Rudrakash POV:
Is this girl even real? Enemy? Academic rivalry? Seriously? Getting same position shouldn't be an issue, then why? I should confirm with her but what will I ask? As much as I know her , it won't take much time to reveal about this rivalry thing to me after all she is an angry bird.
~Flashback start~
"INAYA, why are you angry all of sudden?" Lavanya took Inaya at a corner nearby where a window was present and asked.
Rudrakash was just passing through corridor when he heard Lavanya's voice from inside, making his steps velocity to turn zero and secretly listen their conversation.
He isn't someone who do eavesdropping but 'why is Inaya angry?' Thought made him stop.
"Khuch nahi" Inaya said rolling her eyes.
(Nothing)
"Reason" Lavanya said in authoritative tone which made Inaya realise that she can't hide or lie to her friend.
"I don't wanna have contact with Rudrakash"
"All of sudden, why?"
"He is my academic rival, my enemy"
"What the hell?"
"Yes, we got the same position and now I want to go ahead from him"
"Are you serious? You never behaved ill then why...."
"I am serious and Damn ahead with my rivalry" Inaya cut Lavanya and then turned to go in their usual doubt session, meet up session was long ago before their first test was replaced by doubt sessions. They after lectures meet at a place for half an hour.
~Flashback end ~
Yesterday result was announced and we went too Cafe, I felt she was ignoring even didn't dare to glance at me but shrugged off, Now everything is coming clear why she is ignoring me and again being strange. During prep, tests and before results she was all good, calling me to clear her doubts and sometimes I too do same but started ignoring after result announced. Anyways If she is high on her ego, I am none less. Just she speak once and done, Rivalry will begin then Ms. Inaya Sharma.
Author POV:
Everyone by then gathered at their meet up place which was called as 'Our adda', happily named by Inaya.
Inaya was smiling and talking, completely ignoring Rudrakash's presence while Rudrakash was thinking for a way to let this out from her mouth.
Suddenly Inaya asked a question to Karan which Rudrakash intentionally replied first before Karan do, "Use common sense, question aise nahi ho sakta"
(Use common sense, Question can't be done in this way)
"I do have lot, do u need some? Wait one need brain to store that and you don't seem to have one, and ye ho sakta hai"
(And this can be done)
"I have even it's advanced version, you should learn the same , kiddo. And being a medical student , such words Like not having a brain, don't you think is injustice with bio? Also nahi ho sakta h"
(Also can't be done)
"Me kiddo? Then you? Uncle ji? No no Dada ji, must take seat otherwise you will feel weak on your own legs Mr. And I must advice you to take humor classes cause it seems you lost that somewhere in garbage." She smirked.
After replying they were smirking to each other until and unless other speak which made them think for a good comeback.
"Teenager not whatever rubbish you said, you must take common sense and logic classes as you never had one"
"You better don't mess with me Mr. Rudrakash Rathore and don't interrupt in my doubts"
"Not even interested or have time to mess with you Ms. Inaya Sharma, and doubts ? They were shitty questions not even an actual doubt, grow up. And didn't interrupt As before I answered you, simple. Isn't it?"
"You......Leave it don't wanna waste my precious time. And now I don't need any answer from you, we are academically at same position. Thus, we are rivals"
"Ohh. So now miss is challenging me, will have great fun in going ahead"
"Never, I will make sure to not you go ahead."
"Will see"
"Yea, happily"
Both looked straight in each others eyes whole time. Abhigyan and Lavanya was standing their being a statue, still proceeding all things while Karan was noticing each and every word. After that last line they both moved to their respective rooms, Inaya's back was facing boys hostel while Rudrakash's back was facing girls. They both crossed each other but their shoulders collide, making them fall into another argument.
"YOU....ANDHA" Inaya shouted.
(Andha=Blind)
"YOU dummy" Rudrakash shouted but kinda wishpered last word turning towards his hostel without looking at Ianya who was gazing him, shooting daggers at him. If eye could kill then they for sure have killed each other long when the were busy in fighting few seconds before.
"Mummy?" Inaya asked confused while Lavanya and Abhigyan controlled their laugh after this small banter, they were pretty serious before but this banter was interesting for them. Karan was all serious, making plan to kill Rudrakash for his act.
"DUMMY, idiot"
"Ohh dummy then ok.. wait DUMMY huhh you muttonhead"
"You crackhead"
"Dumbass"
"Dunce"
"ENOUGH!!!" Karan shouted. They were literally using synonyms of a mere word - stupid. Karan got frustrated and shouted, due to reflex both stood straight Along with Lavanya and Abhigyan and after eyeing each other Inaya went towards hostel followed by Lavanya who tried to stop her but Inaya didn't listen. Same on other side Rudrakash took big steps towards hostel followed by Abhigyan while Karan made a call to Shevansh and Amyra, letting them know what happened now and help him in convincing Rudrakash.
~Timeskip~
It was now Dinner time, Inaya already told Lavanya to pack her food while Lavanya nodded understanding her friend's situation, though Inaya was wrong and Lavanya did attempts to make her understand infact Reet and Shweta were informed about the same, they too tried but all failed. Her ego was taking best of her , Her anger issues couldn't be tolerated by someone easily. Prisha was also aware about all this , she was aware about her sister's anger more well than anyone other so she just didn't say anything but ' Don't do something wrong Inaya, I am there' was all she said at last. Lavanya wasn't aware about past still.
Here, Karan , Abhigyan, Shevansh and Amyra sighed after their failed 2 hours attempts to make Rudraksh understand but his ego and anger issues weren't less than Inaya's one. He sternly denied the fact that he is wrong. Abhigyan wasn't aware about their past but still got an idea that it left imprints on their life. Rudrakash too told to pack his dinner.
Canteen:
Lavanya entered and saw Abhigyan and Karan sitting and silently having their dinner. She brought her plate and Karan shifted to give her place.
They were eating in silence when Karan broke seeing always chirping girl going silent. He clear throat before saying ," What happened Lavanya? Inaya nahi aayi?"
(What happened Lavanya? Inaya didn't come?)
"Nahi gusse mai hai wo, pack krke le jana hai uska dinner. Rudrakash?"
(Nope she is angry, have to pack her dinner. Rudrakash?)
"Same with him" Abhigyan replied.
"Ye sb kab tk aise chalega?" Lavanya asked after a break all of sudden.
(How long will this go on?)
"Pata nahi, dono ke ego and anger issues kam nahi" Karan replied.
(Don't know, both ego and anger issues aren't less)
"You know what let it go with flow, hum chahakr bhi khuch nahi kar sakte. Let's see kitne din aise rehte hai" Abhigyan said.
(You know what let it go with flow, we can't do even if we want to. Let's see how many days they live like this)
"Haa" Lavanya sighed not liking her first year to be dramatic but how can she forget the fact she chose Inaya in her life and her life is way dramatic. Though, Inaya start distancing herself once she feel close to someone not dragging them towards her dramatic life, she infact never let her confessions or feelings to be out with anyone. Just her shitty secrets is what people know. Still she couldn't help with dramas happened among mutuals. Lavanya neither anyone blamed her but it was her freaking mind that made her think other way.
After having dinner, they went to their respective rooms. Talked with family and after studying slept. Inaya and Rudrakash too paused the unknown thinking and dozed off..
