As Annabeth got up from her seat she took a breath she didn't know she was holding in "okay, I'm gonna go get us some snacks." Percy quickly went to get up "I'll come with you." Percy said as he tried to get up.
Annabeth held his shoulder and made him sit down "No, you'll stay right there." Annabeth said
"Why it smells terrible back here." Percy questioned
"Monsters can't smell you through that so that's where I want you" annabeth responded "I wanna vote. Who thinks that we should all go get to breathe fresh air and but our own snacks" Percy said as he felt like it was unfair
"There's no voting. Chips and sodas okay for you guys" annabeth said looking at Michelle and Grover who simply just nodded
"I don't think you should just get to decide we don't vote" Percy stated while looking at annabeth
Annabeth look at the male "I'm sorry to hear that." "Okay. I wanna vote on whether you get to decide we don't vote" Percy added.
Annabeth close her eyes in frustration "Grover, please, can you help your-"
Grover starts clapping slowly making annabeth stop and look at him. Grover looks at the trio "I really don't wanna be a tie breaker.. I have a better idea" "Grover please don't-" Michelle gets cut off soon by Grover's clapping
"Oh, golly, the roads gettin' bumpy cause I got me some friends. Who just can't get along oh dear! When the team's gettin' grumpy. The trick to gettin' through it is signing this song——" Percy shook his head "dude, what are you doing" grover stopped and looked at Percy "it's the consensus song. Verse two encourages us to say nice things about each other. You get a few rounds in and you'd be amazed at how disagreements just kind of..." Grover gulped "fade away" Grover muttered
"Chips and sodas okay for you guys?" Annabeth questions getting "whatever" "yes, please"
"Our voting systems broken" Percy muttered to Michelle making her laugh at his comment

"It's true they are more likely to sense a more powerful demigod. A child of the big three, Zeus, Poseidon, and hades, is at the most extreme risk." Michelle heard Grover say when she finally started listening
"But it isn't your power exactly, that draws them. It's more complicated than that." Grover said "they smell fear" Percy questioned Michelle looked at Percy tilting her head "That's bees" Michelle said rolling her eyes
"What a monster senses kinda depends on the monster. Some are better at sensing your inadequacy. Some, your need for glory, your shame. It's important to remember that if you've ever gotta confront one... wherever your amor is weakest, that monsters probably coming right for it. Nothing will stop them, not even death." Grover said
Michelle shifted uncomfortably
"What's wrong" Grover said knowing something wrong
"Somethings here and annabeth getting information" michelle said
"I'm just not sure the song is doing what you think it is, is all" Percy said looking at Grover
"Guys, you need to open that window! Now!" Annabeth yelled at the trio who were sitting down
"I don't think these windows are supposed to- oh no" grover said looking at the monster
"Go, go, go, go, go!" Michelle yelled as she pushed Percy in front of her in a hurry
They broke the window " everyone, leave your belongings and exit the front of the bus" the bus driver said calmly
"Give me the boy and I'll leave you alone Michelle" Alecto said to Michelle in her mind
"Hell no." Michelle said
Michelle got out her pocket knife looking at the Alecto. As everyone was exiting the bus Alecto got pushed back by some passengers
Michelle smiled at the sight
"Michelle lets go" Percy and annabeth said. Fury shrieked flying into the bus chasing its head in the window leaving Michelle shocked it hissed at trio now sat on the couch trying to back away
"Hey" Michelle yelled before throwing her pocket-knife right into its heart before it screeched as it turns into ashes.
Michelle ran to get her knife back. "We're done here. Let's go" Michelle demanded before jumping out the window
Before Percy jumped out the window he grabbed the shoes that Luke gave him.

Birds chirped as the group walked "somewhere up ahead this turns into a satyr path." Grover said before Percy looked at him in confusion "what's a satyr path" "it's a road through the wilderness. Satyr explores use them. Harder to track us" percy looked at Grover as he continued walking "that's great, but if we stay in the wilderness,how are we gonna find a phone?" Michelle looked up at Percy "what do we need a phone for?" Michelle asked
"So we can call camp. T-to get help." Percy said " we don't help. We're fine." Annabeth said still walking
Percy scoffes at the girl "we're fine. We haven't even gotten to Trenton and we're wandering through a forest. I didn't know they had forests in New Jersey, but we've found one. I would say we're the opposite of fine." Annabeth chuckles "we were sent in a quest by the oracle,by the gods. What'd you think, it would be easy? It's supposed to be hard that's why only certain people are chosen. If we call camp we're basically saying it was a mistake to choose us."
Percy just shrugged "I'm completely comfortable with that. Everyone make mistakes"
Annabeth stops walking making the trio also stop
"Why are you so afraid of who you are" Michelle said Percy looked at her "what?" Percy questioned
"You know, what's interesting about this particular saytr path is it actually the in my uncle Ferdinand took when he set out in his own quest" Grover said trying to make the pair stop
"What was that supposed to mean, afraid of who u am? I'm not afraid" Percy said looking at Michelle shaking his head
"Yes, you are" annabeth said knowing Michelle didn't mean it in a bad way she was simply just asking
"You aren't just a kid. "Just a kid" doesn't do what you did to Clarisse back at camp "Just a kid" doesn't have hades sending top lieutenants to retrieve them. You know, you are a part of something so much bigger than we can understand right now wh have to move forward whether you like it or not, whether you want to or not" Annabeth explained as Michelle comforts Grover
"You don't want to call camp, fine. Then, at least let's call your mom." Percy said making Michelle's head snap towards him looking at him angrily
"Excuse me?" Annabeth said with a disgusting look on her face
"Athena? Your and Michelle's mother I'd call my father but we aren't exactly on speaking terms. You know, because of the lifelong neglect and all, but you and your mother seem close. So why don't we ask her for help" Percy said looking at Michelle and annabeth "She is not my mother Aphrodite is." Michelle said warning Percy
"Grover, will you explain to your friend that he needs to pull himself together?" Annabeth said
"You can't ask her, can you when was the last time she talked to you" Percy looked at Michelle whos head was down
"Michelle , Grover" annabeth said looking at them "I don't know why you keep pulling them into this. He's on my side." Percy yelled annabeth looked at him as Michelle looked at them both "what makes you think that" "he's my protector, it's his job." Annabeth finally got fed up "He was out protector first." "First.? What do you mean first?" Percy questioned
"Very exciting, getting to walk in uncle Ferdinand's footsteps. Next best thing to getting to talk to him again" Grover said
"You're such an asshole! Gosh leave Grover alone he didn't do anything to you sometimes you need to just be quiet. And you are afraid and you know it thats why you don't wanna answer the question! you are so rude and we don't deserve that. And just because he was a protector before he was yours doesn't mean anything and that shouldn't matter to you mind your fucking business ." Michelle yelled at Percy leaving them shocked because she's never yelled like that before
"Thalia, luke, Michelle and annabeth had a saytr protector. That was you" Percy said finally putting the puzzle pieces together
Grover sniffs "do you guys smell that?" "Grover I'm not kidding" " no neither am I. Just shush. Hamburgers" Grover says before walking off.
