Evangeline's pov:
"IM BACK!" MALEFICENT
HOWLED. Everyone gasped and screamed, Jay keeping a hand on my arm as we took multiple steps back. "Go away mother," Mal said tiredly, holding up the wand.
Maleficent started laughing and snorted.
"Ha ha ha, she's so funny. You're very funny. Here. Hand me the wand, chop chop," Maleficent said. Mal held out the wand towards her mother.
"No!" Ben and I called. Mal then threw the wand to FG. FG immediately started waving it around. "Bippity-boppity—"
"Boo!" Maleficent interrupted, hitting her staff to the ground. I run and stand in front of Mal despite Jay's protest. I put up a protective shield and the Six of us were safe from her magic, I open my eyes and see everyone else around us frozen
"Psych." She laughed, before her eyes fell on me "A powerful one." She mumbled before walking to King Adam "Ooh. Ooh, in another time, in another time." She said flirtatiously making his glasses crooked
"Evil like me, don't you wanna be mean... Ow!"Maleficent yanked the wand out of Fairy godmother's hand. "Oh. Oh, no. Someone needs to pluck their nose hairs. Where shall we begin? I know. Why don't we start by getting rid of this"Maleficant teased before using a spell that yanked Ben's ring off of Mal's finger
"Perfect fit!" She exclaimed
The evil fairy turned to Ben "Falling in love is weak... And ridiculous. It's not what you want." She advised Mal
"You don't know what I want! Mom, have you ever once asked me what I want? I'm not you!" Mal exclaimed with a mixture of sadness and anger "Oh, obviously. I've had years and years and years and... Years of practice being evil. You'll get there." She informed her daughter
"No, I will not. And I really wish that you had never gotten there yourself." Mal said sadly "Love is not weak or ridiculous. It's actually really amazing" Mal gazed at Ben before looking back to her mother who's now shouting
"I know one thing, young lady. You have no room for love in your life!"
Mal looked shocked almost "Remember you have magic too." I remind in a whisper. Mal nodded before yanking her arm out "And now I command wand to my hand!" She instructed and the wand was ripped from Maleficants palms "Ha! Ha! It worked!" I laughed in shock
"I hardly think so. Frankly, this is tedious and very immature. Give me the wand. Give me the wand!" Maleficant shouted at us "Drama queen." I say in a sing song voice , and Jay grabs my wrist pulling me back "I love how playful you are , but now is not the time." Jay scolds me with a sincere smile and I nod
"Hold on, Mal. Maybe good really is more powerful than evil." Carlos took ahold of Mal's forearm
"Oh, please! You're killing me—" The evil fairies protest dies as Beignets and Dude run at the villan jumping on her "Arf! Oh! Oh, the breath! The breath! Get off me!" She throws the dogs away and they both scurry off .
Jay nudged me back and ran putting both hands on the villains staff , Maleficant looked deep into his eyes , hers turning green. She rubbed her hand along his muscles " Gaston should be jealous." She said before she flicked him back with extra force with her magic
I hurry to Jay and kneel down scanning his body "Enough! You all will regret this!" The Fairy shouted transforming into a dragon. She looks dead at Jay and I as we both slowly get up.
She shoots her fire at us but we roll out of the way , I hear the rest of our friends shouting . As Maleficant chases us . I finally get to a standing position "You wanna fight fire with fire? Let's fight." I groan
My eyes start glowing this gold color. My hands are sprinkling gold fire. I launch it at the dragon and it hits her in the wing. She launches her fire back and I do a backhand spring out of the way.
"Eva! Come on!" I hear Jay call worriedly . I nod before bringing my hands back and launching at her "Gah!" I exclaimed as I used most of my tolerance on that spell, and it nocked her back into a post . Which crumbled — slightly
I do five backhand springs before landing next Jay. I shake my head and he holds me cautiously "Magic mirror, show your bright light!" Evie shouted pointing her mirror at the dragons eyes light shooting out of it, temporarily blinding the dragon.
"Behind me, E! Leave my friends alone!" Mal instructed pushing in front of all of us as I rested my body against Jay's feeling overly tired . "This is between you and me, mother!" Then she started to chant a spell. "The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one. The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one." We all stood behind her.
"The strength of evil is good as none, when stands before five hearts as one!" Suddenly, Maleficent was surrounded by bright green smoke.
Fairy Godmother suddenly unfroze. "Oh!"
She exclaimed, looking around. When the smoke disappeared, Maleficent was a tiny lizard. We all looked at each other with confused expressions.
"What just happened?"
"I have no idea!"
"Did you do it?"
"I don't know!"
FG hurried towards us . "No, no, no, no," she said. "Your mother did. She shrank to the size of the love in her heart. That's why it's so itty-bitty."
Mal knelt down to her mother, "Is she gonna be like that forever?"
"Well, forever is a long time. You learned to love. So can she," Fairy Godmother told her.
Mal held out Fairy Godmother's wand towards her, "I believe this belongs to you."
Fairy Godmother took it with a smile. She knelt down and took Ben's ring off of the wand and handed it towards Mal. "And I believe this.. belongs to you," she said. Mal took it with an expression of thanks and put it on her finger.
Fairy Godmother stood up, "You all have earned an 'a' in goodness class. Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" Everyone was unfrozen now. Ben roared, running forward.
Ben nodded at something Mal had said before he picked her up and spun her around with a wide smile. You could feel the happiness radiate off of both of them as i turned to Jay.
Jay turned his head to me "Are you alright?" He asks me worriedly "All good just need a... croc nap." I said resting my body against his "Tired?" He teased and I look up at him "Very, but never to tired to party." I remind him and he laughed
Jay wrapped an arm around my waist and I rested my head on his shoulder once he did so.
A royal butler went up to the tiny purple lizard, Maleficent, and put the glass that had once covered Fairy Godmother's wand over the tiny amphibian. Mal ran to him. "Careful! That's my mom."
Jay wrapped an arm around me and an arm around Carlos. I wrapped her other arm around Gia and all of us held each other close. "Let's get this party started!" Jay called, making everyone laugh.
"OHAY, OHAY, НЕУ!"
Later on I'm standing next to Ella and Preston, watching everyone sing and dance "This has been the best month of my life." I tell them and they laugh understandingly "I can guess one of a few reasons." Preston gestured to Jay , who's singing and dancing with Carlos. Both trying to get Jane to dance "Go get him girl." Preston tapped my arm when Jay sits down on the stairs
I laugh and stride over to Jay feeling the music come to me "Feeling the power, let it all out
Like what you see in the mirror, shout." I grab Jays arm and lift him up with a smirk "We got the keys, the kingdom's ours ." I started walking up the stairs looking back at him with a smirk . And he quickly followed after me "Oh yeah!"
The chorus starts playing and we lock our hands together as we spin in a circle , Jay stands in front of me as we do the choreography. I pull him in "3,2,1, uh!" The music dropped and I pushed Jay's face away as we started moving in sync

AFTER THE PARTY AND we finished 'setting it off' Jay and I are sitting on the fountain. My go to spot for whenever I need to clear my head. "Okay well, what does that star look like?" I ask him with a smile "That's a chicken doing the Macarena." He replied confidently and I pushed his face away
I shiver feeling the breeze on me. Out the corner of my eye I see Jay unbuttoning his jacket and before I could protest he tosses it over my shoulder . I look up and see the northern star, and the smaller one next to it. My Mama and uncle Louis , that the stars are my uncle Ray and Auntie Evangeline, which is how I got my name. And my brothers got his middle name.
I instantly close my eyes and make a wish on the star "What are you doing?" Jay asked and I can feel him raising a brow "Wishing on a star." I mumble my eyes still closed "Aren't those just myths?" He questioned and I popped my eyes open
"That's what people think. But there dumb and wish on the biggest stars they see, those two stars." I point at Ray and Evangeline "Those two, will make any wish come true ." I tell him with a smile
Jay turns to me with a puzzled look "Go on, wish on the stars it'll come true, guaranteed." I promise and he finally sighs and closes his eyes, making a wish
He got off the fountain and held his hand for me to take. He helped me down and I stood in his arms us slightly swaying "Whatcha wish for?" I ask and he smirked "That despite what happened today you'll let me kiss you, and maybe some fireworks go off too" he shrugged and I laughed my head falling back
I slowly wrap my arms around his neck "That's a wish, that's definitely coming true." I flirt leaning in and pressing my lips to his. Jay instantly gives in and our lips move coherently
I hear a loud pop and I pull away with a smile and I look up, and see the initials 'J + E' in a big green heart . Jays face isn't only filled with love it's also shocked "See, wishes always come true." I smiled , he returned it "Hey Eva?" He asked and I nodded "Yea?"
"I love you too."
