𝕸ILES (OR LIL YACHTY, as the world knew him) wanted to break into six flags. but, he had to do this very late at night, with the right selection of people ofcourse. tyler the creator was the ringleader and knew how to break into anywhere. plus, they'd keep something open for him in a beat.
miles invited people he wanted around, few of which were dominic and max. and ofcourse, max brought tinecia, since he was practically infatuated with her. it was cute and he was happy for his friend.
he couldn't help but feel like it was getting rubbed in his face a little though. especially when the girl he's with is bestfriends with a girl he very much could've been with.
"can you fuckin' fix your face, maybe? we're gonna have a good time, alright?" max slings his arm over dominic's shoulder which immediately makes him self-conscious. he didn't realise his sulking was that obvious.
"is this about sumi'?" tyler butts in, after successfully getting the gates open. dominic's face screws up a little, not liking the way she was addressed.
"suminar. and- i'm not even trippin' about that anyway," he huffs and looks down.
"thought so. her melanated self is too good for you kinda," he replies nonchalantly and dominic just stares at him confused. max snickers a little bit not for long, since tyler was quickly on his ass too.
"i don't even know why you're laughing. just 'cause you're dating tiny don't mean i trust you. ol' new niggas. hey, yachty!" tyler cups his hands around his mouth as miles was quite literally hopping the fence, "you don't gotta do all that! i got this nigga to get the gate open!"
eventually, word got out that more people were coming. one of which was gio, who invited suminar, who invited isabella (since they were currently visiting). he didn't think he'd be so excited to see her, as well as nervous.
what if shit wasn't the same? what if she hates me now? what if it's not like it was on that podcast episode? what if i fucked it up?
guys were getting the rides to work, and it was turning into one big old party. though, the mood dominic was in stopped this. and all the words max was saying became background noise. and that turned into nothingness when he spots her having a conversation a few feet away.
as soon as he saw her, it was like it all went away. fear of things being awkward, weird, not wanting to approach her, thinking she doesn't want to approach him.
it worked in a way where they smiled at eachother, briefly, before he just excused himself. the relief calmed him like a swim in the naples ocean when she did the same thing and they met halfway on the sandy floor.
"hi, sumi'," he says. he knew it'd piss her off but it felt too good not to say after all this time. while he knew now more than ever something romantic wasn't going to work out, he knew he needed this friendship.
and he was validated. validated when she rolls her eyes, running a hand up her slender arm. he watches her touch her own skin, and a tick of envy sits at his head. he wanted to be her hand. he wanted to be her skin.
oh, shut the fuck up, dom. "can we hug? is that acceptable for us to do? have we gone that long without talking?"
he didn't get a verbal answer. he got a physical one. a hug. he got that scent of citrus hitting his airwaves and he felt like he'd gotten his fix. shit, it was better than any drug he ever used to do.
"so... what's up with not texting me?"
"you're clearly more busy than i am, sumi'. what up with you not texting me?"
"uh, you're clearly more busy than i am, asshole. mr world tour," she teases and folds her arm. he rolls his eyes which she giggles at and they share a gaze again.
it was like nothing really needed to be said, but he could tell she was proud of him. and that instantly made him wanna feel proud of himself. confidence struck in his chest like the way he strikes a chord on a piano.
"we don't ever have to look at eachother different 'cause of it, y'know that right?" she finally says after a whole lot of staring.
while to anyone else, that sentence was blank and vague, dominic had never been more happy to hear something so loud and so clear. there's quite literally a childish fucking grin on his face. this girl willingly wants to keep being in his life. it wasn't romantic, no, but he'll take it. actually, it's what he wanted! he needed her, in any way he could have her. and he needed focus, with any consequences to have it.
right when he was about to respond, there was a loud bang. so loud the first thing the both of them do is cling to each other. his hands have a tight grip around her waist, as her flung around his neck.
it wasn't even anything to gag over, it was just fireworks miles and gio had set off for the hell of it. blue, pink, purple, red bursts of light that seemed so familiar to him. he stares hard, trying to figure out where it comes from.
"i feel like we are significantly too pussy to be breaking into an amusement park with these people. calls for either of us going into cardiac arrest. or both, give the bloggers somethin' to really sink their teeth into," suminar pants, eyes dancing all around the sky to catch every colour before they dissipate into the darkness.
he doesn't say anything for a second, and just looks at her. that little quippy statement alone let him know the harsh reality of subsiding his feelings. the feeling of familiarity was her. she was those bursts of colourful light.
he is not katy perry though. so, he wasn't gonna get corny and call her a firework.
"you good, fike? you're kinda gonna burst my small appendix," she stifles a laugh, referring the fact that he was gripping her so tight.
he quickly relieves whatever awkwardness he may have conjured for himself by picking her up and throwing her over his shoulders, declaring they go on a ride despite her loud protest.
all the way up at the top of the ferris wheel, tinecia watches on at the two people who claimed that the other wasn't feeling them. she just wished she just become something of a black cupid and just shoot an arrow at one of them right now.
max, on the other hand, was getting high as a fucking kite, blowing out the smoke from his blunt into the air.
"baby."
he slowly looks back down at his girlfriend, a slight cloud still coming from his mouth. when she points at their two friends (who kinda looked like blobs from afar like this) max can't help but kiss his teeth.
"he's gonna end up knockin' on her door one day to beat that pussy up. you don't have to worry about that shit, beautiful," he claims and takes another hit. tinecia hits him in the arm, looking genuinely disgusted.
"ew, max! don't say that shit."
"what?" he exclaims, "it's not even me who thought of that! apparently, the author wrote that scene already."
"and if you keep talkin' shit, watch you mysteriously disappear from this story! you not that special!" a voice from the sky calls out and both of them look up in bewilderment (and a little fear, too).
"yo, i gotta stop smokin' this shit..."
