courtney laid in bed just staring at the ceiling while drew was finishing up in the bathroom. "that candle smells amazing," drew said, entering the room. courtney just hummed in agreement. "is everything okay?" drew said as he sat on the end of the bed.
"yeah, everythings fine," courtney told him, eyes still up at the ceiling. the silence made courtney finally sit up and confess her thoughts. "my dad will be at the wedding tomorrow."
"and thats a bad thing?" drew asked innocently.
"not right now. back when i was dating, trigger warning, jake, my dad liked him more than i did. even after i found out he was sleeping with someone the last three months of our relationship like a fucking dickbag. sorry."
"no, continue," drew said, smirking.
"okay, anyways, for the three months after we broke up my dad would invite jake to family dinner and family gatherings. and now im scared my dad will bring him to the wedding as his plus one," courtney rushed out.
"he's your dad, surely he won't bring him," drew said to try and console her.
"i wouldnt put him past him."
"well," drew said finally climbing into bed, "let's get some sleep so we can have a suoer fun, jake free day tomorrow."
