I'm used to people lying to me. For years and years people lied to me, and after awhile, I began to expect it. I used to be surprised if someone was lying to me. Then, every time someone lied to me, it became less of a surprise and more of an expectation. Then I met you.
For months and months I thought you would just lie to me too. You didn't. Most times you would tell me something as simple as "you look nice," or "that sounded great," and every time I would ask if you really meant it. The answer was always yes. This went on for awhile, me questioning your honesty, but every time I started to less expect you to admit a lie and I more expected an honest and sincere reassurance. Then, one day, after me not believing your honesty hundreds of times, you told me that I had done good. And for the first time in years, I didn't question it, because I knew for a fact that you were telling the truth. After years of letdowns and disappointments, I finally trusted somebody again.
