-'CHAPTER 1'-
SEASON 1 EPISODE 15; THE BENDERS

Evangeline Clark didn't believe in luck, she didn't believe that one was simply born with more good or bad possibilities than anyone else but as she stood hands against the cold metal bars she couldn't help but believe she was truly unlucky. It was rare that someone had to fight for their life once, but twice Evangeline felt cursed.

"Are you hurt?" She asks softly to the man who was just waking up. The handsome brunette boy lay unconscious in the cell next to her, his eyes furrowed as he met the woman's eye. His right cheek was a deep shaded purple mixed with dried blood. He looked like shit but she couldn't imagine she looked any better with her mascara smudges and the purple bruise on her neck that continued to deepen.

"You're Evangeline," he mutters in realization.

The raven haired woman raises a brow. "You heard of me," she tilts her head.

"Yeah, I'm here to save you," he chimes.

"My romeo," she says sarcastically, trying to keep the mood light.

The brunette chuckles lightly "Yeah it's a work in progress." he rubs the back of his neck.

"What a great job you're doing," the man in the farther cell chimes in. A man the raven haired woman met when she was first thrown in here yesterday. She had learned his name to be Alvin.

"Your Alvin Jenkins," the new guy whispers. He turns back to Evangeline. "They've been looking for you both."

"Yeah well their doing a hell of a job," Alvin mutters.

"You found us," Evangeline shrugs, leaning on the metal bars. "That means someone else will too," the raven haired woman rubs her arms, trying to warm herself up. Her skin shivered in the chilly air, and she deeply regretted not bringing a coat to check her mail as the red tank top did little to warm her.

"Yeah, my brother will come for me," the man says without a doubt in his tone. It made Evangeline think of her sister. How she didn't hesitate to try and save her, how Emi didn't hesitate either, how her baby sister still died.

Evangeline shook the memory from her mind. "What's your name?" she inquires.

"Sam," the brunette mutters. "What took us?" he questions.

The woman shrugs, "A couple of rednecks."

"What did it look like?".

it? Evangeline gave him a blank stare. "A couple of rednecks I don't really know didn't get too good of a look. Why?"

Sam simply started kicking the metal bars, and Evangeline had to respect the desire to survive. It was a feeling she was familiar with. What stumped the woman was what these people wanted. They fed them, seemingly they wanted to keep them alive. It seemed they were just locked in some old barn. Sadist perhaps?

Evangeline was almost positive it wasn't the thing that took her years back as she remembered getting kidnapped this time, not to mention the woman was free last time, hunted like prey though this didn't seem much better.

Evangeline settled in the corner of her cold cell laying down as she shut her eyes, the woman was so tired, so tired of fighting, or surviving, so she simply closed her eyes and let sleep overtake her.

Evangeline woke in the same cold cell. She rubbed her groggy eyes, trying her best to ignore the pounding sensation in her skull and the cold that seemed to seep into her bones and make a home in her heart.

"You good," Sam asks gently, looking at her with concerned eyes.

"What do you think?" Alvin chimes, his voice groggy.

"I'm alright Sam thanks" Evangline gives him a soft smile. She was alive, and that's enough for her.

A loud click rings around the cold barn as Alvin's door sways open.

"Maybe you knocked a screw loose," he mutters to Sam, hope in his voice.

"You should stay. It could be a trap. This is way too easy," Sam chimes in.

Evangeline nods in agreement.

Alvin doesn't listen blinded by the desire to escape; he bolts to his door cautiously exiting. "I'll get help for both of you," he whispers.

"No, i'm serious. This might be a trap," Sam yells, but it falls on deaf ears as Jenkins leaves.

Evangeline and Sam share a look of concern as the sound of his footsteps fades.

Evangeline's stomach turns in hunger as she dazes trying to fall asleep yet every sound makes her jump from the small leak in the roof causing water to splash against the pavement to the muffled sound of the wind howling. The raven haired woman felt the cold down to her core as she shook, her teeth chattering together.

"Are you alright?" Sam inquires softly. It had been a while since a new woman took Jenkins' place, an officer who seemingly got hit in the head as she sat in the cell next to Sam.

"Are you Sam Winchester?" the cop inquired.

"Yeah."

"Your cousin is looking for you."

Sam huffs in relief, "Thank God."
Not shortly after the creak of a door is heard, Evangeline averts her eyes to the man who opened it, he was a tall brunette with a handsome face. The man's eyes lit up when he spotted Sam as he walked to his cell.

"Sam," his deep voice chimes. "Are you hurt?"

"No, I'm fine," the brunette smiles.

"Damn, it's good to see you." The man slams the cell, looking for a way to open it. "These locks look like they're going to be a bitch" the man mutters.

"There's some kind of automatic control they press to open it" Evangeline chimes in.

The man finally looks at her, his eyes raking over her "You good" he mutters.

"I'm breathing," the woman shrugs.

The man nods "have you seen them" he turns to Sam.

"Yeah they're just people," the brunette mutters.

"Getting rusty there kid, what do they want" the man asks as he opens what seems to be the control panel.

"I don't know they let Jenkins go, it seemed like some kind of trap".

It's not long before Sam's cousin who Evangeline found out was named Dean left to find some key.

Dean was gone for about 5 minutes before he's brought back, this time by the sons of bitches who kidnapped the rest of them. They threw Dean in a cage, blood dripping from his forehead as he groaned in pain.

"It's a shame he'd be fun to hunt" one of the rednecks chimes.

Angry floods Evangeline at the mere sight of the men. She was tired of feeling hopeless, and she would certainly not die, not today, not after fighting so hard for her life before. The woman stands "hunt me instead" she speaks up her voice taking a cold tone. She looked dead serious.

One of the men looks at her before they all start laughing.

One of them, an old ugly man, steps toward her. "You're getting ahead of yourself, little Missy, don't you think? '' he speaks in a mocking voice, his country accent thick making her all the more angry.

"Hey," Dean yells as he rattles his bar. "You wanna mess with someone? I'm over here," he calls.

Evangeline doesn't falter. Her voice doesn't waver, and her eyes remain challenging as she stares at him. "I've been hunted by far scarier and stronger men than some weirdo rednecks," she spits. There was truth in her words as she remembered the man or the thing that chased her many nights ago.

"Hear that" the man laughs as he turns to the others "little girly made the track team and now she thinks she could outrun us" the men's laughs fill the silent barn echoing from the walls.

"Leave her alone," Sam chimes in, hands wrapped around the metal bars as his eyebrows furrowed.

"I can have you all dead at my feet by the end of the night," she smiles, small and calm. A deadly beauty.

The old man's eyes glinted with amusement at the fire that resided in the woman's eyes. He walks over to the panel Dean was looking at earlier, pulling out a key from his pocket. He opens it before unlocking the woman's door.

"Alright, little Missy." Before he could even finish his first world, Evangeline was out of the cage sprinting toward the forest. "Let's see how far you get.
