[ It's been two days, and Seungcheol still didn't show up. Y/N doesn't hope for him coming back to their place again after what he heard that day. No one brings Seungcheol's name in front of Y/N. With every minute passing, the hope of Seungcheol's arrival started to fade away. Everyone was sitting in the living room discussing how to comfort Y/N in the future when someone rings the doorbell.]
Y/N:

[Y/N said while coming out of her room. She quickly opened the door and found Seungcheol with red puffy eyes and dark circles under his eyes.]
Cheol:
Can we talk?
[ Seungcheol doesn't know what to say; this is the least he thought of at that time.Y/N/Nust nodded with teary eyes while opening the door wide for him to come inside.]
Cheol:
Not here. I want to take you somewhere. If you are okay with that.
[There was strangeness between Y/N and Seungcheol.]
Y/N:
Okay!
Cheol:
I'm waiting in the car.
[Everyone looks at Y/N, worried about what might happen if things get out of hand. She smiles and assures everyone that she can handle this. Other than that, it's Seungcheol; he would rather die than hurt Y/N.]
Hao:
Call us if anything happens.
Y/N:
Thanks.
[ With that, Y/N get into the car while waiting for Seungcheol to say something. Seungcheol just started to drive without saying anything.]
Flashback:
Mrs. Choi:
Cheol, what happened?
[Seungcheol didn't say anything and rushed toward his room, leaving his parents dumbfounded.]
Mr. Choi:
What happened to him? Didn't he go there to sort things out with Y/N?
[Seungcheol's father said he was still looking at where Seungcheol disappeared a while ago, and his mother just shrugged her shoulders in response. They were still thinking about it when they heard screaming, shouting, and throwing things on the ground.
The sound was coming from Seungcheol's room. His parents rush toward his room, and when they open the door, they find their son sitting on the floor crying while his hand covers his face.]
Mrs. Choi:
What happened, Cheol-a? You go there to talk to Y/N and become friends again. What did she say?
[His mother spoke in worry while caressing his back when he hugged her tightly and started to cry loudly.]
Cheol:
I failed her, Ma. I told her that I'm responsible for her protection, but I couldn't protect her. I broke her.
[Mrs. Choi lifts Seungcheol's face and looks into his eyes.]
Mrs. Choi:
What happened?
[Seungcheol told everything to his mother; she just felt sorry for Y/N, who went through such a hard time.]
Mrs. Choi:
It's not your fault. It's no one's fault. Sometimes we're helpless in front of fate. Sometimes, even if we want to, we can't do anything, like when you lose your memory. You didn't remember anything, even when Y/N was in front of you the whole time for five years.
Cheol:

She doesn't know what is going on in his mind, and that was scaring her the most. She was scared to hear what Seungcheol had to say. Seungcheol finally broke the silence by holding Y/N's hand tightly without looking at her. Y/N just examine his side profile with tears in her eyes.]
Y/N:
Are you so disgusted by me that you don't even want to look at me?
[Seungcheol didn't respond, and she took it as a yes from him. Then why is he holding his hand? Is this his way of saying goodbye? Y/N's heart clenches with pain when she speaks in a trembling voice in an almost whisper.]
Y/N: C-coups?
[A tear fell from Seungcheol's eyes, and it hurts Y/N more.]
Cheol:
I'm sorry. I'm sorry that I ran away that day. I was feeling guilty because I couldn't protect you. Trust me, I didn't mean to hurt you. I was angry at myself because all I ever did was give you pain. From the start, I failed you all the time. I never realized the situation you were in the whole time. I'm sorry that I'm not capable enough to be with you.
[Seungcheol and Y/N both start to cry when Seungcheol suddenly hugs her.]
Y/N:

Cheol:

[Y/N, close your eyes, and take a deep breath.]
Y/N:
Why do you want to know? Everything ended between us that day.
Cheol:

[Y/N, look at Seungcheol. He was curious, frustrated, and sad too. Then she thinks about the time when she talked to Joshua regarding her presence in Seungcheol's life.]
Y/N:
Do you really want to know the truth?

[Y/N nodded in response while hiding her face in her hands. Seungcheol sighs in relief.]
Cheol:
Then why did you break up with me?
Y/N:
I... *sigh* I'm not good enough for you. I'm not the Y/N you loved. I'm not...
[Y/N's words were cut off by Seungcheol.]
Cheol:
