An emotion that everyone is well acquainted with
In the midst of the thousand 'what ifs' and countless doubts
Just like the light of the fireflies
Its hope that takes over
And makes us beleive that maybe,just maybe
It's possible to get something,do something,or be a certain way.
Hope lights up the path for us
And gives us company
When we're drowning in worry
But why is it that even in the most impossible situations we hope?
Sometimes hope only brings pain.
