Sometimes, writing stresses me out.
I want them to be good,
but if they're too good, there's no emotion.
I never rhyme.
5 Because my emotions don't rhyme.
My emotions don't have a pattern.
My emotions are aching and fractured.
My emotions are everywhere.
But if it doesn't rhyme, is it a poem?
10 It doesn't matter.
It doesn't have to be a poem to be my feelings.
My emotion.
My heart.
Sometimes, writing stresses me out.
15 To make myself vulnerable.
To open my heart to everyone.
Why do I want to do this?
I don't even know if I do.
Yet, I can't talk to anyone but paper.
20 So, paper will deliver these messages instead.
Paper tells my secrets.
Paper holds my words the way I never could.

25 But, sometimes, writing stresses me out.
What if the reader doesn't understand?
What if I misspell something?
Is this childish?
I won't know until someone tells me.
30 And then it's just embarrassing.
Sometimes, writing stresses me out.
Sometimes, writing is hard.
Sometimes, writing seems pointless.
Sometimes, writing is embarrassing.
35 Yet, sometimes, writing just feels like freedom.
