Evangeline's pov:
THE CORONATION ARRIVED WAY faster than I planned. I'm laying in bed when Im shook out of my sleep "Rise and shine princess, time to start getting ready." An attendant said , I pulled my eye mask off and rubbed the sleep out of my eye before glancing at the clock. "It is 9:30 in the morning! Coronation isn't until 5:00!" I shouted , before Holden and Ben walked in "Why is everyone getting ready in my room?" I ask as McKenna , Leila, Kenneth , Ivy, and Ella followed suit
"Because you have the biggest one. And Ben's parents would kill us if we got ready in his room." Kenna shrugged . I flop back on my bed and Holden and Ben both pulled me to a standing position "You my dear, have a lot to get done so, up up." Holden said and I groaned
I walk into my bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face. I walk back out and get sat down in front of my vanity . The hairstylist looks at me in the mirror analyzing my Hair, before snapping he snaps his fingers "Got it!"
Finally after seven hours of hair and makeup Ella grabs my hand with a wide smile and I use my magic to put my dress on effectively. Everyone stands next to each other "You look beautiful." Leila and Her say in sync in awe holding their hands in front of their faces .
"Aw thank you guys, so do you guys. Evie did an amazing job." I compliment and they all courtesy, Ella had on a poofy sleeve purple satin dress, Leila had on a blue and gold detailed gown, that was overly long. McKenna had on a blue and white fancy jumpsuit with a cape like skirt. Ivy had on a red sheer bottom gown with light blue detail , and the boys all were fancy tuxes .
McKenna walked up to me and grabbed my hands "I may come off as careless, but I really do love you Eva." She spoke with a genuine smile on her lips "Oh I had no doubts about that." I said playfully making her laugh "Hardy har, but you look absolutely stunning." She complimented "That last word hurt to say, didn't it?" I wince with a raised brow "Like an arrow through the heart." She said dramatically and I gave her a hug before pulling back and putting on my final accessories
I hear a knock on the door "Come in!" I call out over my shoulder adjusting my bracelets and necklace , the door squeaks open "I'm finally here! I had to make sure everything was set in stone." Preston said as he walked into the room "And I brought someone along." He said and I turned around to see Jay next to him wearing a smile
I practically fall out of my vanity chair running to get to him, I scan his body from head to toe and he does the same to me. He's wearing a burgundy leather outfit, made by evie of course, because she's the only one who knows how to work magic that way "Wow— you look — wow." He stumbled over his words and I laugh "You look 'wow' too , Babe." He shook his head with laughter
"I meant you look beautiful, I mean you look 'wow' too but you look gorgeous." Jay complimented as I put my heels on "Why thank you, you look very handsome to." I replied and he held his arm out, I smiled and gladly took it as headed down to the carriage.
We walked over to our carriage . Jay helped me walk in before he walked up himself, the two of us settling down in the open Sage green carriage.
"I would have never thought that I would be in a pretty red carriage, beside the most gorgeous girl in the USA, in a royal procession line." Jay said, admiring his surroundings as the line began to move towards the church where Ben would be crowned King.
I chuckled and gave him a kiss on the cheek, my pink lipgloss leaving a clearish pink mark. I giggled and wiped it off. Ben's carriage stopped in front of the cathedral first, pulling away as soon as they started walking. I took a deep breath. Jay noticed and interlocked our fingers. I looked down at our hands then back to him, feeling a lot more relaxed. The footman opened up the door for the pair, Jay stepped out first, reaching his hand out so I could take it and walk out.
I gave a smile and wave to everyone and didn't stop until she reached Ben in front of the doors. Jay gave me a final kiss on the cheek before he followed Mal as they were escorted inside of the church. Ben engulfed me into a hug. "Here goes nothing." Ben whispered, we pulled back and smiled at each other
A royal guard took my hand and escorted to my spot in the front, where I await to be blessed as Royal Advisor. I look up and see Carlos, Evie , and Gia. Standing and looking at Jay and Mal with saddened expressions beside them was Holden, Kenneth and Leila, who were arm in arm and Leila was snuggling her head onto his shoulder. My heart fluttered with happiness and Ben started walking down the Aisle.
Fairy Godmother hugged Queen Belle and King Beast. She then placed King Adam's crown on Ben's head. Ben looked back at Mal and smiled, whilst Mal's seemed to try hard to smile back.
Fairy Godmother took her wand out of its case and stood in front of Ben. "Do you solemnly swear to govern the people of Auradon with justice and mercy, for as long as you shall reign?" She asked, raising a brow lightly.
"I do solemnly swear," Ben said proudly.
I smiled, looking at Jay for a split second who smiled back at me. When I looked away, out the corner of my eye I can see Jay's smile fall to a frown.
"Then it is my honor and my joy, to bless our new king," Fairy Godmother smiled. I clap my hands giddily . Just as she was about to bless Ben, a hand grabbed the wand out of her hands. Everyone in the building gasped, the hand belonging to Jane — Fairy Godmother's daughter.
She started waving her arms around uncontrollably and wobbling, trying to control the power of the wand. Jay stepped forward and shielded me with his body. I tried jumping to peek over his shoulder to see a streak of white light shoot out of the wand,
I try and use my magic to shoot the wand out of Jane's hand "I can't get a clear shot!" I exclaimed and Jay put his arm over my arm putting it down "She's not still enough, no point." He said hurriedly
"Child! What are you doing?" Fairy
Godmother yelled. "If you won't make me beautiful I'll do it myself!" Jane yelled, struggling with the wand.
Beams of light were shooting everywhere.
People were screaming and taking cover. Ben ran towards Mal, covering her protectively.
"Bippity-boppity-boo!" Jane said, sparks flying from the wand. It did no good. Sparks continued to fly out of the wand, if this were to keep up someone could get easily hurt.
Mal dashed forward and wrestled Jane for the wand. "Be careful Mal!" Queen Belle warned.
Mal yanked the wand out of Jane's hands. The wand stopped sparkling. Everyone backed away from Mal, now realizing that the wand was in the hands of a villain.
Ben and I both moved from our significant others and faced them "Mal," Ben said carefully, "Give me the wand."
"Stand back!" Mal said, pointing the wand towards him. "Mal?" I asked weakly. "It's okay, give us the wand." I said softly.
"Ben, Eva, I said stand back!" She shouted.
"I told you so!" Audrey said. Mal turned towards her with the wand, causing Audrey to gasp and lean backwards. "That's why you shut up!" I scold Audrey and everyone turn to me wide eyed, I hardly ever raise my voice. I had authority (non willingly) so there was no need for me to ever shout, and when I did, all of Auradon had known my patience was running thin.
The church doors burst open to reveal Evie, Gia, and Carlos running down the aisle. They ran to join Mal's side. "Come on!" Evie hissed. Jay then averted his gaze from me and toward Mal and the wand.
"Revenge time," he muttered uncertainty. A hurt expression quickly fell upon my face. I took a step back from the scene. "Jay?" I question , my eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. Jay didn't take a glance my way,
"Mal, please. Just give me the wand," Ben
said. "We have no choice, Ben!" Mal said, upset.
"Our parents -"
"Your parents made their a choice!" I exclaimed exasperated, standing beside Ben. I turn to Jay and Nodded , "Now you make yours."
Mal looked at me, then to be, then everyone else. "I think I want to be good," she said softly. "You are good," Ben insisted. "How do you know that?" Mal snapped.
"Because.. because I'm listening to my heart!" Ben said. Mal slightly lowered the wand. "I want to listen to my heart too," she said, as she turned to her friends. "And my heart is telling me that we are not like our parents." She pointed the wand at the floor, all evil intent forgotten.
"Scratching dude's belly makes you happy," she said, turning to Carlos. "Who would've thought?" She turned to Gia "You don't enjoy lying to get what you want. You like working for it, and Holden despite what you say" Mal laughed and so did the whole cathedral , she then turned to Evie
"And Evie, you do not need to play dumb to get a guy. You are so smart." Evie smiled, all though tears were spilling from her eyes. She turned to Jay "Stealing things isn't what you like , tourney makes you happy , yeah. But Evangeline makes your heart flutter. She's what makes you truly happy."
Jay turned to me with happy tears welling in his eyes, I smiled tears in my eyes to . Mal turned to face the group "I choose good you guys," Mal said, sticking her fist out.
"I choose good too," Jay said instantly, his fist joining Mal's. I let the tips of my lips tug up into a small smile. "Same here." Gia smiled her fist joining Mal and Jay's "I choose good too," Evie said as she placed her fist next to Mal , Gia, and Jay's. All that was left was Carlos. Everyone looked at him.
"So just to be clear, we don't have to worry about how really mad our parents are going to be?" Carlos asked. Everyone laughed. "Cause they're going to be really mad," he finished.
"Your parents can't reach you here, even if they do. I won't let them hurt you guys." I promised sending the group a wink.
"Okay then, good," Carlos said, putting his fists next to his friends' Mal nudged her head and Ben walked over while I hung back , "Ah, ah, ah. You too , princess Evangeline." Jay smiled holding his hand out I took it and he instantly pulled me into his side
Ben and I look up at each other and share a nod before connecting our fist in the middle and I lean my head on Jay's shoulder,
A plume of green smoke burst through the window and spiraled down to the floor, knocking me backwards, I quickly recovered and ran next to Jay. The smoke disappeared, revealing the one and only Maleficent.
"Oh come on!" I groaned
