"hey, what's up!" you arrived at akaashi's little table at the sushi bar just 5 minutes away from your campus. you gave him a little dap as you sat down and made yourself comfortable.
akaashi smiled and rolled his eyes, "took you long enough," he laughed and shoved you the menu, "i already ordered a few things so pick what you want."
you took the menu and raised a brow, "what'd ya order?"
"a lot of sashimi and a cajun tuna roll, for now."
you shut the menu dramatically, "good enough for me! for now, anyway." akaashi chuckled at your easygoing manner.
it's true that the whole entire hq uni volleyball team was at a table just a few feet away from you. you tried not looking at them or get suna's attention since you were here to hang out with akaashi. that'd be very rude in your opinion.
you and the male just talked about classes this quarter so far. when the sushi started rolling in, it was actually insane how quick akaashi can down a salmon roll. you kinda just looked at him with a weird look depicted on your face as you were eating the cajun tuna roll at a normal pace.
"you're gonna choke..." you said with a disgusted face.
akaashi had chubby cheeks due to the food, "it's good! here, try the salmon—"
his sentence was immediately cut off by a loud fit of laughter roaring from the volleyball table. you chuckled at first before turning your head around to see them all laughing, quite annoyingly, to be honest. it wasn't even the boys who got on your nerves, it's that hana girl. she's shrieking very loudly just to obviously get suna's attention and he's milking it all up! pick me girl.
you turned your head back to akaashi before he widened his eyes and jerked his chin towards the table again. your brows rose and looked again.
this time, it was hana's chin on suna's shoulder as she is just chuckling and laughing at his probably weak joke. you physically cringed as they all started to walk out of their table, hana still clinging on to your friend like a leech.
and suna? why is he smiling like he is enjoying it? fucking gross.
however, the players and hana passed yours and akaashi's table. bokuto stopped by to ruffle akaashi's hair, annoy him, and say hi. they talked for like 2 minutes before he had to leave.
suna widened his eyes as he saw your figure across bokuto's and akaashi's. the brunette waved his hand excitedly but you were still weirded out because of the whole hana debacle. thus, you smiled at him kinda awkwardly and went back to your sushi on the plate.
you didn't see this but suna was somewhat taken aback from your greeting. usually, you'd say hi to him or even come up to him and start up a small conversation. suna thought you were just enjoying the sushi to the point where you didn't wanna get up from the chair.
