Y/ns pov:
It was a cold day in winter
I not only had a flu but my ears were hurting and i had a sore throat with a cough
My daughter also had a flu and a sore throat with a cough
Thankfully no ear pain for her cause it really hurts
So me and her are constantly coughing and sneezing
Me and her are currently sleeping next to each other on the bed while her father, Simon went out to get us medicine
I woke up and stared at her, running my fingers through her hair, something that made her alway feel relaxed and comforted

About 30 minutes later...
I heard our front door opening and closing
It must be simon
I heard his footsteps approaching the room
He opened the door and entered with two plastic bags in his hand
"Hey y/n" he said
"Hey sim" i said
He came near the bed and sat on it close to my legs
"Are you feeling any better?" He asked
"Yea its just my ear thats hurting me" i said
he sighed
He looked over at Vivian
"What about vivi?" He asked
"Shes ok i guess" i said
"Hmm i got you guy's medicine , but your not supposed to have it with an empty stomach"
he said
"Whatever, it fine" i said
"No its not" he said
I sighed
I really didn't have the energy to cook anything ,plus my ear is killing me
"Don't worry about it, i'll make you both some soup yea?" He said stroking my hair
"that would be nice" i said
"Alright then i'll be back" he said as he got up walking towards the door
"Thank you" i said
"Welcome" he said
A few moments passes
And the pain in my ear was making me go insane
I decided to get up and tell simon about it
Even though he probably couldn't do anything about it
I atleast wanted to let him know for some reason that its really hurting me
I got out the room and went downstairs towards the kitchen
As i got in i saw him standing in front of the stove
Staring at the pot of soup he was making
He didn't notice me walking in
"Simon" i called him and he turned around
"Yea?" He said
I walked towards him
"My ear is really hurting me" i said and put my hand on my ear as i started to feel tears form in my eyes
"Oh no, why?" He said and cupped my cheeks
"I don't know..." i said
"Hmm.." he said
He removed his hands from face and lifted them up to his face
He slid his mask off and folded it
I watched as he took the folded mask and brought it close to the fire on the stove
After about a minute he moved it away and brought close to my face
I backed up a little
"Hold it on your ear, it should make you feel better"he said bringing it close to my face again
I took the fabric from him and put it on my ear as he said
He turned back around focused on the soup
The fabric was definitely hot , but not so much that it burned my ear
And to be honest it did ease the pain but not completely
oh well better than nothing
He shot me a glance over his shoulder
"Better?" He asked
"Kinda, thanks" i said
"Of course" he said
"I'm going back upstairs" i said
"Alright i'll be there with you in a bit" he said
"Okay" i said and made my way back to the room
As i walked into the room i saw vivi was awake and she was looking around the room
"Hey viv" i said and sat beside her on the bed
She yawned and rubbed her eyes
"How are you feeling?" I asked
"Good" she said still sleepy
"Dads back and hes making us soup" i said
"oh nice" she said
"Mhm" i said
She began to cough roughly
I rubbed her back
"Want some water?" I asked
"No thank you it's okay" she said between coughs
She looked at me after she stopped coughing
"What that?" She said pointing to the mask that was on my ear
"Its to help my ear feel better" as i said that I realized how much better my ear felt
Simons a genius
just then simon walked in with a tray that had two bowls of soup and two water bottles
"Hey vivi, how are you doing?" He said once he saw that she was awake
"Hey daddy im fine" she said
"Good, are you sure?" He said
"Yup" she said
"Alright eat this soup so i can give you some medicine and you'll feel even better" he said
"Okay" she said
She always got excited when her farther cooked for some reason, even if it's not the best.
He handed me my bowl and a spoon
"Thank you" i said
He nodded and walked to the other side of the bed where vivi was
Vivian sat up and simon sat infront of her
"Open" he said bringing a spoonful of soup close to her mouth
She opened her mouth and he began to feed her
I put the mask down from my ear and put it on my lap
I began to eat my own soup
It was pretty good
"Hows your ear y/n?" Simon asked
"its alot better" i said with a smile
He smirked
"Good, i'll go get a heater and put it next to you so you can keep warming it up and keep putting it on your ear , im sure after a few times you won't feel a thing with the medicine." He said
"Alright genius" i said
He grinned
"Never underestimate me" he said
"Sure" i said with a smirk
I kept on eating my soup while he kept feeding vivi
After a short while we were both done with the food
Simon opened the bags and looked for vivis medicine
he took out her medicine and gave it to her with the water bottle
"Here you go" he said handing them to her
She put the medicine in her mouth and took a sip of the water
he went back to looking in the bag, this time taking out my medicine
"Here y/n" he said handing them to me
"Thank you" i said and took them from him
I swallowed them with the water
"Alright , i'll go get the heater now" he said as he got up
"Its okay Simon sit down" i said
I felt bad for him having to get up every few minutes
The heater was in the living room
But i still felt bad
"Don't worry its okay" he said and walked out
He came back a few moments later and placed the heater on the floor taking the plug and plugging it in the wall next to me
"Give me the mask i'll warm it again" he said
I handed him the mask
He once brought the mask close to the heat keeping it there for a few moments before putting back on my ear
"Thank you sweetheart" i said and took it from him
"Your welcome" he said
He walked back to vivis side
"Do you need anything love?" He asked her
"No thank you daddy" she said
he kissed her head and got into the bed beside her
She held his face and kissed his cheek
I smiled watching them
Vivi moved closer to me , sitting in the middle
"Do you guys wanna watch something?" He asked
"Dad can we see the movie wish?" Vivi asked
"Sure i guess" he said and searched for the movie
I laid down on the bed covering myself with sheets while keeping simons mask on my ear
The sickness was really making me sleepy every two hours
I began to yawn
Just as i was about to fall asleep
I felt a sneeze coming...And it was a cruel one
I sneezed very loudly and roughly shaking all the sleepiness away
I think it might've even been louder than simons sneeze
"Jeez honey" simon said chuckling
Vivian started laughing to
I chuckled with them and laid my head back down on the pillow
I eventually fell asleep.

I woke up to the sound of Vivian coughing non stop
I opened my eyes as i sat and checked the time
It was around 2:00 AM
I looked at vivian she was sleeping and so was simon
Simon began to stir in his sleep from the sound of vivians coughing
I had no idea what to do so i must kept staring at them
I tried going back to sleep
But her coughing was non stop
I sighed
I heard simon move around
He eventually sat up , he must've woken up
He turned and looked over at vivi
I sat up to
He looked at me
"Should i take her to the doctor?" He said
i shrugged having no idea what to do
He took her to the doctor earlier this morning
"I don't think he'll do anything" i said
He sighed
I saw vivi open her eyes
She sat up
"I want water please" she said rubbing her eyes
I turned around and looked at my nightstand
Grabbing my water bottle that was on it
"Here honey" i said and handed it to her
"Thank you" she said
She opened it and took a few sips
She went back to lay down again
"Dad im cold.." she said
Simon looked at her
He placed the back of his hand on her forehead for a moment
He sighed
"I think she might have a fever" he said as he looked at me
Great a fever with a cough
"Should i get the thermometer?" I said
"I'll go get it-"
"Its ok i'll go" i cut him off and got up from the bed
I went to go get it
I walked back into the room and handed simon the thermometer
I saw vivi laying her head on his lap
"Get up viv" he said
She got up and looked at him
After simon checked her temperature
Vivi laid back down
It turns out it was 38 degrees
"Uh-oh" i said
"Thats not very good what do we do?" I said
Simon got up and walked towards me
"Don't worry about it honey , you go back to sleep i'll take care of it your sick yourself to" he said
I shaked my head
"It's alright sweetheart, i know your tired you've been taking care of us all day" i said
"Im not I promise" he said and cupped my cheeks
I thought about it
"Sure i'll lay down but stay up with you two" i said
He nodded
"Alright honey i'll be back" he said
I nodded and watched him go
A few moments later
Simon came back with a small bowl with i guess water? In it and a towel
"What are you doing?" I asked
"Compresses" he said
ohhh
"Oh" i said
"Mhm" he said
He went to vivis side and sat beside her feet
I watched as he dipped the towel into the warm water
And started to press it onto her feet
Vivi looked at him with a confused look
"What are you doing daddy?" She asked
"Its to make you feel warm sweetheart" he said
"Oh" she said
I wished i had such a father like Simon
Vivians is really lucky to have such a loving , caring and protective father
And he used to say that he would be a horrible dad
if only he knew how amazing he really was
if only he saw himself in my eyes
Vivian loves him to pieces and so do i
No words can explain it
From dozing off i didn't realize he was done with the compresses
"All done" he said
Gosh i love his accent
"I'll go get you some cough medicine and we'll go back to sleep okay?" He said
Vivi nodded
And he went to go get the medicine
After he came back he gave vivi the medicine and laid down on the bed next to both of us
When vivis sick she likes to get pampered
So she sleeps with us
We both don't mind it
"Thanks dad" vivi said
"Your welcome" he said
"I love you" vivian said to him
"I love you to" he said and leaned down to kiss her forehead
"You guys keep acting like i don't exist" i said and smiled
They both looked at me
"I love you mama" vivi said and got up to kiss my cheek
"I love you to sweet girl" i said and kissed both her cheeks
She went back and laid down next to her father
"Love you y/n" simon said
"Love you to simon " i said and laid down back with them

Next morning
I woke up to the sun shining in my face
I sat up and checked the time
It was around 10:00 AM
I got up and went to the bathroom
To get ready
About half an hour later i was done getting ready and walked out the bathroom
I looked at the other two and saw vivi awake
"Good morning vivi" i whispered and walked closer to the bed
"Morning mommy" she said
i leaned down and kissed her forehead as she wrapped her hands around me and kissed me to
"Are you feeling any better?" I asked
"Yeah, im fine how about you" she said and cupped my face
She's learned that from her father
I kissed her hand
"Im fine thank you for asking my love" i said
"Of course" she said and began to play with my hair We were both staring at each other
Until
"ACHOOH!"
A loud sneeze made us both flinch
i looked up and saw simon sitting up Holding his nose
Uh-oh
The sickness might have spread
Vivi realized it was from him and began giggling
"Good morning to you to daddy" she said
I laughed with her
He chuckled
"Sorry guys it came outta no where" he said
Vivian continued giggling
