Issei and Akari looked at each other with confusion they had proof that they were missing memories this just added more questions than answers for Issei there were things he wanted to know but now he won't get them.
Issei: well, that's something don't you think? And why is she calling me Shin?
He looked at her and she was in the same boat as him something was off yet familiar at the same time.
Akari: Yeah why would they separate us? It says right there we were holding each other in our sleep show it showed we were close yet they took us away from each other. Yet I remember a bit about you when you were here and you don't remember anything of me *pouting* which is so unfair
He chuckled at her and then looked back at the book.
Issei: well, let's see what this says.
He turned the page, and it was another paragraph.
" log 1, It has been a week and we saved two children from the attack we don't know who attacked us but out of the 5 families only two live Shin and Akari they couldn't stop crying for their parents, lord shin is the worst of it has already showing signs of dragon aggression hopefully Miss Akari manages to calm him down, we've taken refuge here in the overworld the underworld isn't safe anymore nowhere is... - Katherine"
Issei: who the hell is Shin?
Issei was confused there was a new name popping up and not his
Akari: I don't know keep reading and see what it says.
He turned the page, and it was another note
" log 2, I forgot to update this, I had Miki and gorou do some scouting for me while I watched the children, the land was raised and our homes were burnt down and now we last remaining adults and the two children have gone into proper hiding. the kids have calmed down since I removed the memories of their parent's lord Shin stopped lashing out today but when they go to sleep tonight we are separating them, they will believe that I Katherine Maverick will take the name of Granny Katherine Hyoudou, the plan to separate them is to see who will develop their abilities first I believe lord shin will be the first which is why he's leaving with Miki and gorou they agreed to change his name and let him live a simple life till he's ready and I'll watch over Miss Akari here in the country ill leave some of her memories so she can still feel normal it pains me to do this to them they have been friends since they were children but we need to hide them from both the underworld and overworld, I hope and pray they never need to find out about this and I hope we can reunite them to be the king and queen of the dragon clan like they were meant to be – Katherine"
Issei was shocked he couldn't believe it neither could Akari their lives were a lie and kept from them.
Issei fell back with his dragon rage starting to flow while Akari started to cry so many emotions were running through their heads, and they couldn't tell what were lies and what was the truth anymore
Issei saw her crying and sucked it up and brought her into a hug and she just held him while she cried in his lap
After 5 minutes she calmed down and was just listening to his heartbeat neither of them said anything
Akari: hey...
Issei: hey...
Akari: can I come with you I have no one and I would rather be with someone who can relate than being on my own where im attacked by others
Issei: sure, but I don't even know where to go from here
Akari: hmm you're right, but what about you newt your life was all a lie your name isn't even Issei.
He took a deep breath and looked down at her
Issei: just call me Newt... ill figure out my name another time right now it's the least of my problems yours too.
She put her head back down and nodded.
Akari: so, newt did Miki and gorou ever say they going somewhere or doing something, maybe that can be a clue...
Issei thought back a bit and wondered about it and he can vividly remember a few times when they left and even the most recent one.
Issei: not to memory but one that does stick out was that they went to, they recently went to Hawaii without me to do something they were gone for roughly a month before they started asking for me again
Akari: then tomorrow let's go and see what we can find.
Issei: Yeah I still need to process all of this. But tomorrow im going to kick your bullies' asses then we leave
Akari: hmmm
They just stayed like that for a few hours then they went to sleep.
With Akari
She went to go and shower to relax her body so many things ran through her mind like how come newt didn't even have one memory of her yet she was able to have a few here and there
Akari:" I think they wiped his memory again to let him lead a bit of normal life I think it's going to be a while till we both get our memories back and a full explanation"
As she came out and dried her hair, she looked at herself in the mirror and saw how pathetic she looked right now she couldn't even help him with anything yet she asked him to come along when she hadn't a clue what she is doing with herself and hes already protecting her by handling her bullies
Akari: "Why would they do this to us we would have been stronger together now look he's stronger than I am and I'm going to be a burden to him... let me go and talk to him"
With issei
He went to take an ice shower to make him sleep and to try and clear his head once he was done he laid back down on the bed and just looked at the ceiling
Ddraig: words of advice?
Issei" Sure, lay it on me".
He sat on the edge of his bed and listened to what his partner had to say.
Ddraig: given the way it looks now compared to when it happened one would think they separated you two so the clan bloodline lives your granny sounded unsure of future events hoping they would have solved this problem, yet they are missing and you and the girl are finding things they purposely did to protect you
Issei:" Where are you going with this?"
Ddraig: who killed your parents? They had a goal and motive to do this or either your family did something that caused the attack only one thing will change this outcome and it's you, Miki and gorou seemed to be still following the plan to a T, remember they said that they are picking a girl for you to marry you don't think it's her do you?"
He thought back to the last time he saw them and what they said and Ddraig was right.
Issei:" your right but it's too soon and I don't want to string a line on a lot of women just to hurt them all "
Ddraig: I never said do anything, now in the future I believe this girl is going to have such an impact on you that she may even replace the redhead in your heart"
Issei: "That's what I'm scared of... I still love her completely, and I'm not sure with Hancock sure she's nice but I don't know if I can 100% say she's someone I see myself with"
Ddraig: who said rush anything, live for today and let tomorrow sort itself out is how I lived.
Issei: and look at you now trapped in a sacred gear whose host is a teenager who has a crap ton of work to handle
*Knock knock*
Issei: come in Akari.
She walked into his room and looked a bit shy.
Akari: who are you talking to?
Issei: the dragon in my head, anyway what's up
Akari: (light blush) Um I was wondering if I can sleep here tonight, I don't want to be alone is all
She was fiddling with her fingers and tried not to make eye contact with him.
Issei: sure, make yourself comfortable
Akari: thanks... newt *smiling *
She got under the covers and watched him sit on the edge of the bed
He put on a top and then got into the bed next to her.
Issei: is there anything else you wanted to talk about?
She nodded and got a brighter blush.
Akari: (blush)I want you to train me If I'm going to be with you on this journey, I don't want to slow you down and be a burden.
Issei smiled at her and gave her a head pat.
Issei: sure, I'll help you but for now let's get some rest so when we leave tomorrow then things aren't too rushed.
She smiled and nodded.
He laid down and she laid next to him.
Akari: I was thinking about something.
Issei: shoot
Akari: the note said something about being together like we were meant to.
Issei: I don't know myself I remember Miki saying something about them choosing a girl I'm going to marry when I left them, I'm beginning to think they were talking about you.
She grew a blush and tried not to look at him or let him see the blush on her face.
Akari: (blushing) I wonder what they mean by that.
Issei: me too...
He started drifting to sleep and then she did the same.
Back in the underworld
Rias and family were struggling to get Milicas to calm down he wouldn't stop crying; it's been so long since he'd seen Issei that now he was throwing tantrums because Issei wouldn't come to him
Even while walking around, he was always looking for Issei to play with him, they knew that Issei was gone and he wasn't coming back. After trying to get Millicas to calm down rias got sick and ran to the bathroom to throw up
Venelana came to check on her and seeing her throw up for the past few days made her realise something.
Back with issei and Akari
While sleeping issei heard the door unlock and about 5 people were in the house he was 100% sure they were human and a none threat to him he felt Akari get up in fear and started shaking in fear
Issei(whisper) don't come out till I call you
Akari(scard) okay...
He got out of bed and turned to ash and floated around the roof watching them from the ceiling
Guy: are you sure she's here?
Girl: duh, that little slut must be hiding somewhere in this house
Girl2: teach her to try and run away from us during her beating
Guy2: im feeling a bit horny maybe ill have my way with her tonight
Guy3: im with you on that one
They started giggling and Issei snapped he released his zettin and attacked all of them and tied them up when he turned on the lights and looked at them they saw the state they were all in and started freaking out
Issei: now then one to tell me why you came into my house in the middle of the night
Guy: (scared) we sorry it must be the wrong out we thought it was a friends house
Girl: Yeah we were planning on pranking a friend
Issei: Akari come here, please
They saw a door open and she came out looking abit scared
Akari:(scared) yea
Issei: this them?
She nodded
Issei: pulled out a knife and threw it into one of the guy's legs and he started screaming in pain, issei then walked up to him and hit him in the chest knocking the wind out of him
Issei: shut it, now then I heard what you wanted to do to her now how about I do it you
He took one of the girl's arms and slowly broke it with ease when they heard the snap everyone cringed and she started crying
Girl2: (crying) im sorry im sorry please have mercy
Issei grinned and then broke her other arm and both her legs
Then started to break the other girl's arms and legs
Akrai: newt....
Issei: no they want to hurt you this is what they get imagine what they would have done to you if I wasn't here
Guy2(scared) we can sue you for this
Issei: oh really
Issei pulled out a longer blade then stabbed it into his back between hit T2 and T3 Verterbra then
Issei: now you paralysed
he untied him then pushed him over and he started freaking out since he couldn't move
Issei: now then tell me what she did that you decided to bully and abuse her?
Guy: it was the girls they have something against her they just asked us to help them to make her life worse I didn't have anything personly against her
Issei then turned to the two girls on the ground who stopped crying in fear of him standing over them
Girl: She was an irritation to be around she came to us trying to be our friends and she just didn't want to leave us alone
Girl2: so we taught her a lesson and had them help us
Issei:...
He put pressure on their backs and heard them crack and they screamed in pain again
Issei: now you both paralysed
They started crying in pain not able to move fearing hes going to kill them
Akari: newt I think it's enough...
Issei: sure
He knocked out the last guy and waved his hands over their heads and then grabbed all of them and teleported them to the forest and made it look like it was an accident then came back home
As he got back he saw Akari busy cleaning the blood off the floor
He started cleaning next to her and she pushed him away
Akari:(crying) Why did you have to hurt them like that it's way worse than what they did to me
Issei: they wanted to rape and kill you....
She looked at him then fell to her knees and started crying realizing how bad it was going to be
He came closer and she grabbed him and cried into his chest while he comforted her
Issei: no one is going to hurt you I promise
She nodded
Issei: now then let's get back to sleep, she nodded and they went back to sleep, she felt like she could relax for once she didn't like the way Issei handled it but it was sorted
They woke up the next morning and Issei helped her pack some things that she wanted to have on her now.
While he waited for her to finish packing, he went to go and look in Kathrine's cupboard and to his surprise there was a jacket that looked like a man's jacket, he took it out and it was a bomber jacket he put it on and it adjusted to his scales and got the lines he has on his arms and body on the jacket
He looked at it in the mirror and it looked cool he went to check on Akari and then she saw the jacket.
Akari: hey you found the jacket she got for you.
Issei: for me?
Akari: yea she said you'll enjoy it because it suits you and that she's going to have something done to it but if it has to do with the marks matching then I'm sure she did something.
Issei: Yeah they appeared when I put it on
Akari: then I think keep it I mean it was meant for you.
Issei: sure, but are you ready?
Akari just started nodding fast again and the memory of her standing in front of him nodding just like that came up again.
When he came back to his senses, he saw she was putting on a similar jacket to his and nothing happened to it she walked up next to him.
Akari: ready to go newt.
Issei: let me first protect the house so nothing looks out of the ordinary and no one messes with it
They stepped outside it was still dark out, so they weren't going to be seen. he cast the spell and the house was covered like the other house. Akari was amazed rapidly hitting his arm in excitement seeing magic like this he chuckled then took Akari's hand and teleported them to Hawaii.
Once they landed it was sunrise, they could hear the waves crashing and the seagulls making a noise in the distance.
Akari: what now?
Issei: we get disguises and try and change our looks they kept us hidden for a reason so let's keep it like that to knowledge you don't exist and I'm dead.
Akari: wait what? how are you considered dead?
Issei: when we are blended in then we can talk, if I know anything about devils, they are always in the rich areas so if we want to keep a low profile then let's make sure we are not noticeable.
She nodded and then they went to a convenience store and bought hair dye and contact lenses Issei dyed his hair black and had dark blue contacts for Akari didn't do much to herself but she helped him, so she didn't need the contacts or anything to supernatural standards she doesn't exist, but she wore a cap to blend in a bit
When all was said and done, he then took a hair tie from Akari and tied his long hair up. Leaving it in a ponytail
Akari: so, we look different now what else are we going to do?
Issei: don't call me Issei or Newt those names are known call me Shin.
She nodded
Once they stepped out of the bathroom, they just walked around issei had Ddraig hide his power and he was lucky Akari had little to zero magic coming off her so she would seem human.
Not even 10 minutes of walking in the streets issei saw a few devils that work for the leviathans and Gremory's walking around
Issei: called it.
He made them sit down and pointed them out to Akari
Issei: see that guy there and those people there are devils They work for people that know me.
Akari: then it was smart that he decided to disguise ourselves
Issei: hmmm I also see some angles and fallen angels walking around
Akari(scared) them too...
Her heart was racing she didn't expect so many supernatural beings around within the first hour of being here
He nodded.
Issei: they shouldn't see us or notice us since I'm hiding my signature so well you would think I'm human and you hardly even have a signature for them to read or pick up so for now we safe
She hit his arm and pouted.
Akari: (pouting) Are you calling me weak?
Issei: no you're lucky it means they really won't be after you but we just need to be careful around this place, we have 137 islands around us and only 7 can hide something big so we have our work cut out for us
Akari: you know I thought this was going to be exciting, but this is very scary already
Issei: hmm let's just hope we don't need to swim right away let's just go on a few hikes around each of the islands and go on the tours so we can see if anything stands out for us.
Akari: okay now that sounds like fun.
Issei: okay let's get moving and get a hotel, so we have a place to hide in when we need
She nodded and took his hand, and both went walking to the nearest hotel, once they booked a room they sat down and got comfy
Akari: hey shin what are the rings on your fingers?
Issei: I made some friends, and they gave me their rings so I can find them when I need them and it is also a way to get in contact with them.
Akari: they are very beautiful
Issei: Yeah but I think let's just first monitor how everything is and see where the supernatural is mostly condensed perhaps they know something here that we don't
She nodded.
Issei: first off let's try and get you used to reading magic energy I can't have you being a dragon and not able to read magic.
She nodded.
Issei: now then I want you to close your eyes and think of nothing.
She did as he instructed and kept a blank mind as best as possible
Akari: okay what?
Issei: breath it's going to be alright we are getting there, I want you to breathe and feel the life around you feel the wind in your hair moving around your body, look for the things that stand out and don't feel natural
Akari: how do I know if it is magic or not
Issei: trust me now focus and I want you to find me without opening your eyes.
She focused and the world started cracking around her she was starting to feel it then she lost focus.
Akari: okay I think I get it felt like the world around me was starting to break.
He smirked and nodded.
Issei: that's the point now try again
She nodded and tried again
He stepped onto the balcony and looked around and saw a lot of supernatural walking around the beach he made a mental note about it and decided to read the book he found because he didn't believe that it was just two log entries only.
Back in the underworld
They were all sitting with a crying rias.
Sirzechs: rias.
Rias: (crying) NO I DON'T WANT TO HEAR IT IM HAVING THIS BABY
When Venelana noticed she was throwing up a lot and always emotional they had her checked out and they found out she was pregnant but now Issei wasn't there to comfort her through this
The adults thought it wouldn't be a good idea to have the baby because she wasn't ready for motherhood yet, but she kept insisting she was keeping the baby and raising them to know what a great person their father was.
The girls with kiba and Gasper made a promise to help her with anything because Issei meant a lot to all of them and this was to make sure that she was okay and had the support needed.
Sirzechs how about we go to a magic sight in the overworld for a while to help us take our minds off things
Time skip one week
Issei and Akari went on every tour they got signed up for and on each one they found nothing that really stood out to them even when they thought they had a lead on something it always became a dead end, issei even used his dragon eyes to look for any irregular things that looked like they could look at yet nothing but issei had Akari make notes of where they were for when they saw a cave entrance even with the both of them looking for magic signature they had to be careful because there was always a devil. angle or fallen angle around the area so they really had to make sure they weren't going to be seen
Back at the hotel room
Akari(tired) awwwww why is this so hard
She was rolling around the bed, issei just looked up from the chair in the corner of the looking up from the book. And smiled then went back to reading.
Akari: come on shin you of all people should be frustrated how come I'm the only one getting upset that we came all this for nothing?
Issei: well, I'm positive that they came here for a reason for as long as I can remember they never went on holiday like this only recently they were busy with something under the pretence of it being a holiday
Akari: don't you think maybe they really did just go on holiday?
Issei: with that mind then I guess we did come here for nothing...
She looked up at him and saw him reading the book again.
Akari: fine I take it back but why are you always reading that book it's been a week now you should know that there's nothing left in that book.
Issei: you have so much to learn still, there's something wrong with this book it feels like it is hiding from us
Akari: what makes you say that?
Issei: come sit here.
She came closer and looked at him.
Akari: where do you want me to sit?
Issei: on my lap how else am I meant to show you?
She rolled her eyes at him then sat on his lap and he brought the book in front of her
Issei: now look at this.
he took a few pages and used a gem on his hand and illuminated it and she could see a bunch of words written in it, but it wasn't legible. But it was clear there was something hidden on the empty pages
Issei: I think it's purposely hiding things from us I just need to figure out what makes it tick or work so I can break it it's why I'm always reading it
Akari: your right I do have a lot to learn but are you sure that hitting the cave points will be a good idea tonight in the past week the supernatural activity has started to increase since we got here.
She sat back resting her whole body on him and he rested his head against hers
Issei: not really it's just you picking up on them now since you can pick them up more now
Akari: hmmm
Issei: something wrong?
Akari: they went to such great lengths to make sure this information is hidden are you sure that you want to uncover all of it
She had a look of worry in her eyes. He put his hand on her head and messed up her hair
Akari:(angry) BAKA! IT TOOK ME ALL MORNING TO MAKE MY HAIR LOOK NICE
Issei chuckled and stopped messing up her hair.
Issei: yes, I'm sure even if they didn't disappear and died naturally before they could tell us they set it up so we could figure it out if they made it easy then we could have been killed a while ago
Akari: I suppose you're right.
Issei: when am I wrong?
Akari: I'm not sure yet but I'll find a time when you're wrong ill make sure of it and I'll remember it
Issei: All alright so you comfortable with holding your breath?
Akari: yea my dragon lungs seem to have woken up now I can hold it for a solid hour what's next?
Issei: actually, using your power.
He held his hand out and made some fire and then even showed her the manipulation of his scales.
Issei: we will start small before you start using dragon techniques.
Akari: okay
Issei: now let's get some rest.
She nodded and Issei locked up the room to make sure no one could get to them, and they slept till dusk.
They woke up and then put on a change of clothing then Issei teleported them near the first cave.
The night was cold, and the sound of thunder was drawing near.
Issei: we better move stay close to me whatever you do, don't freak out for anything if you must grab me and then scream into my back or something.
She nodded and they made their way into the first cave they walked in and Issei illuminated it and they walked there were tons of rock paintings and even markings depicting dragons' angles fallen angles and devils.
They continued walking till the cave started to get bigger and more open they looked around and there was a marking they saw.
Akari: what is that?
She pointed out how one symbol looked similar yet not the same as what they had seen
Issei: start taking photos while I look around for any hidden door, we need to figure out what is going on here with these paintings
She nodded and started snapping pictures of all the paintings and symbols.
Issei used his dragon eyes to look for any fake doors and to his surprise he found one he opened it, and the room was similar to the one back home yet this time there was the ring on top of a book with a note
He picked it up and read it.
"issei, or lord shin we know things haven't been really good between us recently but this book is filled with some information about our reasoning for what we did and why you and Akari were separated please find it in your heart too forgive us because where ever we are most likely dead if your reading this were sorry we couldn't give you a happy childhood
The ring belonged to your father Kendrick Hyoudou the worlds strongest dragon.

Issei shed a few tears and closed the door then walked to Akari and showed her the note she hugged him while he shed a few tears and she shed a few tears of her own.
Akari:(sad) I'm sorry shin
Issei: it's okay let's get going to the next cave and see if there is anything else for us.
Before he took her hand he put on his father's ring and it made the scales on his arm come and go then went back to normal
they teleported to the next cave little did they know something was watching them from the shadows.
When they arrived at the next cave it was a bit of a tight fit to walk through the walls were getting tighter the deeper, they went as it was about to get to its Absolut tightest the floor caved in and they fell down
Issei grabbed Akari and tanked the fall for both they landed hard enough to make a few cracks in the ground.
Akari: (worried) Oh my god are you okay?
Issei:(in pain) Yeah give me a minute I'll make some light so you can see what you can find.
She nodded and he made some light and started walking around the entrance where they were.
Akari: well, that drop is one thing.
Issei looked up and saw how far they fell and grunted.
She continued to walk around.
Akari: "What am actually looking for?"
She walked a bit and didn't find any rock paintings but a symbol that looked similar yet different.
She took a photo of it and then carried on walking then a magic circle opened up in front of her face and isseis voice came through.
Issei: hey I'm feeling alright I think my arm may be broken but it's fine Ddraig should be able to fix it in a few minutes I'm making my way to you.
Akari: okay see you soon.
She stayed in the one spot and carried on looking at the symbol on the wall trying to figure out where she had seen it, she took a picture of it so they could look at it later
The light started to get brighter and then she could hear isseis footsteps getting closer when she looked, she saw him coming closer.
Akari: hey Shin look here it's another one like the one back at the first cave.
Issei: hmmm again I can't put my finger on where I've seen this before.
Akari: I said the same thing I took a picture already let's go and see what else is in this cave
They reached the end of the cave and this time it was another symbol but this time it was glowing. they looked confused and Akari took a photo of it but then Issei had an idea as to why it was glowing
Issei: hey wait a second.
He pulled out the book from Katherine and then the mark started glowing and then the book opened to the third page and then he could read the pages.
Issei: hey look we can read more of it now.
Akari: cool let's save it for when we get back to the hotel then we can look at this all at once.
Issei: you read my mind.
He checked the rest of the cave and looked like a dead end
Issei: okay hold your breath
They both took a deep breath and when he teleported them they were deep underwater, they could feel the underwater currents pushing them around Akari couldn't see in the dark yet so he guided her with him while he went to the last cave As they got to their air pocket of the cave he pulled her up and they saw this cave is already lit and they could sense devil's angles and fallen all guarding it
He took her hand and placed her on his back, and he moved almost not making a noise at all like a ghost as they got closer they could hear and sense more devils
Akari: do you think you can fight?
Issei: "Ddraig?"
Ddraig: hmm it's healed but try not to take any hits on the arm it might break again.
Issei:" I just need to know if it can handle my body weight and that's it."
Ddriag: hmmm you should be fine.
Akari: Shin what do you want me to do
Issei: we haven't gotten you used to fighting yet but I want you to watch how I fight maybe it'll trigger something in you to try and fight and we unlock your dragon abilities.
She nodded.
Issei took a look at the guards and Akari saw a small black lighting arc off the side of his head then all the guards fell over
Akari: that was amazing shin.
Issei: (smiling) thank you dear.
She pouted and started blushing.
Akari: (blushing) Don't call me dear we don't even know what meant to be together even means yet
Issei: fair enough
They entered the cave issei made sure to make it look like they wouldn't be followed by expanding is range of his zettin and then they just walked into the cave and low and behold it was full of scaffolding and tools. but with each painting it was being chopped around to preserve the photo
Akari: are they trying to remove the paintings?
Issei: looks like it but check the wall over there I think that might be a door.
Akari: then why is it so damaged? surely, they should have figured out that they can't open it right.
Issei: well, what will stop them from taking what they want they must have picked up on something strong here.
Issei went to the door and opened it with his pendent and it opened it.
They didn't know there was a camera watching them live.
They stepped in and there was an item releasing a lot of power
It was a sword on the left side and on the right was a spear each had a note on them.
Issei: check the spear.
She nodded and then they walked to opposite ends of the room.
Issei looked at his note.
"issei your father's dragon sword is stronger than any heavenly sword you could come across made from the teeth and scales of the first dragon to live it has been passed down the Hyoudou for generations – gouro"
Issei took a deep breath and then took the sword he could feel its energy running through his body and his muscles even the ring was glowing with the sword.
He put the sword on his back and then looked at Akari.
She walked to the spear and looked at the note.
"issei this is Akari's mother's spear she always spoke about her using it to fight when she was older it was made from a dying celestial dragon's bones which have been sharpened which should do her well in battle,
Akari if you are reading this then please take your mother's spear it was one of the two items we could save from both families we're sorry we couldn't have saved more things but everything happened so fast so there was little time to be strong for the future and make the dragon clan proud -miki "
She shed a few tears and took the spear and to her and Isseis surprise she started to grow scales on her arms she held it and it spread around her and then went away
Issei: I think we can start training with fighting come one there's nothing else here for us.
She nodded and took his hand issei closed the door again and Akari quickly took a few photos of everything around her while it was still mainly there.
Then they left
Once back at the hotel room they took their things and went to one of the other islands and checked themselves in and went to the room where they got comfy and some food
As they left the old hotel multiple supernatural beings went towards the hotel
Issei: good we made it just in time.
He showed her a projection from the room
Akari: hmm but do they really think we would just hand over our parents' weapons?
Issei: not sure but let's go it'll be a while till they find us again. They going to be checking that island a lot
Akari: good thing we left some sort of signature for them to pick up on in the caves
He nodded and they went to sleep the next day they woke up and looked at each other
Akari: before we leave can we have some fun at the beach, please
Issei: sure this island is pretty far from the other one so maybe we get a day before they come here looking for us
She nodded and quickly changed into her costume
He put on shorts and a jacket to hide a lot of his scars and markings he couldn't do much for his legs and arms but it was fine his markings changed again
The two went down to the beach and to their surprise it was fairly empty they went to a restaurant and when they walked in they could see most of the people there were from the underworld issei walked to the cashier who was this middle-aged man who didn't like them at all
Cashier: you go away your kind is not welcome here
Issei: you don't even know us
Chasier: I know trouble when I see it I won't help you or your little girlfriend
Issei pinched the bridge of his nose and he saw the rings
Cashier: wait where did you get that ring
Issei: huh you mean this one?
He pointed at the ring that Hancock gave him and the man looked worried
Cashier: you have a ring from the snake empress, my apologies sir please take your pick and order anything on the menu free of charge
They looked at each other and then back at the stressed man
Issei: fine but let us pay for the food It is only fair
Cashier: anything for you sir
They walked away confused
Akari: dude what is that ring?
Issei: I have no clue I spent close to maybe 3 months with her on her island and on the second day she gave me the ring saying I can use it in places to get things that are kept away from the public, I thought it was underworld I didn't know it can be used in the overworld too
Akari: just don't use that ring maybe he has information on a cave or two that no one knows about
Issei: smart but first let's have some fun
Issei went to get a surfboard so did Akari they walked to the beach and started surfing, Akari didn't or couldn't hold her balance so Issei had her with him so she could really experience the fun she couldn't stop laughing as they went for it
Back on the shore a family arrived and sat in the same place Issei went surfing.

Rias sat in the sand with her showing stomach they thought this was going to be a devil pregnancy but it's taken longer than normal so now they have to wait and see what happens
Akeno and the others all sat down enjoying the sun and the sound of laughter and screaming from the cold water.

She pointed and everyone looked and saw two people surfing on one board as they came to shore their hearts sank the guy looked so much like Issei none of them could believe it but before they could even call Issei they heard the girl speak
Akari: okay I had my fun we can go now; I can learn how to surf another time we need to go see what else we can find out
Shin: dude don't say it so loud you lucky right now it's only devils and fallen around
As he took her hand the wind blew, and they saw similar markings on his body that Issei also had they watched the couple go and return the surfboards
They were all in shock they were happy Millicas was asleep because he would have thrown a tantrum if he seen that person neither of them could relax after that then Sirzechs got called
Sirzechs: everyone I'm sorry we need to go
They didn't even question it and they left
With Issei at the rental place
Issei: hey man tell me something do you know what this symbol represents?
Issei showed him the symbol and they watched the man's eyes widen
Cashier: in all my years I never thought it was real my grandmother told me stories about the dragon clan but I never thought it was real I mean she even had this old book with the symbol on it that she could never read

Cashier: im not sure friend the words always looked like chicken scratch we just have it around because we thought that it would be important one day

Cashier: by all means, my family don't know how to use it or what it represents so I don't mind giving it to you guys
He went to the back and they could hear him scratching around the back of the store

Issei: if it is then we just got a big clue as to who and what we are
The man came back with a massive book and placed it down infornt of them the symbol clear on the cover
At first, neither of them could read it but then it was like Issei eyes were playing tricks on him and the words started forming

Issei: thank you for this we appreciate it but where did your grandmother get this book?
Cashier: she was a scuba diver and she found it in a cave deep under the water the book was waterproof as she claimed it when she brought it back and it's been like this since
Issei: I see thanks we will visit soon
He put the book into his gauntlet, They nodded and walked away leaving the island
They landed on another uninhabited island and looked around.
Issei: okay now I'm not the only one seeing that right?
Akari: what do you mean?
She turned around and was stunned it was a cabin surrounded by a vail.
Issei: I think this is a cloaking spell hiding the house.
Akari: you think?
They walked closer and went through without issues, they shrugged their shoulders and then walked toward the cabin, which was filled with some food and a bed for them
He sat down and noticed his ring from Runeas was glowing.
He looked at it then a voice came through.
Runeas: issei you there?
Issei: Yeah I'm here what's going on?
He saw Akari on his right with the world's biggest eyes seeing the ring being used as a communications device
Runeas: well, I woke up this morning all well and dandy and the devil community is freaking out because a relic mine was raided and some powerful items were stolen tell me by any chance are you in Hawaii?
Issei: Yeah that was us.
Runeas: us?
Akari: hi
Runeas: wait a second.
The ring let out a projection and they could see Runea's top half
Runeas: want to explain the look?
Issei: well, some discoveries were made, I'm a prince and she's a princess of the dragon clan but it seems 5 families made up the whole clan mine was one and hers was another we found a book and a few things that were left for us with notes
Akari: hi I'm Akari Fermin
Runeas: hello dear I'm runeas gremory, but wow I'm in shock I never expected to see the two of you together but what did you take?
Issei: well one was a sword that belonged to my late father
Akari: and the other was my late mother's spear
They showed her the items and she was impressed by them.
Runeas: well, done I must say I didn't expect two members of the world's strongest clan in the underworld to be making progress this quickly
Issei: hmmm but we have a few documents that need to be read through then maybe we can get a bigger picture. We are missing a lot of memories ourselves so right now we may still be at step one
Runeas: by any chance do you have pictures of your time there?
Issei: you want to make some memories of when we brought the clan back to glory?
She nodded and smiled.
Akari: I'll send them to Issei to send you I oversaw photos.
Runeas: I can't wait to see the devils start to freak out when you come back into power
Issei: why are you so interested in our clan anyway?
Runeas: your clan was strongest for a reason some considered your clan gods, and they were unstoppable but one day it changed, your clan was wiped off the face of the earth and underworld not a trace so imagine my excitement when I saw you
Issei: wow, but I'm going to start putting things together and keep you updated on things, and I'll let you know what happens
Runeas: you better I still have a bone to pick with your father so I'll have you finish it for me.
Issei: how about when we are in power again
She nodded and disappeared.
Then both just sunk into the couch
Issei: I'm beat do you want to do documentation now or after we eat and sleep?
Akari: how about a bath first
Issei: All alright go first I'll go after

She got off him and went to the bathroom as she closed the door her heart started to beat really fast, she put her back against it and fell to the ground.
Akari: (blushing) "Dang it I didn't even ask him if he wanted to join me, I need to stop being scared of him rejecting me..."
She took a deep breath then took off her clothing and got into the shower and showed all the sand and dirt off her body.
Once she was done, she let Issei go and shower and she started making food for them
Issei got into the shower and then took a bit of a long one letting his muscles relax in the hot water
He then got out and just put on some clothing and when he got out the smell of food hit his nostrils and his stomach started grumbling.
Akari: I heard that come eat there was some quick and easy food to make.
Issei: thanks Akari
He took a bite and for the first time in a while, rias popped into his head he looked at the food and saw it was pesto pasta and remembered she liked to make it
He took a deep breath and continued eating.
Akari: something wrong with the food
Issei: just brought up a memory is all, a sad yet happy memory.
Akari: why don't you tell me about it you never did tell me about your life before we met again.
Issei nodded.
Issei: fair enough, alright lets start at the beginning
As he told her about the things that happened, he saw the smile on her face become less and less till she looked ready to cry by the end of his story she hugged him and cried for him
Akari(crying) I'm so sorry
Issei: it's alright it's life we just need to make the best of it
Akari: still they just abandoned you they didn't even bother fighting to free you.
Issei: what else could they have done they had the proof of me doing it I feel like they'll only really figure it by the end of the year that video looked too real to even be questioned really.
Akari: so, what are you going to do if they find out you are alive?
Issei: I don't know right now I don't blame them for anything not at all because I know they were tricked but it still hurt a lot you know.
Akari: well I'll fight for you, you not losing me again *smiles*
Issei: I hope so.
he rested his head on her chest while she held him comforting him for a bit.
after 5 minutes they went to sleep their blinds were blacked out and let them rest for as long as they needed
