(Y/N) stayed in the cart as all of the Navy men, children and rest of her crew exited. She sat in a peaceful silence, really zoning out from the world around her, escaping from all of her thoughts and just listening to her heart beat thump in her chest. (Y/N) moved on to staring at her damaged hand, wrapped in bandages. She attempted at moving her fingers, but winced when pain shot up her arm from her hand. She sighed, putting out the cigar Smoker gave her, before going back to simply staring at her hand. After a few minutes, a large cloth was thrown on her, breaking (Y/N) from her trance like state. "Huh?" She pulled off the cloth, looking down at a (f/c) fuzzy coat with two fuzzy (f/c) cat ears sown on its hood. (Y/N) looked up in confusion to see Law standing in front of her.
"Put it on and get off the cart. You're going to catch a cold sitting here like this." Law irritated spoke, glaring down at (Y/N) with those cold and serious eyes she was terrified of. (Y/N) quickly looked away from Law, trembling from his gaze. "Huh? If you don't like the coat, blame your crew mate, Robin. She said you would like it."
"No... it's.. it's not the coat." (Y/N) stood up, taking off her cap and letting down her hair before pulling the (f/c) coat over her and placing the hood on her head. She rubbed her rosy pink nose, trying not to sneeze from the cold. "It's just..." (Y/N) locked eyes with Law, nervous fear clear in her eyes. "I'm sorry."
Law's eyes softened, relaxing (Y/N) a bit as he looked at her with more confusion and concern. "What are you apologizing for?"
"You, uh... share the same gaze as Sengoku sometimes." (Y/N) anxiously played with her long (h/c) hair with her uninjured hand as Law 'huh'ed her words. "I don't blame you for it, it's not something you can control. Honestly, I need to get over it myself and stop freaking out about it. But..." She dropped her hand, looked down with sadness in her eyes.
"I should be the one apologizing to you." Law softly spoke making (Y/N) look up at him in confusion. "I've been meaning to tell you this since I saw you, but couldn't find the time or place." He sighed. "You had one other older cousin that died 10 years ago."
Shock ran across (Y/N)'s face. "Really? Did you know him? Was he like Dofla—"
"Not at all." Law quickly cut (Y/N) off. "He was a great man. You remind me a lot of him, and I know he would have loved to meet you."
(Y/N) softly smiled at the thought. "That's nice to hear. What was his name?"
"Corazon." Law smiled, looking up at the sky. "That great man saved my life, when I was young. He's the reason I keep living. I do it all for him." (Y/N) smiled. 'Corazon, huh? I'm glad one of my family members was a good one. I wish I could have met him. Law seems to respect him a lot. Just by the way he talks about him... It's beautiful.' Law looked back down at (Y/N), sighing off his thoughts about his dear friend. "But... He was also like a son to your father."
Disgust and shock ran across (Y/N)'s face from Law's words. "Like... a son?"
Law looked away from (Y/N), slightly frowning from her reaction. "I'm sorry, but it's true. I found out, Sengoku raised Corazon like his own son. Even before you were born."
(Y/N) bawled up her uninjured hand into a fist, tears whelming in her eyes. "I see... I don't know if I can ever face Sengoku again."
"And if you have to?" Law questioned back.
"I refuse." (Y/N) felt her nails dig into her palm from her clenching her hand so tightly. Blood began to drip down from her palm, hitting the floor of the cart. A few moments passed of silence between the two, the sounds of (Y/N)'s blood dripping echo'ed until Law finally grabbed her hand, pulling out a small roll of bandages and began patching her up. (Y/N) didn't bother pulling away as a few tears fell from her (e/c) colored eyes. "How... How could he? He left me for another person I never got the chance of meeting? I wonder if he even told my mother about him... I don't blame Corazon, I blame Sengoku. He left his biological daughter, never even bothering to return for her. The pain I went through, he could have saved me. But no. I had to suffer alone. I know everyone goes through their own battles, but he could have prevented mine if he just tired a little harder. Why, Law? Just... why?"
Law allowed (Y/N) to vent, finishing wrapping up her hand before pulling her into a hug. (Y/N)'s eyes widened in shock, but her eyes soon softened and she accepted Law's embrace, trying her best not to cry. Law huffed. "I never do this for anyone, and this is the only time I will ever 'hug' you, so don't expect it anymore. Got it?"
(Y/N) pulled away from Law, whipping away the tears nearly coming from her eyes. "I'm never this emotional in-front of people I'm barely getting to know, so don't expect it too much. But I will get more hugs out of you because I like hugs. 'Kay?" (Y/N) wore a small smile, clearly attempting to cover her sadness. She poked Law's shoulder with her now bandaged hand, snickering.
Law grabbed (Y/N)'s hand, squeezing it tightly. "Matter of fact, don't ever touch me again."
"Ow, ow! You just bandaged it, now you're gonna to hurt it?! Pick a lane, doc!" (Y/N) winced, pulling her hand away from Law's.
Law rolled his eyes. "That's all I wanted to say. Now, come with me." He began walking away towards the ladder of the cart.
"Wait, Law." (Y/N) called out, making Law halt in his tracks. "I remember, you said you had some questions for me back when you took my heart. What were they? You can ask them now, if you would like."
"I already have my answers." Law began walking again. "Now, c'mon. We're wasting daylight."
(Y/N) shrugged, flying up and out of the cart. She landed back on the ground, looking back at Law when he climbed down the ladder. Law looked back up at the cart for a few moments. (Y/N) tilted her head in confusion. "Uh, Law. You waiting for something?"
Law quickly turned, jumping back a bit like a frightened cat making (Y/N) bust out laughing. Law irritated walked up to (Y/N), pushing her head forward and down as the walked towards the SAD ship. "How did you do that?" He irritated questioned.
(Y/N) was still laughing, stumbling as she tried to walk in the awkward position Law put her in. "I can fly with my Air-Air Fruit. Don't you remember back at Marineford when I was flying next to Buggy?"
"Oh, so that annoying brat in the sky was you?" Law pushed (Y/N) forward.
(Y/N) stumbled a bit, but shot back up. Her smile quickly dropped as she glared back at Law. "I know you didn't just call me an 'annoying brat'! I bet I'm older than you, child."
"Oh, calling me a 'child' now, are we?" Law sassed back with a smirk. "26."
"Damn it. We're the same age." (Y/N) slouched in defeat.
"I'm surprised, especially for someone that acts so immature." Law lightly chuckled.
"Shut it, child." (Y/N) crossed her arms. "I'll have you know I'm one of the mature ones on my crew."
"Okay, brat. Let's go." Law walked past her, boarding the SAD ship. (Y/N)'s jaw slightly dropped. 'I think I'm gonna kill him.' She hovered behind Law as he spoke to Chopper about where the kids were.
(Y/N) gave Chopper, Usopp and Robin a peace sign as she floated passed them, going to the back of the ship with Law. "Any idea why she's going with 'em?" Usopp questioned as he watched (Y/N) with a bored expression on his face.
"Nope." Chopper replied, also with a bored expression. He quickly shouted. "Wait a minute, (Y/N)! You're supposed to be resting!"
(Y/N) stuck out her tongue, pulling down her bottom eyelid with her less injured hand. "Blehhh."
"Huh? When did that hand get hurt?! (Y/N)!" Chopper irritated shouted making (Y/N) nervously sweat.
(Y/N) put her hands up in defense. "Uh, Chopper, I can explain. You see—" (Y/N) was cut off when Chopper jumped on her face, irritatedly yelling at her to stop moving around and rest. (Y/N) struggled to pull Chopper off her, but Robin helped and plucked Chopper off (Y/N)'s face. (Y/N) huffed, landing back on the ground. "Thanks Robin."
Robin giggled. "Chopper, you're going to hurt her more if you attack her like that."
"Maybe she'll learn to listen to her doctor." Chopper huffed, crossing his arms and whipping his head away from (Y/N) in annoyance.
'Sassy Chopper. Woah.' (Y/N) stared at Chopper in shock before blinking a few times. She sighed. "Oi, Law, I'll have to catch up with you later..." (Y/N) looked towards her right, but noticed Law was gone already.
"He already walked off while Chopper was attacking you." Usopp calmly explained before picking up two hand fans. "I'm going to go help Franky fix the mast. Talk to you guys later!" Usopp waved Robin, Chopper and (Y/N) off with the hand fans as he ran off to Franky.
(Y/N) was still looking towards where Law walked off in. 'He asked me to come with him, but he just left me? Huh. That's odd.' (Y/N) lightly sighed, looking back at Robin still hopping Chopper up by his face. "I wish Law would open up more with everyone. He seems so nice when it's just us two, but goes back to his cold demeanor around others."
"Perhaps he's just socially awkward?" Robin questioned, lightly tilting her head.
(Y/N) giggled at Robin's grey fuzzy coat with dog ears on its hood. "That coat is adorable on you, Robin."
Robin smiled. "Thank you. I quite like yours. The cat ears really suits you."
"Yeah, but it's kinda embarrassing to wear something so 'cutesy'." (Y/N) lightly blushed, holding down the cat ears.
"'Cutesy' or not, Doctor's Orders: Go sit down and rest!" Chopper spoke through his squished mouth, pointing at (Y/N).
(Y/N) dropped her arms, slouching a bit over in defeat. "Fine..." Sanji and Brook walked between the three, carrying stacks of bricks towards the ramp of the ship. (Y/N) looked up in confusion. "Where are you two going?"
Brook turned to (Y/N). "Oh, I'm helping Sanji move these down to the island. I'm not really sure what he—"
Brook was cut off by Sanji's nose spitting blood out like a geyser. "(Y/N)~swan with kitten ears?!" He threw the bricks he was carrying up in the air, falling backwards with hearts in his ears.
The bricks set their sights straight on a few island soldiers and Nami, who was speaking to two children that haven't made it to the back of the ship yet. (Y/N) held up her hand, halting all the bricks in the air. Nami looked up at the frozen in air bricks, still shielding the children with her body. She quickly turned to the love-sick cook and Brook. "Don't throw bricks around like this is some kind of battleground! There are children here!"
(Y/N) began commanding the air to take the bricks down to the island and gently stack on top of each other. The children, island soldiers, and even the marines, 'wow'ed the sight. (Y/N) wore a bored expression in her face. "It's not that amazing. Chill."
"You saved us and those kids!" An island soldier cheered, another joined in. "Don't forget that orange haired woman! She really could have gotten hurt!"
"They're right. Thanks (Y/N)." Nami brightly smiled at (Y/N).
(Y/N)'s heart skipped a beat as blush ran across her face. "She's so beautiful~" (Y/N) clutched her chest, falling backwards on the deck.
"Stop getting hurt!!" Chopper shouted, rushing up to (Y/N). The scene made Brook and Robin chuckle.
After Sanji and (Y/N) physically and mentally recovered, (Y/N) convinced Chopper to let her help Sanji and Brook with whatever Sanji was planning. Chopper allowed (Y/N) since she would only use her devil fruit to pass bricks to Sanji and Brook, this is what (Y/N) was doing now. She floated around the her two crew mates, building what looked like a fire pit, as she commanded a steady line of bricks in the air to the two men. (Y/N) wore a bored expression on her face as a marine shouted. "Listen up, ya pirate scum!" A second marine pointed back at the SAD ship. "The tanker is yer territory and ya better stay on it!" A third marine joined in, pointing on the black line the G-5 painted on the ground. "This line here is a division between good and evil! So don't you even dare think of crossin' over! Them's the rules to live by, Straw Hats!" The Marines roared in cheers and shouts.
(Y/N) ignored the Navy, floating over to Sanji. "My prince?"
"Yes, my princess?" Sanji turned to (Y/N), turning tomato red when she was only a few inches away from him.
(Y/N) stared into Sanji's eyes, as if she was in a trance. 'He looks so adorable when he's flustered. I just want to hold him and love on him... Wait, he's always blushing, why are you seeing it as cute now?! And you'll kill him with nosebleeds if you love on him!' (Y/N) blinked a few times, finally realizing how close she was to Sanji. She blushed, turning away from Sanji and pulling her hood tighter around her face. "Ah! I'm sorry!! I just wanted to ask for a cig, if you had one!"
Sanji cleared his throat making (Y/N) look back at him in awe. 'He's not freaking out with a nosebleed or something? This is new.' Sanji was looking away from (Y/N), but pulled out his cig carton and held one out for (Y/N). "Yeah. Here you go. I'm surprised you didn't steal the one I was already smoking."
"I'm a thief only when I wanna be." (Y/N) sassed with a smile, turning back to Sanji. She took the cig after Sanji lit it for her and smoked it slowly.
"What's on your mind?" Sanji questioned up at the (h/c) haired woman hovering on her back over him.
(Y/N) allowed smoke to leave her mouth as she calmly spoke. "Family stuff."
"Family? Isn't that what you call us? Did we upset you?" Brook questioned, making (Y/N) look down at him.
"You guys can't upset me for too long." (Y/N) laughed, but her smile softened. "It's not you guys this time... I've just been thinking about my father." (Y/N) tilted her head back, looking up at the lightly snowing sky above. "He's becoming more and more of a pain in my ass, and I barely even spoken to the man."
Sanji chuckled. "He was the Fleet Admiral, and he's still a marine now, so I can see why it's hard to talk to him."
"Yeah..." (Y/N) smile slowly faded, but she kept looking up at the snow. 'I wish that was the only reason. Truth is, I'm terrified to talk to him. I can only imagine what he thinks of me, what he'll say to me. I never wanted to disappoint him growing up, but look at me now. I'm sure he's ashamed I'm even his daughter.' (Y/N) sighed, looking back down at her crew mates.
Sanji was relighting his cig as Brook placed down another brick. "By the way, you want to tell me exactly what I'm helping ya build here?"
Sanji blew out the smoke in his mouth. "A fire pit."
Brook took a few steps back inside the pit. "Rather massive though."
"It's for a massive amount of people." Sanji quickly explained, pointing up at the SAD ship. "I've gotta use a big pot, so I need a big fire pit."
Brook laughed. "Oh, I see." He looked over at the statue propped up on a rock. "Poor, poor Kin'emon! It's unbearable to see you in such an awful state!" Brook covered his orbits, sobbing. "I have to avert my eyes! Even though I don't have eyes to avert!"
(Y/N) flew over in front of the solidified Kin'emon. "Woah, so this is Kin'emon? I thought it was just some statue you were dragging along, Brook. What happened to him?" (Y/N) tapping on Kin'emon's head a couple times.
"Ah! (Y/N), don't break him!" Brook quickly shouted, holding up his hands in defense. "He got caught up in the smoke and this happened to him." Brook went back to sobbing. "I tried to save him, but it was too late!"
(Y/N) wore a bored expression on her face. "He lived as an idiot, and died as an idiot. RIP farting-samurai." (Y/N) held her hands together, bowing to the statue.
"Don't be so cruel!" Brook quickly scolded.
Sanji shook his head, smiling at (Y/N). "Could you pass me another brick?"
"Sure!" (Y/N) landed on the ground, picking up a brick and handing it to Sanji.
"Don't let Chopper catch you breaking your agreement." Sanji winked as he placed the brick on the fire pit.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes, giggling. "He's gotta learn to let me heal in my own way. If I lay around all day, the pain will be all I can think about." (Y/N) picked up another brick, handing it to Sanji as she spoke. "Working keeps my mind busy."
"I can respect that." Sanji placed the next brick on the fire pit. "But I would still like to see you healed, and not all bandaged up."
"I agree!" Brook held up his index finger to (Y/N), spooking her a bit. "We see you wrapped in bandages, more than we like to admit. It's rather concerning how much damage you put on your body."
"What doesn't kill you makes you stronger?" (Y/N) sheepishly spoke, awkwardly smiling at her skeleton.
Brook shook his head, stepping out of the fire pit as he spoke. "I am not against you strengthening yourself. I am against you believing you have to throw yourself in harms way to protect us. You do know we can protect ourselves, don't you?"
"Of course I do. But..." (Y/N) sighed, hanging her head. "It's like.. I can't stop myself, no matter how hard I try. You guys are the strongest crew I've ever met, and I know you guys have my back. I just want to have yours as well."
Brook placed his hand on (Y/N)'s head, making her look up at him. "We all ready know you do. We're your family, remember?" (Y/N)'s eyes watered and her bottom lip began to quiver. Brook gasped, holding up his hands in defense. "Oh my, I'm so sorry! Please don't cry, my dear!"
"Don't make my princess cry, you bastard!" Sanji irritated shouted at Brook, slowly raising his knee. "Oh I outta—"
(Y/N) tightly wrapped her arms around Brook, pulling him into a big hug. "Thank you. I really needed to hear that right now." She pulled away from Brook, wiping away the forming tears in her eyes. (Y/N) turned to Sanji, clasping her hands together with a big smile on her lips. "Let's finish this fire pit!"
"Yeah!" Sanji happily cheered.
(Y/N) innocently looked up when Brook petted her head. "This coat really does make her like a kitten, huh?" (Y/N) froze from his words, blush heating up her face.
"Stop petting her, you creep! That's my job!" Sanji irritatedly yelled.
"Uh, Sanji, that just makes you sound more like a creep than me." Brook calmly spoke, earning him a brick to the skull.
(Y/N) jumped back in shock when Brook fell to the ground in defeat. "Ya killed him!" She pointed down at Brook, shouting at Sanji.
"He was already dead." Sanji sassed back, placing another brick on the fire pit. A few seconds of silence passed before the two busted out laughing.
Brook held the bump on his head, slowly standing up. "Children are cruel..."
The three went back to working on the fire pit shorty after. (Y/N) looked up at the SAD ship when she heard Chopper's frantic screaming. 'Oh shit.' She dropped the brick she was holding, innocently whistling and scooting away from the pit. "He's going to read you clear as day." Sanji calmly spoke.
"Shhhh! What he doesn't know, won't kill 'em!" (Y/N) whisper yelled, making Sanji chuckle. "Let's just hope he didn't see me."
"Luffy!!" Chopper shouted as he hung over the ship's railing. 'Oh, I guess I'm in the clear.' (Y/N) sighed in relief. 'But why is he so panicked?' Chopper began desperately shouting again. "Y-You've gotta stop him, hurry!"
"Stop what?" Luffy questioned back from where he stood, in front of Brownbeard.
"Muh, muh, muh, muh, muh, muh, muh..." Chopper struggled to speak before finally shouting. "He's committing murder!!"
"What? Who's a murderer?" Brook turned around, looking up in confusion. (Y/N) watched, in slow motion, as Brook accidentally knocked over the solidified Kin'emon. "Oh..." Brook's jaw dropped when Kin'emon crashed into pieces on the ground. He grunted, dropping the brick in his hand, grabbing his skull and he screamed in utter shock. "Now I'm a murderer, too!"
(Y/N) busted out laughing, clutching her stomach and she cried tears of joy. Brook continued his screaming and crying making Luffy question. "What's so funny, (Y/N)? And why's Brook freakin' out?"
Brook gasped through his screamed. "I also committed a murder! I mean, Kin'emon was already dead, but I— I shattered his body!"
Luffy and Sanji screamed in total shock making (Y/N) fall on her back and laugh even harder. "He's dead and you shattered him?!" Luffy and Sanji shouted in disbelief.
"You killed him again!" Luffy shouted before pulling up the cry-laughing (Y/N). "Why are you laughing? This is funny, ya know!"
"B-But 'Capt!" (Y/N) wiped a joyful tear away. "You should have seen Brook's face!" She busted out laughing again making Luffy grow more irritated.
"Wh-Wh—What do I do to fix him?!" Brook cried out.
"What do you mean 'fix him'?" Sanji sassed back. "He was already dead before you broke him!"
"What if we glue him back together?!" Luffy questioned in desperation.
"How are you two not getting that he's dead?!" Sanji snapped back.
(Y/N) held up her hand to the boys, catching her breath. "Just... wait a second, you guys!" She giggled, looking back at Kin'emon's face cracking.
Kin'emon shot up, making the four boys scream at each other in shock. Sanji delivered a swift kick to Kin'emon's face. "You're supposed to be dead!"
Brook clutched his skull. "Why are you attacking him, Sanji?!"
"Why wouldn't I?!" Sanji snapped back, pointing down at Kin'emon. "We were just discussing how he's dead and now he's not!!"
"You should be happy about it, not kicking him!" Brook quickly scolded.
"It was a reflex. Geez, sorry." Sanji spoke, calming down.
"Well, it is a surprise." Brook looked down at (Y/N). "Wait, did you know he was still alive?"
"Yeah. I thought it was a cursed statue since I felt a life force coming from it, that's why I stayed away from it. But you said it was Kin'emon, so I was just trying to figure out how to get that stuff off him." (Y/N) calmly explained before trying not to laugh. "But you..." She busted out laughing again. "I would have told you guys sooner, but that reaction was priceless!"
"You're so mean!" Brook and Luffy shouted back at the laughing (h/c) haired woman.
(Y/N) hovered over Kin'emon as he sat up. "So... how are you feeling, farting-samurai? Aside from the kick to your face." (Y/N) snickered.
"That was nothing, but a mere scratch, feline woman." Kin'emon replied, rubbing his face.
"I'm not a damn cat! I should take this damn thing off." (Y/N) crossed her arms, pouting.
"No, please don't!" Sanji desperately begged making (Y/N) roll her eyes.
Brook sighed, squatting down to Kin'emon. "I'm so utterly relieved, Kin'emon. I thought you were... 'gone for good'."
"Father!!" Someone shouted out making (Y/N) look over at a cloud of orange smoke. 'Huh?'
The smoke cleared, revealing an undressed boy. "Mo—" Kin'emon gasped. "Momonosuke!"
Momonosuke struggled not to cry. "You're alive!"
(Y/N) looked back and forth between Kin'emon and Momonosuke until Kin'emon shot up and ran to his son. They yelled for each other before finally embarrassing, both sobbing. "I feared that I would never see you again!" Kin'emon cried out, holding his son tighter.
"And I thought you were dead!" Momonosuke sobbed even harder.
"Huh? That kid's Momo?" Luffy tilted his head. "Oh, yeah, he said somethin' about bein' a human once."
"So that tiny dragon was the child Kin'emon had been searching for and now they're finally reunited." Brook happily spoke.
"Aw. That's honestly so sweet." (Y/N) smiled at the two in front of her.
Kin'emon looking back at the Straw Hats behind him and nodded. He looked back at his son. "Uh? He is not normally this naked though."
"Huh?" Momo looking down, gasping in shock from his lack of clothing.
Kin'emon found a small rock and placed it on Momo's head. "And poof!" Pink smoke appeared around Momo before revealing a rather cute kimono. "This kimono suits you quite splendidly! Just like a true son of Wano!" Kin'emon happily spoke with a laugh.
Momo looked up from his new clothings. "Tell me, Father. How did you know that I... was..." A rumbling was heard from Momo before he fell over in exhaustion.
"Huh? Momonosuke!" Kin'emon reached over Momo. "What is the matter, my son?"
Momo, clearly in distress, struggled to speak. "I-It's nothing... I promise I'm not hungry."
Kin'emon grunted. "Momonosuke?"
"Geez. Even his kid is stubborn." (Y/N) muttered to herself.
"(Y/N), get over here. Now." Law shouted from the SAD ship making (Y/N) look up in confusion.
"Any idea what he wants?" (Y/N) looked over at Sanji, Luffy and Brook.
Brook and Luffy shrugged as Sanji irritatedly looked up at Law. "I don't know, but he better learn how to speak to a lady. Or I'll beat some manners into him!"
"We don't have all day. Hurry up." Law irritated spoke, glaring down at (Y/N).
(Y/N) shrugged and walked back to the SAD ship, waving her crew mates off. "What's up?" She questioned as she approached Law.
"Follow me, and don't get distracted this time." Law sassed, walking back towards the ship. (Y/N) peaked into the large open door, seeing Chopper happily speaking with the children. 'I'm glad to see the kids are okay.' (Y/N) softly smiled at the happy children, waving at the few that spotted her. "You're not getting distracted, are you?" Law questioned making (Y/N)'s body jolt.
(Y/N) quickly caught up to Law. "Where are we going?"
Law walked into a small storage room, allowing (Y/N) to come inside before closing the door behind them. "Remove your clothing."
Bright blush heated up (Y/N)'s face. "What...?" She quickly snapped, holding up her fist to Law. "I will not hesitate to punch you if you think you're gonna get any—"
"That's not what I meant." Law tightly closed his eyes as light blush kissed his face. He sighed. "I'm going to extract the drugs from your body. It's easier if you don't have so much clothing on."
"Oh." (Y/N) rolled her eyes. "You could have led with that."
Law huffed. "I realized my stupidity."
"At least you admit it." (Y/N) sassed as she began removing her clothing. Law stared at (Y/N), slightly dropping his jaw. "What? I thought my body wasn't too bad looking." (Y/N) frowned, scratching the side of her face. 'Shakky's nearly-daily compliments really grew my body confidence, too. Maybe she was hyping me up too much?'
"It's not your... 'features' that's the problem." Law looked away, still blushing.
(Y/N) tilted her head in confusion before looking down at her body. She tranced the red marks from Vergo's bamboo across her chest and stomach. "I see. Hey, those will heal. I've... gotten worse in my life." (Y/N) nervously chuckled, rubbing the back of her neck.
"From who?" Law questioned making (Y/N) look up at him with slight shock. "If.. you don't mind me asking."
(Y/N) shook her head, looking down. "I don't mind. I really don't share this with many, but I'll place my trust in you." She softly sighed. "My mother wasn't the best when she was off her meds. She would become hostile, she burned with anger towards my father leaving her. Not just by herself, but with me. So.. she would take her anger out on me. So many times, I felt like I was on the verge of death from her beatings. So many times... I pleaded for death. Instead of granting my wish, she would kick me out of the house for serval days. Sometimes even months. As much as I hated it, I can honestly thank her. Without those dreadful days, I would have never learned to survive on my own. Sadly, it wasn't the end. I ended up being kidnapped by some pretty scumbag pirates. And, well, I'm sure you can get the idea."
Law nodded. "I understand."
Silence filled the room for a few moments before (Y/N) broke it with a deep sigh. "Okay! Enough sappy talk, let's get these drugs out of me already. Right?"
"It angers me." Law sternly spoke.
"Huh?" (Y/N) shook her head. "It's not like we can change the past. Plus, I'm just your ally. There's no need to find pity for me." She spoke with a smile, but it slowly dropped when Law lock eyes with her.
Law held out his hand. "Room." A bubble appeared around (Y/N) and Law. 'I guess he's starting now?' (Y/N) furrowed her eyebrows in confusion when Law held her heart in his hand. Law looked down at (Y/N)'s pulsating heart for a few seconds before speaking. "Every heart has a pain, only the way of expression is different. Some hide it in their eyes. While others..." Law looked up at (Y/N). "...hide it in their smile."
(Y/N) was awestruck from Law's words. "I... Are you saying I'm in pain? Well, physical, of course. And there's the thing with my dad, but with my mother? No. I've gotten over it. And Artie and his men? That's long gone history now! So don't get all sentimental with me or anything." (Y/N) laughed, but quickly covered her mouth with her less injured hand. She looked up at Law in shock. (Y/N)'s heart disappeared from Law's hand and back into her chest. (Y/N) dropped her hand. "Damn. I never thought I would get life lessons from a man wearing a silly hat."
"Shut it." Law snapped back, rolling his eyes. "If you want a life lesson, I can only tell you to learn to get over it. It's difficult, but you'll feel much better then you let your past go. Focus on the future, no matter what it holds. Understood?"
(Y/N) nodded. "Loud and clear." She closed her eyes, sighing. "Thank you. I'm getting a lot of good advice today, but it'll take some time to become accustomed to everything. I'll do my best!" (Y/N) smiled up at Law.
Law nodded. "Now, don't scream."
"Ya know. When someone usually says that, I—" (Y/N)'s eyes widened at the sight of her whole body being sliced into pieces. On that day, (Y/N) most definitely screamed.
(Y/N) stumbled out on the SAD ship's deck, looking absolutely distraught. "Woah. What's up with you, little lady?" Franky questioned, waking up to (Y/N).
"Frankyyyy!" (Y/N) cried out, latching onto him. "Law is so cruel!"
"What?" Franky lifted his arms up, staring at the sobbing (h/c) haired woman in confusion.
(Y/N) sniffed the air. "Ooo~ I'm starving." She drooled, hopping off Franky to look over the railing on the SAD ship at her chef at work.
"Her mood completely changed when she smelt Sanji's cooking, huh?" Usopp questioned, walking up besides Franky.
"(Y/N), was that your scream we heard earlier?" Nami questioned, standing besides Usopp.
(Y/N) slowly turned to the three behind her. "You guys heard that?"
"Yep." Usopp and Franky nodded their heads in agreement.
(Y/N) slowly fell to the deck, curling up into a ball and crying. "I don't wanna eat anymore."
"Huh?! Now she doesn't want to eat?!" Usopp and Franky shouted in shock.
Nami shook her head. "It wasn't that embarrassing. Hop up and head out with the others, (Y/N)."
"Just leave me here for the vultures. I can never face anyone again after something like that." (Y/N) dramatically whined making Usopp and Franky sigh in defeat.
Zoro walked in between his crew mates, but halted when he saw the sulking (h/c) haired woman on the floor. "Oh no, ya don't. You need something to eat more than any of us. C'mon." He grabbed (Y/N)'s hand and dragged her off the ship.
(Y/N) looked up at the giant-sized children walking up to the large group of Navy men, island soldiers and pirates, holding their bowls. 'I bet everyone here is hungry, not just me. I'm glad we have Sanji as our chef.' (Y/N) stood up, walking behind Zoro as Sanji sassed the G-5 marines. "What happened to your sacred boundary between good and evil, ya jerks?"
"We're calling for a ceasefire!" The two marines facepalmed, awkwardly laughing.
"Well. If that's the case, fetch the booze from the tanker." Zoro pointed back at the SAD ship.
"We're on it!" The marine's cheered. A young boy added in. "And some juice!"
(Y/N) looked over at Law as he spoke up. "We need to talk, Straw Hat." Luffy approached Law and (Y/N) easily eavesdropped on their conversation. "There's no time to stick around and eat. They're gonna be right on our tail. We've gotta leave now." Law sternly spoke.
"That bad, huh?" Luffy questioned.
Law nodded. "Tell your crew we've gotta ship out."
"All right, I'll let 'em know." Luffy sternly replied. (Y/N) wore a bored expression on her face. 'Why do I feel like we're gonna eat first?' Luffy walked up to a crate, standing on top of it. "Listen up, guys."
"Huh?" G-5 and the children questioned.
"We got trouble headin' our way. We're outta time." Luffy sternly spoke before grinning from ear to ear. "So party fast and hard! Dig in and get down!" He throw his fist in the air making everyone hold up their food and drinks, cheering for his words.
(Y/N) happily smiled, watching her crew party. After a while of eating and drinking, (Y/N) looked over at Smoker and Law. She noticed how they were sitting with the line divided 'good and evil' split between them. (Y/N) grabbed three mugs of booze, walking along the line straight towards the two. She placed a mug next to Smoker and one next to Law before sitting down on the ground, directly on the line. (Y/N) felt the gaze of both men on her, but she happily chugged down her booze. When she was done, she slammed the mug on the line in front of her, happily sighing. "Whatever is done for love always occurs beyond good and evil. Some random quote I read in a book once. Corny, right? That's what I thought too. But really think about it. Not every good deed is seen as 'good', same as evil deeds being seen as 'evil', yet that's the battle we face every day."
"What are you trying to get at?" Smoker questioned, sipping the booze (Y/N) brought him.
"Who knows? I'm just a drunk woman rambling over nonsense." (Y/N) smiled, eyeing over at Smoker then at Law. "Then again, is it truly 'nonsense'? That's for you to decide." (Y/N) hopped to her feet. "You got your booze, so don't tell me I never gave you anything! See you at the party, loners!" She laughed, waving the two off as she held her empty mug in the air. "Hey, Zoro! Round two on that drinking contest?!"
"Hell yeah! Get over here so I can beat ya again!" Zoro cheered back, holding his mug in the air.
(Y/N) tilted her head up, happily laughing. She raised her arms in the air, exclaiming. "Time to party!!"
