Whenever Hanni saw her best friend Minji with that *certain* girl, her mind was filled with negative thoughts about the latter, to the point where she wanted to resort to violence.

The girl's name was Eva, which made things worse since she was evidently flirtatious. (This character is just created by me.)

"Eva, or more like Eva the flirty or stupid, hah!" Hanni snarled to herself in disdain.

Hanni couldn't stand Eva's presence. She was a flirtatious individual who seemingly enjoyed the attention from Minji, which angered Hanni to no end. Hanni's jealousy was growing with every interaction she witnessed between the two, and she grew increasingly agitated the longer it continued.

"Hanni." Jay tapped her shoulder, catching her attention. "What's wrong? Your eyes were glued to Minji. Could you focus on me instead..."

Hanni felt sad at his words. "I'll try, Jay," she said, still unable to tear her gaze from Minji.

"Thank you," Jay said as he held her hand, Hanni attempting to adjust to the physical intimacy. Despite her efforts, she was still uncomfortable.

Even though she was attempting to focus on Jay, she found it difficult to do so due to the presence of Minji, who commanded her attention, albeit involuntarily. In addition, Hanni wasn't fond of the physical intimacy that was being offered to her, though it was clear that Jay had good intentions. Nonetheless, her discomfort was prevalent as she continued to observe Minji.

Jay remained unaware of Hanni's inner conflict. He was only focused on trying to divert her attention towards himself. Although his intentions were noble, Hanni's thoughts remained focused on Minji, which hindered her ability to concentrate on Jay. She had to find a way to overcome her jealousy; until then, she would continue to struggle with focusing on anyone other than Minji.

"This is so annoying." Jay made a soft, annoyed utterance under his breath, which Hanni caught.

"Did you say something?" Hanni inquired, her voice tinged with suspicion.

Jay shrugged and replied casually, "Nothing, I'm fine."

Hanni could sense that Jay wasn't being truthful; however, she didn't press the matter, simply accepting his response and assuming it to have been nothing more than a brief annoyance.

"Okay..??"

Meanwhile, Jay's response did little to curb his irritation. He was still unhappy about Hanni's attention being directed towards Minji, though he chose to refrain from voicing his complaints. Nonetheless, his discomfort was evident, even if he tried to conceal it.

Jay sighed, "Hanni, let's hang out. Now."

"I don't think I'm available today cause I have something to-do today." Hanni lied

"Hanni, please..?" Jay begged

"Fine" Hanni had no choice, Eva wasn't as flirtatious as she thought just a little friendly and kind. Hanni however was the jealous type she needed to have everything to herself, even her friend. This obsession she had for her friend was a little unhealthy but maybe Jay would bring sense into her.

"How about we go get something to eat?" Jay suggested

"No I'm not hungry" Hanni said as she looked away from Jay

"I know you are, so let's go" Jay pushed.

later

They both went to an 'insert name' restaurant near their school. As they both sat down and ordered their meal Hanni couldn't stop looking towards Minji and the girl, this made her angry but she couldn't show it. "You alright Hanni?" Jay said. 'Yes' was the only answer she gave.

In her inner mind she was furious with anger, but she chose to ignore Jay and the fact that he would be hurt that she didn't interact with him. "What are you looking at?" Jay saif,

to which she replied "nothing". The atmosphere had grown thick with tension but Jay still pushed through to cheer the girl up but she would have none of that.

Hanni remained quiet throughout the whole meal, at a certain point jay just gave up as he could see her ignoring him. Finally the meal was finished and both of them left the restaurant. The rest of the day was just Hanni being angry.

"Ehmmmm.... Are you still mad?" Jay later said to her which she didn't answer to but she could see Jay had enough of her ignoring him.

"Hanni please..." Jay begged but she didn't acknowledge him, it seemed like she was in a world of her own. Hanni was trying but her anger was getting the better of her. "Hey..." Jay called out. "I just want u to focus on me!" Again she didn't answer but instead she continued to stare at minji and eva with a serious look on her face.

Hanni felt her fist starting to clench, she was getting angrier with herself for not being able to stop staring at Minji. "I don't get you, what's your deal?" Jay said but she still refused to answer him.

"Whats the problem!? What's with you?" He said but she still didn't answer. "Hanni?" Jay called out again, slightly sounding desperate now

Hanni was finally about to reach her limit, the anger and the frustration got the better of her and that one final call from Jay made her snap. "What? What do you want?" She said with a tone that she was annoyed.

Jay seemed taken aback by her response "I just want u to stop staring and acknowledge me!"

"Oh, sorry. I think I didn't hear ya, hehe.." Hanni apologized.

"That's alright, but can I ask you something?" Jay said

"Go ahead" answered Hanni.

"Is there any reason you can't seem to stop staring at Minji and her friend?" Jay asked

"Nah, I'm just.. I'm just.." Hanni stayed silent, looking down, clearly embarrassed.

Jay noticed a slight blush on Hanni's face and was starting to understand the situation. She had feelings for Minji and her jealousy of eva had gotten out of control. "Hey, it's okay.." Jay said. "Do you have a crush on Minji?" He asked, to which she froze.

"I-I.." Hanni mumbled out, she was blushing hard now, her feelings were finally coming to light and she didn't know how to feel about it. She was now staring at the ground, avoiding eye contact as she was clearly still embarrassed.

Jay could sense that there was more to it, her feelings were clearly deeper than just a crush, as he sensed that she wanted to say more. In the absence of her speaking, he decided to ask her a direct question. "Do you love Minji?" He asked, his tone being genuine and caring.

"Uhm, maybe?" answered Hanni.

This was the first time she had expressed her feelings out loud and it felt so.. liberating, like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. Jay was taken aback at first, but he had figured that this might've been her feelings towards her. Now that he knew the truth, his next question was clear and he needed an answer. "Do you think she likes you back?" Jay asked, was hoping that Minji doesn't like her back because Jay likes Hanni.

Hanni stayed silent for a few moments, contemplating the possibilities. "I-I don't know." She finally answered after having been lost in her own thoughts. "Maybe she does not?" She said, not quite sure if she believed it to be true but hoping for the best.

"Why don't you ask her and find out?" Jay suggested but Hanni was still hesitant.

"I can't, what if she says no? That would crush me." Hanni admitted to him, she couldn't bear to take the risk of being rejected and having her feelings shattered into a million pieces of disappointment.

Jay was proud, he would do anything to make the girl be with him. He doesn't want her to like Minji.

Minji was his enemy since they were young.

"But what if she says yes?" Jay suggested.

"That would be the best thing in the world..." Hanni said.

Hanni kept going over the possibilities in her mind, her feelings for Minji were strong and she wanted to be with her so badly. She knew that Jay liked her, but she couldn't see him as anything more than a friend. Meanwhile, Jay was getting jealous of Minji. He was frustrated.

"Just focus on me, Hanni. Then you will forget Minji...." Jay said with a devilish smile.

Hanni was tempted to do what Jay said, but deep down she knew he was just trying to get her off Minji's case. "I don't know..." replied Hanni, she was still thinking hard about it. She was thinking of the worst case scenario, where Minji would reject her and then be with THAT GIRL...

Hanni got a notification and it was Minji's message.

"Hanni, why didn't you tell me that you are going with Jay? I'm sulking right now." Minji sent with a pouting emoji.

Hanni was surprised to receive a message from Minji, especially with her being jealous, she was wondering why she was sulking about it. She felt a little guilty for not telling her that she was going with Jay. "I'm sorry..." was what she typed into her message and just like that she hit send. "I just didn't think you'd care", she typed as she waited for a response.

Minji replied almost immediately, her tone being playful but there was still some annoyance to it. "I just wanted to spend more time with you today, is that so wrong?" Minji typed but there was also some teasing to her tone.

"Let me guess, is the new friend of mine bothering you? Don't worry! She's annoying and I'm only loyal at you!" Minji sent. Of course it's only 'as a friend'.

"Yeah kinda" Hanni typed. "She just seems kinda flirty." she said. Hanni sent the message immediately but she felt like her tone was a little jealous.

"Jealousy~ Jealousy Hanni~!" Minji was teasing her.

"Anyways, let's meet up in your house." Minji sent.

"Okay." Hanni replied.
