The two of them kept walking around
Meanwhile:
Ren, Tohka and Shido were at school at the moment. Tonomachi was talking about his virtual girlfriend while Ren was wondering how he could find what was holding the Throne from expanding its dominion. Whatever, now it was time for lunch and even if he doesn't need to eat, he brought lunch with himself
Tohka: hey Ren! Let's have lunch together!
She sat near Ren as Origami did the same on the opposite side as Tohka glared at her

Origami: I was about to ask you the same thing

They both complied but they were still glaring at each other
Then Tonomachi approached them

Origami stared at the son of Mercurius as she had an idea. Tohka meanwhile was thinking of a way to keep Origami away from Ren

Ren: yes Tohka?
Tohka: do you want to go on another date this weekend?
Ren: su-
Origami: he can't because he already decided to go on a date with me
Tohka: no he is not! You're making that up! Right Ren?
The leader of the Yatsukahagi was about to speak but Origami covered her mouth to make her voice deeper
Origami: yes it's true. I'm going out with Origami to get away from you
Tohka: what?!?! No that can't be true!!!
Ren: Tohka that was Origami trying to sound like me, not me
Tohka: you witch! You tricked me!
Then she looked at Ren

Origami was silent for a moment until she decided to answer back
Origami: alright but at one condition

Origami then turned to Ren
Origami: can you come with me Ren? I want to talk to you in private

So the two of them got out the classroom. Tohka didn't like what she had in mind so she followed them quietly
Ren: so what do you want?
Origami: I won't interfere with your date but you need to tell me something first
Ren: what is it?
Origami: I want you to explain me better how does your power works
Ren: but I thought I did
Origami: when you fought that demon, I saw him dying after that scythe cutted his head and his body was not physical. I want you to explain how
Ren: you really want to know the secret behind Die Ewigkeit?
She nodded
Ren: very well.
On the Fraxinus Kotori was listening at their conversation too cause she too wanted to know the secret behind Ren's power despite Ren told them almost everything
Ren: Tohka it's useless for you to hide, I can sense you
Tohka: you knew I was here?
Ren: I had a feeling you would follow us + my five senses are boosted beyond human limit
Ren: honestly I don't say it more than once, but for this time I'll make an exception. The secret of my power is souls
Them: souls?
Kotori on the Fraxinus: souls?
Ren: as I surely explained you, Die Ewigkeit is a sorcery that makes the user stronger the more souls he gets. While about how the demon died once I beheaded him; my Ahnenerbe has the power to ignore every ability of someone and giving them permanent death if it strikes their necks
Not knowing someone else outside and far away was listening to him
They were speechless as they didn't know what to say
Kotori on the Fraxinus: SO FULL OF CRAP!! THERE IS NOT A POWER LIKE THAT!!!
Tohka: Ren don't make jokes like that. There is not such power
Ren: I'm not joking tho. But if you won't believe it's fine, facts aren't a question of faith
Origami: in that case I'll believe you
Origami hugged his arm as she understood she could not use what he uses
Ren: you do?
Origami: og course. I don't think you are lying
She looked back at Tohka
Origami: I wouldn't expect a spirit to believe it
This annoyed Tohka as she hugged Ren's other arm
Tohka: I believe you too! You would never lie to me
Ren: alright then
A spatial quake alarm went off again
Origami: I have to go
Ren: alright see ya
Origami left leaving the Hegemony God and Tohka alone
Ren: another spirit?
Kotori: 'head to the roof. We'll pick Shido and you up with the Fraxinus and then we will explain what we will do'
Ren: alright. Well I got to go Tohka
Tohka: where are you going Ren?

Ren and Shido entered in the bridge where Kotori was waiting for them
Kotori: there you are. Here what you missed
She showed the screen and in the middle of a crater there was the next spirit. This time it didn't look like a teenager but instead as a child. A girl with blue hairs
Ren: a child I see
Kotori: she may look like a child but she is older than you might think
Ren: *cough*
Kotori: yes, except for you
Kannazuki: the size of the crater seems average for Hermit
Shido: Hermit?
Kotori: that's the name of the spirit that appeared. She is well known for being more docile than the other spirits we've seen
The screen then zoomed in to show the spirit
Shido: hold on, I've already met her
Kotori: when and where
Shido: I met her at the Shrine two nights ago
Kannazuki: we've been tracking her for a few days now
Ren: so who's going to seal her between me and Shido
Kotori: Shido will handle that
Shido: right. I want to save her before AST comes to fight her
Kotori then looked at the son of Mercurius
Kotori: I also have a job for you Ren. I want you to make sure no one interferes
Ren: I got this
Then they leave the bridge and goes back to the city
Kotori: alright, it's time for another date

Ren was walking around the city to see if the AST would come, but somehow they were still not there. Until he heard the sound of someone falling from the sky and trying to attack him
Ren: !!
Someone tried to slash at him. But Ren activated his guillotine
And blocked it. He also heard someone else trying to attack him from behind, so he jumped high and landed behind the man that was about to fall
??: not bad kid. Not bad
He saw two people. The first was a tall muscular man with a pair of scissors

And a shorter man
Toby
Ren: Who the hell are you two?!
Kaku: my name is Kaku and I'll kill you
Toby: I'm Toby, and his mission is mine too
Ren: come on then
The two of them tried to attack Ren, the second guy was made off of blades. But Ren was blocking their attacks easily
Kaku: take this!
He swinged his scissors but Ren dodged, meanwhile Ren cutted his arm with his guillotine. Toby made the stupid mistake of attacking him from behind, which made Ren turn around and stab him with his guillotine
Toby: gah!!
Ren: my Ahnenerbe also contains a dangerous poison which will kill you. Die
And soon enough he died. But Ren wasn't able to predict another attack from Kaku. An attack that somehow was able to damage Ren even if not much, but enough to make him bleed
Kaku: we'll meet again kid
He took the dead body of his comrade and jumped away
With them:
Kaku: I did it! Now Stylish can make experiments on us to make us be able to kill them!
Stylish was talking with the giant-ears girl of before who told him about what Ren said
The dude arrived at AST base where all the members were asleep due to a sleeping drug Stylish gave them fooling them
Kaku: Dr Stylish I'm back
Stylish: amazing, so what happened to Toby?
Kaku: he is dead. But I got remnants of his blood.
He showed him the scissors with a few drips of Ren's blood. Stylish smiled evily hearing that
Stylish: amazing amazing AMAZING!!! I'm going to make experiments now!!
He said as he placed the drip of blood in a pot
Timeskip and back with Shido:
Shido was inside an empty building and it was dark
Shido: so is Hermit really here?
Kotori: 'yes she was seen in this place. There is no signal of AST yet'
Shido: why haven't they shown up yet?
Kotori: 'I don't know. I'm having Ren looking around for any suspicious activity but keep your guard up'
A few moments later he found a rabbit puppet with an eyepatch infront of him
??: what brings you here?
Shido: wha?!
He found Hermit infront of him holding the rabbit puppet
Shido waited for the crew to choose an answer and then he answered
Shido: you got to be kidding me. Excuse me, I don't know what you mean, I'm just a wandering vagabond
The puppet laughed in response
??: you're trying to make me laugh aren't you! No one talks like that
Shido: I'm glad you liked my joke. My name is Shido
He sweatdropped
Yoshinon: oh, I'm sorry how embarassing. My name is Yoshinon. Ain't it cute?! Ain't it cute?!
Shido: yeah it is. Is that your name or the name of the puppet? Do you guys shares the same name?
Yoshinon: grr
Kotori: 'Shido! Her happiness meter is going down what have you said her?!'
Shido: nothing I just asked why she talk via ventriloquism
Yoshinon: I don't know what you're talking about. What is Ventriloquism?

Ren was walking around until Kotori contacted him
Kotori: 'Ren, any new?'
Ren: someone tried to attack me but they didn't seem with AST, they were men
Kotori: 'what do you mean?'
Ren: exactly what I meant
Kotori's mind: could it be DEM?
Ren decided to go where Shido was to check what was going on
Back to Shido and Hermit
Tohka reached Shido too cause apparently someone told her that Ren was there with them. But was not there so now she was furious at Hermit and her puppet
Tohka: what have you done to Ren?!
Yoshinon: who is this Ren you speak of, angry lady?
Tohka: my name is Tohka!!
Yoshinon: I don't know who is this Ren. Maybe he got bored of you!
Tohka: no he wouldn't!!
Yoshinon: I apologize. I don't know this Ren but he would not mind playing with me I am adorable. You can't blame him for leaving you. What is he like?
Tohka: shut up! Shut up! Shut up! That's not true!
She grabbed the rabbit puppet from Hermit and held it in the air
Tohka: now where is Ren?! Tell me!! Come on talk!!
Hermit hugged on Tohka's skirt
Hermit: give it back please
Tohka: not until you tell me where is Ren
Hermit: I don't know what you're talking about
Tohka: but that scientist said-
Various monsters with red eyes that had a humanoid appearence surrounded them
Tohka: what?! What are those?! And where do they come from?!
Hermit: ZADKIEL!!
She summoned a large rabbit-shaped creature and jumped on top of it. The danger beasts began to follow her but she froze them. Tohka couldn't use her powers and dropped the puppet
Shido: Tohka!
She turned around and saw Shido and Ren
Tohka: Ren! Shido!
Ren: you guys pissed her off
Kotori: 'this is not good! She released her angel. Ren try to calm her down!'
Ren with his speed picked up the rabbit puppet. Hermit spotted it and picked it before putting it back in her hand
Yoshinon: ah good to be back!
Then
*Ka-boom*
they heard an explosion. They looked around the city and it was full of the monsters of before
And they were destroying everything
Kotori: 'what are those creepy things?! They are all around the city!!'
Ren: damn, I guess we must face them off!
Ren: Yetzirah– – Werveile doch! Du bist so schön!
Seeing it made Hermit surprised. But then, Ren felt presences, presences he didn't feel in a while
Ren's mind: oh my god... it's been so long since I saw you all, my friends...
And a smile grew on his face
