FEYA'S POV:-
11:30 P.M
I was looking through my old stuff in my wardrobe.
I have a habit of collecting every little thing since childhood which is memorable to me and keeping it in a box.
This box was given to me my mom and it has so many memories captured in it.
The reason why I took out this box was because I wanted to relive every step of my relationship with Seth.
This box had all of it. All our love letters, his gifts to me,his jerseys, dried flowers,polaroids,movie tickets.
It even had the cute I love you note Seth gave to me when we were in class 10. I sent Seth a picture of it.
I was laughing and crying while going through our memories.
The memories of our first meet came rushing to me.
"Feya it's your turn to serve now go take the ball and get into position". The coach said while I rushed to grab the ball from my teammate.
We were practising for tomorrow's inter school volleyball match and I was in the school team. This was when i was in 8th standard.
I took my position and waited for the coach to give me signal.
"C'mon you can do it feya best of luck" my teammates shouted supporting me.
I smiled lightly telling myself to do my best.
As soon as I heard the whistle I flew the ball and hit the top of it with my hand and as soon as it crossed the net I jumped and a series of claps were heard from my teammates.
But those were short-lived when we heard a loud groaning sound not too far from our court.
"Looks like somebody got hit by the ball. Go feya get the ball and apologise to the student" coach said .
I cursed at myself in my head and ran immediately into the direction of what looked like a boy.
While going towards him I was preparing myself for his wrath because that hit must've hurt real bad.
As I got near him he had his back turned to me and the ball in his hand while the other hand was soothing his head.
"Excuse me I'm so sorry for hitting you with the ball I did not see you coming" I blurted out and waited for his response.
He turned around immediately hearing his voice and I closed my eyes for a second preparing myself for the long lecture.
"It's alright. I should've been careful not to walk around the court and must've have seen you guys were playing".
I opened my eyes in shock as he was not mad.
He was taller than me. Way taller. I was 5'3 and he was what I could figure out aleast 5'9.
He was towering over me.
He had a fair skin with a bit of tan due to the extreme summer.
His features were soft and he had big puppy eyes.
His hairs were average length with hint of curls at the end.
He was lean and a bit towards the healthier side but not fat at all.
All over he was pretty good looking and he did not seem like he was an old student. I have never seen him around. He must be new.
"Excuse me are you listening to me?" He snapped his fingers bringing me out of my trance.
"Ohh yes yes I apologize again. I will be careful from now on".
I said and forwarded my hands to take the ball from him.
But he pushed the ball back and raised his eyebrows at me.
"I think you did not hear what I just said"
"Huh?" I said appearing dumb as I really did not have a clue of what he was talking about.
"I said that I am a new student here . Summer intake and my name is Seth Atkinson".
"I'm in 8th grade and it will be helpful for me if you help me with a tour of this school and with that may I also get your name?" He asked
"Ahh I'm sorry. My name is Feya Miller".
"I'm also in 8th grade. I'm actually practising for a volleyball match for tomorrow so I can't give you a tour right now but I have a free period tomorrow so I can do it tomorrow if it suits you". I said as I really owed him this.
He nodded at my sentenced and smiled at me making me warm from the inside.
He had a beautiful smile.
"It works for me" he said.
"Feya come back fast the period is about to end".I heard a voice shouting at me and I figured out it was the coach.
My eyes widened in fear .
"I should really go now" I told him rapidly and ran out of there not wanting to get scold.
Wait-- I could not hear what he was saying and I ran from there before he could complete his sentence.
We became a couple 2 years after our first meet.
At first we started of with being friends but neither one of us could deny the attraction between us and hence we confessed to each other.
I have never told Seth this but I think I had a crush on him since rhe first day i met him.
He was the first guy who made me feel that way.
No other guy till now has been successful in making me feel that.
I will tell him about this tomorrow I'm sure he will tease me about this.
Morning 9:00 a.m:-
"Meredith can you please pack my breakfast. I have to talk to dad about something and I will get late if I have breakfast here".
I told Meredith and took off from the kitchen after hearing her response.
I'm finally gonna tell dad about Mr.Jeon who has been bothering ever since I met him.
Dad deserves to know about this and it is not something I should hide from him.
I went towards dad's home office and knocked on it.
"Who is it" asked dad from inside
"It's me dad" I replied
"Come in feya" I heard and I opened the door immediately.
Ŵhen I entered the office I saw him sitting in his seat surrounded by files.
He was probably reading one of the cases.
"What happened baby? Do you need something?" he asked
"Uhhm dad I need to talk to you about something important" I said and I turned around and looked the door.
When I faced him again I could see the worry on his face
"Tell me feya I'm getting worried now. Have a seat and tell me everything" he said while taking off his glasses.
I nodded my head and went to sit in front of him.
"Dad about our deal with the Jeon corporations can I shift it to Mr. Trusse
from the senior executive department?.
I said while looking down again the desk as if it was made from diamond.
I could not meet my dad's eyes in this moment.
"I don't see why you would do that. They are our most important client. There is nobody I would want other than you to handle this responsibility."
I sighed knowing this would be his reply and I could not complain. I was not being reasonable now at least not without telling him the reason behind it.
"I know that but dad there is something you need to know he-" as I was speaking a loud ringing noise surrounded the room making me stop talking.
I looked at the cause and saw dad picking up his phone.
"Shall I take this call later?" Dad asked looking at me and I shook my head in denial indicating him to take the call.
He picked up the call making the noise to stop .
I was fiddling with my fingers waiting for him to finish the call and it ended sooner than I expected.
"What happened dad?"I asked noticing the sudden change of expressions on his face.
"It was from Seth's parents. They want to meet us tomorrow."
"I called them early in the morning today. "
"They were delighted with the news of both of you getting engaged."
"They want to meet us asap to fix the wedding date".
I noticed the delighted expression on his face and in that moment I did not want to change that.
I wanted him to stay happy just like he was in this moment.
So I decided not to talk to him further. I will just give another excuse and the cut the conversation short.
"You were telling me about something right? Continue that I'm sure it's important".
"No dad I think I was just too stressed with all the work that's piling up maybe I was not ready for such a big responsibility now but I think i can do it now".
"It is a huge opportunity for us. I do not want to disappoint you". I said.
"No baby it's no about disappointing me.
"I think it's the best for you if you handle this deal. It will boost your experience."
" I don't care about the money or how much our company will succeed."
"I just want to watch you excel in your career".
"Thankyou dad I know you always want the best for me I will always try my best to do you proud." I said.
"Just you being my daughter itself is the most proud thing for me. You don't have to do anything to make me more proud of you. I believe in you" he said .
I smiled sadly successfully trying to hide my emotions and got up.
"I will take my leave now"I said and turned around to leave.
"Make sure to have a fulfilling breakfast" he said before I could exit.
But my appetite was already gone thinking about facing that man tonight.
I replied a short yes and closed the door releasing a huge sigh.
HEY GUYS I'M SO SORRY I KNOW I PROMISED YOU ALL THAT I WILL UPDATE YESTERDAY BUT I FAILED TO DO THAT. AS AN APOLOGY I WILL UPDATE THE NEXT CHAPTER WITHIN TWO DAYS. THE MAIN STORY WILL BEGIN FROM THE NEXT CHAPTER. THIS CHAPTER WAS SHORT AND BORING I KNOW BUT THE NEXT CHAPTER WILL DEFINITELY GRAB YOUR ATTENTION.
