I chuckled and watched as almost every gossip blog started to post me and Cleo's vacation pictures side by side questioning if we were together
I laughed even harder watching people in the comments piece it together and argue with each other

She was at least 35, only had 200 followers, and had the nerve to be talking about someone else's looks

Most People were adding their stupid ass opinions which didn't make any sense
I seen one dude say he'd bet all his money that she was using me for a come up..I went to his page and if you guessed he looked poor then you were right
Now I'm not the type of person to talk down on others because at some point I was in their shoes BUT I can guarantee you that when I was in that situation I didn't make stupid ass comments like that
"You still reading them damn comments?" Cleo asked as she sat my lunch in front of me
"It's pissing me off" I admitted
"Public opinions from private accounts..who cares" she laughed
"Considering the fact that they're saying stupid shit about you, I care"
"Their only remarks are gold digger and claiming that I'm unattractive; there's no truth to either of those things" she laughed
"But still...it's the principle"
"I wouldn't give a fuck if it was the janitor. The men are mad that they aren't you and they can't have me; the women are mad that they aren't me and can't have you" she stated
Her janitor comment made me chuckle as I ate my lunch
She was like super woman to me but her lasso of truth was her eyes
Every time she looked at me I wanted to tell her anything and everything that I ever knew
"Deuce is down for his nap but just in case he wakes up before I get back..his lunch is in the Dino container in the microwave" she said as she grabbed her bag
"I really wish you didn't have to leave" I admitted
"I have to go to work baby" she giggled
"What time you think you'll get back?"
"I'll be home by 6" she nodded
Home. I liked the way that sounds
I watched as she grabbed her car keys and walked over to me
"Send me what you guys want for dinner and I'll pick up the ingredients we don't already have on my way home" she said before giving me a kiss
"Alright" I nodded
I watched as she smiled and walked towards the front door
I don't know what came over me but it was like my mouth, my brain, and my heart weren't on the same page anymore
"Cleo?"
"Yes?" She stopped mid way
"Have a good day at work, I love you"
I couldn't really read her face all the way but It seemed as though she was trying to figure out if I meant what I said
I watched as smile crept on her face
"I love you too baby" she smiled before leaving out
I felt a huge weight roll off of my shoulders because I had been wanting to tell her that for a while
I know everybody might think it's too soon for all that but I know what I'm feeling
I didn't wanna tell her in fear of me moving too fast and scaring her away but I'm glad she feels the same way about me
I finished my food then did the dishes before heading back to the living room
I looked at my phone seeing a missed call from my mom so I instantly called her back
"Hey momma" I smiled as she answered the phone
"Hey, I was just calling to let you know that I could Come and get Deuce today if you still wanted me too" she stated
"I thought you had work today?"
"I did but the client pulled their offer out so I'm free for the rest of the weekend" she nodded
I thought about it because Deuce being home is never an issue but I knew he did wanna go to his grandma's house this weekend
"Yeah you can still pick him up, I can have him ready in a hour" I nodded
"Perfect I'll be over in a hour; love you"
"Love you too ma" I said before hanging up
Time came and went
Deuce was with my mom and I was all alone with my thoughts
I decided to take advantage of the newfound free time and get some rest before Cleo got off of work
|3 HOURS LATER|
I woke up to Cleo shaking me violently and calling my name
She was in an intense state of panic
To the point where I couldn't tell what the hell she was even talking about
"Slow down, what's wrong?" I said as I hopped up and tried to console her
"I can't find Deuce. I bought him this monster truck pajama set and I went in his room to show him and he wasn't there! I looked everywhere! Even the bottom of the pool!"
I sat up and turned the light on only to see Cleo on full blown tears
"Cleo look at me..It's alright. he's with my mom for the weekend" I said as I let held her close to me
I instantly let her go once I realized her shirt was wet and she punched the fuck out of my shoulder with her entire body weight
"Ow!" I said as I rubbed my arm
It stung like hell
"Why didn't you text me?! I thought somebody stole my chil- I mean your child!" She damn year yelled into my ear
I smirked at the slip up
"Glad you find this funny" she scoffed
"I'm sorry baby, I went to sleep right after he left and it slipped my mind. I'll be sure to fill you in next time" I said as I held her close
That was when I realized her pants and hair were also wet...so was the floor
"Uh why are you soaked?"
"I told your stupid ass I jumped in the pool looking for your child at the bottom of it" she said plainly
I couldn't help but laugh because this was the craziest shit I've ever seen or heard
"Here" I said as I got her a towel from the closet
"I need a shower" she huffed before taking the towel and walking away
All I could do was laugh at her before taking my ass back to bed...
