It was that season of the year when everyone got all lovey-dovey and asked out their crushes or significant others on a special, romantic date. Yes, I'm talking about Valentine's Day.
It must be depressing for single, delusional, sad people who hav e no one to spend the special day with a special someone, lucky for the ones who couldn't relate though. Valentine's Day is two things, depression, and happiness, sad because someone couldn't find someone to spend the day with, and happy because they have someone to spend the day with, aren't I right?
Well, you forgot that today was Valentine's Day and you didn't really care, you were on your phone and doing things, trying to keep yourself entertained, perhaps reading Wattpad? Couldn't tell.
While you were busy with yourself and your phone, a certain demon was in distress, he was panicking all over the place and muttering to himself like he was going to die at that very second, but that wasn't the case.
Ford was busy, he had things to do, but Bill wouldn't even leave him alone, the old man was starting to get irritated. "Please help me Sixer!" Bill desperately begged, he was practically on his knees. "Why do you even care, Cipher?" Ford asked, not looking at the demon while he was working on something. "Please Sixer! It's for Sunflower!" After Bill mentioned you into this, Ford stopped what he was doing and turned to the demon that was begging on his knees. "For my niece?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. "Yes! It's Valentine's Day and it's a day where couples and friends spend the day with each other!" Bill had just found out about this just a day before and he knew he had to do something for his precious sunflower, which is you.
Ford was thinking about it, and then he sighed. "It's not that hard, just give her flowers, chocolates, a great speech or poem or something, just make it romantic, you're supposed to be better at this than me, Bill, I'm single.." Ford took a deep sigh before he continued to his work. "Hm.." Bill muttered, then suddenly there were stars in his eyes. "You're right, Sixer! Genius as ever!" He said while sprinting out of the basement, Ford didn't care what that demon was going to do, as long as he made you happy, that's what matters to him.

It was almost evening, you were dozing off a little bit, it was like you were missing something, but what? That was what you were thinking to yourself, what was that you were missing? Were you forgetting something? What day it was? The year? The time? You scratched those possibilities away, maybe you were just tired, but then you remembered a certain someone, and then you realized something, what was Bill doing?
Yes, that triangle, roaming around Gravity Falls trying to find the perfect present. Usually, he wouldn't even care about small celebrations such as this, he would ignore it and continue his day like any other, but today was special. If it was a holiday that would let him surprise you and take you out on a small outing, he would not hesitate and would do it in a heartbeat,, he would do anything to make you happy after all.
While Bill was preparing everything, presents and even the place to take you to, you were in the shack, oblivious to what he was doing. Of course, it had been like any other day for you, boring and slow, with nothing to do. That is until you heard loud footsteps coming from your direction and you looked up to see where it was coming from, then Mabel came through the door, she had a big smile on her face.
"Why the big smile?" You asked curiously, not holding back a small smile. "I just got myself a valentine! I'm going on a date tonight!" Mabel said enthusiastically, smiling more brightly than ever. "Valentine?" You raised your eyebrow, and for a few seconds you were thinking, trying to remember, then you suddenly felt like something struck your head that made you finally remember, the reason that you felt like something was a miss. "It's Valentine's Day!?" You couldn't help but blink a few times, how could you forget? You promised yourself that you would surprise Bill on this special day, but you forgot! And the day was nearly over.
"You forgot?" Mabel couldn't help but chuckle at this news, you were always bickering about how you would surprise Bill during Valentine's Day and treat him to dinner and all that type of stuff, after all that big talk, you forgot, how embarrassing.
"Do you know where Bill is!?" You suddenly got up from your seat with a look of frustration on your face, you were frustrated with your little goldfish brain that you just had to forget what you had to do today. Mabel on the other hand looked worried, but she shook her head. "Haven't seen the dude today, don't know where he's had." You knew you didn't have time to go searching for him with no place in mind, so you just decided to prepare and then find him, which seems to be the most rational choice so far.
On the other hand, Bill was in a small store trying to find the perfect present for you, he was debating on either choosing a delicious chocolate bar or a plushie that he knew you would find adorable, but he couldn't exactly pick one, but he had another option in mind, getting both! So you know what he did? He got both! It was a little pricey since Bill chose the ones that were quite overpaid, he was a man with expensive taste, but that didn't stop him from paying for the items and leaving the store happily.
While Bill just finished with his little shopping and just left the store, you came rushing into that same store and looked around to see what you should get. You went to the candy section and spotted just what you need, chocolate. You knew Bill wasn't a being who needed food or water to survive, but since he was in human form, he had to eat, sleep, and drink, but not as much as humans do. Regardless, you still got it for him. He had never tasted chocolate before, but you knew he would try anything if it meant your happiness.
Now, you had to plan for a restaurant for you and him, but the restaurant in Gravity Falls wasn't exactly 'romantic' or 'lavish' but something has to do the job, but you weren't exactly thinking about a restaurant, maybe a little something more involving the starry skies?

Night has fallen and the moon shined brightly under the people on Earth, the critters were asleep and Gravity Falls lived up to its name, a sleepy town. Most stores were closed and you could mostly just hear water dropping and silent winds, but tonight seemed just perfect, quiet yet bright.
You were going to the spot where you had just in mind, you were sleeping like a child just thinking about Bill's reaction, you know he'll be happy. But when you think about it, did Bill plan something too? You didn't want to doubt him, of course. But what would he think of if he were the one to plan this?
Upon arriving at the spot, it was a big, tall cliff that loomed over Gravity Falls, the town looked so small up there, but the thing that mattered the most at the moment was the view of the beautiful night sky. The stars were brighter than ever tonight and you couldn't help but feel a comforting feeling just looking at the stars.
"Sunflower?" You heard a familiar voice behind you and you turned around to see Bill, holding what looked like a present. Your eyes widened for a bit and stayed quiet for a few seconds before you broke out of your trance. "B-Bill? What are you doing here?" You asked, a little baffled, yet also surprised. "I was here to set up a place for our date—" Before Bill could finish speaking, you spoke out almost immediately. "I was doing the same.." You muttered softly yet quietly, but it was loud enough for Bill to hear.
Silence filled the environment, the two looking at each other with a rather surprised look, the two had never imagined where they would plan something at the same time without the other knowing, and ended up picking the same place, with the same plan in mind.
Suddenly, Bill let out a small laugh and this resulted in you laughing as well, you two couldn't help but feel like the situation was a little humorous, it isn't like this type of situation happens all the time so you two didn't have any negative reaction towards it, it just shows how much you two care for one another and that you two would go to such extend to form a plan that you would think is perfect.
"Isn't this surprising?" Bill finally eased up his laughter, now grinning slightly at you. "Who would have thought?" You said rather quietly, yet your tone showed amusement. "I'm surprised you remembered.." Your previous amusement died down, now showing a tint of joy, you wouldn't have thought that Bill would have remembered something such as this, you would sometimes have to remind him cause he had such a short-term memory. "Of course, I remembered! You were so excited about it that I just had to keep it inside my head, also because so many people were talking about it.." He muttered, and a slight giggle escaped his mouth.
Your mind started to slowly wander, you remembered the first time you met Bill, and oh boy how naive you were back then, you weren't prepared for anything when you came to Gravity Falls— and.. the plot twist that occurred in the last chapter of your journey, but that was a few years ago, your life has settled down ever since then. But you also wonder.. what would have happened if it weren't for—
Suddenly, Bill's loud voice startled you from your thoughts and you had to pause your train of thought for a while to see what Bill was yapping about. He was pointing at the dark, bright sky and your eyes widened, it was a meteor shower! The last time you saw a meteor shower was during your first date with Bill, oh how you missed the nostalgic days.
"This reminds me of something, you know right?" Bill asked and you nodded with a smile on your face. "Sure do, our first date?" You raised an eyebrow, still having that smile on your face and he nodded. "I still remember the awe expression on your face when you saw it for the first time," Bill said, reminiscing about the old days and you only let out a small hum.
It grew quiet, not an uncomfortable silence, it was filled with an aura of calmness and reminiscent, you couldn't be anymore happier, just you and Bill, no one else.
The comfortable silence just had to be broken because of Bill when he remembered something. "Oh— I almost forgot!" He said, he was still holding the present in his hands and he gave it to you. "It's not very lavish or anything, but I assure you that it's a present full of care and love." You could never grew old of Bill's cheesy and corny comments about his feelings for you, but you didn't exactly mind either, it just made him look like a big softie.
You looked at him for a few seconds, before looking at the present that he was giving you, you slowly took the gift from his hands, and with a short glance at it, you opened the present and saw what was inside, it was a pair of chocolate and a plushie. Though what he said was true, it was nothing fancy, it was still gifted to you with pure love, so you looked at him, smiled, and gave him a big hug.
"You're so sweet! The sweetest dorito!" You complimented him with a big smile on your face. Bill was surprised by your sudden hug but he could never reject affection from you, so he hugged you back, with a smile.
Talking about presents, you immediately remembered that you also got him gifts, you pulled away from the hug and got out your gift to him. "For you!" You said enthusiastically, handing the gift to him. Bill was surprised but pleased that you had gotten him something, so he gratefully took the present from your hands and didn't hesitate to open it.
Inside the present that you had gifted him, he saw chocolate and.. a plushie of his triangular form? Bill couldn't help but feel a little bit of amusement, you always had to bring him the most unique stuff, that's why he loved you, you were unpredictable, just like him.
"This is certainly interesting, I love it." Bill approved of his gift and he smiled, it seemed you were both happy. But then Bill looked like he suddenly got an idea and he snapped his fingers, for a few seconds nothing happened and suddenly a bouquet of small yellow flowers appeared out of nowhere, typical Bill.
"For you, M'lady." He spoke sweetly with a slight grin, you couldn't help but surpass a small laugh and took the bouquet from his hands. "You shouldn't have.." You said rather sarcastically, but despite your tone of voice, deep inside you knew he shouldn't have thought of giving you more gifts such as flowers, you didn't know where to put all the stuff he gave you and space was a limited thing for you now. Yes, you have ranted to Bill about it but he just doesn't care, he likes pampering and spoiling you and that is his whole personality.
Bill, being the little goofball he is, simply let out a giggle while patting your cheek. "Ah.. you're funny, Sunflower.." He said, taking your words as a joke as he began to walk in the other direction. "Hey— Bill—" You were surprised by his sudden movement and went to catch up to him. "Bill...." You called out to him, but he only smiled at you in return, was he planning something? If he was, then you weren't too positive about it.
After a few more seconds of walking, he stopped. You stood right beside him as you looked at his face. "Are you going to show me something?" You asked, raising an eyebrow in curiosity. "Actually, yes," He answered rather straightforwardly. "Listen Sunflower, today is a special day! You know why?" He asked, turning his gaze to the night sky. You followed where he was gazing, but all you could see was the dark sky, the bright moon, and the shining stars, what was he trying to point out?
"What?" You muttered, looking at him once more. "Be patient, darling." He said, not taking his eyes off from the sky. You rolled your eyes as an answer to his words, but you decided to be a little more patient and gaze back at the sky.
As a few more seconds had passed, nothing, another seconds went by, nothing. You were counting inside your head and it was only about 22 seconds, but it felt more. As you were about to ask Bill again, something from the corner of your eye caught something and you turned your gaze fully at the sky and you widened your eyes in surprise.
The night sky, which was once full of darkness and dimmed stars, was now covered in a streak of light that moved down onto the surface of the earth. "Is that—?" You muttered under your breath, and as if Bill was reading your mind, he nodded. "Yes, that my dear is a meteor shower." He pointed out, still gazing up. You couldn't take your eyes off of it, it wasn't every time you saw a meteor shower, and with such an amazing view too.
You couldn't count how much was falling, but you knew there were a few lots of it. The streak of light fell with such speed that you couldn't possibly keep up with it. Your eyes looked like there were stars in them, and Bill had noticed. "Amazed?" He scooted over to you, with a cheeky grin on his face. You couldn't even be annoyed at his grin, you couldn't help but realize you just saw one in a lifetime experience, so you nodded in response.
Bill let out a chuckle, an amused one that is. "Glad to hear, 'cause I planned this whole setup.." It was evident he was proud of himself, it felt weird seeing an all-powerful being acting so proud and prideful over something as planning a Valentine's date, but you couldn't judge him either, you would probably feel the same.
As the meteor shower continued, you and Bill sat down under a tree as you two settled down and watched the meteors fall to earth in comfortable silence, you must say that this Valentine's Day will always be one of your favorite memories.
