Max Verstappen woke up with a sense of déjà vu, the morning light revealing an unfamiliar room. As his memories flooded back, he realized he was at Gracie Nicole's place, his ex-girlfriend with whom he still harbored deep feelings.
Gracie stormed into the room, her eyes filled with a mix of anger and regret. "Max, I can't believe you talked your way back in," she exclaimed, crossing her arms.
Max attempted a playful grin, "Well, you know I've always been good at navigating tight corners." Max said with a smirk, in a way hoping it would get a reaction out of Gracie.
Gracie rolled her eyes, unamused. "This isn't a race, Max. You can't speed your way back into my life whenever you want." Gracie said with a shake to her head.
Max, undeterred, leaned in with a cheeky smile, "Come on, Gracie, we've got a history together. It's like we're on the same track."
Gracie scoffed, "I have a boyfriend now, Max. You need to respect that."Gracie said as she shook her head, slightly stepping back. "Plus you have a girlfriend, this isn't right." Gracie said.
Ignoring her plea, Max persisted, "But you can't deny the sparks between us. It's like we're back on the podium together."
Gracie's frustration grew. "Max, you need to leave. I can't keep falling for your charm only to regret it later."
Max, realizing he had pushed too far, sighed. "Alright, Gracie, I get it. I just thought maybe we could give it another shot."
But Gracie stood her ground, "No, Max. It's time for you to go. I can't let your reckless moves disrupt my life anymore." gracie spoke with a shake to her head.
With a reluctant nod, Max grabbed his belongings and headed towards the door. As he left, Gracie couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions, but she knew deep down it was the right decision.
