I woke up from hearing the loud chatter and laughs from so many people. I tried to rub my eyes but panicked at the restriction from the chains around my hands.
"Alright, Ladies and Gentlemen! We have a young pirate up for sale! An 18 year old female and to top it all off... She's a virgin!"
The curtain opened and I was greeted with a huge crowd staring at me hungrily. Like I was a prized possession. I clutched onto my chains in fear as I watched the smirks on their creepy faces.
"Can we start the auction off with... 50 million?"
"100!"
"200!"
"I have 200million right now! Anymore?"
"300!"
"400!"
Two ugly men continued to bid higher and higher until I saw a gang stand up.
"900 million berry!" They shouted as they slammed the money down.
Everyone was quiet. The tears spilled from my eyes.
This was it.
"Going once, going twice... Sold to the men wearing suits!!" The auctioneer shouted, pointing to the men.
I heard rounds of applause and they walked over to collect their 'prize'. Me.
They grabbed me with such force causing me to yelp.
"Are you ready to be our slave forever?" One of them asked slyly, already touching me inappropriately.
"Boss is going to love this one! A virgin?! He'll mark her forever!" Another guy announced, his eyes wandered up and down my body.
I was shaking. My heart was racing and tears continued to spill down my face.
"Aww." Another guy laughed as he slapped my face a couple times.
"You'll be an amazing sex slave~"
"No! No! No!" I screamed out.
"No! No! No!"
"Hayami!"
"Hayami!"
I woke up immediately and sat up in the bed to see Zoro in front of me, his hands on my shoulders. His harsh gaze had softened this time. I was hyperventilating from the nightmare and could feel myself ready to cry.
Without thinking, I clung onto him and cried into his chest. He froze for a few minutes but then began to rub circles on my back in an odd rhythm.
I hadn't noticed I was crying onto his huge, bare chest until I pulled away. My cheeks flushed a bright shade of red and I moved further away.
"I'm sorry." I apologised and wiped my tears away.
Zoro's chest glistened with my tears and he looked concerned and a little flustered.
"Look at me." His voice was soft and gentle yet still commanding. I did as he said and met his onyx eyes again.
He slowly reached his hand to my face and moved a few loose strands out of my eyes.
"What was your nightmare about?" He asked. I finally stopped crying and took a deep breath.
"You can tell me..." He pressed, he seemed desperate for any answer.
I opened my mouth to speak but my stomach growled in hunger.
Shit. I forgot I hadn't eaten.
His eyes widened for a second and quickly dashed out of the room. He was gone for a good 15 minutes and returned with a sandwich and a glass of water. I didn't care what was in the sandwich and immediately began eating.
Once I had finished I looked up at him and handed him the plate, then had a huge drink of the water and placed the glass down. I already felt my energy coming back.
"Thank you." I muttered and he nodded before leaving to take the plate away. I waited for him to come back, somewhat ready to explain the nightmare.
He returned and sat on the bed next to me, waiting for me to respond to his previous question.
"I'm a pirate, Zoro." I started it all off with a one liner, bracing for him to cut me down at any given point, but instead he waited for me to continue.
"I had this... boyfriend. We were together for two years. We set sail together and I thought we would be together forever." I explained, feeling physically sick admitting my stupidity out loud.
I tried to continue but immediately felt like I was going to vomit. I bawled my eyes out and covered my face with my hands. Zoro moved over to me and cradled me in his arms.
Zoro quickly pulled me into his embrace and I sobbed into his chest once more. He didn't even have to ask what the nightmare was about. He got the picture.
"You don't have to explain. ." He murmured into the top of my head and held me tightly in his huge arms.
"I'm just glad you're alive." He whispered and rubbed my back, trying to soothe me.
I finally wrapped my arms around him and looked up to his face. Hair had stuck to my soaked cheeks.
"I'm sorry for waking you." I felt awful, he looked so tired when I first met him.
He moved the hair from my face and continued to rub my back.
"You didn't wake me." Zoro simply stated which caused me to raise a brow.
"You haven't slept?" I asked and he shook his head and sighed.
"I couldn't sleep." I pulled myself away and stared at him confused.
"Why not?" I pried, tilting my head slightly. He looked away and ran a hand over his hair.
"I was keeping an eye on you. That's all."
My heart fluttered at his words and I watched his cheeks turn a light shade of pink but he tried to hide it.
"I was worried about you so... I just wanted to make sure you were okay. Then you started screaming in your sleep so I came straight over. You didn't wake me." He explained, looking all flustered.
I couldn't help but smile at his explanation and expressions and hugged him tightly once more, which took him back a little.
"Anyway, you ought to try and go back to sleep. It's still dark outside." He cleared his throat and gently pushed me away to get up from the bed.
But I grabbed his huge bicep which caused him to turn to me with a confused expression.
"Sleep with me." I looked up at his eyes, my face was heating up by the second but I didn't care. I just knew I needed his company.
Zoro's POV
"Sleep with me."
My eyes widened at her words and a soft shade of pink crept onto her cheeks. I could feel myself getting a little flustered.
"W-What?!" I heard her loud and clear but it's all I managed to blurt out.
"Please." Her voice was soft and she stared into my eyes. Her beautiful emerald green eyes. I looked away from her beauty for a second before sighing to myself.
Hayami, what are you doing to me?
"But after all you've been through... Is this what you really want?" I questioned her and she nodded quickly.
"I appreciate you keeping an eye on me, but you need sleep too. And I might get another nightmare. So please would you... sleep with me?" She fumbled her words a little at the end, her small hand squeezed my bicep lightly, sending a weird sensation to my body.
I got into the covers with her and saw her smile as she laid down next to me. Before I could do anything, she clung to my body, her arms wrapped around my sides and her face nuzzled in my chest, she even lifted one leg over both of my legs.
I had never experienced anything like this so all I could do was blush at her touch. I wrapped my arms around her smaller frame, being careful where to place myself so I didn't scare her.
Within seconds, I heard her light snores. They were adorable. I smiled at the sight beneath me and kissed the top of her head.
What is this feeling?
