Ten days later:
"So...how are you feeling today Yn?" Doctor asked as he checked Yn's vitals.
"I'm feeling really good!!! Because i can ho home today!!!" Yn replied with excitement bubbling in her voice. The doctor smiled at her.
"That's great news! I'm glad to hear that. But remember to take it slow at first and listen to your body. You still need plenty of rest." He said as he finished up his check-up.
As Yn was being wheeled out of the hospital, she couldn't help but feel a mixture of relief and nervousness. On the one hand, she was excited to finally be going home; on the other, she was worried about adjusting to her new life and facing the reality of what had happened. Ricky was by her side the whole time, offering words of encouragement and support.
When they arrived at Ricky's house..it was almost getting dark....Yn's jaw dropped. It was unlike anything she had ever seen before. The house was mind-blowingly modern, 4 cars were parked in front of the house.... everything was in black colour ... The house looked like a giant black box from outside. It was huge.
"Ricky! For 3 person the house is too big!" Yn exclaimed, unable to hide her awe. Ricky chuckled, shrugging modestly.
"Well, it's not for 3 person princess.... Only I stay here "
Yn glanced at him, not believing him for a moment.
"N...No way!!!! This is a mansion!!! Yn protested. Ricky laughed, leading her inside.
The interior of the house was just as impressive as the exterior. Everything was spotlessly clean and meticulously arranged. There were few cooks working in the kitchen, each one preparing different dishes. Few butlers flitted about, attending various tasks. And not to be forgotten...he got a bunch of security guards, The house was truly a marvel of modern living.
"Whoa! What are you actually Ricky? A prince?" Yn asked, her eyes wide with amazement.
Ricky grinned at her reaction. "Well, I am a prince for my parents, but you can just call me your knight....Princess...from now on, this is your home too." He guided her upstairs to his bedroom room.
"Omg!!!!! This room is so Freaking amazing!!!!! Is it your room?????? Yn asked in awe, walking around the room, touching the things around.
"Yes, it's mine...but it's yours too!" Ricky replied, watching her take in the luxurious surroundings. He had never been more pleased.
"But..wait!!! Am i staying with you in the same bed???" Yn asked worriedly.
Ricky chuckled..."Princess we had been staying in the same bed for a long time already! And.... you!!! You always like to cling around my chest!" Ricky said, blushing. Yn's cheeks turned red too.
"Erm...do i? Yn asked, still blushing. Ricky smiled and nodded, pulling her closer. "Yes, you do.... And don't worry, I'll never do anything wrong with you "
Ricky opened his closet "Princess I've got everything you need..."
Yn looked at Ricky, she didn't expect this at all. "Ricky... you!!!!"
"No worries princess... it's all we bought together in korea... after we came here i asked my people to bring all your things here"
Ricky said as he showed her clothes. There were clothes of different colors and designs....
"I...I can't take all of these..." Yn stammered, overwhelmed by the generosity.
"Yes you can... Because 'They are all yours'!?!?" Ricky assured her with a warm smile.
"Are you actually serious?" Yn asked, still in disbelief. Ricky nodded emphatically, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Of course I am! You're my princess, remember? I'm always here for you and make sure you have everything you need." He gestured for her to sit on the bed while he continued to show her around the room. "And look at this! I had arrange your makeup and skin care products just the way you like them." Yn gasped as she saw the perfectly organized vanity table with all of her favorite products laid out neatly.
"Are all these really mine?" Yn asked in confusion.
"Of course they are! I already said it's all we bought together in korea" Ricky answered with a smile. "Now go and change your clothes" Ricky said, looking at Yn's old clothes. Yn nodded and went to the dressing room to change. After a while she came out, wearing a cute and comfy clothing that Ricky had chosen for her.
"You are looking beyond cute" Ricky complimented her, making Yn's heart flutter.
"Ehehe... thank you..." Yn smiled shyly.
Time skip
10pm
As they sat down at the dining table, the cook served a healthy and delicious dinner for them. There was a variety of vegetables, grilled chicken, and brown rice. The food smelled amazing.
"All healthy food!" Yn said, looking at the food.
"Of course! I want you to eat healthy you just got released from the hospital!" Ricky answered, giving her a sweet smile.
After they finished their dinner, yn wanted to sit in the balcony to feel fresh air...."Princess you'll catch cold..."Ricky protested.
But yn insisted "Please Please "...
"Ah okay...but only for a while!" Ricky agreed, wrapping a blanket around her.
They sat in the balcony, looking at the stars and the night scenery. "This place is so beautiful..." Yn whispered...."I really wonder how was my life before?" Yn asked looking at the stars..."Look Ricky it's a 'M'!!!!!!!" Yn said excitedly pointing at the stars...
"Huh??? M???? " Ricky's heart almost dropped . "Haha...The stars are really beautiful!" He tried to sound convincing. "I don't want you to remember the pain you've been through princess... at least not now...it can make your health condition worse..." Ricky thought to himself as he was looking at her.
"But I really wanna know..." She turned her head to look at Ricky. "Do i used to have a lot of friends back in korea? Do i used to have a boyfriend?
"Yes...you had lots of 'guy' friends..." Ricky tried to answer honestly. "And...well...you were into a guy from our university...but...it didn't last long..." He hesitated, not wanting to bring up any painful memories.
Yn looked at him intently. "Really? Who was he? Do you remember his name?"
Ricky sighed. "His name was Kim...he was in the same year as us in the university...." Ricky trailed off, not wanting to get into the details.
Yn looked at him curiously. "You knew him? Did you like me back then?"
"Li...like???" Ricky choked on his own words.
"Yes...like. Did you like me?" Yn asked, her voice small but determined.
Ricky felt his heart skip a beat. He looked into her eyes , searching for any signs of doubt or suspicion. But all he could see was innocence and curiosity. "Princess...I..." He swallowed hard.
"What?" she asked softly, leaning in.
Ricky hesitated, feeling his heart race. He knew he couldn't lie to her. "Yn...I..." He trailed off, searching for the right words.
"Leave it...Did you ever had any girlfriend?Yn asks with curiosity in her eyes as she leans closer to him.
"Umm... No..." Ricky answered, still a bit nervous. Ricky got nervous. He didn't know what to say.
"Really??????? A Prince like you never had a girlfriend?????!?!?!?!?!" Yn almost screamed with surprise, bouncing up and down. "Did you ever slept with any girl??? Wiggling her eyebrows.
Ricky couldn't help but laugh at her reaction. "Princess....!"
"So you never had a girlfriend, but you slept with a girl before?" She teased him, her eyes sparkling with mischief.
"If only you knew...you are the only girl I've ever fallen in love with and it was love at first sight....and!!!!! The only girl I've ever slept with...." Ricky thought to himself.
"Why are you silent hmm???"Yn poked his cheek and Ricky felt more nervous. "Umm... Princess... She's my first love..." he started, "but there's a big mess in this..." Ricky tried to sound convincing.
Yn raised her eyebrow. "What do you mean by that? Tell me!" she demanded, her curiosity getting the better of her.
Ricky took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. "It's....ugh!!! I didn't know she was married...we were in a party...and she was drunk...but don't misunderstand me!!! I didn't take any advantage of her,i swear!!! She asked me to take her somewhere less crowded..." Yn cuts him off "and the less crowded place was your room???" Yn teased.
"No no no!!!!! Nothing like that...we went to a club...and from there....and i swear i asked for permission!" Ricky was now totally red in the face. He couldn't believe he was admitting all this to her. "But...it was still wrong...and I regret it..." He looked at her, hoping she'd understand.
Yn stared at him for a moment, her expression a mix of confusion and curiosity. "So...you're saying that you didn't know she was married, but you still felt guilty because it was wrong?and it wasn't only you who did this.... So?"
"What do you mean, 'So'?" Ricky asked, confused.
Yn shrugged. "I mean, you're a guy, and you're gorgeous. It's only natural that girls might be interested in you..and she wanted you... So why are you feeling guilty?
Ricky swallowed hard, trying to find the right words. "It's...it's complicated..." he finally managed. "I just...I didn't want to hurt anyone. And I didn't want to take advantage of someone who was drunk..but because of me her married life is ruined..." He trailed off, feeling even more guilty than before.
Yn looked at him with pity in her eyes. "Oh...I see..." she said softly. "it's good that you felt that way...But you know what? Sometimes, people make mistakes. And they learn from them. You shouldn't blame yourself too much. And what happened to the girl ?
Ricky took a deep breath, trying to calm down. "Princess let's go inside... it's getting colder... you'll get sick"
"But...ah Okay..." Yn said, following him as they went back inside Ricky's room.
Yn felt sleepy as she lay down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. "So...do you still love her?" she asked softly.
"I...um...." Ricky's heart almost came out of his ribcage...."Sleep Princess" Ricky whispered as he kissed Yn's forehead.
"I still love her...but..." he said, not sure if he should have. Yn didn't reply, already fast asleep. Ricky felt his heart racing even more. He wanted to hold her, to kiss her, to tell her how he really felt. But he knew he couldn't. Not yet...not ever... He settled for pulling the blanket up over her shoulders and looking at her sleeping face thinking about everything that had happened.
After a while... Ricky felt grip on his shirt..."here you go...."he chuckled and moved closer to yn "I'm here Princess" he whispered as Yn snuggled up into his chest.
He stroked her hair gently as she drifted back to sleep. He couldn't help but wonder if she'd ever feel the same way about him. He knew that was impossible...
Her breath warmed his chest, and he couldn't help but smile softly. Even though he knew it was only a friendship, he cherished every moment they spent together. He didn't want to lose her, but he didn't want to ruin what they had either.
He wondered if Yn had any idea how much he loved her. Maybe she thought he was just being protective or caring. He wished he could tell her the truth, but he was afraid it would change everything between them.
He will never do anything selfish to hurt her, even if that meant staying silent about his feelings. He knew he had to accept the fact that their relationship could never be more than friendship....he knows Yn will remember everything someday...and maybe she will go back to Mingyu...her husband.
The thought made him ache deep inside. He tried to push it away, focusing on the present moment. Yn was still asleep, her breath gentle against his chest....
