Musashi: "Well... Can't blame her for making a Feast after their constant war."

[Because in that letter saying "Feast", Paimon floats happily and both of them know why.]
Paimon: "Hehe~ Paimon can eat a lot today!"
Musashi: "...Where there is food..." Lumine: "Paimon will come to eat."

[All three of them laughed after Musashi and Lumine makes a joke about Paimon being so glutton.]
Musashi: "Alright! Let us be off!"

-------------------- Chapter 53 -------------------

(Still 3RD POV)
[Few hours later... They all arrived at Watatsumi Island. The trio walk together towards the designated location near the near the Resistance Camp.]
Paimon: "This should be where Kokomi said to meet her. Do you still remember this place?"
Musashi: "Kinda..."
Lumine: "I do."

[Paimon starts reminiscing about the past... During their stay as Swordfish II's captain and Lieutenant.]
Paimon: "Paimon remembers we came by here last time we visited Watatsumi Island. That was back when both of you did your stint as Captain and Lieutenant of Swordfish II. Paimon's curious whether the resistance troops still remember you..."

[Musashi just shrugged of her shoulder as Lumine nods with a smile.]
Paimon: "Anyway! Things on the island must have changed a lot since then! Shall we take a look around?"
Musashi: "Yup! Let's move and meet the others!"
Lumine: "Agreed!"

[The trio decide to walk around the area. They all are trying to find out about what happened around. But then, the trio saw Gorou and two samurai are standing at the higher ground near the abandoned port.]

Gorou: "If the enemy outnumbers you, seek their weakness and exploit it. If you outnumber the enemy, seek unequivocal domination and crush them... Marauders on the waterfront are supplied by sea. Burning their ships is the path to success..."
Toshihiko: "General Gorou, Sir. Do you have a verdict?"

[Gorou nods his head. He also starts formulating a plan.]
Gorou: "More or less. From the directives left behind by Her Excellency, we can surmise that a Fatui ship is moored nearby. This explains their aggressive posture. We could split into two teams - one to draw their attention, the other to circle around behind enemy lines and set fire to their ship. They'd have nowhere to run!"

[Gorou has made up his mind to use the fire attack against Fatui's ship. But then, he sighed deeply.]
Gorou: "Then again, Her Excellency made clear that we are not to split up without sufficient forces. We'd risk being picked off one by one until our whole line of defense disintegrated..."
Koutoku: "Sir, shall I send for reinforcements?"

[Gorou shakes his head again. He looks totally overwhelmed by this situation.]
Gorou: "I doubt there's time. Based on their movements, they'd likely be gone before our troops arrived. Her Excellency's directives also stipulate that we should "Wait in ambush and avoid making the first move." Since we lack sufficient troops, I don't think we can afford to engage the enemy at this time."
Toshihiko: "Sir... We're just going to stand by and watch them leave? Surely there must be another way!"

[Gorou grits his teeth in a bit of frustration.]
Gorou: "...Her Excellency's directives also state: "Help may arrive when all seems lost..." As for where this help is supposed to come from, I-"
Paimon: "Hey, Gorou! What're you guys up to?"

[Gorou, Toshihiko and Koutoku shocked all together when they all saw Musashi, Lumine and Paimon are approaching them. Swiftly, Koutoku and Toshihiko salutes them.]
Koutoku: "Captain! Lieutenant! You both have returned to Watatsumi Island!"
Musashi: "Hehe~ We are here to lend a hand."
Gorou: "That's great! Her Excellency's directives are as reliable as ever... Lumine, Musashi, you all have arrived just in time."

[Swiftly, Gorou decides to informs the trio about what the heck is going on right now.]
Gorou: "Recently, the remnants of the Fatui forces have been unusually active. We've been monitoring their movements waiting in ambush here. Unfortunately, we don't have the manpower to split into two teams. Can we ask you to keep them occupied?"

[And as always... the trio wouldn't say no to someone that asked them a favor.]
Lumine: "Of course!"
Musashi: "Oh~ I love to kick those Fatui's butt."
Paimon: "Hard to say no when it's the Fatui. Whatever they're planning, we won't let them get away with it."

[Gorou nods slightly. All plan are going in motion.]
Gorou: "Good! There's not a moment to lose. We'll go behind enemy lines and sabotage their ship. Let's meet back here afterward. Watch yourselves. We'll be back shortly."

[Gorou and his subordinates swiftly run to prepare the fire attack.]
Paimon: "Seems like the resistance still remembers us! C'mon, let's help them get this situation under control!"
Lumine: "Alright..."
Musashi: "LET'S DO THIS THING!!!"

*WUSH!!*
[Swiftly both Lumine and Musashi runs fast to confront those Fatui head on.]
Fatui 1: "WHA-"

*BUAGH!!*
Fatui 1: "GYAWACK!!!"

[Musashi swiftly punches one of the Fatui with her fist. And... the big one with hammer is shocked when he saw Musashi and Lumine are charging through the port.]
Fatui 2: "Ambush!? At the place like this!?"
Musashi: "Hah! Got you, dumbo!"

[Both Musashi Lumine took their sword out.]
Musashi: "Come on! Bring it!"
Fatui 3: "Urgh! Them again! Kill them! Kill them all!"

*BRUAGH!!!*
[The Electro Fatui runs towards them and swings his hammer horizontally at them. But they manages to evade it and spread out.]
Fatui 3: "What the!?"
Musashi: "Too slow!"

*WUSH!* *BUAGH!*
[Musashi pushed the Electro Fatui away with her Anemo power.]
Musashi: "Lumine!"
Lumine: "Got it!"

*SLASH!*
[With one hard slash, The Electro Fatui is down. But...]
Fatui 4 & 5: "EAT THIS!!!"

*BANG!* *BANG!*
[Two Pyro Fatui points their gun at Lumine and starts shooting at her. But...]
Musashi: "Oh no, you don't, you dolts!"

*TANG!* *TANG!*
[Fastly enough, Musashi stood in front of Lumine and slashed at the two bullets. And... The Fatui were getting angrier.]
Musashi: "Sorry... No one allow to leave this place alive."
Fatui 5: "DAMN YOU!!!"

*BOOM!!!* *BWOSH!!!*
[All of a sudden, the fatui's ship has been on fire after that explosion.]
Fatui 6: "Comrades! They've set the ship on fire!"
Fatui 7: "An arson attack!? Curse them! They leave us no choice but to attack! Comrades, let's make them regret it!"

*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*
[Musashi and Lumine are running fast towards Those Pyro Fatui. And they starts shooting at them but they dodges their bullet, and...]
Musashi/Lumine: "EAT THIS!!!"

*SLASH!* *SLASH!*

Fatui 5: "ARGH!!"
Fatui 6: "ORGH!!!"
Fatui 7: "GHOAK!!!"

[Musashi and Lumine attacked simultaneously. And, it succeeded in knocking down their enemy.]
Musashi: "Done..."
Lumine: "And Dusted..."

*CLAP!*
[They both put their weapon back and do the high five. After that fiasco... Some of Watatsumi's soldier decides to take care of it while the trio goes back to higher ground and report their victory to Gorou.]
Musashi: "Gorou! We're back!"

[And with just one glance, Gorou knows well the trio have done their job perfectly.]
Gorou: "We were lucky to have you here. We'd have had no way to prevent their escape without you."
Paimon: "What's that you're holding? Is it the directives from Kokomi?"

[The trio notices Gorou is holding a lot of book on his hand. Paimon seems eager to know what those books are.]
Paimon: "Let Paimon see... Oh wow, this is a whole book! Is it ALL Kokomi's directives?"
Gorou: "Yeah. Well, no, not all of them - I have five more volumes with me."
Paimon: "Are you serious!?"

[Paimon shocked when Gorou said he has five more volumes. As for Musashi and Lumine... they both just whistles softly.]
Musashi: "Oh boy..."
Gorou: "Her Excellency always plans for every scenario. Plus, these are her General Operational Directives, which are more comprehensive than most. Still, we're fortunate to have them. They make sure we're prepared for every eventuality, no matter how complex."
Paimon: "Whew, understanding every eventuality sounds tiring enough, let alone writing them all down. Must have taken Kokomi a heck of a long time..."
Koutoku: "Captain! Lieutenant!"

[At the same time, Koutoku runs towards them to greet his Captain and his Lieutenant.]
Koutoku: "Are you two back on Watatsumi Island to lead Swordfish II again? We've all been feeling your absence."
Musashi: "Yo! Koutoku! Is Swordfish II still going strong?"
Lumine: "And how's everyone doing?"
Koutoku: "Her Excellency says that now is a time of peace, and that we should reduce the size of the military and focus on helping the civilian population return to normal life."

[But then, Koutoku just chuckles nervously as he scratches his "not-so" itchy hair.]
Koutoku: "And... Uh... About half of us are still organized into task forces, supporting the platoons. The other half have been given various other functions like patrol, construction, and farming. Of course, not everyone's happy about it. The other day, an old buddy of mine was grumbling about being forced to build houses. Said they'd have to drag him away from the front line kicking and screaming, hahaha."

[The trio glad Swordfish II is alright. But even so, Koutoku about the unrest of them starts to make them worry.]
Musashi: "Talk about fighting..."
Lumine: "They all seems eager."
Paimon: "The spirit of the resistance is alive and well, huh... Anyway, we're here because Kokomi invited us to the Victory Feast. Do you know where we can find her, Gorou?"

[Instantly, Gorou remembers about the Victory Feast that will be held soon.]
Gorou: "Oh, right... I believe Her Excellency is currently at Bourou Village."
Musashi: "Bourou Village? Is something happened over there?"

[Gorou nods. He tells the trio about what is going on at Borou Village that invites Kokomi's appearence there.]
Gorou: "There were reports of a possible disturbance over there. If I'm not mistaken, Her Excellency has gone to deal with it in person. We should probably get going ourselves."
Lumine: "In that case, let's go there and see if we can do something."

[Musashi and Paimon nods in agreement.]
Musashi: "Alright! Borou Village, here we go!"
Gorou: "And uh... Musashi and Lumine... On your way over, please check in on the soldiers."

[Lumine seems confused about Gorou's request.]
Lumine: "Eh? Why?"
Gorou: "Well... I'm sensing a growing unease among them, but I don't know what's causing it... They won't say. They used to tell me all their concerns, but whatever this is, they're keeping it hidden... I don't like it one bit - I suspect there's trouble afoot."

[And this is exactly what the trio are afraid of. Swiftly... They all agreed to help.]
Lumine: "Sure, I'll see what I can do."
Musashi: "After all... It'll be nice to catch up with them."
Paimon: "Sounds good! Paimon was just thinking it'd be good to see everyone again. Ready when you are, Lumine! Slime's Lover!"

[Swiftly... The trio left the scene and walk towards Bourou Village. But on their way there...]
????: "Wait, aren't you two... Captain and Lieutenant of Swordfish II?"
Musashi: "Huh?"

[The trio looks at a soldier that seems... grateful.]
Denjirou: "It is you! You have our gratitude. Watatsumi Island wouldn't have come to peace without your efforts."

[That soldier named Denjirou shakes Lumine and Musashi's hand.]
Denjirou: "I wasn't with Swordfish II, but I did see you in Tatarasuna.
Denjirou: You really gave it to those Shogunate Samurai in the fight of honor! It was quite the show! Is there anything you need from me? I'm at your service!"

[Turns out, Denjirou is one of the soldiers that participate in the battle against Shogunate Army at Tatarasuna. Musashi saw this as a chance to find out what the heck is going on among Watatsumi Soldier.]
Musashi: "So... I've heard people are a bit on edge these days..."
Denjirou: "On edge, you say? Ah yeah... Yeah, I've noticed it too."

[Denjirou seems knows what is going on and decides to tell the trio the problem.]
Denjirou: "In fairness, the battle isn't long over and, well, perhaps it isn't quite over for them, know what I mean? Every single person looked death in the face that day. That's not an experience you forget in a hurry. Victory's declared and all of a sudden, the fighting's over - but people can't just snap back into normal life again. I think things will improve, but it's gonna take some time. I don't know what else it could be. But what I do know is that as long as Her Excellency is with us, Watatsumi Island is safe."

[But then, he just chuckles softly.]
Denjirou: "And all the more so now that you're back! Seriously, if there's ever anything you need, just say the word."
Musashi: "Thanks a bunch, Denjirou!"
Lumine: "We appreciate your help!"

[The trio continue with their walk on their way to Bourou Village after saying goodbye to Denjirou. But then, they saw a sleepy guard that yawned so hard.]
Musashi: "Uh..."
Arisawa: "Peace at last... Livin' the dream... Hmm? Don't I know you...?"
Arisawa: I've definitely seen you somewhere before... Can't place you, but I'm guessing you're not with the Shogun's Army. So, do you need something?"

[Musashi tries to wave her hand in front of that guard's face. But, he didn't realize as he is yawning again. Lumine chuckles and decides to ask.]
Lumine: "Well... I hear people are feeling unsettled at the moment..."

[That guard named Arisawa tilted his head.]
Arisawa: "Unsettled? ...Unsettled how? I haven't noticed anything. Not that I would, necessarily. I keep to myself mostly. They're all too rowdy for me. We're at peace now, finally, and I for one intend to make the most of it. My life right now is about two things, and two things only: the sun and the sea breeze."

[Arisawa yawns again. The trio just sweatdropped on the spot.]
Arisawa: "Sorry that I can't be of more help to you. I'll tell you someone you could ask, though - Sangonomiya. She knows everything."

[The trio just nods swiftly and decides to go away.]
Musashi: "Oh boy..."
Lumine: "I never saw a guard like him before."
Paimon: "Seems he's about to fall asleep. Let's leave him to rest and go find someone else to ask."

[Both Lumine and Musashi nervously agreed with Paimon's idea and continue their walk. The trio almost reaches Bourou Village.. At the same...]
Yoshihisa: "Ugh, I don't understand what Her Excellency is thinking. I mean, peace talks? Gimme a break. Why would she agree to that?"
Tsuneo: "Exactly... everyone knows you can't trust the Tenryou Commission. I heard they've been secretly coordinating with the Fatui and plan to continue their attacks."

[Near Bourou Village, two of Watatsumi Samurai seems un-satisfied with this peace talk because of that rumors.]
Yoshihisa: "Wait, for real? You're sure of this?"
Tsuneo: "Positive. Some of our guys had a run-in with a few Fatui. They caught them conspiring together, first-hand."

[They both keep talking about that peace talk... And because of that rumors... They seems un-satisfied and want to keep waging war against Shogunate Army.]
Yoshihisa: "I knew it! The Tenryou Commission are a bunch of crooks - they'll never change. Honestly... it's kinda naïve of Her Excellency to take them at their word, isn't it?"
Tsuneo: "Shh, keep your voice down, someone's coming."

[At the same time, the trio approaches them.]
Musashi: "Yo!"
Lumine: "Hello."
Paimon: "Hey there, whatcha talkin' about?"
Yoshihisa: "Oh, uh, Captain Lumine? Lieutenant Musashi? You're back!"

[They both nods their head.]
Lumine: "We're here to join you at the Victory Feast."
Musashi: "So... Anything to report?"

[Swiftly, Yoshihisa whispers on Tsuneo's ear.]
Yoshihisa: "Do you think we should tell the captain about what we were discussing just now?"
Tsuneo: "No, let's not mention it. They both are ones of her closest advisers. For all we know, the peace talks could have been one of their idea... Not to mention, i heard our so-called Lieutenant seems close with Raiden Shogun and her crooks."
Yoshihisa: "I'm sure the captain would see where we're coming from... But you're right, we should play it safe."

[Musashi just heard their conversation. She seems irritated a bit. But, she decides not to say anything about that.]
Yoshihisa: "Uh, welcome back to Watatsumi Island, Captain! Nothing to report here, everything is A-OK!"
Tsuneo: "Her Excellency should be in the village at present. Head straight over if you wish, Captain!"

[Swiftly, Musashi pulls Lumine's hand.]
Lumine: "Eh?"
Musashi: "Let's go, Lumine."

[Musashi pulls Lumine's hand and walk away from those guards, followed by Paimon.]
Lumine: (Hmm... Musashi must be angry because of their conversation and accusing both her and Ei.)

[They continues their walk... Until the saw the entrance gate of Bourou Village, but...]

Matsuda: "Admit it! We know you've been secretly supplying the Tenryou Commission with goods purchased on Watatsumi Island! I knew something was off about a Tenryou Commission merchant doing business here. So what do you have to say for yourself, huh?"

[There's a merchant that being accused of a spy of Tenryou Commissions. The trio swiftly approaches them to calm down the situation.]

Naruse: "I'm innocent..."

Uchimura: "Ha! You're as guilty as they come. You never should've been allowed to set foot on this island, let alone do business here. Take him away!"

[Matsuda tries to take that merchant away, but...]
Lumine: "Hold on, are we-"
????: "Wait!"

Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Huh? Lumine, Paimon and Musashi-chan too?"
Paimon: "Kokomi! There you are! Something's going down over here, you should take a look, pronto!"

[As Sangonomiya Kokomi is here, those guards seems on edge.]
Matsuda: "Y-Your Excellency! This merchant is suspected of criminal activity, so we seized him for questioning. Our surveillance shows that in his whole time here, he has made numerous purchases but no sales. And yet he has no stock in his possession. We believe it's highly probable that he has been supplying the Tenryou Commission behind the scenes!"
Naruse: "I-I haven't... I..."

[Kokomi tries to calm them down.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That will do. Let's not let ourselves get too worked up here, shall we? Everyone take a deep breath with me, in... and out... Better?"

[They all have followed Kokomi's suggestions and feel calm. And she looks at the guards.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Matsuda, Uchimura - I understand that you're concerned for the safety of Watatsumi Island. But... Before we make any decision over whether this merchant is guilty or not, we must give him the chance to explain himself. If he's guilty, of course there will be consequences. But if he's innocent, he doesn't deserve to be falsely accused. This is Watatsumi Island. We deal in facts, not opinions."

[The guards reluclantly nods their head. Kokomi decides to extract some info from that merchant.]
Musashi: (Oh~ Nice and Swift move, Kokomi-chan.👍)
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Excuse me, Sir. As you know, my subordinates have some concerns surrounding your commercial activity here. Perhaps you could explain your side of the story, to help me reach a verdict?"

[That merchant nods his head vigorously. He wants to prove he is innocent.]
Naruse: "I'm a trader on the island, so naturally I've built up some inventory. I was planning to hold off on selling until the prices went up, but then... I was robbed by the Fatui. They took everything! Think about that! First I lose all my inventory, then I get treated like a criminal..."
Uchimura: "Hmph. And why should we believe you?"

[At the same time, both Lumine and Musashi remembered about those Fatui they encountered earlier.]
Lumine: "Well... On the way here..."
Musashi: "We ran into some Fatui..."
Uchimura: "So what!? That doesn't prove they took his goods! And even if they did, it'll still end up in the Tenryou Commission's hands. They're in this together!"

[That merchant widened his eyes in disbelief after hearing this news about Tenryou Commission.]
Naruse: "What? The Tenryou Commission are colluding with the Fatui now? ...That's the first I've heard of it! Supposed it is true - what's that got to do with me...?"

[Paimon seems confused by this situation. In fact, both Lumine and Musashi also feel the same.]
Musashi: "...."
Lumine: "...."
Paimon: "Would the Tenryou Commission start colluding with the Fatui after the fighting's already finished? Hmm, seems unlikely to Paimon. We met a representative of the Kujou Clan recently. It doesn't seem like he'd have the time to be colluding right now. But on the way over here, we accidentally on purpose overheard some soldiers mention the exact same thing. Kokomi, do you know anything about it?"

[Kokomi nods her head as she seems know about this matter.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "It has been brought to my attention, yes. We are scheduled to begin peace talks with the Tenryou Commission soon. The Kamisato Clan has arranged for them to take place in a neutral location. Kujou Sara and I will be accompanied by our guards. We will use the talks to discuss future plans in detail."

[But, as always... Kokomi has a bit of doubt about this peace talks.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "But just as arrangements for the peace talks began to fall into place, I started hearing rumors of collusion between the Kujou Clan and the Fatui. Allegedly, their goal is to completely wipe out Watatsumi Island. If that is the case, then the peace talks are likely a trap. Even the Kamisato Clan could be involved..."
Musashi: "...But not Ayaka..."

[All of a sudden, Musashi seems worried if Ayaka has something to do with this. But, she decides to shake off that thought. At the same time, Kokomi keep trying to extract more info from this merchant.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Sir, are you quite certain that your goods were stolen by the Fatui?"
Naruse: "Yes, it's the truth, I swear! They stole my goods and then ran off that way. I'll bet that's where their hideout is!"

[Kokomi swiftly formulate a plan in her head. And...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Very well. Hmm... The potential ramifications of this incident are serious. We will retrieve your goods and if everything is in order, it will prove your innocence. However, if we find evidence to corroborate the claims of collusion between the Fatui and the Tenryou Commission, I expect you to fully comply with our investigation. Do we have an understanding?"

[The merchant and the guards decide to follow Kokomi's suggestion for now.]
Naruse: "Yes, of course! Thank you, Your Excellency."
Matsuda: "Well received, Your Excellency."

[Kokomi nods her head. Then, she looks at Lumine, Musashi and Paimon... asking them for help.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Now, Captain and Lieutenant of Swordfish Platoon, Section II, would you two join me in the investigation?"
Lumine: "Sure thing."
Musashi: "Yes, Ma'am!"

[Kokomi chuckles and smiles. She totally relieved because she has two best friend (well... one crush 😅) that will always support her decision.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hehe, good... I look forward to seeing how you've progressed lately. Ah... I also have a few new things to teach you. Alright, follow me."
Paimon: "If we do find the merchant's goods in the hands of the Fatui, it'll prove he's innocent. Whatever's going on between the Fatui and the Tenryou Commission, we need to get to the bottom of it!"
Musashi: "Okay! Let's find out!"

(2 hours later...)
[After 2 hours of walking, the trio finally locate the temporary Fatui camp near the beach. The trio hides on the bushes.]
Musashi: "There they are."
Lumine: "Three Fatui dead ahead."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "This must be the Fatui camp that the merchant was talking about. From the looks of it, it used to be a hilichurl camp. Who knows why the Fatui occupied it."
Paimon: "Uhh... looks pretty heavily guarded, how are we supposed to get in?"

[Kokomi swiftly switched on her brain.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Not by brute force, that's for sure. But that's not a problem. The terrain here gives us an advantage, and we haven't given away our position so far. Our enemy is in the light, while we are in the shadows. Strategically, we have the upper hand."
Musashi: "And what does the grand strategist have in mind?"

[Kokomi chuckles as she already have plans in motion.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hmm... I think we have three options available."
Musashi: "Let's hear it."

[Kokomi chuckles as she unveil their options.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Option 1: Take the king and it's checkmate. The Fatui's presence in Inazuma is weak at present. Nothing more than a few scattered remnants. If we strike from above and take down their leader first, the rest of them will be hard-pressed to put up a serious fight."

[Musashi whistles slightly as she really likes that option.]
Musashi: "Nice... My style..."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Option 2: Hit them where it hurts."
Lumine: "What do you mean by that?"

[Kokomi points her finger at the kegs full of gunpowder.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Over there, Lumine, for example - a store of gunpowder kegs. If we managed to discreetly set the gunpowder alight without alerting them, it would deal them a devastating blow. They'd be caught completely off guard. Both their morale and fighting capacity would be severely impaired."

[Lumine nods her head as she agreed. Using fire attack to destroy the camp all at once. But, Kokomi has third option.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Option 3: Use the environment against them. We're close to the sea here, so the air is very humid. I can gather the water vapor, you add a touch of lightning, and together we can shock them into submission."
Musashi: "Oh~ How nice..."

[After Kokomi unveil her three option, Paimon truly impressed.]
Paimon: "Wow, that's our grand strategist! It's a lot to think about though... which option should we choose?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That will depend on our assessment of our own abilities. A surprise attack from the air is the quickest solution, but requires superior combat skills. With an explosion, we could rapidly reduce their numbers without a protracted battle. But absolute stealth would be required during the operation, or we'd risk exposing ourselves. If we decide to take advantage of the environment, we should be prepared for a lengthy siege. So, Lumine, which is your preferred option?"

[All eyes are looking at Lumine. She' the one that will choose one of three strategy that Kokomi has just offer to them.]
Musashi: "I'll follow your decision."

[And even Musashi agrees to follow Lumine's decision. Without thinking too long, she has decided to use...]
Lumine: "Second one... Gunpowder plot."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Haha, it seems that you share my strategic sensibilities. This is my preferred tactic. It places us in the least amount of danger. Let's work together to give them the surprise of their lives."
Musashi: "Oh... I know how to ignite those black powder..."

[Quietly, Musashi whistles and... numerous Pyro Slimes appears before them.]
Pyro Slimes: "KYUU!"
Musashi: "Heya, buddy!"

[Paimon sweatdropped on the spot while Lumine chuckles softly.]
Paimon: "Ugh... Paimon totally forgot about these Slimes."
Lumine: "Hehe~ They could make our job easier."

[At the same time, Kokomi fall in thought for a moment...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: (So... the rumors about her is true, after all. These slimes aren't dangerous as we thought.)

[And then... the plan is in motion... Those slimes starts throwing up some fire liquid towards those black powder, and...]
Musashi: "3... 2... 1... and..."

*BOOOOOOMMMMM!!!!*
[A huge explosion happened. That explosion starts tearing down the camp. Those Fatui seems in panic.]
Fatui 1: "WHAT HAPPENED!?"
Fatui 2: "WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!?"
Fatui 3: "AGAIN!? AT TIME LIKE-"

*WUSH!*
[Swiftly, Musashi jumps fast, and...]
Musashi: "HAAAAAAAA!!!!!"

*SLASH!* *SLASH!* *SLASH!*
[And... with just triple slash... All of those Fatui has been defeated. Kokomi, Lumine and Paimon still impressed by Musashi's swift and deadly attack.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: Excellent work, Musashi-chan!"
Lumine: "Same as always!"

[While Lumine and Kokomi praised Musashi for her expertise, Paimon decides to praise someone else, who turned out to be...]
Paimon: "Hee-hee, all thanks to your genius tactics!"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Actually, even the best tactics live or die on the strength of those executing them. Winning a battle takes a concerted effort from everyone involved. Victory never belongs to a single person."
Paimon: "Now that you mention it, Paimon did make a pretty big contribution, huh..."

[And... both Musashi and Lumine just sweatdropped on the spot. They never thought Paimon would said those words.]
Musashi: "Well... I beg to differ. 😑"
Lumine: "Same here. 😑"
Paimon: "Hey! 😡"

[Paimon feels offended by Lumine and Musashi's comment. Kokomi just chuckles for seconds. And then, she turned serious again when her eyes is looking at that camp.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I must admit, I wasn't expecting to find the Fatui laying low in a hilichurl camp. Presumably they've been operating out of here in secret for quite some time. What's their objective? Are the soldiers right? Could they really be in collusion with the Tenryou Commission?"

[Kokomi walks in and start searching.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "In this case... Let's scour the camp for evidence. If the merchant's story is true, the inventory should be here."
Paimon: "Alright! Time to take a look around."
Musashi: "Okay!"
Lumine: "Let's find out!"

(1 hour later...)
[After an hour of searching... The trio seems found out something inside the cargo.]
Paimon: "Kokomi, we found the merchant's stuff. Look!"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Mm... I see."

[Musashi titled her head in confusion. Even Lumine and Paimon don't understand what Kokomi meant by that.]
Musashi: "Uh... Something wrong?"
Lumine: "What are you thinking?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Let's see here... Yes, these are the stolen goods alright."

[Kokomi decides to check that cargo more thoroughly.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hmm... Food, medicine, farming tools... All essential for post-war recovery. He was probably stockpiling them until he could make a handsome profit. By contrast, it's doubtful that the Tenryou Commission has any need of these items, so the idea that he was supplying them doesn't make a lot of sense. In all likelihood, he's just an opportunistic merchant. Nothing quite as scandalous as Matsuda and Uchimura had imagined."

[Turns out, that meechant is just a mere evil smart merchant, nothing more.]
Paimon: "Uhh... he's hardly a saint, though, right? How could he stockpile things that people are desperate for? We're not gonna just give them back to him and let him go, are we? It doesn't feel right..."
Musashi: "Should we arrest him?"
Lumine: "Or maybe... just kick him out of Watatsumi Island?"

[Kokomi swiftly shakes her head and smiles towards the trio.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "In my recently issued Post-War Temporary Decree, I included restrictions on the prices of essential everyday goods. These items will ultimately reach the people at a reasonable price. If he had taken the time to read the decree, it's unlikely he ever would have ended up in this predicament."

[The trio totally impressed by Kokomi's foresight, especially Musashi herself.]
Musashi: (Holy smokes... Kokomi almost look like Zhuge Liang or Sima Yi from Three Kingdom!)
Paimon: "Kokomi, you think of everything!"

[Kokomi just nods softly, but she seems still has doubt.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I wish that were true. Take this alleged collusion between the Tenryou Commission and the Fatui, for example. I'm still completely stumped. The low energy doesn't exactly help..."

[The trio seems confused when Kokomi mentioned "low energy".]
Musashi: "Low what? 🤔"
Lumine: "Energy? 🤔"
Paimon: "What do you mean by that?"

[Kokomi just shakes her head swiftly. But Musashi notices a small blush at Kokomi's face.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Nothing. Come on, let's take the goods back. It's not long now until the Victory Feast. It'll be a race against the clock to get all of this resolved before it starts."
Paimon: "Got it! First we mend the peace, then we attend the feast!"

(Another one hour later...)
[The trio and Kokomi finally returned to the gate of Bourou Village with those goods. That merchant seems grateful.]
Naruse: "My goods! You got 'em back! Thank you, Your Excellency! Thank you, Captain! Thank you, Lieutenant!"

[Then, that merchant smiles smugly at the guards.]
Naruse: "You see? I told you I was innocent!"
Matsuda: "Hmph... I'm not so sure. You could have easily planned the whole thing with the Fatui in advance..."

[Swiftly, Kokomi decides to tell the guards what she and the trio has just found.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Based on the information we gathered from the Fatui camp, there's nothing to suggest he had any correspondence with them. Had it been the case, then knowing how the Fatui operates, they would have left some evidence of it."
Uchimura: "But... what if-"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "No ifs, no buts. We've recovered the goods. As agreed, this is sufficient to establish his innocence."

[The guards just sighed in defeat.]
Matsuda: "Sorry this happened."
Uchimura: "Guess we got carried away."
Naruse: "Hah! What did I tell you? You army numskulls don't have a clue - all brawn and no brains! Coming to me with your crazy conspiracies... Lay off me next time, got it?"

💢*TWITCH!*💢
[Instantly, Musashi, Lumine and Paimon feel annoyed because of this merchant's stupidity and arrogance.]
Musashi: (I really want to smack this man. 💢)
Lumine: (He deserved to be kicked out! 💢)
Paimon: (What arrogance! 💢)

[Kokomi also feels annoyed. But she knows how to shut this merchant up.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Sir, I'm afraid you're getting ahead of yourself. You may be innocent of the accusations originally leveled at you, but hoarding essential goods is a crime under the Temporary Decree. You must bear the consequences. You have already admitted to being the owner of these goods, so we are obliged to respond with appropriate measures. In addition to enforcing the sale of these goods at the accepted rates, there will also be a fine, the amount of which-"

[All of a sudden, that merchant sweatdropped in fear. Kokomi really hit the soft spot.]
Naruse: "Wait, wait, wait! Your Excellency... Whose side are you on here?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I have no business taking sides. As the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, I abide by the principle of clear and consistent rewards and punishments. Just as merit must be recognized, mistakes must be penalized. You may have been proven innocent of the more serious allegations leveled at you, but this does not exempt you from bearing the consequences of your mistakes."

[That merchant tries to make reason with Kokomi and the others. But he was apprehended by those guards.]
Naruse: "Wait a minute! I... But..."
Matsuda: "Well, don't just stand there - take him away! Time to pay up!"

[One of those guards starts dragging that merchant away. And...]
Uchimura: "Your Excellency, he says all the goods belong to him, but it doesn't add up. Those with a Tenryou Commission emblem are probably his, but not the rest. Especially these ones - they're clearly for shrine use."

[Kokomi only nods in agreement. The trio keep silent as they let Kokomi do the talk.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Mm... It seems the Fatui simply dumped all their stolen goods in one place. Leave the shrine paraphernalia to me. As for the rest, I'll leave you to sift through and try to track down the owners. I know that's a lot to ask."
Uchimura: "Not at all, Your Excellency, we're on it. But if I may, Your Excellency... Maybe there were no signs of collusion in this case, but our people know what they saw. Something is going on between the Tenryou Commission and the Fatui. I know the peace talks are coming up, so... please keep an open mind."

[Kokomi just nods her head in understanding.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I understand your concern. I'll be sure to give it further consideration."
Uchimura: "Then, please excuse me."

[That guard fall back to his duty. Kokomi sighed in relief as this matter is all over. She looks back at the trio, and...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: Lumine, Musashi-chan, I'm going to take these items back to the Sangonomiya Shrine. Why don't you come along for the walk?"
Musashi: "Sure."
Lumine: "We'll come along."

[The trio decides to follow Kokomi. They all are on their way back towards Sangonomiya Shrine.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Watatsumi Island observes different customs than the rest of Inazuma. I imagine it must all seem a little alien to you? It's been a long time since I last came to this village. There's been a lot to deal with recently... Next time you visit, I'll take you to visit Watatsumi Island's old shrine."
Musashi: "Hehe~ We'll be waiting for that, Kokomi-chan."

[They keep walking side by side with Kokomi in the middle between Lumine and Musashi. But quietly, Kokomi's left little finger touches with Musashi's right little finger.]
Musashi: ".....😊"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: ".....😉"

[Kokomi silently winks at Musashi. And, she continues the conversation about the previous Sangonomiya Shrine.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "You know, the earliest shrine on Watatsumi Island was not located in Sangonomiya. It was close to the Statue of The Seven. Back then, the people of this island recognized the Shogun's existence, despite not venerating her as the Shogunate do. But after she struck down our protector deity, the shrine was abandoned. Relations between Watatsumi Island and the Shogunate have soured ever since. Mistrust has become deep-rooted over time. I've been hoping to raise all this at the peace talks and discuss it properly. Grievances have to be let go eventually..."

[They all keep talking together until they reaches Sangonomiya Shrine. But then, they were approached by one of Sangonomiya's Priestess.]

Izumi Naki: "Your Excellency, here you are."

[That priestess seems in panic.]
Izumi Naki: "T-There's been a situation. We're still waiting on the delivery of a whole batch of ceremonial items. I'm beginning to worry that they've been stolen..."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Oh, we retrieved those already - no need to worry."

[Turns out, that priestess is in panic because of some ceremonial items were stolen. But when Kokomi and the trio shows that things to her, she sighed in relief. And...]
Izumi Naki: "Really? That's fantastic! You never cease to amaze us, Your Excellency!"
Musashi: "Well... Here ya go."

[Musashi gives those items to that priestess, and...]
Izumi Naki: "Oh yeah, I sorted through all the petitions received recently and placed them on your desk. Also, according to the schedule, you're just in time for your meeting today on the development of the textiles industry...!"

[The trio starts to feel bad for Kokomi. She really has a ton of works that should be done today.]
Musashi: (Holy moley...)
Lumine: (That much...!?)
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That's today? ...Right now?"
Izumi Naki: "Yes. The two young ladies have arrived safely, we're just waiting for you."

[Kokomi just sighed in defeat. She really wants to accompany the trio for today. But... Work is waiting for her.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Lumine, Musashi-chan, I was hoping to take a walk around the island with you, but it looks like we'll have to save that for some other time. Let's rendezvous tomorrow at the entrance to Sangonomiya Shrine. Then we'll go and make preparations for the Victory Feast."

[And as expected, Paimon floats high when it comes about food. Lumine, Musashi and Kokomi just chuckles.]
Paimon: "Yay, the Victory Feast! Just to be clear, we're talking lots of delicious food, right?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Haha~ That's the name of the game. There'll be some Watatsumi Island specialties which I'm sure you'll enjoy!"

[And for now, they decides to part ways for now and will be meet again tomorrow at Sangonomiya Shrine.]
Paimon: "Great! See you tomorrow then!"
Musashi: "See ya later!"
Lumine: "We'll be back here tomorrow!"

(Timeskip to Tomorrow...)
[And as promised, the trio walks back toward Sangonomiya Shrine. Turns out, Kokomi is not there. They decides to wait for her... But three hours later...]
Musashi: "Strange..."
Paimon: "How is she still not here? Do you think she could be in trouble?"
Lumine: "Should we look for her and-"
????: "Excuse me! Are you looking for Her Excellency?"

[As the trio decides to find out Kokomi's whereabouts, a guard named Shibata approaches them.]
Shibata: "I'm afraid she isn't here at the moment. I don't know where she's gone."
Paimon: "So strange... Guess we should just call it a rain check then?"
Shibata: "Not necessarily. If I recall correctly, Her Excellency has made special provisions for just such a scenario in her General Operational Directives."

[Then, Shibata takes out his small notebook and take a look at it.]
Shibata: "Let me see... Ah yes, No. 98. "Should a visitor from afar come to see me, and should my whereabouts be unknown, direct them to proceed southward until they arrive at a tree with purple foliage."

[Shibata put back his notebook back into his pocket.]
Shibata: "The footnote stipulates that this only applies when Her Excellency has made no communication regarding her whereabouts before disappearing, and even then only when the visitor in question is of VIP status. As far as I'm concerned, you two tick all of the boxes. I keep this directive on me at all times - I'm sure this is the right course of action."
Paimon: "Kokomi really does think of everything! Alright, let's find the place she wrote about and have a look."

[Both Lumine and Musashi nods their head and agree with Paimon's idea. They decide to use that description note to find Kokomi. But... They have walking far from Sangonomiya Shrine.]
Lumine: "Is this the right place?"
Musashi: "But no sign of Kokomi."

Paimon: "Hey, doesn't that tree look like the one she described in the directive? It looks like there's a way in over there... Let's take a look!"
Musashi: "Kokomi-chan should be inside."

[They all walks into that small cave. And inside, they saw a sort of private room, and also...]
Musashi: "Kokomi-chan!"
Paimon: "So this is where you ran off to! We were gonna meet up and get things ready for the Victory Feast today, what happened?"

[Turns out, Kokomi is resting in her private room where no one could find her. The trio notice... Kokomi seems tired more than usual.]

Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Oh... It's you three... I-I apologize... I'm not feeling my usual self today."
Musashi: "Are you sick?"
Lumine: "Should we call a doctor?"

[Kokomi slowly shakes her head. She doesn't need a doctor to examines her, but...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "No no, it's nothing like that... It's just, my energy is completely spent."
Paimon: "Y-You run on energy!? You mean... you're like a Ruin Guard!?"

💢*WHAM!*💢
Paimon: "ITTE!!!"
Musashi: "Enough with lame jokes, ya fool!"

[Annoyed by Paimon's lame joke, Musashi just smacks Paimon's head and it leaves a big lump on her head.]

Paimon: "Huee~ You are so mean, Slime's Lover! Paimon is just make a joke!"
Musashi: "And that's so lame!"

[Both Lumine and Kokomi chuckles nervously. But then, Kokomi just sighed deeply.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I'm ashamed to admit it, but I can't always be the infinitely capable person I present myself as."
Lumine: "Well... Everyone was asking so much of you yesterday..."
Musashi: "As the matter of fact, I could sense things were getting to you."

[Kokomi chuckled in defeat. She knows she cannot hide her true feelings to Musashi or Lumine.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I guess I haven't quite mastered the ability to hide how I'm feeling. I'll keep working at it... To be honest, I'm not really cut out to be a leader. At first, my dream was to read up on military strategy and perhaps become an adviser."

[Kokomi just resting her head as she keeps looking at the scroll on the table. She sighed again.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Constantly communicating with people, trying to retain their morale, having to read between the lines, making sure everyone gets the recognition they deserve... It's such hard work. You're somehow supposed to make people feel wonderful just from being in your presence, while also commanding their respect... It doesn't come naturally to me. Truth be told, it's something I never wanted for myself. But because of my bloodline, I was always going to end up being the Divine Priestess sooner or later. Like it or not, it's just the way it is. So whenever I feel overwhelmed, I come here to just lose myself in a book and relax for a while..."

[The trio found out from Kokomi... That cave is the place where Kokomi could take a time for herself.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Don't worry, it doesn't affect my work. I handed over preparations for the Victory Feast to someone else. I have to make a speech tonight, and I mustn't give the troops any reason to suspect that something could be wrong. This peace was hard-won, and I want them to feel at ease."
Paimon: "Is there anything we can do to help?"

[Kokomi shakes her head again. She appreciates their offer for help, but, she doesn't want to bother the trio because of a petty matters.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I should be feeling energized again soon if I hold off on work for a little longer."
Musashi: "You sure about that?"

[Kokomi sighed deeply as she starts searching for something in her table.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "If only there were some way I could listen to a good read on military strategy, I'm sure that'd speed up the process... I was reading a book last time I was here, but I only got about halfway through. Where did I put it..."

[And swiftly, the trio takes an initiative to help.]
Lumine: "In that case... We'll find it for you!"
Musashi: "And then we'll read it out to you - to help you recover!"

[Kokomi just smiles weakly. She wants to say no... But, she knew there is no point of refusing their help now.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "You'd do that for me? Thank you. Hehe... I'm really lucky you came back to Watatsumi Island."

[The trio starts looking for the book that Kokomi need to read. They starts with scroll segment at left side first.]
Paimon: "Whoa... Look at all these petitions. So does Kokomi make time to deal with these even when she's resting? Let's see..."
- Sangonomiya Events Cash Flow Statement
- Consolidated Annual Report on Fishing Production
- Watatsumi Island Monthly Maintenance Expenses Breakdown

[Turns out, there's a lot of problems that Kokomi need to dealt with. The trio starts to feel bad for her.]
Musashi: "There's a lot more..."
Paimon: "This is a lot of work for one person. And it's on top of all the directives she has to write and the people she has to meet day-to-day. It's no wonder she gets burnt out from time to time. Let's track down that book and help her feel like herself again!"

[They continues their search on book segment on the ground.]
Paimon: "Hey, look, Lumine, Slime's Lover! Could this be the book she wanted?"

[They took that notes, and read...]
Secret Notes:
Today, I spent the entire afternoon arguing with representatives from the merchant association. Energy −4.
Many things must still be settled. I need to ensure that they allow the goods to flow smoothly, but I must make sure that their money is made through legal means...

Today, I finished a day's worth of work. Energy −3.
I'll have to write up another batch of directives tonight. Hopefully, this won't go on too late. I still need to perform an inspection tomorrow.

The wind is very strong outside. Energy −2.
It seems like it will rain soon. I can only hope that the waves aren't as rough, and those who go out fishing can return safely.

News of the peace talks reached us today. Energy +2.
An end to this war will surely make everyone on Watatsumi Island happy, won't it?

Today, we received word that the Tenryou Commission might be colluding with the Fatui. Energy −5.
Even I'm struggling to understand what's going on...

Swordfish II's captain came back today. Energy +4.
We tacitly agreed not to speak of Teppei, and no one spoke of those who sacrificed their lives during the war... This peace was far too hard-fought.

Lots of people spoke to me today again. Energy −3.
Looking at their earnest faces, I can't help but think back to the time that I took up the post of Divine Priestess. Have I really lived up to their expectations all these years?

[The trio just sweatdropped. They realized... It's Kokomi's personal diary. And... on the bottom page...]
Paimon: "Meeting Swordfish II Lieutenant... Energy-"
Musashi: "Eh?"

[Kokomi suddenly widened her eyes when the trio accidentally read her personal diary.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Ah, that's... that's just, um..."
Lumine: "We saw nothing!"
Musashi: "And if we did, it was all Paimon's fault!"
Paimon: "Hey! 😡"

[But then, the trio found a book that seems different from other book.]
Paimon: "It's gotta be this one, right?Look, there's even a bookmark. None of the other books have one, so she must have finished reading those already. Whew, it's pretty dense. Paimon doesn't understand a thing... Well, let's take it over and read it to her!"

[The trio returned to Kokomi with a book in their hand.]
Paimon: "Kokomi, is this the book you wanted?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hmm, I'm not sure, actually... Could you read a bit out loud?"

[Musashi just chuckles as she starts reading that book.]
Musashi: "Okay... "Act to the plan, and plan to the situation"... "Attack where the enemy is weak, emerge where the enemy is blind"..."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Y-Yes, that's the one! Thank you."

[Musashi read Kokomi her favorite military treatise. Lumine and Paimon just enjoying this scenery, until Kokomi fall asleep.]
Paimon: "Kokomi? Kokomi... Oh no, she's fallen asleep. What're we gonna do, Lumine!? Slime's Lover!?"

[Paimon seems in panic all of a sudden.]
Musashi: "Whoa, whoa! Easy, little one!"
Lumine: "She just sleeping. No need for you to-"
Paimon: "Tonight's the Victory Feast! Not to mention that the peace talks are just around the corner. She's got so much to do...!"

[Both Lumine and Musashi sweatdropped on the spot. They just sighed softly.]
Lumine: "Oh, Paimon~ 🤭
Musashi: "Let's let her rest a while, will ya? 😁"
Paimon: "You sure that's a good idea? Hmm, she does look pretty exhausted. Guess there's still some time to go, too. Alright, let's keep her company while she rests."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Avoid disaster... Protect peace at all costs... The war's over... Things are slowly getting better... Did you see...?"

[The trio decides to take a break together with Kokomi for a while more. Until...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Uhhhh... Huh? What time is it? Did I fall asleep?"

[Kokomi slowly opens her eyes and yawn softly. She starts feel refreshed again.]
Musashi: "Wakey, wakey..."
Paimon: "Yup, you've been out for ages! It's nearly time for the feast!
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I can't believe it got so late! I haven't slept that peacefully in so long. That's gotta be three whole energy points right there. Should be enough to see me through the peace talks."

[The trio smiles softly at Kokomi. At the same time, Kokomi feels grateful because the trio keeps her company until now.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Thank you, you three. Well, we better get ourselves over there, it's nearly time to light the bonfire."
Paimon: "Woohoo, Kokomi's back to full energy! Good to have you back!"

[And so... the trio accompanies Kokomi to the Victory Feast Location. And when they got there... that site was full by Sangonomiya's soldiers and civilians.]

Sangonomiya Kokomi: "It looks like everything's in place for the feast. But I still need to give a quick speech before the festivities begin."
Paimon: "Oh... How much energy will that take? D'you think you've got enough?"

[Kokomi chuckles and nods.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: Don't worry, I've got plenty. Thanks to you three, I recovered more quickly than usual."
Paimon: "That's great! We'll be rooting for you!"

[And then... Kokomi walks by the banquet fire and starts to give a speech.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Welcome everyone. Today is the day that we celebrate our victory. Recently, our war with the Shogun's Army came to an end, and we finally saw the abolition of the Vision Hunt Decree. None of us can know what the Inazuma of the future will look like. But tomorrow, I meet with the Tenryou Commission for peace talks. I give you my word that I will strive for peace for Watatsumi Island, once and for all. Thank you all for your valiant efforts throughout. Truly, it is only through those efforts that we have been able to prevail in this trying war. This feast is held in honor of each and every one of you gathered here today. I hope all of you get to relax and enjoy our hard-won victory."

[The people cheers for Kokomi after she gave a fiery speech. In fact, the trio claps their hand to give her an applause. The people starts eating and drinking happily. Kokomi was accompanied by the trio.]
Musashi: "Nice speech, Kokomi-chan."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Tonight seems to have gone off without a hitch. I'm so glad it's all going smoothly. People tend to be more open when they're in a good mood. Could I ask you to go around and see what information you can gather, Lumine, Musashi-chan?"

[All of a sudden, the trio has just got a secret mission from Kokomi... To gain some info from her own soldiers.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I still have no further leads regarding the issue of potential collusion between the Tenryou Commission and the Fatui. And I'm concerned that something might happen at tomorrow's peace talks..."
Paimon: "Okay, sure. We'll go ask around."

[And so, the trio decides to walk around the feast site to gather some information. They are walking around the drunk soldiers. Until... A merchant talks to himself.]

Hirai: "Watatsumi Island is finally at peace, and it's all thanks to Her Excellency, Sangonomiya..."
Musashi: "Yo! What's new? Anything to report?"

[The merchant named Hirai looks at trio and starts thinking about what happened recently.]
Hirai: "Recently? Well, the biggest thing for us is that we can finally get back out on the ocean to fish. During the hostilities, the open sea was full of warships. We just had to make do with what little fish and shrimp we could get our hands on closer to shore. When the catch wasn't good, we'd all go hungry. The poor kids were crying all day and night, but there was just nothing I could do. We'd go to bed ravenous and be tossing and turning all night long, trying to keep it together until the morning. At least things are finally improving now..."

[But then, Hirai recognize Lumine and Musashi. He seems grateful as he gives a fillet of fish to them.]
Hirai: "I hear you're Captain and Lieutenant of Swordfish II, is that right? Well, thank you for your service. Here, have a fish! It's freshly caught, so it's a bit, uh, fishy, but it's fine."
Paimon: "Oh... no, no, no, w-we couldn't possibly..."
Hirai: "Ah, come on, take it! Without you, we'd probably still be going to bed hungry tonight. Her Excellency always teaches us to repay kindness with gratitude."

[The trio just happily accepts the gift from Hirai. They continues their search and meet a female merchant named Kabasawa.]

Kabasawa: "Hey there, care for some fresh fruit and vegetables? Nature's remedy when you overdo the barbecue!"
Lumine: "Say... Anything to report?"

[Kabasawa quickly understand what Lumine meant with her question.]
Kabasawa: "Are you referring to the thing about the Tenryou Commission and the Fatui? I've heard rumors, but nothing too detailed."

[Kabasawa chuckles and tries to explain it as simples as she can do.]
Kabasawa: "It's funny you should say that the soldiers seem excitable, though. I've had the same feeling. See that guy over there?"
Musashi: "Huh?"
Lumine: "The one that stand near the sea?"

[Kabasawa points her finger a soldier that drinking a lot of booze near the sea.]
Kabasawa: "Well... He's been acting strange these days - always shouting and waving his spear around when he's got nothing to do. He's scared the heck out of me a few times. Ugh... It's a miracle the fighting has finally come to an end. I really hope we don't go making any more trouble for ourselves."

[Kabasawa just sighed softly. She hopes she can help the trio with this.]
Kabasawa: "Sorry, I'm afraid I don't have much information. If you still have questions, you may as well go and talk to him."
Musashi: "Ah! It's alright!"
Lumine: "You already help us with your information!"
Paimon: "Sounds promising. Let's go see what that guy's deal is!"

[Thanks to the information from Hirai and Kabasawa, the trio decides to confront the suspicious soldier among Sangonomiya soldiers. But, as they approaches him... they can smell a reek of booze from his body.]
Lumine: "Urgh... I hate this smell."
Musashi: "Damn... I can smell it from here..."
Paimon: "Whew... this guy smells of booze..."

Kouzen: "Mm? Wait, wait, don't tell me... Captain and Lieutenant of Swordfish II! Right?"

[Both of Lumine and Musashi just nod. But, they know... He seems unfriendly.]
Kouzen: "You actually came back. I thought you'd abandoned the platoon and made a run for it."
Paimon: "Nuh-uh! We would never run from a fight!"
Kouzen: "Hmph, is that so. All anyone talks about these days is peace and stability. Do you remember what the most important thing is to the resistance?"
Lumine: "...A warrior's will."

[Kouzen chuckles. But then, he points his spear at Lumine.]
Kouzen: "You got that right. So I'm gonna put you to the test. Time to see if you truly are a bona fide resistance warrior. I'll answer your questions - but only if you can beat me in a duel."
Paimon: "Ugh, this guy... Would it kill him to just have a normal conversation... What do you think, are we gonna do this, Lumine, Slime's Lover?"

[But, before Lumine could act, Musashi already stand in her stead.]
Musashi: "I'll deal with him. In fact, i don't need 10% of my power to beat him."
Kouzen: "Hmph... We'll see about that!"

*WUSH!*
[Kouzen thrust his spear, but Musashi slightly sway back slowly.]
Musashi: "...."
Kouzen: "Heh!!"

*WUSH!* *WUSH!* *WUSH!*
[Kouzen swiftly tries to thrust Musashi three times. But each time he did that, Musashi just evades it with ease.]
Kouzen: "STAND STILL, YOU COWARD!!!"

*WUSH!*
[Kouzen tries to slash Musashi with his spear horizontally...]
Musashi: ".....Fool."

*WUSH!* *SLASH!*
[Musashi swings her katana and... Kouzen's spear has been cut in half. Kouzen falls to the ground as Musashi points her katana at Kouzen's neck.]
Musashi: "If i were serious... You could lose your head."
Kouzen: "...S...So strong..."

[Musashi puts her katana back into it's scabbard. Kouzen slowly stand back on his feet.]
Kouzen: "You're a strong fighter... No wonder Her Excellency chose both of you... You really do have a warrior's will... Then, maybe you can understand us."

[Kouzen seems has a request for the trio.]
Kouzen: "Captain, comrade... will you join us?"
Musashi: "....."
Lumine: "...First you need to tell me what's going on."

[Kouzen just sighed. He had no choice but to tell them the whole truth.]
Kouzen: "We made it up. The story about the Tenryou Commission colluding with the Fatui... It didn't happen."

[And that revelation... shocked the trio, mostly Paimon.]
Paimon: "WHAT!? Poor Kokomi's been worried sick! You're telling us you made the whole thing up? What the heck were you thinking? This could send you right back into war with the Tenryou Commission!"

[But Kouzen just chuckles evilly.]
Kouzen: "Yes. That's exactly what we're hoping to achieve. Peace talks? Pfft... Everyone's been drawn in by the idea. That's why the future of Watatsumi Island is at stake. What's to stop the Tenryou Commission from stabbing us in the back? And what's to stop the Raiden Shogun from issuing another Vision Hunt Decree? We are the resistance! Everything hinges on our warrior's will! We can't trust the Tenryou Commission or the Raiden Shogun. But we can put faith in ourselves!Surely you agree with that?"

[The trio seems understand Kouzen's feeling. But for Musashi... he got it all wrong.]
Paimon: "His point does kinda make sense, but something about it doesn't feel right to Paimon..."

[Lumine sighed and tries to make reason with Kouzen.]
Lumine: "Look... What it boils down to is... you just want to fight."
Paimon: "Yeah! Everything you said just now was pure speculation, wasn't it? Are you seriously willing to make up a wild rumor and ruin the peace everyone's worked so hard for, all because of some imaginary situation that may not even happen?"

[But the hot-head Kouzen didn't back down that easily.]
Kouzen: "Don't take that tone with me, acting like you're above all of this! What would you understand!? For the sake of victory, we embodied the warrior's will to the fullest. You understand? We were all in. Now they're suddenly trying to tell us that none of it matters anymore... You'd have me just put down my weapon and start living like an ordinary person, but how can I? How can I, when... when every time I close my eyes, I see the faces of the friends we lost in battle."

[Kouzen looks angrily at Lumine and Musashi.]
Kouzen: "Every time I see them there, in my mind's eye, it reminds me that I can never forgive the Tenryou Commission, and never forgive the Vision Hunt Decree! I guess you're not one of us... Well, whatever. Go ahead and tell Sangonomiya if you want. But you're too late to stop-"

*BUAGH!!!*

Kouzen: "OHOK!!!"

[One hard punches on the gut from Musashi... Kouzen falls to his knees as he holds his stomach.]
Kouzen: "Y-You... little..."
Musashi: "You are the stupidest short-brained human being I have ever seen."

[Kouzen wants to fight back... But, when his eyes meet Musashi's Mystic Eyes... his guts got shrinked.]
Musashi: "You think you are the only one who feels lose comrades in battle? I also feel the same... Losing Teppei... is one of them."

[Musashi sighed deeply. Lumine and Paimon start to feel sad when they remember Teppei.]
Musashi: "But all we can do now... Is to let go of the past and move on."
Kouzen: "Urgh... You... You don't-"

[Musashi's anger seems reaches it's peak.]
Musashi: "YEAH! I F*CKIN' UNDESTAND! BUT WHAT YOU AND YOUR COMRADES DO RIGHT NOW IS NOTHING BUT TO PROLONG THE HATRED AND SUFFERING BETWEEN TWO ARMIES!!!"

[And again, Lumine shocked when Musashi yells like that.]
Musashi: "AND YOU ARE THE ONE THAT INITIATE THIS!! TO PREVENT THE PEACE JUST FOR WAR!!!???"

[Musashi takes a deep breath and start to get calm.]
Musashi: "...For me... You're not worthy to be called a soldier... In fact, you are lower than a scum like those Fatui."

[And Musashi's harsh words hit Kouzen hard. Musashi swiftly grabs Lumine's hand.]
Musashi: "Let's just leave him, Lumine, Paimon. There's no point to pay attention to a fool like him."
Lumine: "....Yes."

[The trio turned back and walk away, leaving the stunned Kouzen alone... He grits his teeth in frustration.]
Kouzen: "...Did... I... make a wrong... choice?"

[The trio swiftly reports this revelation to Kokomi, who is waiting outside the feast site.]
Musashi: "Kokomi-chan!"
Paimon: "...So we found out a few things. The whole thing about the Tenryou Commission colluding with the Fatui is baloney! They made it all up. They wanted the peace talks to break down so that they could carry on fighting the war. And they said that it's too late to try and stop them, no matter what we do."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Mm. I see."

[But, surprisingly... Kokomi's reaction is just ordinary, which confuse the trio.]
Musashi: "What's the matter, Kokomi-chan?"
Lumine: "Are you feeling alright?"

[Kokomi just sighed slightly. She shows her sad smile.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I'm fine, don't worry. This is my fault. If only I'd perceived what they were feeling earlier, it never would have come to this. I think I understand what Kouzen means when he says it's too late."

[Kokomi seems knows something and decide to share it with the trio.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "The talks don't begin until tomorrow, but both sides have already sent their guards to the location. They are responsible for making sure the area is safe and secure. I highly suspect that one of Kouzen's pro-war co-conspirators will have infiltrated the guards with an intent to reignite hostilities tomorrow during the negotiations."

[And that cause the fear among the trio. They just want this peace talks goes smoothly.]
Paimon: "Well that's no good. Do you want us to head over there now and switch out the guards?"
Musashi: "Or maybe... should we moves the peace talk to another day?"

[Kokomi slightly shakes her head.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That won't work. Firstly, the act of bringing a new team of guards to a neutral negotiation site will put both sides on high alert. It would almost certainly push the pro-war faction into taking action. They would attack the Tenryou Commission's guards, and we'd be in danger of war breaking out once again. Not to mention that we have no idea how many of Watatsumi Island's soldiers are involved in this plot. If we change the guard in haste, we face the issue of not knowing who to trust."

[Paimon seems worried more about this peace talk than Musashi and Lumine.]
Paimon: "Sounds like a really tricky situation... so, is there really nothing we can do about it?"

[But Kokomi... She already knows what to do.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Don't let it worry you, what's done is done. Mm... Now it falls to me to devise a counter plan. These soldiers crossed a line, but the blame is not theirs alone. Whatever happens, I will find a way to ensure they do not come to harm... Let's meet here again tomorrow."
Musashi: "O~kay?"
Lumine: "S-Sure."

[Leaving the confused trio, Kokomi rushes back to Sangonomiya Shrine, and the Victory Feast continues joyfully until all have had their fill.]

(Next day... In Morning.)
[The trio decides to meet Kokomi at the same place when they got seperated yesterday. Today is the day...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Well, the peace talks are upon us. How do you feel, you three? Prepared?"
Musashi: "Yeah."
Lumine: "I feel a little exposed, but i'm good."

[Kokomi just chuckles. Then, she gives Musashi a book.]
Musashi: "Huh? What's this?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "These are some directives I wrote last night. These negotiations are complex, to be sure, but I thought about it carefully and realized there are no more than 187 possible outcomes. I took the liberty of writing them all down. This way, you will be able to adapt with speed, no matter how the events play out."

[And again... the trio are totally impressed by Kokomi's foresight.]
Musashi: "187 outcomes..."
Paimon: "Let's see... "Fierce Dispute," "Violent Escalation," "Armed Revolt," "Coordinated Attack," "Seize Hostages"..."

[The trio widened their eyes all over again. All of this... Is already on Kokomi's prediction.]
Lumine: "Wow, there's so many!"
Paimon: "But you've thought of a solution to each one... Paimon suddenly feels a lot less nervous."

[Kokomi nods in satisfaction. Then, she decides to give the trio a small briefing before the peace talks.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Glad to hear it. These peace talks are quite exceptional. It is a major step forward both for Watatsumi Island and the Shogunate. But any amount of dissatisfaction within our ranks weakens our negotiating position. We will have to work all the harder if we want these talks to be a success. As the Divine Priestess of Watatsumi Island, this responsibility is of course mine to shoulder. But would you be willing to lend me a hand?"

[As always, the trio nods and smiles. They won't say no to a friend in need.]
Musashi: "Of course, Kokomi-chan!"
Lumine: "We also want the peace talks to succeed!"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Excellent. Okay, time to head off."

[And then, the trio agreed to accompany Kokomi to go to the peace talks at Tatarasuna... Their neutral ground where the soldiers of both sides are waiting...]

Musashi: (So... This is the place...)

[And there, they meet the representative of Shogunate Army... Kujou Sara of Kujou Clan.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "It's been a while, Kujou Sara. I believe the last time we met was on the battlefield."

Kujou Sara: "Yes... where you dealt my forces quite the devastating blow..."

[But then, Sara realizes the trio is here as well.]
Kujou Sara: "But, before we go any further — what are you two doing here?"
Lumine: "Well... I'm here to witness the peace talks."
Musashi: "Same here."

[Kokomi slightly smiles as she pats  their shoulder.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That's right. They are here to bear witness to the proceedings. They experienced the war between us firsthand, and has made an enormous contribution toward securing the peace we have today. I couldn't think of a more suitable candidate."
Kujou Sara: "Seems reasonable. Then let's get straight into it."

[Kokomi and Sara begin their tit-for-tat peace talks... The trio stands in between them.]
Kujou Sara: "The first item is the maritime administration issue. During wartime, we restricted fishing rights for Watatsumi vessels in Narukami waters... We intend to remove these restrictions. But going forward, any of your vessels that fish in our waters will have to pay taxes in accordance with Narukami legislation in order to bring their catch back to Watatsumi."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That's fine. But if they're paying taxes, they should also be entitled to protection from the Tenryou Commission while in your waters. Any losses they sustain due to issues of public security will need to be compensated by the Tenryou Commission."
Kujou Sara: "Accepted. Let's add that to the peace treaty. I can assure you that your vessels will be quite safe in our hands."

[The peace talk seems moving on smoothly. At the same time, Musashi glanced at soldiers of both sides... They seems... unrest.]
Musashi: "....."
Paimon: "Negotiations seem to be going pretty smoothly."
Lumine: "...Yeah."

[The peace talk continues slowly and steadily.]
Kujou Sara: The next item has to do with the movement of people and military authority. In the past, our people have been subjected to lengthy interrogations on arrival in Watatsumi, and the same has been true for your people on arrival to Narukami. Economic cooperation between our islands has suffered greatly as a consequence. Few merchants are now willing to engage in inter-island commerce. Since the war is now over, I propose that we have the Yashiro Commission appoint a business council to oversee trade between our two islands."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "The problem there is that trade is a reciprocal affair. We'll need to involve merchants from both sides in this process if it is to succeed — we cannot give the Yashiro Commission full authority."

[And it seems... the peace talks reaches the first stalemate.]
Kujou Sara: "Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't Watatsumi Island facing severe shortages of many essential goods at the moment? Having the Yashiro Commission organize everything centrally would work in your favor."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "True, we're experiencing some shortages, but we will recover in due course. Between the diverse range of goods we can produce ourselves and our strong trade links with other areas, we are capable of sourcing everything we need. Not to mention that your proposal would require separate talks with the Kamisato Clan. If they've yet to sanction it, I believe you are going beyond the remit of the Tenryou Commission's authority."

[All of a sudden, Musashi could feel a tense of animosity between two sides.]
Musashi: (...Not good...)
Kujou Sara: "Let's leave that aside for now, then. On to the military question: Watatsumi Island's forces will need to come back under the jurisdiction of the Tenryou Commission."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "That just isn't feasible. Not in the short term, at least."
Kujou Sara: "With all due respect, feasibility doesn't come into it. The Tenryou Commission alone has ultimate responsibility for Inazuma's national security. We cannot allow Watatsumi Island to be the sole exception to this rule indefinitely..."

[In anger, A Sangonomiya soldier interrupts the peace talks.]
Tadakatsu: "You Kujou scum! Colluding with the Fatui isn't low enough for you already? You just want to take everything away from us!"

[Swiftly, a soldier named Tadakatsu lead his friends to attack.]
Tadakatsu: "Comrades! Never trust the Kujou. Let's get them!"

[Tadakatsu and his troops starts moving forward.]
Tenryou Samurai: "Protect Madam Kujou!"

[At the same time, Tenryou Samurai moves in to protect Kujou Sara. Lumine steps in between the Sangonomiya and Tenryou soldiers to prevent a fight from breaking out, while Musashi keeps standing on the sidelines.]

Paimon: "No. 16... No, wait, 67... Or is it 73...

Paimon: "Argh! Which one is it!"

[During the standoff, Kokomi notices that two Tenryou soldiers are nervous. Kujou Sara follows Kokomi's gaze and takes notice of the nervous Tenryou samurai...]
Musashi: "ENOUGH!!!!"

*BWOSH!!!*
[With just one stomp that cause power surge among the area, Musashi manages to stop soldiers from both sides from taking action. Kokomi confidently sits back down and the talks resume.]
Lumine: (Thank Archon...)
Paimon: "Kokomi! Which scenario number is this in the directives?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "The last one... but hold off for the moment."

[Without looking back at her soldier, Kokomi decides to keep her soldier in ease.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Stand down, Tadakatsu. The situation has changed. Please stand by for further orders. Rest assured, I am fully aware of your concerns. But I will deal with the situation from here."

[Swiftly, Kokomi decides to use this situation into her advantage.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Madame Kujou, this is rather serious. I believe you owe Watatsumi Island an explanation?"
Kujou Sara: "...Excuse me for a moment. Nobody makes another move until I have finished investigating! You two. Here, now."

[Kokomi gives Lumine and Musashi a wink, which they both impressed. Kujou Sara steps away from the negotiation table with the suspicious Tenryou soldiers.]
Kujou Sara: "Speak. Collusion with the Fatui? Is this true?"
Motosuke: "Umm..."
Sue Yoshitaka: "I-I wouldn't exactly call it "collusion" as such..."

[Those guards decides to explain the truth to Kujou Sara.]
Motosuke: "We were approached by a few Fatui... They mentioned a potential cooperation to keep the war against Watatsumi Island going... At the time, I felt like we could give it a try, after all there'd be nothing to lose..."
Sue Yoshitaka: "But we were extremely careful! We didn't agree to anything. We just said they could maybe start by heading to Watatsumi Island and stirring things up a little... then we'd see how it went. With respect, Ma'am, there was no collusion! It was just a one-off conversation. How anyone from Watatsumi Island even found out about it I have no idea..."

[Kujou Sara grits her teeth in anger.]
Kujou Sara: "That's enough... When we return, there will be consequences. Might I remind you that this is the Fatui? Have you completely forgotten what they did to us? You should be having no interaction with them whatsoever, let alone entertaining offers of cooperation! So, what did they want out of it?"

[One of the guard gulped in fear. They were afraid of Kujou Sara's merciless punishment.]
Sue Yoshitaka: "The Fatui's main forces have already left Inazuma. The few who approached us seemed like they wanted to settle a score for their boss."
Kujou Sara: "Oh, HER subordinates, huh? ...So they're out for revenge. They want to keep Inazuma in a state of turmoil. One day, I will hunt them down. Every last one."

[Musashi slightly overheard their conversation. She knew well they are talking about La Signora's subordinates. After Kujou Sara done with those guards, she returns to the table to speak with Kokomi.]
Kujou Sara: "We bear responsibility for this issue. My sincere apologies. I have my own negligence to blame for this state of affairs. Please, grant us another chance to continue the peace talks."

[Kokomi just chuckles and nods.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hehehe... But of course, Madam Kujou. I have every confidence in your ability to resolve this situation. For the time being, however, there is evidently some discord within the Tenryou Commission's ranks. I would therefore not feel comfortable releasing Watatsumi Island's forces into your command at this time."

[Kujou Sara sighed and decides to give in.]
Kujou Sara: "It seems that I must acquiesce... I will lay this issue aside for now. But we shall revisit it as soon as the Tenryou Commission has resolved our internal issues. As for the trade issues we raised, I will discuss options with the Yashiro Commission and make sure both sides have ample participation in the final arrangement..."

[The situation has been under control. And at the bright side... Kokomi has gain control of this negotiation.]
Paimon: "Seems like Kujou Sara's on the defensive now. These negotiations should be smooth sailing from here on out."
Musashi: "Yep... This will be over soon."
Lumine: "Let's just sit back and watch."

[Kokomi and Sara calmly complete the follow-up negotiations... And two hours later...]
Kujou Sara: "I never knew the grand strategist of Watatsumi Island was a skilled negotiator as well as a formidable commander. I hope that when we meet again, we can continue these sit down discussions... Settling our differences on the battlefield is rather taxing."

[Both of Kujou Sara and Kokomi stands up from their seat.]
Kujou Sara: "I think we can leave things there for today. Once I get back, I will conduct a thorough investigation into the Tenryou Commission's internal issues."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I should inform you that we took out a Fatui camp recently. I suspect that before long, they will attempt to reestablish contact with your people in the hope of procuring some assistance. I recommend you say and do nothing on the matter for the time being, lest you tip them off and they disappear. Wait for them to come to you. That way, you can capture them all in one fell swoop."

[Kujou Sara nods as she decides to follow Kokomi's advice.]
Kujou Sara: "I will bear this in mind. Thank you. I shall take my leave now. Until we meet again."

[Kujou Sara bows politely and leave with her guards. Kokomi turned back to see her nervous soldiers after what they did.]
Tadakatsu: "Your Excellency, we—"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Let's discuss it after we get back."

[They all decides to leave Tatarasuna and go back to Watatsumi. Kokomi gathers her troops in the main camp.]
Tadakatsu: "Your Excellency, y—you knew...?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I have already been informed on the reasons for your actions. You believe the Tenryou Commission to be untrustworthy, and sought to sabotage the peace talks and re-ignite the war. Fortunately, the end result exposed and thwarted a secret Tenryou Commission plot. Yet this was purely incidental, and the ends certainly did not justify your means."

[Despite Kokomi's explanation... The guards still refuse to believe this is the end.]
Tadakatsu: "But Your Excellency, so many comrades have sacrificed themselves in the line of duty. If we stop now, aren't all of our efforts going to waste? I want to keep fighting! I want ultimate victory, even if it means I have to pay the ultimate price!"

[Musashi quietly sighed. Lumine realized it and just smiles as she holds her hand. Kokomi just let out a small chuckles.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I understand your sentiments... but you cannot simply impose your will and expect others to bear the consequences. During the war, there were highs and there were lows, and in the end there was a glorious victory. For you, perhaps the experience was one of great excitement. But you saw nothing of the countless others who will remember the war quite differently. Most people suffered terribly through each day."

[Kokomi softly points her finger to the people of Watatsumi Island.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Watatsumi Island's people yearn for peace because they have long since given all they had to the war effort. They are tired of treading water, and don't need you dragging them back underneath once again."
Tadakatsu: "Wait a minute! I... But..."

[Kokomi just keep talking, not letting Tadakatsu to cuts in her words.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I understand, I do. And the fault is not yours alone. It was largely an oversight on my part: I taught you to nurture a warrior's will, but never how to let it go."

[Tadakatsu and his troops sighed in sadness. They all seems in remorse and ready to take the consequences of their action.]
Tadakatsu: "It's not your fault, Your Excellency! It was ours... our selfishness. Either way, we are ready to accept sentencing under martial law."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Very well. Then I hereby declare..."

[Kokomi gives a long pause... And...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "...That as of today, I am founding a new Secret Corps of the army. This division will be responsible for keeping Watatsumi Island safe and secure, neutralizing any and all threats to the peace of our island. You and your comrades will all be welcome to join — but be warned, the training will be grueling. Perseverance and grit will be in high demand."

[The trio are happy with Kokomi's decision. At the same time, Tadakatsu and his troops were shocked by it.]
Tadakatsu: "Your Excellency... wh—what are you saying?"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I have concluded from today's peace talks that the Kujou Clan cannot achieve absolute peace and stability in the near future. Many seek peace, but there are still those who pursue war. It is right that Watatsumi Island moves towards peace, but we must still retain a defensive capacity. Those whose warrior's will is alive and well, I invite you to embark on the most challenging training regimen of your lives."

[Kokomi has shows her loves and benevolences to her troops. All of it... has impressed the trio.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I don't want to hear from any of you again until all of you can take on two Shogunate Samurai at a time!"
Tadakatsu: "...Thank you, Your Excellency!"
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Alright, dismissed. Go and report to General Gorou. And remember... there can be no more insubordination. And if there is... there will be no more leniency from me. Whatever reasons you may have."
Tadakatsu: "...Yes, Ma'am. From now on, we will focus on our training. Thank you for this opportunity, Your Excellency. We'll report to General Gorou right away!"

[The soldiers leave to reports their new assignment to Gorou. The trio chuckles softly as Kokomi sighed in relief.]
Musashi: "You did a good job, Kokomi-chan."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I think that's finally everything in hand. I can feel my energy levels starting to drop... Meet you back at the hideout for some rest?"
Lumine: "Hehe~ sure."

[The trio agrees to accompany  Kokomi back to her secret base. And there...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Thank you for everything. With your help, peace has been restored on Watatsumi Island once more."
Musashi: "So... How're your energy levels?"

[Kokomi just chuckled. She totally forgot Musashi had read her personal diary, but didn't mind.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Recovering, slowly but surely... I should be raring to go before too long. Today was a reminder that I don't cope well in situations with lots of people. I've improved, but I still get nervous when more than a handful of people are involved. I think I might get Gorou to handle the negotiations next time..."

[Lumine just smiles softly. She totally awed by Kokomi's performance for today.]
Lumine: "I think you did an admirable job."
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "...Do you think so? To be honest, I'm still a long way off what's expected of a Divine Priestess."

[But, Kokomi sighed softly as she looks at the blue sky.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "In the past, I was concerned only with winning the war, restoring peace, and making sure everyone could live a happy life. But I realize now that wasn't going far enough. People have all kinds of aspirations, and just as many measures of happiness. I have a long way to go. But that's okay. If I can't make the journey in one giant leap, I'll just have to settle for taking it one small step at a time..."

[As their conversation end, Kokomi allows Lumine and Paimon to use  her hideout to study more aboit strategy. While they went inside, both Musashi and Kokomi still standing outside.]
Kokomi: "....."
Musashi: "....."

[There's a small silence between them. Kokomi sighed as she starts talking.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Kouzen has confessed to me yesterday."
Musashi: "...Hasn't he?"

[Kokomi just nods slightly.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "He confesses about his plan to break down the peace talk. He just want the war between us and Shogunate to continue."
Musashi: "...I see."

[But then, Kokomi smiles at Musashi. She even holds her hand tight.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I had no choice... but to put him under house arrest for two weeks."
Musashi: "Two weeks? Isn't that bit too harsh?"

[Kokomi slightly shakes her head.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I had no choice. But... he seems satisfied with that punishment. It was betterr than dead penalty or exile."
Musashi: "I guess you're right."

[Kokomi softly smiles at Musashi.]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "I know it was your doing, Musashi. I totally thank you for that."
Musashi: "Haha~ I didn't do anything."

[Kokomi just slightly smugs at Musashi, and...]
Sangonomiya Kokomi: "Hee~ Trying to act humble, huh? Hehe~ In that case..."
Musashi: "W-Wait! What are you-"

❤️*CHU~~*❤️
[Kokomi softly kissed Musashi on the lips. She even tipped her legs so that her lips could touch Musashi's lips. Without realizing it, there were four eyes watching the incident.]
Paimon: (WHAT!? KOKOMI IS SO BOLD!!!)
Lumine: (Well... I guess i shouldn't expect that anymore.)

(Three days later...)
[After three days passed since the peace talks... The trio has returned to Narukami Island.]
Paimon: "Huh... Where did Slime's Lovers go? It's almost an hour."
Lumine: "Don't worry, Paimon. She will be here soon."

[Paimon sighed in annoyance.]
Paimon: "Urgh... Slime's Lover promised us for a lunch! And yet... She's not here!"

[Lumine chuckles softly. She looks around to find out if Musashi is around. But, instead of Musashi... she meets...]
Lumine: "Ayaka!"

Kamisato Ayaka: "Oh, Lumine-san and Paimon. How are you two?"

[Ayaka walks to approach them. Lumine and Paimon wave their hand and greet Ayaka with smile.]
Lumine: "We're fine, Ayaka. It's been a while."
Paimon: "Yeah! In fact, Paimon starts to miss you, Ayaka!"

[Ayaka chuckles softly. At the same time, she realized something is missing.]
Kamisato Ayaka: "By the way... Musashi is not with you two?"
Lumine: "W-Well..."

[Paimon pouts cutely.]
Paimon: "Hmph! That Slime's Lover... Paimon bet she's still slacking off nearby!"

[Both Lumine and Ayaka laughed softly after hearing Paimon's answer. But... all of a sudden, Ayaka's expression turned serious and looks at Lumine.]
Kamisato Ayaka: "Lumine-san.."
Lumine: "Y-Yes?"
Kamisato Ayaka: "I... I have a request..."

[Ayaka takes a deep breath first, and....]
Kamisato Ayaka: "...I... I want to fight you... One on one!"

[And that request shocked both Lumine and Paimon.]
Paimon: "W-WHAT!?"
Lumine: "W-Why so sudden!? I-I mean... What did i do wrong!?"

[Ayaka continues to talk... about her challenge against Lumine.]
Kamisato Ayaka: "I wish to challenge you. Just you against me. And if i win..."

[Ayaka takes another deep breath, and...]
Kamisato Ayaka: "If i win... Musashi will stay at Inazuma and become my full-time bodyguard forever."

[Turns out... It's all about Musashi. Ayaka challenges Lumine for a fight so she could take Musashi and let her stay in Inazuma forever.]
Lumine: "A-Ayaka! That's-"
Kamisato Ayaka: "I have no choice... If i want Musashi to stay... I have to beat you in fair fight and-"

[At the same time...]
Musashi: "W-What...?"

[Ayaka slightly widened her eyes. She turned back and saw the shocked Musashi.]

Musashi: "W-What... did you... just say, Ayaka?"

[And that moment... will change the course of relationship between Musashi and Lumine... And even Ayaka.]
