"IT LOOKS LIKE THEY WERE trying to use us to make up for their losses, since we looked like we were in a hurry. But now that we know what is going on, that won't be allowed to happen"
"Oh? Is that so?" Manager Logan spoke up. "They said it was a rare material, so we didn't know what a fair price would be."
"Yes they started low but suddenly raised their price. It's just appalling now that we know their true intentions. They were trying to decisive us!" Serena fumed. "Even if it's a one time deal, it's so insulting. How dare they!?"
"It's a good thing I told you Lady Serena," Manager Logan smiled, "If it wasn't for your information, it would have cost us a great amount. The price is unsatisfactory, but we certainly needed what was on offer. But now we have a excuse to negotiate a lower price"
"Yes...well" Serena blushed as she fiddled with her hair
"Nonetheless," Eiser said as he tapped his finger on the table "It isn't enough to renegotiate the price"
"What? Why not?" Serena said "Their debt will only grow bigger as they continue to store the material. Don't you think they would want to sell it off at a cheaper price?"
"Even if that is true, it is hard to suddenly reduce a price that has already been set so high" Eiser replied
"And if they are deep in debt they may not have much room for negotiation either..." Y/N added on.
"Exactly. If we use someone's weakness to pressure them into a deal it will cause problems later on. It's best to avoid that if you can help it" Eiser added on to Y/N's point. "It is unnecessary to take such measures in this case"
"Then what do you suggest we do?" Serena said as she interlaced her hands on the table. "We simply can't purchase it at double the cost of what it's worth"
"We need to make them want it" Eiser said shortly
"But how? They are up to their necks in debt. And they are trying to squeeze as much out of us as possible"
"Did they say their mine was out of minerals?" Eiser inquired
"Yes, they couldn't wait to get rid of a useless mine" Serena replied
Eiser paused before speaking
"Y/N, contact Lovis and ask him to investigate the Dorothea's family financial situation...and the actual condition of the mine so we can confirm the facts"
"Yes, sir" Y/N said as she made a note in the margin of her pink notebook
"You think there might be another way?" Manager Logan asked
"I've met someone while out on my business trip" Eiser said. "They said they were looking for a site to build a power plant. The Dorothea's mine was probably the one that was developed on the northern outskirts of the Nakla mountains 43 years ago. The site seems fit for what they were looking for so I'm thinking of arranging a meeting for them"
"Oh, I see" Manager Logan said. "I did hear that people are redeveloping old mines to build factories or power plants these days. The site's a remote location and it's already been leveled so it must fit their requirements"
"Yes, we need to look more into this so let's postpone the deal a little"
"Indeed, Sir. Eiser!" Manager Logan said with a smile. "Anyways, that's good news! It appears that we can reduce our budget significantly if everything works out...the two of you make great partners!"
Y/N saw Serena flinch out of the corner of her eye
"Excuse me?!" Serena exclaimed
"Um, pardon? Did I say something wrong?" Manager Logan said nervously
"Let's wrap up our meeting here" Eiser said as he stood up
Serena followed saying "That sounds good! I feel--a bit tired after staying here for so long"
Y/N stood up and immediately knew that her ankle was bothering her again
"Oh yes. Then since it's lunch time...why don't you three stay for lunch?" Manager Logan offered as he stood up
"I'm afraid I already have plans for lunch today" Eiser said as he walked to the door
"Oh, of course" Logan replied
"Y/N and I will be busy with the anniversary event so we need to head back" Serena spoke
"Oh yes, you will be preparing it this year! How about you two come look at the master bedroom? We prepared a gift for you girls!"
"Oh that sounds nice!" Y/N said as she began to walk to the door
"Very well then...I'll go see it" Serena said as she followed her younger sister

"Have a safe trip back Lady Serena, Lady Y/N. And let us prepare you both a meal next time! The new summer lunch set is very nice"
"Yes we will" Y/N smiled
"And thank for you for the lovely gift" Serena said "Can you keep it here so we can see it whenever we visit? That should be all then"
Manager Logan was about to close the car door but a hotel employee came running up
"Lady Serena!" the female employee called out as she ran to the car. "Lady Serena! Sir Eiser wanted me to give you this!" she handed Serena a white bag and Y/N curiously peered in
"Oh they have low heels!" Logan exclaimed. "Sir Eiser must have been worried that you feet might hurt, Lady Serena"
"It would be a problem if you hurt yourself before the event...Lady Serena?" Logan said in concern
Serena threw the shoes out of the car and onto the ground
Y/N noticed Serena's subtle shaking so she took her hand, nodded at Logan to close the door, and instructed the driver to head home
"Serena are you alright?" Y/N carefully asked
"I'll be fine...but I have a request for you. I'll tell you when we get back"
"Sure"

"So you gonna tell me your request?" Y/N asked as they entered the manor
"You really can't wait one minute can you?" Serena said
"Nope!"
"Well alright...here is your list. Bring me some water to the annex since I will be reviewing the documents in there and here's the big one."
"I need you to reorganize the empty room next to my bedroom as an office and install a new phone number for me. Oh and you can move your office to mine since we are working on the hotel together"
"Certainly Serena." Y/N said as she wrote this all down in her pink notebook already making aesthetic plans for the new office and she then ran off to prepare what Serena had asked for

Y/N approached Serena's old bedroom in the annex with a cart
She slowly pushed the door open
"I have what you asked for Serena. Were you planning to splash water on your face to stay awake?"
"Yeah.."
"Anyways," Y/N said as she pushed the cart into the room. "I've begun to set up your new office. It should be done soon"
"I've brought your favorite cashmere throw blanket, slippers, and comfortable clothes. I also brought along snacks so promise me that you'll take a bite!"
Serena smiled at her sister "I will Y/N, promise"
"Right then, I have some things to work on!"

Y/N resigned herself to her office for a few hours but finished when she heard Serena's door close
"She went out about 2 hours ago...is she back?" She thought as she walked to her sister's room to see Frederick leaving the room
She raised an eyebrow. "You're back late. Is my sister already asleep? Did she drink again?"
"She didn't drink too much probably because she is tired. She fell asleep in the car."
"Uh-huh and what do you need? You usually don't leave her room at this hour"
"No, it's fine I'm just going to the study to get a book"
"Sure" Y/N said as she turned around and walked back to her office
She entered her office and grabbed a book to sit down on the couch to catch up on reading
Her little puppy followed her and sat in front of the couch
A few minutes later and she fell asleep
But there was a knock at the door
And it was Eiser
Her little puppy immediately ran to the door but since he couldn't do anything he just sat there
Eiser knocked one more time before slowly opening the door the office only to see the little puppy
"I wasn't aware she had a dog..." He said to himself. "Are you new?"
The little puppy wagged his tail and walked away before walking back to him as if he was trying to lead Eiser somewhere
Carefully, Eiser followed to puppy to where Y/N was sleeping on the couch.
"I see. So both sisters have a bit of a sleeping issue" he chucked slightly as he took Y/N in his arms princess style and carried her to her room gently laying her down on her bed under her covers before quietly leaving
"I'll leave my work for her on her desk then"
