Prologue:
Yharim, The Jungle Tyrant, or whatever one might call him, has been defeated by The Terrarian. The world of Terraria has finally found its peace. However, The Terrarian appears unsatisfied despite all the adventures they've been through.
The Terrarian is a trio of players. The first is Xennary, The Melee. She exudes confidence in her actions and is the mastermind behind their favorite strategy, known as "I'm Front and You Guys Behind" or "Code 1." The second is Renjana, The Mage, a cold and careless guy who doesn't really care about anything around him except his two close friends. He has a peculiar attraction to beauty, akin to a drug. The last member is Grumm, The Ranger, their favorite and the clown, though lately, he has seemed a bit off.
Boredom, once felt by Yharim, begins to seep into their hearts. They summon The Ancient God, Goozma, only to slay her and steal her power, yet satisfaction eludes them. With unwavering confidence and a willingness to take great risks, The Terrarian decides to face The Original Gods, Noxus the Entropic God, and a Nameless Deity, soon.
On a tranquil night with a luminous moon and a sky full of glimmering stars, The Terrarians chilled on a cliff near the town. "You know, Renjana and Grumm, I'm glad to have met you two," Xennary says as she licks an ice cream.
"Hah? Of course, you are! Dude, without me, you couldn't even defeat Plantera!" Grumm laughs, reminiscing about the day they almost perished at the hands of Plantera.
"Hahaha, It would be a shame if this journey were to end soon," Renjana says, joining the chit-chat. "Well, of course, it'll end. We're gonna fight Noxus and a Nameless Deity, The Original Gods!" Grumm declares.
The laughter fades into an awkward silence, with everyone turning serious. "Yes, according to Calamitas, even Yharim couldn't defeat that Nameless Deity." Xennary solemnly speaks.
...
Suddenly, Grumm woke up on white-glowing stairs with a fire-like sky, feeling confused. He looked down but couldn't see anything except the infinite, white-glowing stairs. When he tried to descend, it felt like a loop, just walking in the same place. He then attempted to ascend, and slowly a land appeared at the end of the stairs. As he stepped onto it, the stairs vanished, and a voice emerged from nowhere
"Welcome, Grumm."
"In solitude, only you behold the heavenly splendor enveloping this realm."
"Your presence here has been ordained, so that you might fathom you and your friend's destiny."
"You and your friend had defeated The Hunt of the Old God, and The Dark One."
"That's good of you."
"Once triumphant, your fate shall interlace with mine once more, and you will be tested."
"Good Luck."
"Gasp!?" Grumm awoke, startled. "Is that?... No, of course not. It's just a dream—a bad dream," Grumm reassured himself. "It's been already a few months since we defeated Noxus," he spoke to himself. "And I can't stop dreaming about that thing." Uneasiness filled Grumm as he woke up, hastily donning his armor. "Every night, it's just the same terrifying nightmare. I don't think I can keep enduring this."
Later that night
It is nighttime in the World of Terraria. In the distance, you can see a glowing house with a cube appearance where the Terrarians lived. "As I said before, Renjana, you and Grumm stay in the back, preparing your power, and I will be in the front, becoming the damage recipient. Understood?" Xennary instructs.
The two Terrarians who are listening nod almost simultaneously and say, "Understood." While Xennary and Renjana prepare on their own, Grumm, remembering his dream, tries to start a chit-chat with Xennary.
With a cough, Grumm starts the conversation. "Hi, Xennary. Are you sure this strategy will work as you say? I mean, yeah, it always worked before, but the Nameless Deity is different because-"
"Heh, of course, you know nobody can't defeat the Mastermind of Xennary!" Xennary speaks with full confidence. "Heh, cocky," says Renjana.
"Hey! You don't deserve saying that because I will still be the one who FA-BRI-CATES the STRA-TE-GY." Xennary shouts louder with each word.
Renjana, holding up his hand, surrenders. "Alright, alright. Chill, girl. I was joking," says Renjana with his mischievous smile while looking at Xennary, who is now starting to calm down. Renjana says a word again. "It created not-" "I KNOW," once again shouts Xennary. Renjana can only shut his mouth up.
Look at those Terrarians, talking and punning with each other, laughing, and having fun. It's going to be sad if something bad happens to those two. Or is it?
Several days had passed since that memorable night on the same cliff.
"You guys ready?" Xennary asked, adjusting her helmet. Grumm hesitated, "I- I don't know, I'm so scared. Cu-" "What's there to be scared of, you idiot? They're just normal original deities that created the universe and shit." Xennary dismissed with her cocky tone. "Y- you're not helping," Grumm responded.
"By the way, where is Renjana?" Xennary inquired, but Grumm didn't answer. Instead, he just murmured about things he was scared of while stressfully scratching his head. "Wh- what if one of us dies? What if I die? What if you die? What if all three of us die? What if Renjana dies? What if, die? Die, if, what?" And so on.
"Coward," Xennary mocked. Not long after, Xennary found Renjana sitting on the edge of the cliff, gazing at their beautiful cube-shaped house. "Whatcha doing there? You should've prepared your stuff. This is gonna be the hardest shit we've ever faced."
"Stop being so bossy; come sit here," Renjana replied, patting the grass to his right, signaling for Xennary to join him. Xennary walked over and sat as Renjana had instructed.
A moment of awkward yet not entirely peaceful silence began. It wasn't entirely silent, as Grumm's murmurs could still be heard. Xennary took off her helmet, placing it on her lap. She seemed to enjoy the sensation of the wind tousling her ponytail, and the scenery of their cube-appearance house, making her remember of their long-past journey.
Not long after, with a relieved breath, Xennary initiated a casual conversation. "As I thought, you would make me feel this nostalgic sensation, like before we fought Yharim. I will never forget that; it was the first time I felt this way." "Yeah... but now it's different. We're truly on the cliff edge of our adventure," Renjana replied.
A few seconds later, Xennary asked, "Renjana, what would you do after this journey's end?" "Hmm... Maybe I'm gonna wander through the universe," Renjana answered, gazing at the sky. "Why?" Xennary inquired. "Even in this cruel world, there is still something beautiful, isn't it? Beautiful to be seen, beautiful to be heard, beautiful to be felt, and so on. We've witnessed many beautiful things in our past adventures, and I want to find more of it," Renjana explained while still looking at the sky, pointing with his finger in a random direction.
After their brief conversation, an awkward yet not entirely peaceful silence settled in once again.
The silence was broken by Grumm, who suddenly sat beside Xennary. "Grumm, are you good now?" Xennary asked. "I feel like shit, man," he answered, pinching his nose. It seemed like he was already feeling better about it.
"Now that you're feeling better, it's time to spawn it," declared Xennary, holding the item that could awaken the Nameless Deity. Upon hearing this, Renjana and Grumm stood up, joining her.
"Alright then, let's go to the arena," said Grumm, met only with a nod from Renjana, who seemed indifferent, and from Xennary, who was starting to feel nervous about the impending encounter.
Instead of spawning the deity, they found themselves surrounded by a blinding light. Before even one of them could react, they realized they were in a different place. "W-what just happened?" spoke Xennary. "It seems that instead of spawning them, we got teleported to a different place," answered Renjana. "So we made the arena just for nothing? We literally spent weeks on that shit!" grumbled Xennary.
"By the way, where are we?" asked Grumm. "Dunno, but this place seems a lot different than ours. Maybe we're in a different realm," answered Renjana. "Look, a tree! An apple tree!" exclaimed Xennary. "There's really nothing here. Maybe that tree has the answer."
They started to approach the tree. The surroundings began to darken and redden.
"This is it. This tree is responsible for the awakening of them," said Grumm.
Before the Nameless Deity awoke, Xennary felt the need to ensure her friends were ready. "Alright, after this, there's no turning back... I hope it goes well," she remarked.
The sky slowly darkened, the wind howled from every direction, and dozens of stars appeared on the horizon. Finally, the Nameless Deity, has awoken.
A brilliant light emerged in front of the Terrarian, accompanied by a multitude of hands reaching out from it.
"PREPARE YOUR POSITIONS, I WILL BE THE FIRST TO MAKE A MOVE!" Xennary screamed, dashing incredibly fast, almost able to dodge every attack.
The roar of the Nameless Deity rumbled through the entire sky, and stars began to rain upon Xennary. "Gaahh!" she exclaimed as one of the stars struck her. "Shit!" shouted Renjana while dashing toward the Nameless Deity with his Eternity, screaming, "Come here!"
"Xennary! You okay?" Asked Grumm, concerning
"Forget about me! Watch out! They're preparing another attack!"
With the Nameless Deity now surrounded by its ominous light, a rapier appeared between its hands. Intensely, a barrage of attacks and slashes burst forth from the Nameless Deity, while Xennary prepared her own counterattack. "Take this, you!" The Ark of Cosmos, Xennary's beloved weapon, thrust aggressively toward one of the Nameless Deity's hands.
SLASH! BRACK!
One of the Nameless Deity's hands fell to the ground.
-ARRGGHHH-
The Nameless Deity let out an incredibly loud scream. "They let their guard down! Release all the attacks you've got!" While being bombarded by magic and blasts, the Nameless Deity teleported out of harm's way and returned with a star clutched in one of its arms.
In a desperate move, Xennary fled towards the two Terrarians, healing herself with potions as she went.
"Keep dodging! The attacks get stronger after every burst!" advised Renjana. "HOLY FUCK! HOLY FUCK!" panicked Grumm.
"Hold your ground! I still need time to heal!" shouted Xennary.
Xennary was severely wounded, prompting Renjana to take the initiative and confront the Nameless Deity. "I'm going to hold it down! Prepare to counter-attack!"
"Roger that!" said Xennary. "Grumm, stay with me and provide some support!" Order Renjana. Grumm nodded, readying his gun.
With his weapon at the ready, Grumm waited for Renjana to unleash his magic. "Bring it on!" Renjana declared.
With a mighty roar, the Nameless Deity gripped the star with its arms, inducing significant gravitational force that transformed the star into a black hole.
"Shit, I need backup. Grumm!" The black hole followed Renjana, presenting the only opportunity for Grumm to prepare his Seven Striker and take aim.
With the black hole gone, the Nameless Deity reappeared in the distance, readying another attack.
But before it could strike, Grumm took a bold shot, and
-BANG-
That was a starshot because another of the Deity's arms got destroyed. Screaming in pain, they teleported out of the way, or that's what Grumm thought.
"WHAT TH-"
-SLASH-
Time seemed to freeze from Renjana's view as he witnessed his best friend tragically die. With only a few seconds to react, Renjana made a desperate and out-of-mind move, attempting to take Grumm's soul. Unfortunately, he could only grasp half of it. With half of his friend's soul, his speed and attacks increased exponentially.
"YOU MOTHER FUCKER!" Screams Renjana.
With cries and anger, Renjana moved at an incredible speed, dodging every attack thrown by the Nameless Deity while shooting magic from his beloved Fabstaff.
On the other side, Xennary was frozen. Her beautiful face, covered by the helmet she wore, couldn't express the turmoil within. Xennary slowly knelt, witnessing her best buddy split in two, with organs and blood starting to come out of his body, writhing and beating.
"XENNARY!! WE'LL SHED OUR TEARS LATER. NOW TAKE HIS SOUL AND END THIS SHIT!" Renjana screamed while continuing to fight.
Hearing that, Xennary unfroze. She rose quickly, dashed towards the soul, seized it, and then sprinted towards the Nameless Deity, preparing for a powerful swing with her Ark of Cosmos.
From there, only a barrage of swings and magic was unleashed by the two Terrarians against the Nameless Deity, and there were no more blasts, also bullets. Finally, with the addition of the new soul, the battle against Xeroc became almost easy.
