Things had taken a turn for the worse has the group found themselves imprisoned down in Shang Tsung's dungeon
The dungeon itself was a truly revolting place as it was filled with grotesque experiments and corpses
A banging sound was heard in the dungeon as Baraka who they also captured was trying to use his brute strength to break them free
" You've been at that for hours" a now blind Kenshi says their attempt to help Mileena went horribly wrong resulting in him loosing his vision
" If you could see you'd know why" Baraka says as his eyes linger on the expirments clearly he didn't want to end up like one of them
" That's not happening is it" Kenshi says rhetorically " Keep talking will you? To keep my mind off this"
" Tell me about life before you got sick" he asks Baraka
Baraka tells him about his life and family and how Tarkat had killed his entire family but him essentially ruining his once happy life
Cage groans as he sits up holding his head in pain " This hangover" once he sees Kenshi though he stands up and goes to the now blind swordsman side
" Danmit, How bad's the pain" he asks
" Excruciating" Kenshi says
" You saved me I won't forget that" Cage says thankfully
" But you may just regret it" Baraka says as he stops banging on the bars of their cell
" What are you.." Cage tries to speak but is interrupted by distant screaming it's only then he realize their dire situation
Kung Lao let's out an annoyed scoff as he stands up " Where the hell is Y/N"
" You worried about him" Cage asks
Kung Lao shakes his head " No, it's just he might be our only shot out of here"
They stopped talking once they heard a heavy door being swinged open
" Who's that" Cage asks
" Our jailor" Baraka replies simply
The jailor walked past their cell and grabbed some meat out a bucket he then began to toss it into the other cells
He walked up to the groups cell " How is he" he said asking about Kenshi
" His eyes our gouged out, Guess" Cage says sarcastically
The jailor picks up a small container from a side table and hands it to Cage " That will dull the pain"
Cage eyes it wearily but walks over to Kenshi
" Your vile to be part of this" Baraka says as he grabs a hold of the bars
" You are Shang Tsung's prisoner... I am his slave" the man says " He has my family, He'll kill them if I don't obey"
Cage begins to apply the ointment to a spare piece of cloth he had and places it on Kenshi like a blindfold
They learn that Shang Tsung had learnt his shape-shifting abilities they also learnt their jailor was Zeterran and that he was quite unique amongst his kind
Their conversations was cut short though by the arrival of Shang Tsung
" Are they ready, It's time" Shang Tsung asked
" Time for what, Sorcerer" Baraka questioned
" Replication experiments" he said but his usual confident demeanor faded for a moment and was replaced with anger
" But I'll be saving the most horrible of experiments for your ally who seems to have stolen all my exquisite Wines" he says in a small outburst of rage
" Are you telling me is getting drunk while we're stuck here" Kung Lao says in annoyance
" Liu Kang won't let you get away with this" Cage says
Shang Tsung chuckled " He'll never find out what happened if already sent out forces to find your companion"
Shang Tsung teleported away once again and the jailor got ready to leave himself
" You don't have to do this" Baraka told him
" It's either you or my family" he said before finally leaving but before he does he releases some infected Tarkat victims to attack the group
He raises the bars forcing the group to ready themselves for the coming fight
But just as three of the creatures are about to make their way to the group their heads are leaved clean off
The group recognizes the weapon used to cause it immediately the scythe after all did seem to chill the air with each cleave
They soon saw it's owner walking out from behind the piller " Hey *hiccup* guys" he laughs
" We've got to talk about your timing" Cage says shaking his head as he jumps into the action
Baraka uses his blades to cut the creatures limb from limb while Cage and Kung Lao used their kombat skills
Kenshi was staggering to his feet at the sound of battle but was still unsure of the situation unluckily for him one of the creatures had seen him and was about to attack him
But before it could it was leaved in two by Y/N who lazily rested his scythe on his shoulder " The hell happened to you"
" Can we first get out of here then talk" Kung Lao says kicking one creature in the jaw
Y/N sighs " Fine fine out the way weaklings" he claves the last two near creatures and stands infornt of the group as another batch of creatures charge at them
" I hope you got a plan" Baraka says
Y/N raises his arm with his open hand facing the creatures " I got half a plan"
They all felt now wasn't the time for the drunken reapers half ass plans but that all changed once blue fire burst from his palm incinerating the creatures
" See it worked" he said pleased with himself as he walked forward
More howls were heard as even more creatures came burling towards them from all directions " Oh C'mon just how may are there" Cage groans
They all continued fighting but the numbers were to much for some of the fighters as the wounded Kenshi and Cage were thrown into some kinda experimental pods
Kung lao fought off a couple of the creatures and made his way to his hat he immediately began using it to decapitate the creatures as he stood alongside Baraka
Y/N stood in the center of a group of growling creatures but they seemed hesitant to attack him
" Well C'mon now I don't have all day uglies" he says cockily the comment was enough to enraged them but he simply raised his scythe and swung in a full circle decapitating them all
It seed had they had finally finished the fight when electricity began to spark above the pods
The three turned around and it would seem as if the jailor had caused it
" Uh guys" Kung Lao said they all turned back and saw a much larger creature approaching them it even had similar blades to Baraka
Y/N smirked what was one more ugly thing to cut down after all
" You guys free those two I'll handle this thing" the two didn't argue with him and left to help Cage and Kenshi
The creature let out a disturbing howl as it charged at Y/N it raised its arm above its head and brought is crashing down towards Y/N
He raised his scythe in defense the blades meeting but the creatures grotesque face had a surprised expression as it's blade shattered upon impact
" Oh did baby's toy break" Y/N laughed
This only enraged the creature as it raised its over arm and did the same thing
Y/N side stepped the attack and the blade connected with the floor and with a swift swing Y/N used his scythe to severed it's arm
It let out a pained howl as it stumbled back as blood gushed from it's wound
Y/N though had a bored expression upon his face as his scythe rested upon his shoulder
The creature looked at him with fear " Not right not" it rambled as it kept taking steps backwards
" Don't tell me your scared" Y/N said in a low tone his hood causing his face to be hidden but the one thing the creature saw was the glowing crimson eyes that belonged to the reaper
" Monster... Stay... Away" it shrieked and turned to run but before it took another step Y/N shot a blue fireball at it incinerating it as it screamed out in pain
Baraka had ripped the pods apart and freed Cage and Kenshi
Kung lao and Cage helped Kenshi as he was struggling to stand but before the group got far they were confronted by their jailor
" Shang Tsung will punish me for this by torturing my family" he was getting ready to attack Baraka before he did though the air around him got colder
He felt an terrifying presence behind him when he turned around he saw Y/N he gulped and almost stumbled back
" Were going get out the way or die" Y/N stated and walked past him
