A month went by since Geto and Gojo left the Yaga mantion. They stayed there for a good week.
They still insisted they needed her help, which Mayumi had no problem to help them. So they decided they will set up 3 therapy sessions every month
They were delighted
Mishka was happy but Yaga wasn't to fond of the ideas. But he could see how much his little girl was helping these two idiots. He also understood that they needed this. So, he didn't say no to them
In the end of the day, they were his students. He cared about them too
But now, Mayumi was really concerned for a few days. Because if she remembered correct, Haibara was supposed to die in the recent few days
She was trying her best to come to the school everyday. She was even working on a blood seal that would help her to save Haibara
That was pretty much done but the problem was, she couldn't test it.... She couldn't test it because 1, she doesn't have a laboratory or people who would let her test on them and 2 she couldn't test it on herself. The only one time she did test, it was on her dog.....
Now she was walking on the school haul. She absentmindedly, looked out out of the window and felt herself freeze
There was a person, on a motorcycle. A woman, a tall blonde women. Mayumi felt her heart stop for a moment
It was her.... It was Yuki
She's the one who destroyed everything with her ridiculous theories. She is the one who's to blame for Geto going rouge
As soon as Mayumi saw Yuki set her foot from her motorcycle, Mayumi ran. She ran as fast as her body would allow her. Within a minute, she went right at the school vending machine room
Geto and Haibara were already talking there, they stopped their conversation to look at Mayumi worriedly. Because it looked like she just ran a marathon. She was panting
"Mayumi-chan, is everything -
Before Geto could even finish his line, Mayumi grabbed his and Haibara's hand and started to drag them out of the vending machine place to the back gate of the school
"Mayumi-chan, where are you taking us? What happened?"
Haibara asked
"I want ice cream. You're gonna come with me. My treat"
She didn't even look at them while answering them, still dragging them out
She couldn't look at them. Mayumi was sure she looked panicked
"Okay but from the back gate?"
Geto asked, finally stopping her
Mayumi felt a little relived that they were out the back gate now. Now Yuki can rot herself there, she ain't getting to talk with her Suguru-nii-san
Suguru gently picked up Mayumi. Mayumi looked at his futures, she didn't look thin and there weren't any dark circles under his eyes like in the canon
He looked much healthier
He even took Gojo's superiority as a sorcerer much better. They were still the best of friends and did everything together. They had decided to take Mayumi's advice and do missions together mostly
Which proved to be a good thing since Geto wasn't depressed like the canon story. And Mayumi couldn't be any happier
Mayumi was thinking all of this, she didn't notice she staring at Geto for a good ten minutes. She didn't notice but Geto sure did
Geto was initially very confused as to why his little therapist was so persistent to take them out to get ice cream but he wasn't complaining. He loved to spend time with Mayumi. He was really close to her.
I mean, she was his therapist. He shared everything about his life with her. Everything and anything he was stressed, guilty or unhappy about, she would everything in her power to solve his problems
He really didn't know when but she also became really important in his life
But while walking her to the ice cream place, he could feel her eyes on him. He looked at her with a raised eyebrow but noticed she still didn't look away. He tilted his head, understanding she was thinking something and was was absentminded
"Mayumi-chan, we're here!"
Haibara joyfully exclaimed and rushed to the ice cream purpler
Geto and Haibara took their ice cream. Mayumi was still absentmindedly staring at Geto
"Mayumi-chan, what flavor do you want?"
Mayumi's daze broke hearing Haibara call out to her
"Strawberry and vanilla... With chocolate wafers "
They chuckled at her choice. It was bizarre but they of course didn't stop her
When it came to pay, Mayumi, again, absentmindedly over payed a lot. She just put 4000 yen and started to walk away from the store
Geto and Haibara shared a worried look with each other before. Geto took her money and paid instead. They followed her and she sat down in one of the benches on a local
She started to look around and eat her ice cream
"Mayumi-chan, did you even realize how much you have paid? It was way too much that what the guy wanted"
Mayumi looked at Haibara. Her face absolutely emotionless
"I am sorry, I didn't get proper sleep last night. So i am a little tipsy today. I apologize again"
It looked like the brought her lies
"So Mayumi-chan, what are you up to these days?"
Geto asked, giving her a warm smile and to their surprise, Mayumi smiled back at him
"Nothing much, but how are you two? Do you and Satoru-nii-chan take the medicine I told you to take? Are you following the diet I told you to?"
Mayumi asked with a raised eyebrow
Her questions made both Haibara and Geto chuckle
"Yeah, of course we do, princess"
Mayumi creased her eyebrows in displeasure
"Can you stop calling me that? I am no princess, only my papa gets to call me that"
Geto chuckled, shrugging his shoulders
"Well then I have to fight with your papa to earn the privilege to call you my princess. But I still will call you my princess"
Mayumi looked bored now
"Good, go to Russia then"
Now Geto looked a little confused, wasn't she talking about Yaga sensei?
"Are you not talking about Yaga sensei, Mayumi-chan?"
Mayumi shook her head
"No, I am talking about my Grandpapa. he is a Mafia boss. Go ahead, fight with him. He lives in Russia"
Both of her companions blinked
Then talked for a bit before Haibara gave Mayumi the dreadful news
"You know Mayumi-chan, I and Kento will go to a mission tomorrow. It's really far, do you want me to bring something for you?"
Mayumi paused mid taking a bite of her ice cream. She put the ice cream down
"O-oh, i-is t-that so? Okay, n-no I don't need anything.... But Yuu-kun, I have something for you"
Mayumi said and quickly started to rummage through her school bag while the boys looked at her confused
She brought out two boxes of what it looked like chocolate. She gave the red one to Haibara and the Golden one to Geto
"Yesterday my Papa sent a lot of things and chocolates for me.... So I thought I will give these to you. Do me a favor, give this to Kento-kun"
She said and gave a nother red packet to Haibara
They smiled and thanked her
Mayumi watched, Haibara take out the chocolate and it two in one go. Geto chuckled at Haibara
What none of them know is that the red boxes of chocolates were especially made for Haibara and Nanami. Especially for this mission. This had chocolate hade the blood seal Mayumi created
Her job was pretty much done. Now the seal had just one job and it's to work like it did with her dogs
She took a sigh, she knew she wouldn't be able to sleep peacefully till haibara and Nanami came back to the campus
But after a few minutes, she noticed Geto staring at her with a gentle smile. She noticed this a lot. Even when they were at her house, Geto and Gojo always weirdly stared at her. For a really long period to, until someone shook their shoulders or called them a few times
Although Mayumi wasn't comfortable with this, she couldn't do anything about it. So she let it slide
One ice cream trip turned into a hole feast. Geto took them to a restaurant and they had brunch
After almost two hours, they went back to the school. There Geto was told by Mayumi's father that Yuki Tsukumo came and told about the other star plasma vessel
Mayumi inwardly smirked. She really did stop Geto from going down hills
And she couldn't be any prouder of herself
