Today, I'm wearing a tomato red three quarter sleeve light chiffon gown that cinches at my waist, but flares out in iron straight pleats, it's fluid, copious drop progressively widening till it crowds my ankles, hemmed out in snow white embroidery. My hair is wrapped up in a tight bun at the crown of my forehead. Anyone that knows me, will know that I was nervous, dressing up, so I think I overdid it. I mean, I didn't know what I'd meet in class today; people, or empty seats.
Attendance has really picked up. I can see eighteen people, mostly new faces, all my first members returning, except that Radio girl, which is very disappointing! Mrs. Inyang Maye Hatta, her mother, is here, so is the Boy. Jessica Harris's presence surprises me. A wrapround bandage is on her head, with one or two plastered gauzes on her face, revealing that she's eh, had a bit of a rough weekend, even her left arm is in a sling... well. I welcome everyone, introduce myself again, tell them what they can expect in this class, then I humbly make a request for an opening prayer, adding that everyone should please bow their heads and close their eyes. I quickly snatch my white lace scarf from my desk, using it to cover my head. Dr. Jay's deep baritone is another surprise. I guess he has fallen in love with Africa, with our mysterious little Canaan. Yes I saw him on network news, I know who he is, it's just that I've got that feeling, you know, like I've seen another other him somewhere before but, the details are so... fuzzy.
He prays for insight, and then for solution to difficult challenges. Its a good point to remember, that everyone here is probably facing one challenge or the other. There are too many pains in this world, too many people in a desperate need of any kind of relief. The tree of good and evil knowledge is all about living inside a fatal mix of both truth and lies. But when people get knowledge of the truth, the lies cannot hurt them anymore.
"Today's topic is..." My laptop is already open before me on my desk. I pick up a remote, press a button, My Sony 262 inch tv screen comes on with the title: Are We Lost In Translation? "Today's topic is going to be a bitter pill to swallow," I set the first three slides of my power point presentation to flip every ten minutes,
"Do we know that God does not want His Word changed? (Rev. 22: 18-19,) Do we know that to have a counterfeit Word (Isa. 8: 20,) is to have a counterfeit Salvation (Luk. 11: 35-36,) and a counterfeit Messiah? (1 John. 4: 1,) Some may argue it's impossible to preserve God's Word from a time He gave it, up to now (Jer. 1: 12; Psa. 12: 6-7,) If mankind is in charge, this is impossible, but with God, all things are possible (Matt. 19: 26.) Only God can punish souls the way He says He will do, in (Rev. 22: 18-19,) Now, lets use precedent as our standard metric. The original King James 1611 Version is in fact, the HRBC's tool box. For those just coming in, this is Holiness Revival Bible Class, my name, is Miss Edima, and our topic this Wednesday is, Lost in Translation!
We are going to compare different bible versions of a very important verse. Many bible versions today seem to attack the saving grace, the divinity, the power unto our salvation, of Jesus, the Christ. In (Matt. 1: 25) the King James bible says,
"And knew her not till she had brought forth her first-born son: and he called his name Jesus." But in the American Standard Version it says, "and knew her not till she had brought forth a son : and he called his name Jesus."
The RSV phrases it similarly, the NIV elaborates on the error by saying, "But he had no union with her until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus."
Uh; in case it's not apparent yet, this translation implies that Mary might have had daughters before birthing our Saviour. The NWT goes to town with this harmful change, "But he had no intercourse with her until she gave birth to a son; and he called his name Jesus."
So was Mary a virgin or not? (Isa. 7: 14,) Is Jesus Christ her First born or not? (Mk.6: 3; Col. 1: 18; Luk. 2: 7,) Who are we doubting here, is it man, or, is it God? (Rom.3: 4; Num. 23: 19,) I think the answer depends on what we know about God (Rom. 1: 20.) Can we know His Character? (1John 2: 3,4.) Does He repeat Himself (Isa. 40: 1,) in all His instructions to us, which we receive by inspiration of His Holy Spirit (2Tim. 3: 16-17,) through His prophets, then through His Son, and then, through His Son's disciples? Does He ever change? (Mal. 3: 6-10; Jam. 1: 17; Rev. 1: 18.) What did He say about His Son (Luk. 1: 35,) that relates to the divinity (Matt. 1: 18,) ability (Heb.2: 18; 4: 15; 7: 25; Matt. 9: 28,) power and grace (Rom. 1: 16; Heb. 4: 12; 1: 3; Jer. 10: 12,) that all these... mistranslations attempt to erase? Is it not written: to Him we give the pre-eminence in all things (Col. 1: 15-22,) He is always the Firstborn (Rom.8: 29; Psa. 89: 27; Rev. 1: 5.) He came through a virgin birth (1 Jhn. 3: 5; Luk. 1: 26-38,) by the power of The Holy Spirit; a power at work in the garden of Eden, long before Adam knew his wife, the reason why she is called the mother of all that is living (Gen. 3: 20,) the reason why her pain, labour and sorrow of child birth is multiplied (Gen. 3: 16,) after their sin through operation of God's divine punishment. This power to be born, to be brought into existence, is the same Holy Spirit power that adopts us when we give our lives to Christ (Rom.8: 14-17;) it is the Witness testifying we are of God (Rom. 8: 16,) a power that makes us to be born again (Eph. 4: 30; Jhn. 3: 6,7.) This verse (Matt.1: 25;) points to the nature of the divine, it is not through sex; sex is not even worthy of the resurrection (Matt. 22: 30; Luk. 20: 35,) yet in that next age, there will be children (Isa. 65: 20,) the fact that society puts sex all over the place does not change it's true origin (Jam. 1: 14; Rom. 6: 12,) the divine is not carnal (2 Cor. 10: 4,5,) neither are we called to be! So attacking the truth in (Matt.1: 25) hints at a hidden agenda, most especially as some versions don't even have it anymore, they removed it.
Because faith actually comes by hearing, its imperative for a soul to hear the truth (Rom. 10: 17,) but lets understand why translation is crucial to salvation. Translation can be a barrier between us and our God; because He is Holy; we cannot relate with Him using the language of lies. A false translation is a lie. Example: if we are to watch and pray (Mrk. 13: 33,) then how do we know what to watch for? Or what to even pray for? If the Word tells us (Luk.21: 11; Matt. 24: 1-51,) then people will get diverse instructions, depending on the translation they are using. Look for The Son of God coming in clouds of glory. In the sky. In a sonic boom. In a huge unidentified flying object. Some people... will look for a prophet. Some people will look for a leader, an Alien, any christ. In this end time there will be many false prophets! (Mrk. 13: 6,) Many false Christ's! Okay! Time for a practical exercise! Who are the two witnesses in the book of revelation? Anyone? Yessss! Mr. Bobby Essien!"
"Enoch and Elijah; they are the only two men of God that didn't see death!"
"I see. Yessss! Dr. Jay!"
"Uh; Revelations 11: 1-14 is pointing to Moses and Elijah because they, uh, appeared at the transfiguration of our Lord, whereas Enoch is not a descendant of Abraham..."
"I see. Anyone else want to try? So basically, we all agree it can be two people, so how about two groups of people? How about two concepts? I watched a movie recently... where the two witnesses had been cast as a white man and a black woman. Some other interpretation, may have it that Elijah and Moses return in the flesh; Elijah was never buried! Well now, God hid the body of Moses! Does this mean He preserved it? It did not rot? Please notice how I'm thinking a lot. I'm sort of stuffing stuff into my growing compartment box. Maybe we should not do this for God's Word, hmm?
Maybe we should pray to see what He's repeatedly written (Psa. 119: 130,) how about that? Because it's one thing to say, Elijah, and it's another thing to say, in the spirit of Elijah (Mal. 4: 5-6; Luk. 1: 16-17,) I'm talking about the breath of life, here (Gen.2: 7.) A human spirit is what? It is from where? I mean, It's already a part of God, life as existence is already within God, we are just standing by the window looking inside the house, oh come on? Are we not souls in waiting (Job. 14: 14,) souls in training (Psa. 144: 1,) supposedly, maybe souls translating (Psa. 19: 7,) souls being quickened (1 Cor. 15: 45,) alright? We've got a breath of life inside us, but it's going to expire, so we need to get inside of life, we need to enter it (Matt. 19: 17.) So is the breath operating in prophet Elijah a Holy Spirit Power that's coming again as one of the two witnesses? Elijah set himself apart, is he not thus described? As a man living in Holiness. Well what about Moses? Did the great Moses operate under The Word of God Power; I call it God's law, His instructions, judgements, commandment, precept, what He is, what is come out of Him, as in, His only begotten, Whom He has named above every name, by Whom we are also called, by Whom we are also named, a type of first fruits, begotten by God's Word, born again. This law of The Spirit of Life that is Jesus Christ, isn't this the breath in Moses?
I can see how, one witness might be The Word, and the other the Holy Spirit! Both are inside the people who seek God first! (Rom. 8: 18,) two groups of people! Them that love The LORD and them that are called, according to His purpose! Christ in us and the presence of God's Holy Spirit in our conscience, in our hearts, witness that we are God's children (Gal. 4: 6.) The 1611 king James bible, our metric standard, says of witnesses: there are three witnesses in earth; the spirit, the water, the blood, then, there are three witnesses in heaven; God, The Word, The Holy Ghost (1Jhn. 5: 6,7,8,) the global entertainment media has already embarked on conditioning our minds with subtle mistranslations of The Word, using celebrity style movie super heroes, the powers of suggestion, that method the serpent used on Eve, to create doubt, provide alternatives, captivate with fanciful imagination! Then how prepared are we, even to recognize the counterfeit duo? Are we focused on the vanities of this world, or are we watching The Truth in the signs? Are we not seeing The word watered down and beaten down, everyday, and natural human conscience is being steadily, systematically eroded? Then when we get to lawlessness! They'll both be murdered out in the cold streets, left for dead (Rev. 11: 8.) The words 'holy' and 'truth' will finally be erased from dictionaries! Some of these things, are they not already happening?
If we are to watch and pray, let's watch for the truth of it, not the counterfeit. Let's try to know exactly what it is God has said, not what the darkness insinuates, implies, justifies, manipulates using the secret sinful desires still controlling our minds, not the trending lies, because the soul that believes a lie shall die (2Thessa. 2: 8-12,) and because, the Just shall live by faith... Learn now, what it means to live by faith, for its Faith that comes, first, by hearing The Word of God (Rom. 10: 17,) not hearing a counterfeit word... in these end times, physical Churches may be burnt up, holy bibles translated out of originality; but all who hear, do, speak God's Truth, their souls can't be killed; Truth is alive and well with them, holiness is holy still, all glory be to God Almighty! The foundation of prophets is written on stone but we the pillars have it all down on fleshly tables of the heart (2 Cor.3: 2,3; Pro. 4: 23,) now we know what the heart is for. It is people who carry God's laws in their hearts that can demonstrate the manifestation of "sonship," that, they are the sons of God (Rom. 8: 19.) Another day, we will talk about this, now, let's go back to the darkness of our wicked world. Agents of deception are changing The Word, interpretations in varied stages of error have eaten into the very fabric of society. What is the fate of those lost in translation? The translation for killers? Liars, thieves? Fornicators? Gays, lesbians? The translation for Adulterers? For witches and warlocks? According to the lusts trending, to every vile logic and reasoning under the sun, whatever makes our sins feel quite at home, loved and accepted. Sweet is bitter, lies, true. If the foundation be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
Listen! The Strong Delusion is not our friend. So this is injury time. We are in the matrix, alright? It's a set up... Souls get lost in translation, not just by misinterpretation, or partial misunderstanding, or a total misapplication of parables, of commandments, judgements, holy knowledge, to the unfolding sequence in events of the divine, natural order, but does God not tell His people what He will do? (Amos. 3: 7.) In a family that interprets solution to mean dining with devils, believing prosperity to mean some form of agreement with hell (Isa. 28: 18-22,) within such a dark lineage, souls get lost in translation just by being... born." I let that sink in deep for a bit. I let them turn it over in their minds. Getting lost in translation. Just. By. Being. Born. A soul can be introduced to The Word by what he or she sees in his or her family. A soul can get so lost in translation, when he or she begins to grapple with the desires already ingrained in his or her's inherited skin.
"Sin has a multiplier effect on genes. You can try, but it isn't possible to escape DNA. The natural apple never falls far from the tree. Like David killing Uriah to cover up his adultery with Bathsheba (2 Sam. 11: 14-17.) Is there anything wrong with David's lusting, coveting, murdering libido? Solomon his son, this guy, cruising in kingly style, went in, unto at least, one thousand women. Regularly (1Kings. 11: 1-3.) Ha ha! What do you call that? A curse, eh, maybe? A revisited iniquity? (Ex. 34: 7; Num. 14: 18; Deut.5: 9.) A case of generational repeat this morality class, please? I hear a few chuckles but, it's not funny to God. It led (1Kings. 11: 4,5,) to the world's wisest man's idolatry, something Mega Pastors just smile about. They think its not serious! It's generational! It's sinful! It's a target for the divine punishment! It's also a curse. It's a covenant of the flesh, the soul, the family... This libido Solomon inherited from David; do you think a little prayer or two, could've set him to rights? (Mrk.9: 29,) No fasting? (Mrk. 5: 1-21,) No deliverance encounter? I so don't understand those Mega Pastors. They won't tell you what Jacob went through, after he swindled his brother Esau's birthright (Gen. 25: 29-34.) Jacob was in trouble. Seven years toil for Rachel but he got Leah (Gen. 29: 20- 35.) I think, another seven years toil for Rachel, bowing down his head to the ground as he approached Esau's battalion (Gen. 33: 3-10,) was it not, seven times? Do the pastors who chuckle over things like this, do they tell you that Jacob wrestled all night (Gen. 32: 24-32,) with a supernatural entity, refusing to let go, until it blessed him? He, the very blessed, begging a blessing, a deliverance? But my question to you, is this: if God sent an angel to Gideon (Jdg. 6: 11-40,) to tell him to cast down the altars of baal in his father's house; what more do you want God to do for us, who have Jesus, The Christ? But...
Some of us are born into real strange families; bloodlines already set up with spiritual obstacles, with evil ancestral covenants carrying a weight of generational curses, just looping through the lineage, a matrix within a matrix, a cage in a cage, a DNA plant production programmed to continuously remain under the anger of God. This is a darkness that traps in large quantities, in generations (Ex. 24: 7,8; Isa. 24: 3-13,) the reason why The Word speaks about lawful captivity (Isa. 49: 24-26.) If some of us are lost in here, between the jaws of the terrible and the sharp teeth of the mighty (Gal. 3: 3, Gen. 4: 11,) if some of us are sold out to all these wicked entities, while still worms in the loins of our sires (Heb. 7: 1-10; Psa. 51: 5; Jer. 17: 5; Jhn. 9: 1-3,) if some of us first learned to worship these powers, principalities in high places, before we even learned our abc's, if we are Lost! Like! This! How do we get rescued? Delivered? How do we get absolved from contractual obligation? I mean, a deal is a deal, right?
There is a need for us all to investigate our roots, yes, it matters; the book of Numbers shows us that our lineage is important to God. If we don't know our foundations, we won't know how to let God heal the cracks in it. We will not know if we need to cut it off (Matt. 5: 29-30,) if its the thing inviting the enemy's wicked interference, because we can't stand on a sinking sand it has to be The Solid Rock. If we ignore it or wish it away or refuse to face it, we won't make it into Life Everlasting. Let's do it. Let's all go home today, and shine the light of His Word (Jhn. 3: 21,) to see what lies beneath our family names. ETERNITY DOES NOT CARE IF YOU DID NOT KNOW, IF YOU WERE NOT THERE, ITS NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN OUR BASIC HUMAN RIGHTS! Please! We really can't keep blaming the ancestors. They've gone, and we are here, still answering to the bloodline, to the name.
If this class teaches anything, it should be the unlimited power of The Word, and the same power, in The Name, of our Saviour. Two questions to answer, while we yet have breath: What exactly does God say? AM I DOING IT? I'm rounding up in five minutes, let's take a detour...
When God says talk to Me in My Son's Name, is this what we do? Is prayer a spiritual conversation, or a chanting mantra, a casting of spells? I want you to think about it, which one do we do? Come back in time with me, to the primary school classroom...
London bridge is falling down, falling down, falling down, London bridge is falling down, my fair lady.
We sang these lyrical musical nursery rhymes everyday... When we grew up, we taught our children to do the same. Five years nursery, five years primary, that's ten years... in the lives of souls, souls who God has warned, not to have anything to do with the evil ones, with unfruitful works of darkness. Ten years... of having conversation with my fair lady. Who is she that we run to when london bridge has not fallen down? Is it, the historical lady of the lake, a marine demon that edomites worshipped in river Thames, the one called Nineveh?
Some of us are so forgetful, we forget that spells are both declarations and projections, they are words in action, by that I mean spoken words, repeated over and over again to the hearing of something in the spiritual realm, maybe an altar. Some of us... might say, but this chant will not affect Africans, it's only for londoners! Guess what? We don't have to be from london before london happens to us, before an enemy can make this type of london apply. We just need to have a place that means "london," to us. In the spiritual realm, places like london represent something, just like Egypt (Rev. 11: 8,) and Babylon (Rev.14: 8; 17: 5.) Everybody in life has a place of pain, bondage, slavery, intense corruption. It can be a really bad school while growing up, a place of employment, even favourite dance clubs, a secret society or a cult. If we align, then agents of darkness can make us apply to it, like it happens in informal implied contracts where execution is consent. If we sing it, we agree to it's terms and conditions. Prayer is holy, chants are unholy, so check the rhymes, check the music, check the translation.
This topic has a part two, so I'm going to conclude here by saying that there is no shame in admitting a dark, evil, old foundation. Being lost only means you are the reason He came (Matt. 15: 24.) Now, let's talk about deliverance: the right communication tool... Remember, the lost soul is in darkness. The best way to be seen from a great distance, if inside darkness, is to shine a light like soldiers do, with red gas flares. But the kind of pure light that is The Truth travels across the different realms and pierces through every firmament. This is the light that God wants to see when He is searching for the lost sheep; it's a breaking every chain type of spiritual technology. It's a light that connects back to source (Jam. 1: 17,) that can never be destroyed (Matt. 24: 35.) The world doesn't have this type of light, darkness cannot comprehend it (Jhn. 1: 5-9,) this is the Truth that is The Way, this is the Way that is The Word, the Light that saves. The darkness deceives, it is spiritual death, it is the end of hope. It is Eve getting a counterfeit religion, then evangelizing to Adam, in the garden of Eden. Adam, Eve, and all of us tiny seeds, were cast out into the long night of satan's poisonous words...
