Westeros | Crownlands | Red Keep | Maester's Quarters

Without knocking, I let myself in, in urgency, only to be greeted with an unholy sight.

I stood planted to the ground, unmoving, at the scene before me.

The Queen and her brother, naked as the day they were born, tangled in the sheets together. I gulped and opened my mouth to say something but found myself unable to.

Remembering the haste in my Princes voice, however, brought me out of my shocked state. Their were subtle rumors in King's Landing about the Golden Twins of House Lannister, but I had never taken them to heart. I was sure to be killed now, having found out their secret.

"My Queen... Ser Jaime, the Prince's quarters, there has been an intruder, and the Prince is currently fighting for his very life. Ser Jaime I, he needs your help."

I imagine it was quite hard, after being extra careful to hide their secret activities, now that I think about it they do...

"What do you mean the Prince's are being attacked? No one would dare come inside the Keep without permission,"

This time, Jaime spoke, his voice unrecognizable, Cersei was still recovering from the sudden commotion I had caused. He rose from the tangled sheets, maintaining some of his dignity with his shirt, as if being caught sleeping with your sister, wasn't embarrassing enough.

With urgency in her voice, she yelled, "Their is no time!! Your secret is safe with me. He needs your help right this instant, or he will die, now get dressed, and follow me!!"

----

Remembering the events from the week before she subtly eyed the Queen and her brother.

'Siblings who commit incest... logically would have children of incest,'

Just then, an image of Prince Lyonel with his vibrant Blonde hair paralleled the one of Ser Jaime's. It couldn't be possible, right?

Mustering up some courage at the recent revelation, she looked at the Queen. "Your grace..." while side eyeing Ser Jaime, "Ser Jaime..."

The Queen and Ser Jaime looked at Alia with unknown expressions.

Was it fear she wondered. Were they going to kill her?

Swallowing her fear, her eyes focused directly to the Queen, before she could utter a word however a groan snapped them out of their stupor.

Cersei quickly turned her attention towards the groaning boy on the bed. Her eyes filled with worry and tumultuous amounts of hope. Jaime soon rushed to her side, showing his support.

"Lyonel, Lyonel, can you hear me?"

Though her question remained unanswered, the groans of the boy persisted.

Turning to Jaime, her eyes in a frenzy kitchen, ordered, "Go fetch Maester Pycelle!"

Quickly stepping out of the room, the shutting of the door signaled. Only two were left in the room.

Cersei and Alia watched anxiously as the boy tossed on the bed, his face scrunching up in pain. It made Cersei wish Jaime hadn't given the man, no disgusting abomination such a quick death.

Opening his eyes wide, Lyonel felt pain assaulting his body from all sides and angles.

"Mother," he croaked, his voice was shaky and his throat raw.

Cersei threw her arms around Lyonel, careful to not hurt him, but just enough to let him know she loved him.

Lyonel cried in his mothers arms, finally letting out all his pent-up emotions. That night, which seemed like a minute ago, had traumatized him greatly.

Entering the room with light steps, Maester Pycelle, followed by Jaime rushed to the side of the young Prince.

Cersei, though reluctant, released her arms from around her boy and let the maester assess him.

After a few silent minutes the maester rose from his position and turned to look at the Queen.

"Your Grace, the young Prince is strong. The injuries done to his body will heal, though he will need some help and might need the aide of a cane to walk. His injuries will heal with time Your Grace, all that is left to do is help him recover. He must understand no circumstance leave this bed,"

Cersei looked thankful, then momentarily horrified at the prospect of her child being lame.

"Thank you, maester, you may leave," It was Jaime that ordered Pycelle out. Bowing his head he slowly exited the room, leaving once again four.

'They all fit the role of a family,' She realized. All three had blonde hair, well defined bone structure and Emerald Green eyes.

Sighing softly she left the room quietly and returned to her station. Her movements were not subtle however as Jaime noticed the woman leave.

Looking at Cersei, Jaime voiced his opinion, "What should we do about Alia, she knows about us now. She is a threat to our secret, but... Lyonel. He is close to her. He will not want her dead,"

Jaime did not wish to broach the subject now, but he felt he must. For a while Cersei did not answer and he let her take the time to think.

Cersei looked towards her golden haired twin, "She is a threat yes and though Lyonel has taken a liking to her, she must never indulge this information to anyone. Do what you think is best,"

With that final order Jaime walked out of the room and went on his way.

The sleeping Lyonel, unaware of the conversation, continued to sleep soundly on his bed. Giving her son a kiss on the forehead, Cersei left the room.

Walking down the halls Cersei approached Joffrey's chambers and entered tentatively.

"Joffrey?" She called out not seeing him sleeping on his bed, or playing with his toys.

"Joffrey? Where are you?" What echoed through the chamber was silence. At the moment a million thoughts raced through her mind. Had someone taken him. Was he in the courtyard somewhere?

"Joffrey?! Joffrey?!"

"Hello mother," a sickly voice from behind said, frightening Cersei, causing her to quickly spin around and face the target.

She breathed a sigh of relief seeing only Joffrey, "Ha, you scared me. Where have you been, you're supposed to stay in bed," She lifted him into her arms and carried him to the bed while carressing his golden hair lovingly.

"There you go," Pulling the sheets over him Cersei wiped his sweat with a small rag as his body was riddled with coughs and fever. "Here have some water," Lifting the cup to his lips she watched him swallow the contents eagerly before telling him to slow down.

Smiling softly she wiped his lips and resumed looking at him. He was less injured than his younger brother, having been asleep when it happened. Unfortunately the full details of what occurred that night were not entirely known to Joffrey. Now that Lyonel was awake, perhaps they could piece the puzzle together.

Her mind went back to that night, after Jaime had 'taken care' of the perpetrator she was met with a frantic looking Joffrey, with his big green eyes bloated about to pop out of his head. His blonde hair sticky and his lips fraught.

"He killed them!"

"He killed them!"

"He killed them..."

"He killed them!

With each repetition of the same sentence, 'He killed them' his tone either increased or decreased in pitch. Cersei, though ashamed to even think about it, Joffrey looked crazed. Her sweet boy sounded like a demon possessed in that moment. They eventually had to knock the boy lest he become violent.

He was normal now though, Cersei reminded herself.

Though the aftermath of the incident had left him sick, she knew deep down her son would be fine.

"Mother?" He called for her, his voice small. "Hmm,"

"Is Lyonel fine?" He asked, his voice barely a whisper.

"He's awake, you can see him on the morrow... rest now,"

"Mother," He asked once more. "Is the bad man coming back?" Cersei did not answer thinking he was having a fever dream. "Did Lyonel get rid of the bad man?" Tears welled in Cersei's eyes.

"Rest now Joffrey, no one can hurt you here." She said, her voice shaky. Pressing a kiss to his forehead a lone tear ran down her cheek.

Leaving the room and going back to her own chambers Cersei hurriedly walked from prying eyes. As a mother, it was absolutely terrifying to see your children in pain. Leaning on a wall she covered her mouth with her palm to quiet down the sobs that racked her throat.

"Cersei?" Called out a familiar voice, turning around slowly she was met with her golden haired twin. The halls were empty, walking to him slowly she could see through his eyes how it broke him to see her in such pain.

Embracing her softly he brushed his cloaked hand through her golden hair. "It is done, she is gone," He whispered softly into her ear.

"Never leave me please," She hiccuped on his chest. He pulled her face into his palm slowly and wiped her tears, her eyes still watery.

"Never.."
