. But I'm okay with that. Justin is still my brother and my family stays the same, and so does the love. It's just a name." I explain.
"Kelsey, that is amazing to hear." Mom says.
"Yeah. So have you heard anything from Justin recently?" I ask.
"Yeah. He misses you, and he can't wait for you to join him on the last week of his tour." Mom says.
"Can't wait." I say.
"Okay." Mom said.
"Mom?" I ask.
"Yes."
"It's really nice to talk. You know, we never talk anymore and it's just nice to catch up. I miss the way things used to be." I say.
"I do too. But fame comes with a price, and we do our best." Mom says, looking down at her watch. "I have to go meet Scooter, but I'll see you at 4:30. Ok?"
"Okay Mom. I love you." I say.
"I love you too, Kelsey."
My phone buzzed and I looked at the tweet.
@AustinMahone: Say you're just a friend, and you say you're just a friend. @KelseyHayden Can't wait to see you today!
I smiled. It's true that I like Austin, but I still am scared of getting hurt again like Cody hurt me.
@KelseyHayden: Cant wait to see you either! @AustinMahone it's been too long...
