She had been seeing Karlie Kloss behind your back, a year ago which made you regret saying to her proposal.
She's a cheater.
Taylor’s smile faltered as she noticed something off about your vibe, she could see the anger and jealousy in your eyes and she knew why, she messed up big time this time.
“Why are you looking at me like that..?”
Taylor shifted her eyes away as guilt clouded her mind.
You stood there in silence, you were absolutely speechless at the fact that your girlfriend, the most beautiful, talented woman on the planet, cheated on you… the anger was boiling inside of you, this made it harder for you because honestly, you loved her. She was the love of your life.
You wanted to yell but you didn’t say anything, the silence felt deafening with every passing second. Taylor knew what happened, she just had to hear it from you.
After what felt like an eternity, you finally mustered up the courage to speak. You let out a shaky breath, trying to remain calm and not lose it.
"Did you cheat?”You blurted out, your voice cold and distant.
Taylor didn’t even try to deny it, she just stared right at you, not saying a word. The silence was back again. It felt like she froze in place as she looked at you, waiting for you to say something else.
"Answer me truthfully, Taylor"
Taylor flinched at your blunt tone, she hated that she disappointed you, she hated it so much. And she hated that she couldn’t lie to you to avoid the inevitable, she knew she had to answer that
“I did.”Taylor said, a deep shame and guilt filling her every word. She hated the fact that she threw away something so perfect and special to you, for a night of pleasure. She couldn’t believe herself.
"How many times?" you sighed looking at her eyes slowly getting overwhelmed by my feeling of betrayal. Taylor could tell that you were hurting, it pained her to watch you like this. But you needed answers, you deserved to know the truth. She couldn’t look at you, she was too ashamed.
“Twice..”
You sighed again before looking up avoiding to tear up.
Taylor could hear you trying to hold back tears, you were a little successful but she could still hear your voice choking up a bit. She hated herself for doing this to you and for not being there for you right now.
Taylor’s eyes finally met yours, she could tell just how much she hurt you. Her guilt was overwhelming, she wanted to apologize but she knew no words could fix this.
"Shit!, why did I even love you?" You gasped trying to stay calm.
Taylor just stared at you in silence, she was too ashamed to answer. Her silence broke as you saw tears roll down her cheeks, all of her guilt and shame just boiled up, she just couldn’t hold it in.
“I’m so sorry.. I’m so damn sorry..”
"You're Not Fucking Sorry!" You yelled.
Taylor flinched as you shouted at her, her shame and guilt quickly turning into anger, anger at herself. How could she be so stupid?! How did it come to this?
“IM FUCKING SORRY! IM SORRY, I DON’T KNOW WHAT GOT INTO ME AND-“
She cut herself off, sadmess quickly turning into embarrassment. There’s no use in arguing, she knows what she did and she knows it was unforgivable.
"And what!? You fucked some brunette girl in a friend's party!!"
Taylor’s eyes widened as you yelled and brought up the other girl, you found out all about that night? How did you find out? Taylor felt her anger getting the better of her, she hated that you were right. She messed up, so bad.
“She was just a random girl and it was just for a night! It didn’t mean anything it-“She cut herself off yet again, that made her sound like a selfish jerk, which she probably was.
Taylor looked down at her hands, a mix of sadness and anger filling her every word as she finally met your eyes again.
“She meant nothing, you mean everything to me. She was just.. i have no excuse and i know you’re rightfully mad but PLEASE. I am so sorry, please give me a second chance.”Taylor said, tears were still rolling down her cheeks. She was begging you, hoping that you’d still be with her and fix this mess.
"why did you do that Tay" you whimpered as my tears race down my face.
Taylor froze for a moment, no words to describe why she did it. She just sighed as her frustration and anger turned back to shame.
“I.. don’t know. I just wanted something new. Something exciting. I thought I was getting bored of our relationship so I-“
She couldn’t finish her sentence, she just hated that she felt that way. It wasn’t your fault that she felt that way and she took it out on you. Not fair at all.
"you were bored."
Taylor just remained silent, you saw right through her. Why couldn’t she just be honest? She felt shame every time she remembered how she did that to you.
“Yeah..” Taylor said, her voice soft and quiet.
"fuck!, you could've told you early"
Taylor didn’t have a reply to that, she could’ve definitely told you instead of cheating. She felt guilty all because of her own selfish decisions. She wanted something better and now she was paying the price.
Taylor just stared down at her hands, she couldn’t look at you.
"you should confronted me early, Tay we could've broke off the engagement"
Taylor flinched hearing the last part, she couldn’t believe you said that with conviction. She felt a gut punch and a little bit of panic rose up through her throat.
“B-but.. I-I don’t want to break up.. I still love you. You’re the love of my life…”
“I just thought- you know, I thought that everything was getting dull and I was getting bored with what we had. But that doesn’t mean I wanted to end it, I just-“
Taylor’s eyes met yours, desperation rose up in her eyes as you just stared blankly at her.
“Please.. please don’t break up with me. I’ll make it up to you, I swear! I’ll make sure we never get that bored again, I’ll be the best fiancée and girlfriend you’ve ever had.” She said, trying every way to convince you not to break up with her. She just couldn’t lose you.
“Think about our life, our future! We don’t need to break up over this. One stupid mistake doesn’t mean we have to throw away everything we built together.” Taylor said, reaching out and grabbing your hand, she just wanted you to believe her and not end things. She still loved you…
"Is not just one stupid mistake, Taylor!! You broke my trust"
Tears welled up in her eyes, it pained her so much to think of how she hurt you.
“I know I did, but I could fix this. I know that I could. I’m begging you, please just give me a second chance. I’ll spend my whole life making it up to you and making you happy, I swear.”
"No."
Taylor froze, she couldn’t believe what she just heard. You said no?
“Please, I’m begging you. I don’t know what I’ll do if we break up.. I couldn’t handle losing you. I just- I need one more chance. Please..”
Taylor’s grip on your hand tightened, she was begging you now and she wouldn’t stop.
“Think about all that we’ve done together! All the good times and the fun times, the special moments that we shared. Do you really want it all to go to waste over one mistake?”She said, now reaching her other hand to hold yours. She wasn’t letting go.
"you should have think of that before you cheated on me" you coldly replied pulling away from her.
Taylor winced, your words cut her like razor blades. This is what she deserved, she regretted everything she did and wished she could take it all back.
She kept her eyes to the ground, her shoulders shaking in sadness and guilt. She didn’t have a reply, she messed up badly and destroyed everything. She had no one to blame but herself.
"Leave."
Your tone was cold and your response was short and blunt. You wanted her gone and she knew she had no argument to fight back with. This was it, the end of your relationship.
Taylor’s eyes were filled with so much sadness and guilt, the only thing she could do was nod slowly.
You took off the engagement ring, Taylor just watched as you pulled off the ring. Her heart broke with that gesture, her whole world came falling down with it. You were really done with her..
You give her the ring and smiled bluntly, Taylor took the ring, she couldn’t even look you in the eyes anymore. All she could feel was guilt and sadness. She was about to break down but she was trying to hold it in. You didn’t even put up a fight when you ended things.. it really was over.
"Leave Taylor"
Taylor was speechless, all she could do was let out a soft whimper as you ordered her to leave. She was about to leave before she decided to let you know one more thing.

Taylor flinched at your words again, your tone had so much anger and hurt behind it. Taylor couldn’t blame you, she was the reason for it all. She broke your trust, destroyed everything between you two.
"Please Leave" Taylor sighed, knowing that she should leave. She stayed quiet for a moment, she wanted to say so many more things but she wouldn’t have the chance.
Eventually she turned around and left.

The public was shocked by this news, there was never any drama between the two and they were always known as the “couple goals” couple. The news of their breakup only shocked the public more, wondering why they broke up.
Taylor woke up to a headline article about their breakup. The headline read “Taylor Swift and her fiancé broke up after her cheating scandal” Taylor’s heart sank once she read the words. She had no choice but to click on the article and read more about it.
She screamed and throw her phone hard to the wall. She was angry and upset. She messed up everything she’d built with you. There’s no one to blame but herself for her stupid actions.
Her scream could be heard throughout her house, she was so angry, upset and hurt. Her phone broke from her throw, she was mad at herself. Her actions led to this, you ending things was perfectly understandable. Taylor couldn’t help but feel hurt by all of this. She knew she ruined it all.
