This book has beloved characters from other books in the Tainted Blood multiverse and is set after Helena's series & slightly before Reaper Cove, but please feel free to start here and read & enjoy High Stakes, as this multiverse is designed to have the book series be interchangeable.
Kind of like Watching Game of Thrones, then House of the Dragon or the Vampire Diaries, and then The Originals. Reading this story first is fine or maybe even preferred, and then you have the option of extra backstory if you like. ◡̈
