"Why couldn't I just leave my hair down?" Maki grumbled as her and Himari sat in a hair salon getting their hair done for the spring festival

"Maki why would you leave it down.." Himari said in a sly voice as she had her back to the zenin, a small umbrella covering her hair
"When your hair can look this cute!" She grinned, turning around to show her hair
"I guess you're right.." Maki sighed, adjusting her glasses
"Where are we meeting Megumi, Toge and yuta anyways?" She questioned as the two payed with Gojos card and left
"Oh I'm pretty sure they're still at jujutsu tech, but they'll be there in like half an hour by the bridge" Himari answered
"Hey fushiguro?" Yuta spoke up as megumj begrudgingly fixed his hair in the mirror as per Himaris request
"Huh? Oh, hello okkotsu" he said with a polite wave "do you need anything?"
"Actually I wanted to ask, since you've known Himari for a long time..which one of thes flower clips she'd like more?" Yuta said in a hesitant tone, holding them out for megumi to see
The zenin in turn, looked at the clips, back at yuta and back at the clips with a sceptical look
"Why?" He questioned
"Huh?" Yuta said with a nervous smile
"Why'd you get her these?" The zenin repeated "her birthday was months ago"
"W-well! You know I saw it..aaand I thought it would maybe look nice on her so I decided to get it an—"
"I get it" Megumi nodded, yuta could see the cogs in his head working
"So this guy likes Himari..I don't know why" Megumi thought as he stared at yuta intently "I don't think he knows he does either"
"If he likes my basically sister, what are his cons?" He continued, bringing a finger to his chin
"Eh, I can't think of any..maybe rika? Nah"
"She's like the lilac one" Megumi finally spoke, yuta letting out a sigh he didn't know he'd been holding
"You think so?" He asked
"Yeah, and it would match your cloth" Megumi awkwardly nodded, yuta giving him a grateful nod at his subconscious blessing
"Thanks fishiguro!" He smiled, making his way out of the door
"Yeah sure" Megumi hummed "wow a guy actually likes her" He muttered, going back to trying to tame his hair

"Where are those girls.." Gojo said with an exaggerated pout as he scanned the area for maki and Himari
"Tuna" Toge spoke, pointing at two girls with dark green and burnt orange hair
"Oh, there they are" Megumi hummed, yuta finding himself walking faster then the rest of the group and towards Himari
"Whys he walking so fast?" Gojo muttered as megumi merely shrugged, he'd figure it out soon enough
And the gasp that came out of his mouth said he did, megumi turning around to see yuta who'd placed his hand on the girls shoulder
"Himari" He smiled, the red head turning to face him with a face stuffed with cotton candy
"She can't talk right now, eating" Maki spoke, pointing to her mouth as Himari nodded, trying to finish the food quickly
"Oh.." Yuta said with a small smile
"Hey what took you guys so long?" Maki spoke up, kicking the boy in his feet and causing him to yelp
"Maki don't do that" Himari frowned "you'll ruin his kimono and it's such a nice lilac"
"You like the colour?" Yuta smiled, Himari nodding "I love all types of purple"
"Bleh!" Maki spoke, Toge hitting the back of her head
"Toge what was that for??" She huffed, chasing after the cursed speech user
"Hey you two!! D'you wanna social distance a bit?" Gojo waved, clasping his hands together and putting them in between yuta and Himari, spreading the out to create space between the two and parching himself in the middle
"How cute!! Megumi take a picture" Gojo grinned, megumi giving a tired yuta and confused Himari sympathetic looks
"Okay.." Himari nodded "yuta let's go check out that shooting stall" The red head said, grabbing the ravens hands and walking off
"Wait for us right megumi??" Gojo called out
"Don't talk to me." Megumi stated, walking off and leaving the white haired male on his own
"Why couldn't they have stayed eight"
He grumbled, taking out his phone to take pictures of himself

"Are you serious?!" Himari scoffed as she missed her last shot
"Sorry little lady, that was your last shot" The stall owner tutted "buut, an extra ¥100 can get you another one" He grinned, Himari who had already spent enough on the game placing her gun down
"No it's fine, I didn't even want the super Mario star anyways" She muttered, making calling her over
"Yuta are you coming?" She asked, the dark haired male redirecting his attention from the plush to Himari
"Oh, I'll meet you guys soon..I just wanna check out the..the fish! In the river" He nodded slowly, Himari raising a brow
"Want me to join you?"
"No no don't worry, makis growing impatient" He chuckled
"Himari get here now!!" The zenin screeched
"Alright fine!" Himari groaned, dragging her arms towards her best friend
Yuta watched as Himaris figure became smaller and smaller until she was out of her and makis superhuman earshot, turning back to the stall manager who was lighting a cigarette
"Excuse me, but could I try and get the star plush?" He questioned, a smile appearing on the man's face
"Boyfriend of the year!" He laughed, happily taking yutas money and handing him the gun
"O-oh she isn't m—"
"You better win it for your girlfriend!"
"Yuta still isn't back" Himari frowned, bringing her hand to her face and creating hand binoculars to look for the cursed human
"Her right there" Maki said pointing in the opposite direction
"Salmon"
"Oh there you are yuta" Himari smiled, noticing the plush in yutas hand
"No way.." She muttered
"You really wanted it so, I stayed back and got it" Yuta said in a slightly shaky voice, reminiscent of when he'd first met Himari
"Yuta how much did this cost you?!" She practically yelled
"I hate happy couples" Maki sighed
"Salmon" Toge spoke as the two of them went to find Gojo and megumi
"Megumi what is he doing?!" Gojo who was in a bush whispered, megumi who had been forced to accompany Gojo in his antics shrugging
"Who knows..can we go now?" He muttered
"No!!"
"Huh" yuta blinked, not really expecting that response "it wasn't too much if that's what you're worried about!"
"Yuta" Himari smiled, placing a hand on his cheek which nearly caused Gojo to scream bloody murder and yutas cheeks to burn
"I'm really grateful, I mean it, thank you" She smiled
"But don't waste your money!! I'll pay you back right now how much was it??" She asked, taking out her purse
"What no! It was a gift!" Yuta shook his head, pushing the purse back in her direction
"Actually, I still have another gift for you" He stated, cursing himself for how timid he sounded
"What." Himari involuntarily spoke, a foreign feeling in her stomach taking over as yuta shakily brought his hands to her hair, placing a lilac flower clip in her hair
She felt light, yet at the same time her heart was beating out of her chest, why would he go through all of this trouble
Did he like her? I'm that way? Did she like him?
Her theorising was cut off by the sight of that silver promise ring, bringing her back to earth

Rika was yutas first love, he probably still did love her so what was she thinking, he was just being friendly
"I'm quick to convince myself someone likes me then when I'm wrong my feelings get hurt" She thought
"Thank you yuta" She smiled, lightly tracing her hand across the pin
"Do you like it?" He asked with a hopeful smile
"It's gorgeous" Himari nodded "and it came from you so of course I do!" She stated, yuta feeling his hearbeat quicken
"Now let's find making and Toge, I feel like Gojos lurking here" Himari shuddered
"She liked it.." Yuta thought, an almost inhumanly large grin appearing on his face
"I'm so happy!"
