i don't have any shifts today at the café so i'm going to visit after school.
"you're gonna talk to him?" eunjoo repeated what i just told her.
i nodded, "i hope i won't stumble on my words"
she chuckled & kneeled down to tie her shoelaces properly.
"are you gonna confess?"
i choked on my own saliva, "no?!"
she stood back up straight and turned to me with a confused look. "then what are you gonna talk about with him?"
"just about something.."
"the leaving thing, am i right?" she guessed.
i looked at her in shock, "how'd you know that"
"that's the only thing you've been talking about right now." she answered.
"anyways, we're gonna start practicing now. can you buy me a drink from the vending machine?" she asked.
i gave her an 'ok' sign, "no problem."
"thanks, just buy me the usual. i'll pay you back later." she said and started warming up.
man, i miss warming up like that and run
but as much as i really miss doing that, i'm determined to write now too, especially since jiwoong encouraged me.
i walked towards the nearest vending machine & pulled out my wallet.
i took out a coin and was about to insert it in the coin slot when someone did it before me.
"oh- sorry."
i looked up & met gunwook eyes.
"oh, it's okay." i said & let him buy his drink first.
"what are you gonna buy?" he asked.
"ah, i was about to buy that energy drink." i pointed at eunjoo's favorite drink.
i was about to ask why but then he bought the drink & gave it to me.
"wha-"
"it's alright." he trailed off and inserted another coin in the vending machine.
"i heard that you're planning to talk to jiwoong hyung." he said while he
scanned the drinks.

"y-yeah.." i answered.
he hummed, still looking for a drink to buy. "when?"
"later."
he snapped his head towards me, "later?"
i nodded my head as a response.
when he realized he was looking at me for too long, he quickly turned away.
i then heard him mumble something.
"..what?" i didn't make out what he mumbled.
"areyougonnaconfesstohim" he said, faster.
i blinked, still lost.
i heard him sigh and he finally bought a drink. "nevermind."
he was about to walk away but i quickly tried to stop him.
"wait, let me-"
"it's alright, you don't have to pay me back." he interrupted me & continued on his way.

"thanks for waiting for me, and sorry to keep you waiting." eunjoo thanked & apologized.
"what're you talking about, i'm gonna wait for you everyday." i said.
she chuckled, "do you have anything to do?"
i nodded.
"w-wait, really? you should've told me so-"
"like i said, i'm gonna wait for you everyday." i cut her off & chuckled.
she sighed, "what are you gonna do?"
"talk to jiwoong." i answered.
i then realized something & stopped on my tracks, "wait- what time is it?!"
i checked the time on my phone in panic.
"shoot, the café closes early today, i need to hurry." i said.
"i- just go and get your mans!" eunjoo shooed me away.
i scoffed & waved goodbye at her, "yeah, thanks."
we both then split up & walked on opposite ways.
i looked at the time and there's only five minutes left until closing time.
i have no choice then.
taking a deep breath, i ran.
i then arrived at the café and entered, almost out of breath.
"woah, haesung, are you okay?" zhanghao asked.
i quickly nodded, "where is jiwoong?" i asked.
"oh, he's about to leave." hanbin answered.
damn it, he always parks his car by the back side of the café
i ran past the two and went to the employees' room, and out the backdoor.
"jiwoong!" i called out as i saw him about to hop in his car.
he turned around and looked at me in surprise. "haesung? what are you-"
"i just wanna thank you." i blurted out.
he was confused, "i- w-what?"
"that's why.. just follow your dreams." i said.
"you can go with your parents, and make your mom and yourself happy."

i'm encouraging him to go now
..but it's for the best, i guess
he smiled at me & walked closer to pat my head, making my heart do back flips.
"do the same, okay?" he said.

i just stood in front of him, with a lump in my throat.

my foot started throbbing, but i ignored it.
"is something wrong?" jiwoong asked, worried.

i quickly bowed to him to excuse myself & turned around.
before i could walk away, jiwoong got a hold of my hand. "wait, i have-"
he was cut off when someone took his hand off of mine.
"she needs to leave." gunwook said & grabbed my wrist rather harshly.

he started walking so fast, dragging me with him.

he dragged me away from the café's grounds.

he stopped on his tracks when he realized what he just did.
"oh my god, sorry. l-let's go.. there." he then dragged me to the park nearby & let me sit down at one of the benches.
he sat down beside me, "your foot hurts like shit, right?"
"how did you.."
"i saw you run and.. i kinda followed you because i was worried." he said.
i looked at him, surprised. "worried? you're worried about me?"
he nodded & i swear i saw him smile a little.

"anyways, sorry for suddenly dragging you and probably giving more pressure on your foot." he apologized.
i just blankly stared at him.
he looked back at me, "what are you looking at?"
"i just thought that you're weird."
he furrowed his eyebrows at my statement.
"what, why?"
"you're always grumpy but now, you're like, calm." i answered.
he didn't respond immediately, and when he did, he sighed.
"i was just being immature." he said. "i was jealous."
i tilted my head to the side & was about to ask but he interrupted me.
"PLEASE DON'T ASK"
that made me more curious, "wh-"

he placed his hand over my lips and kissed the back of it.

that happened so fast that i don't even know what just happened.
"sorry." he apologized & stood up.
he then kneeled down in front of me, with his back facing me.
"hop on my back, let's go to the doctor." he said.
i hesitated, "h-huh?"
"your foot. don't act like it doesn't hurt." he answered. "just hop on, it's alright."
i gulped and did so.
"hold on tight." he said before standing up.
gunwook then carried me to the clinic.
