3RD PERSON POV
Y/N slips into Serena's room silently to find her sleeping in her bed with her lover by her side
Frederick nods in greeting to her before speaking silently
"She barely fell asleep an hour ago, I think it's best to have her skip breakfast and let her sleep"
"Sure" Y/N said and she slowly let down the curtains to imbue the room in slight darkness
"Just to let you know" Y/N continues "the family physicians are coming today in the afternoon for the physical exams. Your choice if you wish to stick around or not"
"I see, the weather happens to be nice so I think I'll walk the gardens"
"Alright" Y/N agreed "The flowers are beginning to bloom around this time...a cup of coffee and a walk sounds nice...Serenity has...such beautiful views"
A few hours later...

Dr. Astance met with Serena and Y/N to give the women their physical exams.
"Lady Y/N you are in good health...though I would recommend shortening the hours that you work and allowing yourself some more exercise...an increased intake of protein would also do you some great benefit"
"I see...thank you for your input Dr. Astance" Y/N said as she tied her gown back on
"Of course...and now Lady Serena..you have lost more weight, you promised to maintain it did you not?"
"Now, let me check on the wound you got from falling last time, take off your gown please"
Serena nodded and untied her gown
"Very good, it's healed nicely...it looks like you won't have to worry about a scar anymore"
After Dr. Astance finished up and took her leave, Y/N and Serena got changed into less lounge-like clothes. Serena tied the bow in the back of Y/N casual dress
"Help me next?" she inquired
"Sure" Y/N replied
Y/N helped Serena pick out an outfit and shoes to match before tying her hair up
"There...and you heard what Dr. Astance said about your weight, you need to eat a little more than a few grapes for dinner"
"Is that why you had that brought there? What is it?"
"Grandmother Iansa brought over two opera cakes for us...this one is for you" Y/N replied
"Ugh..that old woman is simply wasting her time again" Serena stood up "I don't want to eat it, you have it for me, okay?"
Y/N sighed "Fine, but the next time I buy a cake you're eating a slice!"
Serena giggled a little "Sure, sure...now where did you hide Frederick?"
"Huh? I didn't hide him I simply mentioned that the physicians would be here today and he said that he would be in the glass garden"
"I see...I'll go over then"
Y/N turned and followed
"I'll accompany you...I want to check on my peonies that I'm growing"
"Hm? You're growing peonies?"
"I am, Raul got me a book on tending to peonies so I thought I would try to grow them"
"He likes you quite a lot that Raul...what colors are you growing?" Serena smiled as they walked to the glass garden
"Pink and white...if you'd like I'll cut some and put a few in your room...they have a light scent so it won't give you a headache"
"Sure, I'd like that" Serena said as the approached the glass garden "Is that...Eiser? Serena's eyes widened "Is he in the garden with Frederick?"
"Eiser?" Y/N peered into the garden "Huh, what's he doing there- eh?" She turned to see Serena no longer by her side
"She must've rushed into the garden...I had best check on my peonies to avoid trouble" Y/N went over to where she was growing her flowers to find them close to full bloom
"Oh how lovely...these need a few more days though" She turned her head when she heard the rising voices and she walked over silently
Apparently she has made it just in time because when Serena reached out and placed her hand on Eisers shoulder accusing him of saying something hurtful to Frederick, he shoved her hand off his shoulder pushing her backwards
Y/N lunged forward on instinct catching her elder sister before she could injure herself on a nearby pedestal
"Lady Serena!" Frederick called out
"Sister, are you alright?" Y/N whispered to Serena
"I'm fine" she winced as she got up
"She must've hurt her ankle falling " Y/N thought
"You're hurt!" Frederick rushed over to Serena before whirling on Eiser
"What have you done?!" he glared at him
"It's fine" Serena said firmly, "What are you two doing together- ow.."
Frederick picked up Serena bridal style and sent one more glare over his shoulder to Eiser before making eye contact with Y/N signifying that it's time to leave
Y/N glanced over her shoulder to Eiser and sees him touching his sleeve where Serena had touched him
She quickly looked away before following Frederick to Serena's room

In Serena's room, Y/N helped her change into a long spaghetti strap nightgown and pulled her hair back after fetching the first aid kit and handing it to Frederick who thanked her.
She took Serena's jewelry off so she could be more comfortable, placing it in her jewelry box and leaving the room.
Y/N sighed and rubbed her temples as she walked to her office to complete the rest of her work.
She made herself a cup of tea and got to work sorting through documents that she would send off to Eiser for review
After 20 minutes there was a knock at the door
"Come in" Y/N said not looking up from her work
Eiser walked into her office shutting the door behind him
Y/N looked up, "Oh, is there anything I can do for you?"
"Yes actually...I have a question for you" he spoke not breaking eye contact which made Y/N slightly uncomfortable but she didn't show it
"Alright, ask away" she made a gesture with her hand silently asking for him to speak
"Would you sister be willing to learn from someone?"
Y/N leaned back in her chair, "Depends on the subject and the teacher"
"Then would she learn from me?" Eiser crossed his arms
She tilted her head in thought "from you...huh...you must want to teach her to run Serenity then?"
Eiser raised his eyebrows slightly "Raul was right then, you really are quite perceptive"
Y/N raised an eyebrow slightly but didn't question his words, "She would learn from you but she probably wouldn't be willing considering it's coming from you"
"What's that supposed to mean"
Y/N shrugged "Take it as you will" she said with a light smile "Is that all?"
"One more question" Eiser placed his hands in his pockets "Your sister and you act differently around me, I want to know why"
Y/N tapped her pen twice "Well for one I'm not contractually married to you, um...my sister resents you because of your family and I don't really see it that way 'cause y'know...'don't judge a book by its cover' and all that" she made air quotes as she spoke
"Because of my family?" He tilted his head "...interesting...and you're not afraid of my family"
"Oh I am...well not really...but the Grayans have done some pretty questionable things...no offence if you took any" she looked up at him
"None taken...and your sister is in her room, yes?"
"Last time I checked, yeah"
"Very well, I'll let you get back to work then" he turned around and walked to the office door "and have those documents to my office by tonight, Y/N"
Y/N sighed and rubbed her eyes "Sure sure" she could have sworn he let out a light chuckle as he left her office
"Ugh he works me so hard" She yawned and finished up her work and decided to slump over to her office couch and have a cat nap

Two hours later...
She woke up to see the sun setting and casting an orange-golden glow into her office
"Ugh" she said as she sat up and smoothed the wrinkles from her clothes
She walked over to her desk "Oh yeah...gotta give Eiser these documents"
She fixed her appearance before picking up the documents and walking over to Eisers office and knocking on the door
"Come in" came a deep voice from the office and she walked in
She placed the documents on the corner of his desk "All done, now their yours to review"
"Much appreciated" he said not even looking up at her
"I take it Serena let you teach her?" he finally looked up
"That's right...I'll have you send over more documents soon for her to review and...we have a meeting with Lovis coming up- you know him - and a meeting at the hotel soon so be prepared for that"
She nodded "Of course...I'll take my leave then, goodnight" she said as she left
"Goodnight, Y/N" Eiser said as she quickly left and practically ran to her room seeing something looked off
She walked closer to her bed to see the sheets has changed to a pink silk set with ruffles on the edge of the pillows and fluffy blankets with a note from Serena "Dr. Astance reccomends better sleep for the both of us so I got us matching sheets like we used to have as children. I hope you sleep well tonight...I'll surely try to sleep better for you :). Love, your sister, Serena <3"
Y/N smiled "Awww how sweet"
She changed into a pink nightgown and cuddled up into bed holding the large polar bear stuffed toy that her adoptive parents had gotten her for her eighth birthday and then drifted to sleep
