(Jacob faces Bella and Edward. They're in the center of the field. Jasper stands several paces behind Edward.)
"You're not fighting? What, you pull a muscle or something?" Jacob said taunting the vampire.
"He's doing it for me. Okay?" Bella said, not wanting a fight to break out.
(Jacob looks at her, at Edward, shakes his head with disdain.)
"Whatever. Just tell me the plan." Jacob said.
(Jasper steps forward slightly.)
"This field will give us an advantage in battle. We need to lure the newborns with Bella's scent. It needs to end here." Jasper explained.
"Edward and I are going on a campsite. Even if he carries me, they'll still pick up our scents." Bella explained.
"Your stench, however, is revolting." Edward said with a pained grimace set on his face.
"Dude, you really don't want to start comparing stinks." Jacob said with a snort. As if smelling him in that moment to prove his point.
"What he means, is that your scent will mask mine if you carry me." Bella said explaining it in a better way than Edward did.
"Done." Jacob said easily. Willing to help if it was for Bella's safety.
"This is not a good idea." Edward said totally against the idea of Jacob spending alone time with Bella after he kissed her without her consent.
"Edward. They won't want to get anywhere near his... odor." Jasper said trying to put it politely.
Cause gods do the wolves stink. Thank the gods Josie doesn't.
When she's in wolf form she just smells more prominently of the forest than when using her vampire side which is when the campfire smell dominates her scent.
Then again her gift of Pyrokinesis will be very helpful in this fight.
But it might also expose her to the Volturi. Which is why she will only use her gift if needed.
"Okay, let's just try it." Bella said completely done with the snide comments at each other.
(Edward finally nods. She extends her arms to Jacob. He grins, picks her up, holding her tight.)
"Eau de wolf, comin' up." Jacob joked with a smirk on his face.
"Run." Jacob said exasperatedly.

(Jacob runs through the trees carrying Bella – not super-human speed, but fast, and not breaking a sweat. Some time has passed and Jacob sets Bella down. They start to walk, circling back slowly toward their distant starting point.)
"You gonna ask me to sit out the fight, too? Or don't you care about my safety?" Jacob joked half serious.
"Of course I care, but you'd say no." Bella said.
"So I won't have a choice anyways. Since I let Sam be the alpha male. I got to live with the shots he calls." Jacob said with a sigh.
"Since you let Sam be alpha?" Bella asked curiously.
"I didn't want to be in a pack, let alone be their leader." Jacob said.
"Wow. Chief Jacob." Bella joked trying out the title, finding it didn't sound too bad.
"Opted out. But every choice has its consequences. Some more than others." Jacob explained.
"Don't start. Everybody makes choices, you're gonna have to accept mine." Bella said catching the underlying meaning in Jacob's voice.
"You can love more than one person at a time. I've seen it, with Sam, Emily, and Leah." Jacob said trying to justify his actions.
"Well... I'm not a wolf, I can't imprint, not like Josie did." Bella added on as an after thought.
Remembering her sister telling her about how both her vampire and wolf side chose Rosalie, it had been the first time they'd ever agreed on anything, Rosalie was not only her mate, but also her imprint. Their love was two fold.
"It has nothing to do with imprinting. It has to do with... Feeling something for somebody. And I know you feel something for me. I can sense how I make you feel... Physically. I make you nervous." Jacob said.
Filing away that information on Josie for later.
(Jacob pulls her closer, indeed, making her a little nervous.)
"Jake." Bella said, a warning in her tone.
"Don't worry. I promised I wouldn't kiss you again until you asked." Jacob said, sure she would ask again. He knew she felt something for him.
"You're going to be keeping that promise for a while, Chief." Bella said.
(Bella literally in the next freaking hour, kiss me Jake.)
(He sees he's gotten to her, grins.)

(BACK ON EDWARD as Jasper jogs out of the woods.)
"All I picked up was wolf stench. No Bella. This will work." Jasper said.
"Great." Edward said relieved.
...
(Bella climbs from her truck just as Alice exits the house with Charlie. The two laugh, enjoying one another. As Alice heads down the stairs...)
"Okay, Alice. Don't be a stranger." Charlie said with a small smile.
"Okay." Alice said with a grin.
(Bella, surprised, waves back as Charlie heads into the house. Alice meets Bella in the yard.)
"Your alibi for the battle is all arranged." Alice said.
"Really?" Bella asked, kinda shocked.
"I told your father that our whole family's going camping this weekend. So you and I are having a sleepover at my house. Charlie is going fishing anyway." Alice explained to the girl.
"Charlie? You guys run for the same basis now?" Bella asked surprised.
"Me and Rosalie, he likes. Actually, you and Edward will have the house to yourself tonight." Alice said.
"Like alone?" Bella asked.
"We're all going hunting, powering up for the battle. You're welcome. Josie will be with Hope." Alice said.
(OFF BELLA, flushed with anticipation and nerves...)

Josie was happily humming as she held the almost five and a half month old to her chest.
Rocking her back and forth so she'd go to sleep.
Honestly being a mother was one of the greatest joys Josie had ever experienced.
Her life was looking up.
She'd gotten Rosalie back, she'd gotten married, she'd had her first child, now if only Bella would stop causing drama.
Everything would be completely perfect if that happened.
Hopefully that would be achieved after the battle.
Because Rosalie and Josie had been talking about having another kid soon.
They wants to have them close in age, and then maybe take a couple years to have any other children they'd want.

Josie had just put Hope down for a nap when Rosalie walked in.
Her eyes a bright golden, indicating that she'd just hunted.
"How was your hunt mon amour?" Josie asked.
"It was good, I got a tasty buck and a fox." Rosalie said with a grin.
Fox were Rosalie's favorite animal to feed off of.
"That's good." Josie said as she started picking up around the house.
Where Hope played on her play mat.
She was getting so big.
She'd try to start crawling soon.
Plus her eyes were settling down to a more violet blue much like Rosalie's human eyes.
Her hair has gained a permanent color.
Being a mix of Rosalie's blond and Josie's brunette creating an auburn like color when it hit the sun just right, but looking a bit darker in the dark.

Josie and Rosalie were in bed after a long night of love making, tomorrow was the battle and they just wanted to be close to each other in case one of them died tomorrow.
The two had pondered the idea of more kids, and had greed that it would be nice to have another since all the drama would hopefully end tomorrow.
So Rosalie had made love to her wife and bitten her once again.
It would take a few weeks to know if they were indeed pregnant once again.
But honestly they were excited for the future to come.
Maybe something great would happen, who knows.
Authors Note: Sorry if anyone feels like I snubbed them on the smut for this scene, but I honestly don't feel real comfortable writing it.
I only wrote their first time to give an example of what their future love making sessions would look like. And to show you exactly how Hope was conceived with the bite and venom method.
I'll probably be making another chapter before tonight's end. I've been on a role lately, ideas just spring into my mind at random times, if you can see by my update times.
The next battle will probably be the battle. And also probably the end of Eclipse as we head straight into the good parts of Breaking Dawn part 1 and two when the twins will be born, imprints and mate bonds will develop and the juicy parts of the story happen.
