Nyla sat in the black van, waiting for the door to be opened. The group had their first music show today and they were all very nervous. All except for Nyla. She was excited more than anything. She had been waiting for this since she was eight and had decided she wanted to be an idol. She was sitting beside Jeongin who was looking out the window "there's so many people" he gaped, watching the people outside the car
Nyla looked out the window and smiled softly "yeah" she nodded, looking over at him "your hair's out of place" she said, reaching over to him and brushing through his hair with her fingers, making sure it looked nice "there" she smiled, sitting back in her chair
He smiled warmly at her "thanks, ny" he said, leaning forward to look out the window. They sat there for another minute before the staff opened the door for them to get out
The staff opened the door and helped nyla out "that way, Hye-Ji" she pointed, guiding nyla to the entrance
The girl smiled at the staff "thanks" she said, touching the staffs arm lightly before walking towards the door.
Nyla pushed her glasses further up her nose, looking forward as the cameras flashed around her 'there's so many people here' she thought to herself. She looked up and made eye contact with a group of fans within the crowd of paparazzi. The group of fans immediately started to scream and wave frantically. Nyla smiled at them which made them scream more. She looked down and chuckled to herself before walking into the building.
The nine were now sat in the dressing room. Nyla was sitting in the hair styling chair, looking at herself in the mirror. She couldn't recognise herself. She had contacts in, since she couldn't wear glasses on stage. She had makeup on as well. Makeup that made her lips red and somehow look not as full, and eye shadow and eyelashes that made her eyes look bigger. She looked pretty but not like herself. Not like Hye-Ji, but like Nyla. Like an idol.
Bang chan walked behind her, looking at her looking at herself in the mirror "you okay, Hye-Ji?" He asked, looking at her
She looked up at him "yeah" she nodded "I just- I don't know, I just look different" she shrugged, looking back into the mirror
He nodded and smiled softly "you look nice, lala" he told her, patting her head "you look grown up"
She chuckled lightly "I feel grown up" she sighed
"But not too grown up!" Changbin interrupted "you're still a kid! Remember that" he said, pointing at her
Nyla laughed and turned around in her chair "I know, bin" she smiled. The hair stylist started doing her hair, simply straightening it and then leaving it down. While they wanted nyla to fit in with the rest of the group, they also wanted her to keep her young and innocent image. And they thought keeping her hair and makeup to a minimum would help that.
After an hour of waiting to go on stage the group were called up. Backstage, as they were waiting to go on, Minho turned to nyla "you good?" He asked her. The girl was fiddling with the bottom of her hair
"Mhm" she nodded, still staring at the stage
"Really?" He questioned, watching her intensely
"Yep" she nodded, letting go of her hair and looking up at him "you?"
He smiled softly and nodded "I'm good" he told her, watching as she examined the stage. He waited a second before grabbing her hand and squeezing it "you're going to do amazing, Hye-Ji" he said assuringly
She nodded and smiled softly at the floor "I've been waiting for this moment since I was eight" she said quietly "I don't want to mess up"
He breathed deeply and looked at her fondly. Anyone watching would have thought he was her older brother by how caring he was towards her "you're not going to" he said "I know you and I know you won't. You're probably the most talented out of all of us" he smiled "just do what you always do, amaze everyone"
Nyla looked up at him and smiled "thanks, Minho" she said
He smiled warmly and nodded "anytime, lil sis" he said, patting her head. After another minute the group went onto stage.
As soon as they got into the stage Nyla felt calmer. She was in her element. She slowly breathed in and out until the lights turned on. As soon as the stage lights came on nyla transformed. Her facial expressions were on point and so was her dancing. No one could look away from the girl. Even when she was at the back of the formation everyone's eyes were on here. After the performance finished it was time for ending fairies. The camera zoomed in on nyla. She looked into the camera and put up a peace sign. The audience started screaming in response and the other members started laughing as she kept her pose.
The nine went back to their dressing room, all of them buzzing with excitement. They spent the next thirty minutes talking about the performance and how well it went. After that they went back the dorm and had dinner together, knowing tomorrow they would have to go back to practicing.
