"𝐂𝐀𝐍 𝐈 𝐓𝐀𝐊𝐄 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐎𝐍 𝐀 𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄?" trent asked as amalia layed in his arms.
"you and me? on a date?"
"yeah."
"i don't think so."
"why not?"
"the paparazzi and curtis and i don't know, i'm just not sure."
"mal, curtis loves us together and fuck the paps, so what if people see us together"
"i just don't want people to see me as another one of your girls."
"no one is gonna think that."
"yes they will, they'll probably think i'm a rebound from lou, which i probably am but-
"wait do you think you're a rebound?"
"am i not?"
" i care about you too much to ever use you as a rebound and fuck whoever decides to stick their noses in our business."

𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐓 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐀𝐌𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐀 were now seated in trent's car as they made their way to amalia's favourite restaurant. sure it was a bit cliche to go for dinner on their first date but they both didn't mind as long as they could eat good food and spend time together they were fine.
"can i have the aux?"
"of course."
"what music do you want me to play?"
"whatever you want."
amalia shrugged as she connected the cable and played 'on my body' by her and her best friend akayda.
"you're playing your own song?"
"is there something wrong with that?"
"hell no, i love this song."
"said you big but bigger than who?" trent sang along as amalia giggled at him.
"can't be me it's giving delu." trent continued to sing his very off beat and off key version of the song.
"akayda should have gotten you on the song instead of me." amalia said as she smiled at him.
"she really should have." trent sighed as he pretended to be dissapointed before he continued singing.
"no they can't turn us, they can't turn me downnn!" trent sang like his life depended on it as amalia's hand flew to her mouth in an attempt to conceal the laughter that threatened to spiil out. ( it didn't work)
"i don't see why you're laughing, i'm a better singer than you." trent huffed as he rolled her eyes at her.
"whatever you say, mariah carey."
"nah i'm beyonce bitch."
"beyonce can't compare to your talent."

❝𝐓𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐓𝐖𝐎?❞ the waiter asked the pair as he took them to their table.
a waitress, who couldn't seem to keep her eyes off of trent, came to take their orders.
"what can i get you today?" she asked looking at trent rather than both of them and to be honest amalia couldn't blame her.
"can i just have the steak, medium rare please."
"of course."
"and you?" the waitress asked not even bothering to look at amalia as her eyes were still fixated on trent.
"i'm over here."
"sorry about that, i just got distracted."
"it's fine, can i just have the seafood alfredo pasta."
"are you having any drinks with your food?"
"can i have a water?"
"i'll just have water aswell."
"alright, do you need anything else?" the waitress asked directing her question to trent once again.
"i'm good, mali do you need anything?"
"no i'm fine thank you."
"alright, my name's avery, incase you need me for anything."
"thanks, avery."
"you're too nice."
"what do you mean?"
"she was flirting with you."
"no she wasn't, she's just doing her job."
"if her job was to stare at you."
"i mean can you blame her."
"i can't, can i?" as amalia finished her sentence avery returned with their food.
"here's the steak, the pasta isn't ready yet."
"thank you avery."
"do you need anything else, like drinks or my number?" she asked as she said the last part a bit quieter so that only trent could hear her.
"i appreciate your hospitality, but i'm here with my girlfriend." trent said as he put his hand on top of amalia's.
"oh, i thought, i'm so sorry, i didn't mean to-" avery stumbled on her words as she tried to apologise.
"it's fine." amalia said smiling at her as the embarrassed woman walked away.
"girlfriend?"
"sounds nice doesn't it?"
"it does, but i'm not your girlfriend."
"you don't want to be?"
"you haven't asked me."
"what if i was just about to."
"i'm not stopping you."
"you spoilt the surprise."
"oh well, you'll think of something better."
soon amalia's food arrived along with their glasses of water, but this time it came with a different waiter. amalia assumed avery was too embarrased to return to their table and had begged another co-worker to attend to them.
after an hour or so, the two decided it was time to leave and asked for the bill.
"i'll pay."
"we can split it."
"don't worry about it, i'll pay."
"oh you're so kind." amalia smiled as she looked down at her purse which did not contain her wallet.
