"What...? Y-you're kidding, right?"
Even Izaya was taken-aback.
His face paled, and his eyes widened, revealing brown orbs that were no longer sinister or chocolatey, but instead, frozen in their rotation with fear. He felt his heart skip a beat, which was especially cruel at this time. "...T-that's not true! Shinra doesn't even know what he's saying! I'm not your secret-admirer, Shizu-chan!"
As soon as the words were out, Shizuo felt a pang of confusion in his chest. What was going on?!
"Of course I know who it is! B-but I'm not telling you! J-just leave me alone!" With that, the raven's voice cracked with the lastly word "alone", and he dashed off, soon nowhere in sight of the rooftop. Shizuo, nearly frozen in shock, slowly turned toward the future-doctor, who looked just as surprised as the blonde himself.
"So, Shizuo...when did you get here?"

Izaya ran into the washroom, feeling panic take over his body. His breathing was unsteady, and his vision was heavily blurred due to the amount of tears. "Why? Why oh why oh why!" He buried his face into his hands, sobbing as his shoulders shook with every shaky gasp he inhaled. "Why did it come to this? Why did I do this?! I'm Izaya who can do anything and everything, the Izaya who never messes up. What happened now?! How did I mess up so bad that I...that I ended up falling in love...?"
He couldn't explain it, but he knew it was true. His little heart craved just a hug or a cuddle, or anything more. He craved the kiss of the blonde's lips, or just the scent of him that wafted back thousands of memories Izaya would pay not to forget.
But the blonde beast just had to be there when Shinra was doing his explaining. He just had to overhear, didn't he?
How was Izaya going to convince Shizuo he wasn't his secret-admirer now? And what might Shinra be telling him at the very mome-
"Izaya? You made quite a scene back there, you know."
The raven let out a hush gasp as he rushed to dry his eyes, then turned to face the blonde with his new puffy red ones. "S-Shut up! I'm not your secret-admirer, okay?!" How long had Izaya been in here already? 10 minutes? 15, possibly?
Shizuo sighed. He moved in closer to Izaya, but the raven just backed away in fear. "Hey, I'm not going to do anything, alright? I just wanted to-"
"Heiwajima Shizuooo~!" A girl's voice rang outside of the bathroom door. "Come out here, my dear!"
Izaya raised a brow. Did Shizuo get a girlfriend or something? He glanced at the blonde, but Ikebukuro's Monster seemed just as confused as Izaya himself.
The blonde met eyes with Izaya, nodded, then scampered off toward the door, opening it, but not stepping out. "Uh, yeah, that's me. Who are you?"
"Well, I-I'm here to c-confess. I'm your secret-admirer, of course!"
That was when Izaya felt his heart drop.
