Happy reading 💕

Ayansh dragged his feet in the hallway of the house towards his parents room. His heart felt heavy just at the thought of his mother.

It wasn't going to be easy, he knew that because trying to talk to the person who is your mother and to whom you have never spoken in years was surely difficult.

He wasn't afraid of her reaction. He was afraid that he'd mess up something. Maybe she would end up crying because of him or what if he couldn't reach to her expectations of being a good son.

He wasn't used to express his love for the people around him. It was different for Aadhya because he live with her more than anyone else.

She have seen every second of his day. Surely it was awkward with her in the early days but the fact that it went smoothly as the days passed.

About his mother, Avantika, he have been living with her for more than 24 years now and in these years, he doesn't even remember talking to her for 10 minutes straight.

He rubbed his palms together and heaved out a deep sigh before rubbing his palms on his face. He halted on his tracks while he stood outside the room of his parents.

He couldn't think of how he was going to initiate the conversation with them.

He moved inside the room and kept the plate on the table while Naveen followed him inside. He stood there waiting for Avantika to walk out of the washroom while Naveen stood there, folding his arms on his chest.

He gulped down the saliva looking at the delicious south Indian food on the table along with freshly fried kachoris.

"Me taste kar lu?" He asked his son in a slow whisper and tried to pick up one kachori but Ayansh smacked his father's hand away and glared at him.

(Should I taste?)

"Aapke liye nhi hai," He told him and saw his father sulking with a scoff.

(Not for you,)

"Ye jo teri Maa hai na, she loves me more." Naveen said proudly and shrugged his shoulders.

(She's your mother but she loves me more.)

"Did I ever say otherwise?" Ayansh raised his eyebrows and saw his father turning around to leave when he heard slight disturbances on the other side of the bathroom door and gripped the hem his father's kurta, indicating him not to leave.

Naveen tilted his head to look at his son and smirked.

"5 gulab jamuns," He gestured his son while showing his palm, indicating 5 numbers while Ayansh cursed under his breath knowing how his father was trying to take advantage of his weakness.

"2," He argued knowing well about Naveen's health who was slight diabetic.

"5," Naveen stood there firmly on his demand until he heard the door of the bathroom opening revealing Avantika.

She switched her glance between the two males standing in the room while Ayansh was still holding the corner of his father's kurta and raised her eyebrows.

"What's with 5 and 2?" She asked based on whatever she heard while she walked out of the bathroom.

"He was bribing me for 5 gulabjamuns," Ayansh pointed at his father before he left the fabric who seemed frightened by his statement and vigorously shook his head.

"He's lying." Naveen tried to defend herself while his son looked at him with shocked expression. How could his father lie on his face while he was standing there.

"Are you serious Dad? You're lying on my face." Ayansh argued when Avantika walked to her vanity to work on her skincare.

"No Avni, don't trust him. Tumhe lagta hai me ese krunga?" Ayansh rolled his eyes on his father's dramatic self meanwhile Naveen walked to Avantika and stood behind her, who glared at him through the mirror.

(Do you think I'd do that?)

"I'm not lying Avni, Tumhare skincare ki kasam-

"Don't you dare." Avantika turned around with a scowl on her face.

Ayansh who was standing in a corner pressed his lips together to control his laugh after he let out a chuckle and looked at his father who faked the hurt through his eyes.

He immediately maintained his posture when she looked in his direction and cleared his throat. Then her eyes fell on the plate, kept on the table and a smile adored her lips.

"Na beta sunta hai, na biwi. Ja rha hu me sanyaas lene." Naveen muttered under his breath and slowly started walking out of the room thinking that one of them might try to stop him but they didn't reach his expectations.

(No one listens to me, neither my son nor my wife.)

He walked out of the room and flinched a little but heaved out a sigh when he recognized Aadhya standing just outside his room.

He raised his eyebrows to ask her the reason she was standing there and she pointed inside the room. Naveen nodded and blinked his eyes in assurance before he started walking away from there, followed by Aadhya.

"Papa," She whisper called him and jogged a little to match his pace.

"Sab thik hoga na?" She again asked with a whisper as they reached the stairs and started walking down.

(Will everything be alright?)

"Haa, sab thik hoga." Naveen replied with the same whisper tone but soon realised they were nowhere near their room, so cleared his throat.

(Yes, it will be.)

"So what should we do now until they talk?" He asked as they climbed off the stairs and walked into the living room.

"Let's cook something," Aadhya squealed in excitement and pointed towards the kitchen.

"Ayansh ki sangati ka asar ho rha hai," She heard Naveen saying with a chuckle and smiled in embarrassment.

(Influence of your husband.)

"So what do you want to learn?" He asked and started walking towards the kitchen.

"Pasta," She came up with a dish, earning a nod from her father-in-law and walked inside the kitchen, following him.

"By the way papa, I was thinking something." She initiated the conversation once Naveen started boiling pasta.

"What is it?"

"How about me and Ayansh Remarry?" Naveen stopped on his tracks once listening to her when he was going to take put vegetables and cheese from the fridge.

He turned around and looked at her with a smile.

"Like I always wanted this. The moment I realised that I'd be spending my life with him. I wanted to remarry him, to create all those Memories which we couldn't due to circumstances." She explained and waited for his response, who nodded his head.

"And one more thing. I'm really sorry for what Ahaan did-

"Papa." Aadhya cut him off in the middle and walked to him.

"That's all in the past now. I have moved on, it doesn't affect me anymore. I mean it does but I'm already taking a therapy so I know it won't be affecting me at all in the nearest future." She added with a smile, bringing a smile to his face as well.

"And forgive him. Ho gya, he's been away from this house for a year now and he realised his mistake so forgive-

"Let's not talk about this Aadhya. We don't share same opinion on this one." He told her and patted her shoulder before he turned around and took out vegetables and cheese from the fridge.

Aadhya couldn't understand how he was not able to forgive his own son until she realised Naveen have gone through the same thing, even worse. He had kids with Ayansh's biological mother.

"Haa you want to remarry Ayansh, batao Kab nikalwana hai muhrat?" He plastered his face with a smile and asked her who understood his previous statement and decided to remain quite.

(When I have to look for the auspicious date?)

"Nhi muhrat abhi nhi. First I Need to propose him for marriage, than we'll look after everything." Naveen furrowed his eyebrows in confusion listening to her.

"And I told you because I needed to take someone's advice and you're the best person because you won't reveal my little secret to Ayansh." She told him excitedly and took the vegetables from him before she started washing them.

"Vo sab to thik hai beta lekin why you'll propose him?" He asked, taking out a pan.

(Everything's okay but...)

"Because I want to. Doesn't matter who propose whom, at the end of the day we're together." She explained prior to washing vegetables and took a chopping board to cut the vegetables.

"Lao muje do. If you cut your hand by mistake, your husband won't spare me." She chuckled listening to her fathter-in-law who tried to take chopping board from her.

"No it's fine Papa. I know how to chop vegetables." She informed him and started chopping the onions.

"Aadhya beta. You're right that it doesn't matter who should propose whom but you see in a relationship, it's a man who should always propose the woman." Naveen resumed the unfinished conversation.

Aadhya twitched her eyebrows.

"Don't you think it's a little misogynistic?" She mumbled, trying not to offend her father-in-law.

"It's not. When you're proposing someone means you're willing to take their responsibility for a lifetime. It's not just about love you share. It's about the basic necessities you're going to provide them, you're going to take care of the woman and your kids." He tried to explain her.

"Of course woman can take care of herself, she's responsible and can figure out her necessities but there are some undefined rules in a relationship. Either both of you propose or just the man because a woman leave everything behind just be with her man so the least a man can do is to promise her the lifetime of love and responsiveness." He told her.

"I couldn't get it." She mumbled, with an apologetic face.

"It's fine. Just wait a little, who knows if Ayansh is preparing something for you?" He raised his eyebrows and she jumped a little on her place in excitement.

"You mean a proposal?" She asked like a happy kid. Naveen chuckled a little and patted her head.

"Who knows, just wait a little." She nodded her head, biting her lips while trying to hide her smile.

A silence followed the conversation and she was done chopping the vegetables. Naveen started cooking the paste while Aadhya watched the whole process with focus and concentration, taking notes in her phone in between.

"Vese Papa, I wanted to suggest something." She broke the silence and Naveen nodded his head, asking her to continue.

"Ruhi, when are you introducing her to everyone?" She asked.

"I have done my share of work. I introduced her to Maa, Manish and Divya when you guys were in Australia. Now it's Ayansh's share of work to introduce her to all the younger ones." He informed her.

Aadhya gasped at the new information.

"Dadi?"

"She's fine. She'll take some time to accept the information because it's completely new. She's also reluctant to accept that Ruhi is my child but I told her, I have already had all the tests done in the past. But then too, she'll take time." Naveem explained her.

"That's fine. I'll ask Ayansh to introduce her to everyone now so that she don't miss out anything that happens in our family afterall she's also a part of this family." A soft smile adored Naveen's face listening to Aadhya as he took out the pasta on bowls.

He turned to her and patted her head with a smile.

"Now I know, no matter what happens, my Ruhi won't be alone in this house." He heaved out a sigh.

"Of course she won't be. Ham sab hai na uske sath." Aadhya smiled him in assurance.

(We all are with her.)

Meanwhile Ayansh fidgeted with his fingers not knowing what to say and how to say. Not having the courage to say anything, he started dragging his feet towards the door while crackling his knuckles.

His heart felt with each steps he took in the opposite direction and he was able to feel that weight on his heart that ached his throat.

As if he didn't say anything to her, he'd not be able to forgive himself, as if this was the last chance he was getting to erase all the differences and distances he had with his mother.

He stopped at the doorstep because opening the door and moving out seemed like a crime to him. With the corner of his eyes, he saw his mother braiding her hair and staring at the floor, he inhaled a deep breath.

The dead silence was killing him, at this moment he wanted to talk to his mother, to hug her and to feel that motherly warmth after years.

"Maa," He breathed out in the dead silence. It came out as a mere whisper but he felt his heart getting heavy, his throat started aching even more and the warm tears accumulated in the corner of his eyes.

"Aap maaf kar dengi na muje?" This time, he said it louder and clearer and he felt tears flowing down his cheeks.

(Will you forgive me?)

Avantika stopped once she realised Ayansh was saying something to her and looked in his direction.

"Ya phir shayad nhi. I know I have hurt you a lot." She furrowed her eyebrows and moved to him.

(Or maybe not.)

"I refused to accept you as my mother, I refused to eat the food you made. I did every possible thing that might have hurt-

"Ayansh," She tried to stop him but he shook his head, not moving his gaze from the floor.

"Let me say. I know I did hurt you a lot. I even screamed at you the number of times. I denied when you wanted to come to my school for parents teacher's meeting-

"It happened only for a few times," She cut him off.

"But it happened. I did not make a card for you on mother's day at the cost of my marks in the project. I did everything that did hurt you a lot," A sob escaped his lips and that's when Avantika realised that he was crying.

She gulped down and couldn't understand if she should hug him because years ago when she tried doing it when he was crying, he pushed her away and screamed at her to not to touch him again.

"Ayansh,"

"Nhi na, you're too good. Aap maaf bhi kar dengi muje but how will I forgive myself for all the things I did to you? Tell me if there's a way so that I can go back in the past and not hurt you?" He lifted his face to look up at her.

(You'll forgive me but....

She saw his reddened eyes and the tears flowing down his cheeks that ached her heart. Of all her kids, she couldn't see him cry because for her, he was still a little kid who did not grow up in front of her.

He was 8 years old when she first saw him face to face. He was reserved and talked very less unlike Shivam and Ahaan who were cheerful kids. He didn't behaved badly with her until he was told that she was going to marry his father.

He didn't scream at her until he was told that he would have to address her as his mother. He didn't pushed her away until he was told that she was going to replace his mother.

And when he was told this, he stopped eating the food she cooked, he stopped looking at her, he stopped speaking to her which he rarely did earlier. When he was 10, she married Naveen.

One day, she found him crying on the couch in the living room and no one was at home. She couldn't see him crying and walked to him to hug him and when she did she was pushed away with the force that she ended up on the floor.

Naveen saw that all and ended up slapping 11 year old kid for the first and last time.

She never knew the conversation the father-son duo had that day, but from that day onwards, everything changed. He stopped screaming at her. He started eating the food she cooked, and she remembered, months later on her birthday, she received a handmade card for the first time.

"You were a kid, Ayansh." She told him softly but he shook his head like a stubborn child.

"But I still misbehaved with you. Just because I was a child, I don't get a ticket to misbehave with anyone but I did with you," He gulped down the lump formed in his throat and wiped his nose.

"That's true but you were a kid who was hurt. You were a kid whose mother left him. You were the kid who was suddenly asked to call me your mother when you barely knew me. It's okay." She tired to assure him but he shook his head and wiped his tears.

"It's not." He argued making her sigh.

"Ayansh," She cupped her face and made him look at her. More tears rolled down his eyes when he felt the motherly warmth spreading across his skin for the first time in years.

"It's fine. Maaf use kiya jata ha jisse ham naraz hote hai but I was never angry with you. I understood your state of mind and it's okay." He shook his head again.

(We forgive someone we're upset with.)

"App acchi hai isliye muje maaf kar rhi-

(You're nice that's why you'll forgive me.)

"I'll throw you out of the house," She snapped at him and looked at him angrily. Ayansh gulped down hesitantly.

"Itni buri kafi hu na?" She asked taking him off guard and saw a smile spreading across her lips and heaved out a sigh in relief.

(Is that okay?)

"Okay enough now, let's eat the kachoris you got for me," She tried to cheer him up and started moving towards the table.

"There's more I wanted to say. I haven't completed yet." He followed his mother and she turned around to look at him.

"I have read all the things you want to say multiple times on my birthday and mother's day so let's forget it all, hmmm." She told him and he couldn't help but to look down in embarrassment. She held his hand and made him sit on the edge of the bed and sat beside him.

She picked up the kachori before she started feeding him.

"Ayansh, it's okay. You were a kid. Galtiya sabse hoti hai. Do I not make mistake? or your father or anyone in our family or even in this world. You made some mistakes too but you know at the end of the day you need to decide if you're concerned more about those mistakes or that person," She tried to explain him.

"For me your father, you and Ahaan were more important than all the mistakes you made and honestly I don't consider them as mistakes. It was just an immature behavior so forget it, hmm." She caressed his head earning a nod from him and opened her mouth when he was about to feed her.

"So you forgive me?" She shook her head which alerted him and he stopped eating for some seconds until she spoke her next sentence.

"Until you don't call me Maa," She told him a little hesitantly. She wasn't sure how he was going to consider her request.

Ayansh inhaled a deep breath and sighed. How light it felt to talk it out to his mother, only if he had shown this courage earlier, he wouldn't have been craving for mother's love for so long.

Not to forget, he's receiving that love but he had to hold himself back every time he wanted to address her mother, every time he wanted to hug her.

It wasn't easy seeing his siblings running to Avantika to hug her while he had to stand at a distance craving for the same love.

He knew it was his fault to begin with, she would have always accepted him with open arms but it was his weak heart which couldn't gather up the courage to shower his mother with the love she deserved.

"Maa," He whispered while his lips trembled and his eyes glistened with fresh tears.

"I wish..." He inhaled a deep breath to stop himself from sobbing and wiped the tears that rolled down his cheeks.

"I wish I had done this earlier," He rubbed his palms on his thighs which were sweating due to the rising anxiety in his body until he felt the her arm around his shoulder and the next moment, he was crying silently while keeping his head on his mother's shoulder.

"I wish too. I wish I shouldn't have hold myself back thinking you might not like it. I wish I hugged you when you topped the school or maybe when you were selected in your university or maybe when you won your first cooking competition." She wiped her tears and mumbled.

"I wish you weren't standing at a distance with longing eyes, every time I hugged Ahaan and Riya or when you used to eat alone while I fed them. I wanted to sit next to you and listen to your whining about how you messed up your school project or why you couldn't win that competition because the teacher favoured his favorite student."

Ayansh felt his heart getting heavy realising the fact that how much time he have wasted all these years while he could have lived happily.

"I wish I was the first one to whom you came when you messed up anything or when you liked someone for the first time or when you had the first fight with your girlfriend and didn't knew how to make it up for her. I wish you would have told me when you fell for Aadhya or what birthday gift you wanted to buy her. I wish I didn't get to know things about you from your father." Avantika felt her heart getting weak as she remembered things and wasn't there for him, no matter what the reason was.

Meanwhile Ayansh started feeling guilty thinking how much part of his life he missed and how much his mother missed because she was always the part of the family but never of his life.

"I wish you didn't hesitate to call me your mother because of your fear that made you think that I might leave you as well. I wish me tera vishwas jeet pati that I will never leave you or Naveen and I would never hurt any of you." Ayansh pulled himself back and shook his head.

He held his mother's hands and gave it an assuring squeeze.

"Don't blame yourself, Maa." He mumbled through his tears and got off to sit on the floor near her feet.

"It was my mistake, Kaash mene aapko hurt nhi kiya hota or to push you away from myself. I wish I had given you the place in my life that you have in my heart. Me kabhi himmat hi nhi kar paya," He mumbled and kept his head in her lap while more tears rolled down his cheeks.

He felt her hands running through his locks, patting his head to calm him down.

"Galati kisi ki nhi hai Aynash, bas kismet ki. Kaash......" Avantik stopped and wiped her tears and inhaled a deep breath.

(It was no one's fault. Just destiny.)

"Kaash mene tuje janam diya hota," She completed her sentence and heard a sob escaping his lips and felt him gripping her hands.

(I wish I had given you birth.)

"Kaash esa hota Maa," He mumbled and didn't hold himself back from crying because he couldn't.

(I wish this would have happened.)

"Kaash Aap Dad se pahle mili hoti,"

(I wish you had met Dad first.)

"I'm 7 years younger than your father. The age your Naveen married, mere sath hoti to child marriage hoti," She joked through her tears and felt him letting out a chuckle. He looked up to her after lifting his face from her lap.

(It would have been considered as child marriage)

"Haina, It's all Dad ki galti. Itni jaldi shadi hi nhi krte and maybe he would have met you," Ayansh spoke out the possibility making her laugh a little but then she remembered the time she first met Naveen.

(Yes. It's the fault of Dad. Who told him to marry this early,)

"Or maybe I wouldn't have met your father until all that mess was created," He nodded his head and their attention diverted to the other side when they heard a knock at the door.

"Naveen leave if you're on the door," Avantika yelled and looked at Ayansh who chuckled.

"Muje zaydaat se nikal denge aapke pati. He will be like you're taking my wife's attention." Ayansh mimicked his father and heard the feminine voice from outside.

(Your husband will throw me out of the property.)

"Maa, it's me." Ayansh looked at his mother with puppy eyes after hearing Aadhya's voice.

"Tumhari biwi muje nhi bolegi that I'm taking al of her husband's attention?" Avantika teased him whie raising her eyebrows. He shook his head and smiled a little when the door of the room opened.

(Won't your wife complain to me?)

"She is nice," He mumbled and glanced at the door before a scowl speared on his face seeing his father entering the room.

"Ye cheating hai, where's Aadhya?" He got up from the floor and questioned his father who shrugged it of like nothing.

"In your room and don't you think you should give some privacy to a couple as well instead of third whee- Before Naveen could complete the sentence, a pillow was thrown in his direction which he couldn't dodge.

"Budhhe ho rhe aap. Thodi sharam kro," Ayansh scoffed and proceeded to pick a kachori.

(You're getting old. Have some shame.)

"Budhha hoga tera aap."

(The one who's old is your father.)

Naveen snapped at him but soon realised what he said after he heard the mother-son duo laughing at him and turned his head to look back when Aadhya entered the room while holding her stomach.

Her whole face turned red when she couldn't hold herself from laughing hard and all three of them looked at her in surprise that soon turned into adoration.

Surely she was the one who always smiled, and stayed happy but it was a rare sight to see her laughing so hard that her stomach ached, her face turned red and it was even hard for her to breath.

"Aadhya tum to mat haso, I cooked pasta for you," Naveen whined and she tred to control her laugh but couldn't.

(Aadhya, don't laugh please.)

"You cooked for her? Sara pyaar beti ke liye aur patni ke liye kuch nhi?" Avantika turned serious all of the sudden and started complaining.

(All the love for your daughter and what about your wife?)

"And about me?" Ayansh raised his eyebrows but turned to look at his wife who wantd to say something between her laughs.

"Sorry....I....." She couldn't complete her sentence and started laughing again but soon started coughing.

Ayansh walked to her with a glass of water and rubbed her back to calm her down and saw tears forming in her eyes due to constant coughing.

"Calm down," He mumbled and made her sit on the bed before he made her drink some water.

"Aaram se, itna kon hasta hai," He schooled her but she let out a giggle.

(Relax, why would you laugh so much.)

"You should have been at my place and see how funny the whole conversation sounded," She told him with a grin and looked at Naveen who fake glared at her.

"I thought you were in my team," She stood up listening to him and walked to him before holding his hand into hers.

"We're one team papa," She encouraged him and Naveen smiled in victory and looked at his wife and son. He proudly fixed his collar while Aadhya giggled a little seeing the fake jealousy on their face.

"We are one team as well, haina Maa?" Ayansh walked to his mother and held her hand earning a firm nod from her while Aadhya and Naveen smiled in victory.

"We won," He heard Aadhya whispering and nodded his head. Soon they heard the phone ringing. Aadhya realised it was her phone and she took it out and saw Ruhi's name flashing on the screen.

She smiled widely and showed them the screen. Ayansh squinted his eyes as she picked up the phone and waved her a high.

"This is cheating, why would she call you and not me?' Ayansh complained to which everyone shrugged it off.

"Because I'm her favorite," Aadhya flipped her hair hearing giggles from the other side of the call. She held Avantika and Naveen's hand before sitting on the couch in between the couple.

Ruhi greeted her father and Avantika before they all started talking while looking at them, Ayansh smiled contently before he slowly walked out of the room.

He took out his phone and clicked on Ahaan's contact before he called him. His phone was picked up in two rings.

"Happy birthday Ahaan," He wished him in his nonchalant tone but soon he realised that the younger one was crying on the other side.

"I-I.... thought you....you won't with me t-this time as well," He sighed listening to his brother's hoarse and cracked voice until he heard Rithik's voice in the background followed by Shivam and Riya.

"Tu garden me hai?" He asked earning a positive response from the younger one and hanged up before he walked to the garden where he saw the younger ones sitting on the grass in the garden in a circle and a cake in between.

(Are you in the garden?)

"Bhaiya," Ahaan called him and all of them stood up. Rithik, Shivam and Riya looked at each other and then at Ayansh hesitantly while Ahaan walked towards the elder one to hug him.

Surely he didn't hug him back but he didn't stop the younger one as well.

"Bhai vo.... Ahaan bhai ka birthday tha so he came here..." Rithik ried to explain him as his voice was filled with hesitancy.

"Yeah we were celebrating outside only, that wasn't a problem right.." Riya joined in to defend themselves while Ahaan stood beside Ayansh who looked in his direction.

"It was me bhai, I couldn't do it last time with you all so I wanted to celebrate before I leave for U.S" Ahaan tried to defend all of them.

Before Ayansh could say anything, Shivam held his hand to stop him and shook his head.

"Maa aur Dad se mil ke jana," Ayansh told him before he turned his heels to walk away while everyone of them sighed in relief meanwhile Ahaan inhaled a sharp breath before he opened his mouth to say something.

(Don't leave before meeting Maa and Dad.)

"Can I stay here just for tomorrow?" He stopped on his tracks listening to his younger brother.

"Bhaiya, aapko aapki jaan pyaari nhi hai kya?" Rithik whispered to Ahaan which was heard by Ayansh as well.

(Don't you loge yourself anymore?)

"Just for tomorrow. I'm leaving for U.S. after three days so..." Ahaan walked to him and held his hand to ask for the permission.

"Sher ke muh me hath dalne ka shok hai ise," Shivam mumbled which cracked up Riya and Rithik who chuckled but immediately covered their mouth realising Ayansh was stil there.

(He loves to play with danger.)

"Please bhai," Ahaan requested to which Ayansh nodded his head.

"Stay here until you don't leave for U.S." He declared before he walked out of scene and they all gasped in surprise. A smile appeared on Riya's face and she hugged her brother.

"Finally, at least for some days but you'll be here," She mumbled while Rithik and Shivam eyed each other.

"Don't you think bhaiya aajkal jyada shant rahne lage hai, I though he'd explode and will shout at him," Rithik asked to his brother who nodded his head.

(Don't you think bhaiya is calmer than before.)

"Aajkal unki energy khi aur jati hai," Rithik coughed listening to his elder one.

(He's utilizing energy somewhere else.)

"Thoda jyada ho gya," Rithik said but heard him scoffing.

(It's too much.)

"Jyada, tera room unke room ke pas nhi hai na that's why." Rithik pressed his lips together when he heard his frustrated voice.

(You'd have known if your room was beside them.)

"Bas isliye chup hu kyuki kisi din meri bhi shadi hogi aur mera bhi room unke room ke pas hai," Rithik chuckled listening to him who rolled his eyes.

(I'm quite because someday I'll marry as well.)

"Me to shift ho jaunga." Rithik said proudly.

(I'll shift somewhere else.)

"Kiske sath? Ishika?" Rithik's eyes widened listening to his brother who smirked a little.

(With whom? Ishika?)

"For god's sake, I hate her," He snapped at his brother which caught the attention of other two siblings.

"Ishika ki baat ho rhi hai?" Ahaan asked and Rithik gasped at his words while Shivam and Riya pressed their lips together to hold back their laugh.

(Are you guys talking about Ishika?)

"Ishika Ishika Ishika, what the hell is wrong wit- Before he could complete his sentence, the phone in his pocket rang. He took out his phone and saw Ishika's name flashing on the screen.

Shivam who was standing next to him snatched the phone before picking it up and putting it on speaker.

"Rithik Rajvanshi, I'll kill you. How dare you to replace me with that bitch Sanya in our drama?" All of them heard her shouting through the phone.

"If you like her, go and fuck her somewhere else but how dare you to do that with me," Shivam immediately turned off the speaker and handed him the phone.

Rithik snatched the phone from him before he started walking away from there.

"What the fuck are you talking about?" Rithik shouted being clueless of whatever she was talking about before he walked away from there while the three who were left there eyed each other in awkwardness.

"Let's cut the cake," Shivam cleared his throat and sat down followed by the other two.

"Rithik?" Ahaan asked looking back to see Rithik who was nowhere to be seen.

"Vo nhi aayega. They are going to fight for hours now," Shivam shrugged it off like it was nothing new for him to see them like this.

Ayansh scrolled through his phone waiting for his wife. A while later, she walked into the room. Ayansh kept the phone aside when he saw her closing the gate behind and smiled at her.

"Your duty as daughter-in-law is over?" He raised his eyebrows earning a nod from her who climbed on the bed to lay beside her.

"Then now, be a good little wife for me," She gulped down listening to him as he hovered her. Hiding his face in the crook of her neck, he inhaled her scent. As much as his words sounded wild, his action weren't.

"Tired?" She asked him softy.

"I'm feeling light after that conversation with Maa," He confessed to her truthfully and smiling at his words, she ran her fingers through his locks.

"I'm proud of you," She held his face and made him look at her before she kissed his forehead.

"I wish I had done this earlier," She heard him saying and shook her head.

"It's fine. You weren't ready before. It took you some time to get over the past and start something new so it's okay. Don't feel guilty for what you couldn't do in past and think about the future which we can make right," He nodded his head listening to her and placed a feathery kiss on her neck.

"Yeah. I'll try to not let anything affect me," He said before moments of silence followed up between them.

"Tulip..." He called him and looked up to see her looking at him with nothing but love.

"We will shift to penthouse for some days, will it be okay with you?" He asked unsure about her reaction.

"Tumhare sath to me kahi bhi rah lu,Desert, mountains, forest...

(With you, I'll go anywhere.)

"Bas bas my Romantic baby," He cut her off in between.

"Abhi ke liye sirf penthouse baki jrurat pad to I'll let you know," She chuckled on his words.

(For now, just penthouse but if we ever needed something like that, I'll let you know.)

"Actually Ahaan wants to stay with everyone before he leaves for U.S. so I was asking if we can shift to penthouse for some days," She nodded her head, understanding his point.

"And I'll get my much needed privacy," He smirked, trailing his hands down her face to her neck and her cleavage but before he could do anything, she pushed him aside and got off the bed.

"I need to complete my night routine first," She informed him and walked into the bathroom.

"Kya matalb when I'll be ruining everything again."

To be continued.
