CHAPTER 33

Luke had awoken before Delilah, which was quite shocking for her. She was in his hoodie with her brunette damp hair still slightly wet. Since she had snuck him into the showers the night before since everyone was asleep.
Sunlight streaked through the curtains of her room as Luke admired his girlfriend. The way freckles still scattered across her caramel skin. She was so undeniably beautiful.
Luke smiled down to Delilah at her peaceful state. Her eyes were closed and her chest slowly rose up and down, he never wanted to leave the bed with her snuggled up close to him. Seeing her in his hoodie laying on chest somehow allowed him to become even more in love with the girl.
He placed a kiss gently on her forehead as he closed his eyes again. He felt dread wash over his body know his flight was tomorrow and he would have to wait nearly three weeks till being able to see her again.
She slightly stirred awake as she let her eyes adjust to the brightness of her room. "Hi Lukey" she whispered as he looked to her. "Hi Li" He greeted as she smiled and kissed his lips.
A small formed on his lips as she kissed his cheek. "Wanna grab breakfast?" She asked him as his stomach grumbled. They both let out a laugh as Lukes head nodded "yes".
Luke climbed out of her rised up bed along with Delilah. She walked over to her closet grabbing a sweater with jeans. She took Lukes hoodie off leaving her topless as Luke smirked. "No" she laughed shaking her head as he laughed.
She grabbed a bra and put it around her shoulders. He came up behind her and clipped it for her. Her breath hitched in her throat as she turned around to a smirking Luke. She gave him a kiss as his hands rested on her bare hips. Her skin felt like it was on fire, his touch driving her mind crazy.
"Later" she whispered against his lips as he nodded a bit. She pulled away smiling as he admired her body. She giggled and shrugged the sweater on her body as Luke grabbed his clothes from his bag.
She pulled her jeans on as Luke came over and put his hands underneath her sweater. She felt his calloused fingers contrast on her soft lotioned skin. "Your so needy" she informed him as he had a goofy smile spanning across his face.
"Ive just missed you love" he whispered into her ear sending shivers throughout her whole body. "Me too" she stroked his cheek with her thumb as he kissed her lips gently. "I gotta get ready, ill be right back" she whispered as he nodded his head.
She walked into the bathroom to wash her face seeing a girl from her sorority in there. "Have fun last night?" She smirked as Delilah rolled her eyes. "Possibly" she answered as the girl laughed. "I wonder what they would think of a boy being in your room?" She asked innocently as Delilah glared at her.
"Trust me Azalea got permission its fine" she assured as the girl shrugged her shoulders. She brushed her teeth along with washing her face. She walked back to her room annoyed from how nosey some of the girls were.
Luke was sprawled on the bed with his feet hanging over the bottom. She laughed at how the bed was too small for him as she walked over to her tiny vanity. Once she did her make up which wasn't much she turned to Luke, "does my makeup look good?" She inquired as he admired her.
"It looks amazing" he complimented as she blushed and got up. She pulled on her Uggs and Luke put on his sneakers. "You ready?" She asked as he nodded his head.
Once they Uber'd to the breakfast place. They got out thanking the Uber and walked in. It was a cozy place and it wasn't busy by any means. They sat down at a table towards the back as Delilah already knew what was getting but Luke was still deciding.
He eventually settled on a plate of pancakes along with a side of: eggs, bacon, and fruit. She laughed at how much food he had gotten with resulted with him smiling proudly after he finished it all. In a record time.
"You eat so much" Delilah took another bite of her strawberry waffles as Luke nodded proudly. "Im a growing boy" he answered as his girlfriend gave him an incredulous look. "I think you're done growing" She replied while he laughed a bit.
Once she finished most of her waffles, Luke ate the leftovers of her food. "Do you want to go to the hockey game tonight?" Delilah asked Luke as he nodded his head. "Mhm" he answered as she smiled and took a sip of her iced coffee. And finishing it off.

After walking around outside with Luke, enjoying the crisp autumnal breeze. And the satisfying sounds of leaves crunching with every step you took. She and Luke made it back to her sorority house as Delilah changed her sweater into a Umich crewneck with honestly had a high probability that it belonged to Luke.
"Is that mine?" Luke teased as she had a sheepish grin on her face, "probably" Delilah laughed as Luke kissed her head. "I cant wait to see you in my jersey" he whispered lowly in her ear as breathing halted. "Hm really?" She asked innocently turning around to him as he smirked.
"Yes really" Luke answered as she giggled and leaned up to kiss him again. "Ready?" She asked as he nodded his head. They ubered to Yost as Delilah showed the ticketer her tickets.
They were near the glass as they watched warm ups. Delilah turned to look at her boyfriend who had a look on his face. It reminded her of homesickness, she frowned a bit as his eyes followed his friends skate around the ice.
"I miss this" Luke frowned as Delilah had a sympathetic look on her face. "I know" she gently grabbed his hand and rubbed his hand with her thumb.
A few of the boys came up to the glass as they waved with bright smiles on their face. Azalea soon joined them before the game started as she chatted with Luke for a bit.
Azalea felt like a mastermind with this plan, Delilah had already seemed so much lighter and airy. Her smile brightened, her eyes twinkled more, and her cheeks were flushed. Unlike being drained of color like before.
Azalea loved seeing her best friend so much happier with her favorite boy in the world. Whenever Michigan scored cheers erupted throughout the arena. Luca scored a goal as the two turned to look at Azalea who was blushing profusely.
Delilah watched most of the game off of Lukes shoulder as his arm wrapped around her and rested on her hip. After it ended Delilah was able to go back to the locker rooms due to being one of the athletic trainers.
It was a big win against Boston, as the three made their way back to the locker rooms. Boisterous cheers and whoops could be heard as Luke let out a laugh.
Delilah peeked her head in as they all waved to her. "Hi Delilah!" The boys yelled as she laughed and waved back. Lukes head popped up above hers as they screamed. "Luke!" Ethan yelled as he laughed and walked into the locker room.
They all hugged him as Azalea and Delilah just laughed shaking their head. After snapping a few pics of the reunion, making a note to tell the social media manager to post them. They had to go back to Delilahs room as she dreaded the thought of it.
As they stepped into her room she was quiet. The ride there was silent even. Total mood change from earlier, Luke rubbed her lower back as wrapped her arms around him.
"Im not leaving until the morning" he whispered into her hair as she sighed. "You're still leaving" she frowned as he felt his heart shatter. "Im sorry li" he kissed her cheek as she looked up to him. "Im being dramatic im sorry" she pulled away slightly as Lukes eyebrows furrowed.
She avoided his comforting blue eyes that she could get lost in, his hands cupped her cheeks forcing him to look at her. "Hey no you're not" he looked into her eyes as she nodded a bit. "I get it, it's hard. But i love you. So we're going to make this work" he stroked her cheek with his thumb.
"I love you too" she peeped as he ducked down to connect their lips.
