The forest was alive with the sounds of nature, the rustling of leaves, the chirping of birds, and the gentle breeze that whispered through the trees. Kunti, with her graceful and nurturing presence, was cradling her newborn son, Yudhishthir, in her arms.
She looked down at him with a tender smile, feeling the warmth and weight of his tiny body against her chest. Pandu sat beside her, his eyes filled with love and adoration as he watched his wife and their precious child. He reached out to gently stroke Yudhishthir's soft cheek, his heart swelling with joy at the sight of their beautiful son.
As Kunti looked up at Pandu, he gazed back at her with a loving and determined expression.
"Kunti, aisa kehte hai ki Kshatriyo hetu sabse mahatwapurn unka bal hota hai. Akaashvaani se yeh toh siddh hai ki Mera putra Yudhishthir ke bada Raja banega. Parantu Raja tab hi sammanit hota hai jab uske paas bal ho. Mujhe ek aisa putra chahiye Kunti, jisme sahastra gajo ka bal ho." Pandu said.
Kunti fell into contemplation for a moment, wondering which god should she call upon now that can bestow her a son as strong as her husband wants.
Pandu said, "Mujhe ek aisa putra chahiye Kunti, jo apne bhujao ke bal se paravto ko mitti mei mila de, ghane se ghane vano ko ukhaad de, samudra ko ucchaal de !"
A smile appeared on the face of Kunti, as she said, "Aisi prachand shakti toh keval Vayudev ke paas hai. Unse praapt putra mei, awashya yeh gun honge."
Pandu was elated hearing her words, "Satyavachan Shubhey ! Aaj hi mantra ucharan kar, Vayudev ka awahan karo."
"Jaisa aap kahe." Kunti smiled.
Meanwhile, from a distance, Madri observed them engaged in conversation while she diligently prepared the food. A profound ache resonated within her heart as she witnessed Kunti and Pandu, her own fervent yearning for a child smoldering deep within her being.
Yet, she concealed her emotions, fully aware of the potential awkwardness that would arise from seeking her co-wife's assistance in this matter. However, as Madri beheld Kunti tenderly cradling Yudhishthir in her arms, a torrent of love and sorrow surged through her eyes. She yearned for the day when she would finally experience the bliss of holding her own child.

Vyas asked, "Yeh tumne kya kiya Gandhari ?" as he beld the hard mass of flesh.
Gandhari lowered her face in shame, "Jab maine suna ki Kunti ko Ugte Surya ke samaan tejasvi putra praapt huya hai.... Toh mai apne dukh aur krodh ko rok nahi paayi, Tapodhan. Mahadev ne mujhe vardaan diya tha ki mujhe 100 putra praapt honge, aapne bhi poorv mei mujhe aashwasan diya tha 100 putro ka. Parantu Maine iss maans ke pind ko janm diya hai."
"Mahadev ka vardaan kabhi afallit nahi hoga, Subalputri." Vyas replied, "Aur mera kaha bhi kabhi khaali nahi jata. Maine toh upahaas mei bhi kabhi asatya nahi kaha."
He then looked at the maid-servants and commanded, "Shigreh 100 matke leke aao aur unhe ghee se bhar do. Aur iss maans ke pind par sheetal jal chhidko."
After sprinkling cool water on the mass of flesh, Ved Vyas, with a sense of purpose and precision, embarked on the task of dividing this immense entity into a hundred distinct parts, each fragment of the embryo was no larger than a thumb.
As he was working, a thought came in the mind of Gandhari, 'Nisandeh ab mere 100 putro ka janm awashya hoga. Parantu yadi ek putri bhi hoti toh mere man ko adhik santosh mil jata.'
"Maharishi, aagya ho toh ek vinti Karu ?" Gandhari asked demurely.
Vyas looked at her as he was putting each piece of embryo in the pot filled with ghee, "Kaho."
"Yadi 100 putro ke atirikt, ek kanya bhi praapt ho jaaye toh mere pati dauhitra ke punya se praapt hone wale uttam loko se bhi vanchit nahi rahenge. Aur kehte hai, ki streeyo ko jamai se apne putra se bhi adhik sneh hota hai. Yadi maine satya mei tap, yagya, aur hom kiya hai, yadi maine gurujano ki sewa kar unhe prasann kiya hai toh mujhe ek 100 putro ke atirikt ek putri awashya pradaan kare." Gandhari requested joining her hands.
Vyas had already fragmented the embryos in a hundred parts, but he did see that some amount of flesh was still left which would be enough for a daughter which Gandhari was desiring.
"Subalputri, maans ke pind ka ek bhaag aur bacha hai. Isse tumhe apne man ke anuroop ek saubhagyashalini putri praapt ho jaayegi." Vyas assured.
He then asked for one more pot filled with ghee, and in that he placed the embryo of the girl. And once all the pots were sealed securely, they concealed away in a secret spot which was carefully guarded.
And after telling Gandhari how much time should pass before the pots were broken open, Ved Vyas went away to the mountainous Himalayas to perform his austerities.

And, I think this is the first instance of test tube babies.... Or even better Artificial wombs.
And when I talked to this with my cousin who is in the medical field, she said it maybe is possible to happen because by putting the embryo in ghee, you're essentially providing it the fat it needs to grow~
