Mr. Valentino was angry. Every single thing that he had planned was falling apart, even the citizens and loyalists of Noah Corp had started demonstrating in the streets, demanding for the whereabouts of Noah and justice for they believed Mr. Valentino was out for a malicious scheme, which he was anyway, he just hated that they were playing against him. If the government should get involved, he would be in deep trouble for he had discreetly kicked out Noah from his own office using officials he had corrupted.
As he sipped coffee in Noah's office overlooking the city through the magnificent glass walls that Noah had built. He felt repulsed that things were not going to plan, behind him a tall man that looked too much like Noah sat on one of the sofas already half drunk and Lan, an unreadable expression on his face sat across from him.
The initial plan was to detain Noah in an unknown location somewhere then have Brad confess in the eyes of all the press that indeed Noah Corp was actually manufacturing Bots and technological devices that were harmful to human survival and threatening to human ways of livelihood but that too had failed right from the moment the two idiots had let him go because they claimed, he sang so loud that their ears almost bleed. " It was as if needles were prickling our ears sir! "
Mr. Valentino was so disappointed in them that he ordered they be thrown into the cells for two months.
Brad too was another imbecile; he had failed in his mission. I t was a great advantage that Brad looked everything like Noah himself and had mastered the sign language, but the problem was the man had liquor for brain matter. All her cared about was women, alcohol and attending all night joints. Of course, Valentino had to give honor where it was due, Brad had played the role of implicating Noah well especially in the many headlines in the recent past where he had made sure the press captured him in all compromising locations that had the public questioning Noah's moral standing, but he had errored. His lust had overpowered him and unnecessarily, after that date he had taken Lily out, he asked Lily to meet him to take the blueprints on a Monday when he had also intended to kick out and detain Noah. It was a bad idea and Mr. Valentino only knew of it after the blueprints were gone when they were raiding Noah's office.
" If only you had kept a leash on your damn self, I would have had the blueprints by now and you would have had Lily all to yourself. Now, look at us, you lost Lily, and I lost both Noah and the blueprints!" He scolded.
Mr. Valentino wanted to quiet down the public protests but it would do him more harm than good because everyone would question why he was silencing them if he was truly fighting for a course of justice so he had to sit still and hope no more external attention would be drawn, secondly, he hoped that the protests would actually lure Noah from his hiding place, that way he would gear his plans back in effect.
" What about Esau?"
" That man went no contact on me ever since I kicked him out of the board room that month, he was too bitter that I was siding with Noah, "
" Well, he should think different now that you are going against him, he should be willing to reach out,"
" No, Brad, Esau is intelligent. He cannot get involved with me until he knows what my intentions are exactly,"
" And what makes you think Noah does not have the same reasoning?"
" What are you driving at Lan?" Valentino asked Lan who suddenly spoke up from the sofa he sat on.
" Noah and Esau are brothers, no matter how clear Esau has made it seem he hates his brother, there is boundary the two cannot cross. What I am simply saying, if there is anyone you should get hold of, is Esau?" Lan briefly explained, a blank look on his face.
Mr. Valentino smirked and spared a look at Lan wondering what point he was driving at.
" It seems you fail to understand me Valentino, why are you staring at me like that ?"
" How do you mean, I should get a hold of Esau?"
" Blood is always thicker than water,"
" Not in all instances,"
" I agree, it's a truth but in this case even if the brothers are sworn enemies, Esau will always have a soft spot for his brother when the worst comes to its worst, if there is any one who may bear the slightest clue concerning the welfare of Noah at the moment is Esau,"
Lan smiled broadly and Brad seemed to sober up," it seems that some of us will still have their fun."
