"You seem off." Zack said "mm mph." MJ said with a mouthful of pizza "what's going on. I understand that you've been in and out of the clinic. But you, you normally jump straight back to... you? If that makes sense." Zack furrowed his brow. MJ swallowed hard and grabbed her can of Dr Spurlock to wash it down. "I don't know what you mean?" Her fingers were crossed in her lap, a habit she had picked up years ago. "Oh, nothing hey? What's with the hands? We have been friends since we were little, I remember the day you came up with that. You thought if you crossed your fingers you wouldn't go to hell for lying." Zack smiled. "There's something going on, I'm not ready to talk about it. I need to see someone. I have to go soon, so you'll have to leave pretty quick too." MJ said, trying to brush him off. "Like hell I'm leaving without you, if you're not ready to tell me. I'm going to be with you till you are." Zack said, taking a drink of his Little Miss Fizzy. "I can't take you seriously while you drink that." MJ laughed hard, covering her mouth as Zack locked eyes and took a slow sip. "Zack, I'm not sure what is happening but I know my grandma is involved and I need to see her. Today, now." MJ stated seriously. "I brought my bike, let's go." Zack slammed the rest of his Little Miss Fizzy, burped a sparkly purple burp and grabbed his pizza. "Are you sure you want to come, I'm going to be a while and you know my grandma really really likes you." MJ nodded her head on the second really to exaggerate it. "I'm just irresistible to the Westville line, it's a curse really." Zack stuffed the crust in his mouth and said, "Let's get going little lady." And tipped an invisible hat. MJ grabbed her keys off the table. "Okay come on,let's go" she giggled and started to walk away.
At the retirement home,she looks at Zack to make sure that he's okay with seeing her grandma. "You sure? She's a little weird...even for me and I'm her granddaughter." MJ always wants to make sure that everyone is okay with seeing her family, even Zack. He nods. "I know she's a little weird but aren't we all?" She giggles and nods,a smile dons her face. "Okay, I just wanted to make sure." she walks over to the desk, a forced smile to talk to strangers plastered on her face "hello I'm here to visit Adelphi Westville" MJ tells the lady at the desk "Westville Adelphi? Okay, state name and reason to visit?" the woman responds "Mary Jane Westville. Here to visit my grandma." MJ says "ID?" The woman asks. MJ reaches into her pocket and pulls out an ID card. "Okay, you're clear to go. Down this hall, room 7." She can really hear the 'I hate my life' in this woman's voice. "Thank you" MJ says walking off.
Knock knock knock "Grandma? Can I come in?" MJ says to the door "Lily?" An old voice responds, she sounds to be around 80. "Yeah, come on in, Lily dear." MJ opens the door to find an old woman knitting in bed, Adelphi Westville. dog by her feet, Flip. "Hey, Gammy." "Hello dear." Adelphi's the woman that MJ can try to get answers out of. Reaching into her pocket she pulls out the picture of the man and woman, covered in mud. "Do you know who this is?" MJ asks hoping that her grandma will tell her something, anything at all to narrow this down. "That's me and your father Lily, before everything happened."
