Killua walked through the halls of his school.
His face was stoic and his posture was calm as always. His white hair was styled to the side and his bright blue eyes were looking straight forward, not making eye contact with anyone who was staring at him.
His name was Killua Zoldyck. A junior at HxH high. He had been getting many confessions today and was annoyed as always. The boy always said no, but sometimes he felt a bit bad because some girls cried after being rejected by him.
He was known as the handsome guy who had no interest in love. He was known as the guy that all the girls want, and all the guys were envious of him.
Today was just like every other day. Killua was heading to his locker to grab his books and head to class. He walked down the hallway.
His hands in his pockets, walking casually and calmly. His friends followed behind him, chatting amongst themselves.
They all stopped when they heard the loud bell ring throughout the halls. "Ah shit." Killua
cursed. "I have math next."
The other boys snickered at him. They knew how much Killua hated math.
"Maybe you'll find someone interesting today." One of his friends spoke.
Killua rolled his eyes. He was already bored from this conversation. "You know I'm not into anyone. Why would I look for someone today?"
The others shrugged and they all headed to their classrooms. Killua walked down the hall, the sound of his footsteps echoed off the walls.
He reached his classroom and stepped inside.
There were a few students in the room already, sitting in their seats. Some were talking amongst themselves, others were reading books.
The white haired boy sat in his seat, putting his things on the desk and leaning back into his chair.
He pulled out his phone and checked the time. He still had five minutes before class started.
"Good morning, Killua." Someone greeted him from behind.
Killua turned his head to see his friend Palm standing there. She was carrying a book in her hands.
She wore her usual pink shirt and black skirt. Her long black hair was tied back into a ponytail. She had a soft smile on her face.
Killua returned the smile, his mouth slightly curved upwards.
Palm was one of the few people who knew that Killua was also into boys, She was the only one who understood him.
"Hey." Killua greeted.
Palm smiled and took her seat next to him.
The two sat in silence for a minute, just waiting for class to begin.
Then the bell rang again, signaling that class was starting.
"Alright class," the teacher began. "Today we have a new transfer student. Please be nice to him."
"Hello everyone." The new student greeted.
Killua couldn't help but stare. This person was beautiful. His skin was smooth and pale, his eyes were large and a deep brown. His hair was dark and spiky. He wore a green hoodie and blue jeans.
Killua felt his heart skip a beat. Who was this boy? He didn't remember ever seeing him before.
The new student smiled warmly at everyone. His gaze met Killua's.
"My name is Gon Freecs." He introduced himself. "It's nice to meet you."
Everyone applauded him, and Killua just sat there frozen.
The teacher told him where his seat was and the class began.
The whole class, Killua could only stare at Gon. He knew Gon but he couldn't recall how or where.
Killua shook his head, snapping out of his thoughts.
'Why do I feel this way?'
The rest of the day went on like usual. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. But something did catch Killua's attention.
A girl named Biscuit was walking towards Gon. She was the school's most popular girl, known for her beauty and brains.
Killua watched as she approached Gon.
"Hey Gon." She spoke sweetly. "Are you free after school?"
"Not really." Gon answered, shrugging his shoulders.
"What about tomorrow then?"
Gon shook his head.
"The day after?"
Gon sighed.
"The day after that?"
"I'm busy every day."
Biscuit frowned. "But why? We should go out and have fun."
Gon chuckled. "I have things to do."
"Like what?" Biscuit asked.
"I have homework, I have to study, I have to clean, I have to work out."
"Oh." Biscuit mumbled, disappointed.
Gon patted her shoulder. "Don't worry, maybe next time."
Biscuit sighed and walked away.
Killua was amazed. He couldn't believe that Gon turned down the popular girl.
'Wow...' Killua thought.
The bell rang and Killua gathered his things.
As he left the room, he glanced at Gon, who was walking down the hall with his head hung low.
'What's up with him?' Killua wondered.
Gon walked home from school, his head hanging low.
'What's wrong with me?' Gon thought.
He looked at the ground, kicking rocks along the sidewalk.
'Why did I turn her down?'
He stopped when he heard someone shout his name. He looked up and saw a group of boys walking towards him.
They were his friends from his neighborhood.
"dude Killua was totally eye balling you!" One of them teased.
"Yeah, he looked like he was ready to pounce on you!" Another added.
Gon's face reddened. "That's not true! He probably didn't even notice me."
"Of course he did, everyone did. You're the talk of the school."
Gon sighed. "Whatever, I'm going home."
"suit yourself" the boys replied, leaving.
Gon continued walking, thinking about the white haired boy.
'Killua's popular now?'
.
.
.
"Sorry Gon I don't think we should be friends anymore"
"What why?!" Gon asked
"You and I we just don't fit. Mother told me I should hang out with other alphas now. I can't be seen with a beta"
"Fine! Be that way! I never want to see you again Killua!" Gon screamed.
The boy had ran away, leaving Killua alone.
.
.
.
Gon wiped the tears away from his eyes.
"Why am I thinking about him again?" He questioned himself.
"It doesn't matter."
'I should forget about him.'
'Maybe it's better this way.'
'After all, it's not like he remembers me either.'
Gon arrived home and took a quick shower.
He put on a pair of boxers and a t-shirt and climbed into bed.
"I'm tired." He muttered.
I should try and get some sleep.
The next day, Gon woke up early and headed to school.
'I hope no one notices me today.' He thought.
'Maybe I should stay hidden for a while.'
As he walked to school, he noticed a group of people surrounding a tree.
"Hey, is that the new transfer student?" One of them whispered.
"Yeah, it is."
Gon kept his head low, trying to avoid eye contact with them.
Suddenly, someone bumped into him, causing him to fall backwards.
"Oh, sorry." Gon apologized.
He looked up and saw Killua.
"No problem." Killua said, reaching out his hand. Gon brushed Killua's hand away. He got up on his own walking away from Killua.
'Damn the hell is his problem?' Killua thought.
'He doesn't even want my help?'
Gon made his way to his first period class, hiding his face from the rest of the students.
"Gon?"
The spiky haired boy froze, turning around to see his old friend zushi,
"Oh, hey Zushi." Gon greeted, waving at his friend.
Zushi waved back.
"How's life been? Haven't seen ya since middle school what's up with that?"
"Mito pulled me out of school I'm back now so don't worry about it"
Zushi felt there was more to it but he didn't want to pry so he left it at that.
The two continued to their class.
Gon took a seat next to Zushi and waited for class to start.
"Hey," Zushi said.
"What is it?"
"has Killua said anything to you?"
Gon raised an eyebrow. "Who's that?" Gon acted dumb
"That guy you bumped into earlier. His name is Killua. He's super popular here. Lots of girls like him. Plus wasn't he like your best bud back in middle school"
Gon sighed.
"I didn't even recognize him." Gon lied.
"Really?" Zushi asked.
"Yes, really. Now can we drop this topic, please?"
"Okay." Zushi gave in.
The two remained quiet until class ended.
When class was over, the two boys left together.
"So," Zushi began. "what happened between you and Killua back in middle school?"
Gon clenched his fists, his anger rising.
"Nothing." He replied coldly.
"Oh, come on. I know something happened."
Zushi pushed.
"Zushi, drop it. I said nothing."
Zushi sighed, dropping the topic.
"Whatever you say, Gon."
The two parted ways, and Gon went home.
As he entered his room, he threw himself onto his bed.
"Maybe tomorrow will be better"
On the way, he bumped into Killua again.
"Hey watch it!" Killua exclaimed.
"Sorry." Gon apologized.
Killua sighed. "You're the new transfer student right?"
"Yeah." Gon replied.
Killua smirked. "Well, if you want I could show you around."
Gon's heart skipped a beat.
'Why did it do that?'
"Um, no thanks. I think I'll be fine." Gon declined.
"Whatever." Killua shrugged, walking away.
Gon sighed, watching Killua leave.
'That was weird.
'What's up with him?'
"Hey!"
Someone shouted.
"Who's there?" Gon asked.
"Relax, it's just me." Zushi said.
"Oh, hi Zushi." Gon said.
"Why do you look so sad?"
"Nothing." Gon lied.
Zushi didn't believe him. "Are you sure?"
"Yes, I'm sure." Gon reassured.
Zushi nodded.
"Well, let's go." He said.
The two boys headed to school together.
"So, how's your day been so far?" Zushi asked.
Gon hesitated.
"Pretty normal."
Zushi nodded.
"That's good."
Gon was still worried about Killua.
'Did he change?'
'Or was he always like this?'
"Hey," Zushi called.
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"Yes I'm fine" Gon walked away, he walked to his next class.
Gon turned around the corner it was Killua making out with some random girl.
The brown eyed boy looked away.
'Why is he always in my head? Why can't I get him out?'
Killua smirked as he saw Gon walk away.
'Heh, I'm definitely going to mess with him.'
.
.
.
Gon tried his best to ignore the white haired boy but Killua wouldn't let him.
Killua always seemed to show up wherever Gon was.
The raven haired boy was annoyed.
"Killua!" Gon exclaimed.
"Oh, hey Gon." Killua said casually.
"Why are you always following me around?!"
"I'm not."
"Then why are you here?"
"I'm going to my class."
"Which is where?"
"The same place you're going."
Gon rolled his eyes.
"Whatever."
Killua chuckled.
"Don't act so cold."
"Just leave me alone."
Killua laughed.
"If that's what you want."
The two boys continued walking. They were almost at their destination when someone called out to them.
"Hey!"
"Who's there?"
A man approached them.
"Can I help you?" Gon asked.
"Actually, yes. I've heard a lot about you."
"Really?"
"Yep, you're the new transfer student aren't you?"
"Yeah."
"Well, my name is Leorio. It's nice to meet you."
Leorio held out his hand.
"I'm Gon."
Gon shook Leorio's hand.
"I'm Killua."
Leorio turned his attention towards the other boy.
"Ah, Killua. I've heard about you too. You're quite popular around here."
"Yeah, so I've heard."
"So, what's your relationship with Gon?"
Killua hesitated.
"We're just friends."
"no we aren't apparently he's too good to be friends with someone like me" Gon snarked
Killua was taken aback he had no clue what Gon was talking about.
Killua didn't say anything.
Gon rolled his eyes and walked off.
Killua had to get to the bottom of this. He noticed Gon hung around some kid named zushi. He decided to ask him.
"Yo Zushi"
"Ahhhh!!" Zushi screamed.
"It's just me"
"O-Oh, hey Killua"
"So, Zushi do you know anything about Gon?"
"Why would you want to know?"
"Just answer the question"
"I could ask you the same question"
"What do you mean?"
"I'm talking about you and Gon being besties back in middle school then suddenly being nothing. Something had to happen I want to know what you did to him Killua"
Killua didn't understand what Zushi was saying. He didn't know about Gon and Killua's past.
"Nothing, just tell me about Gon"
Zushi sighed. He was about to speak before Gon intrupted him.
"Zushi why are you hanging around a guy like him" Gon asked Zushi he looked irritated
"Hey what's your problem with me? Killua shouted.
"My problem is that you don't care about me"
"Huh?"
"You said that I was just a beta and you didn't want to be seen with me. And then you started to hang around those alpha jerks."
Killua gasped he finally remembered. "Gon, that was years ago! Why would I still care about that?"
"You know, maybe it would be best if we didn't talk anymore."
Killua clenched his fists.
"Fine, I'm sick of your attitude anyway"
Killua walked away.
Zushi stared at Gon.
"So, that's why."
"Shut up, I'm going home."
"Wait," Zushi called.
"Don't go."
Gon didn't listen. Gon didn't listen. He left without saying a word.
Zushi sighed.
'This isn't good.'
.
.
.
After that Killua started acting strangely around Gon.
