• Back At the House And Dock
Felicity gets to the house going to the side grabbing her bike going to the front. She saw belly waiting with her bike.
" Cam invite you to." Felicity asked
" Yes." Belly said
Felicity nods as they got on their bikes riding off.
The wind blows through Felicity hair while her eyes is closed taking in the beautiful morning air. They arrived at the dock throwing their bikes down running to catch the boat.
Sometimes it kind of feels like no matter how hard I try, I just keep... Missing the boat.
The boat was already gone and the girls sighed waking back to their bikes riding home.
• Beach House
" Do we really have to physically sit for our portraits." Jeremiah asked making eggs
" Can't she just, like, look at a picture on her phone or something?"
" Okay, get out." Jeremiah tells Steven who was looking over his shoulders
" What? why?" Steven asked
" She needs to see you in the flesh in order to capture your essence. While your still young and hopeful." Laurel explained sitting at the island with her laptop
The boys laughed
"Her words." Laurel smiles
" Well, Conrad does not have hope, actually. He's hopeless, but my hangover smoothie It cures all." Jeremiah said
" Can you please just hurry up?" Conrad said for the couch
" Just go back to bed, alright?" Jeremiah tells him
" All right, seriously, Steven, get out." Jeremiah said getting annoyed with Steven
" Come on."
" This is a delicate science, and your heavy breathing is going to break the yolk." Jeremiah said
" Okay, okay, okay. Steven backed off
" She hasn't painted you since you were little. I think It'd be nice to have these portraits for when you're older." Laurel said
" Old. No. Steven starts
" When I'm older, I'm sure there'll be, like, like, holograms or something I can watch of my self, you know?" Steven says
Jere turns on the blender
" Just sit for your portraits. I don't see Conrad complaining." Laurel pointed out
" He'll complain when he's conscious." Jeremiah tells Laurel walking into the living room
" Hey. Here." Jeremiah gives him the drink
Conrad sat up " thank you."
" Come on, man. Hurry your ass up." Steven rushed " all right? I can't be late for my first day of work.
" we won't, we're good." Jeremiah assured

Steven slaps Jeremiah butt as he passes
Ooh! Jeremiah exclaim
" those Old county club boomers are going trip me so hard, man, they won't know what hit'em." Steven said thrusting his hips up

" Steven, I swear ." Laurel scoffed her son

" Come on, Laurel. My boy's got to get that bread." Jeremiah defense Steven

Just then the girls walking into the kitchen
" Good morning." Jeremiah greets them
" Good morning, Jere. Felicity smiles
" Felicity, belly. Where have you been." Laurel asked
" is that a bruise." Laurel questions Felicity

" You bummed into someone?" Laurel said confused
" Doesn't look that bad." Conrad inputs

" Uh, cereal?" Jeremiah asked the girls

Jeremiah gets two bowls and spoons putting them in front of the girls. Felicity grabs the cinnamon toast crunch pouring it in her bowl then the milk. She walks to the table sitting next to belly.
Susannah rushed into the kitchen with excitement " oh, my God! The girls are going to be debutantes."
" It's really not that big of a deal." Belly laughs
Susannah went to hugging the girls
" I'm sorry. Like, belly and Felicity?" Like my sister's?" Like, those things right there?" Steven said being annoying
" Stut up, cretin." Felicity Snapped back
" Okay. This is going to be fun. Just you wait. There's Is, uh.... there's the tea, the auction, the ball, of course, the rehearsal. I got to write this down." Susannah rambled on
She then gasps " We need to go shopping."
" That's sounds.... Expensive." Laurel hesitated
" oh, don't worry, laur. It's on me. it was my idea after all. And we still need to style you for your book party so... Susannah said sitting next to Laurel
" Belly are you sure want to do this?" It doesn't seem very you." Laurel asked
" It's not." Conrad joins the conversation
" Conrad, can you please be a little a little more supportive?" Susannah scoffed her son
" Now, which one of you is gonna be Felicity and belly escort to the Ball." Susannah asked
" Not me. I went went last year." Conrad said
" Yeah, and I swore off balls." Jeremiah says
Steven laughs
" The dances, dude." Jeremiah tells him
" Wow, guys. Stop fighting over us." Felicity sarcastically said
" I'm not going with either of you. I'm going to find my own date." Felicity informs

" Wikipedia says debutante balls require instruction in Morals and social etiquette." Laurel read of her laptop
" I'm going for a swim." Conrad said getting up
" They could use some etiquette. Yeah. Steven said
" No offense, Beck, but I don't feel like a country club is the best place to teach belly and Felicity about morals." Laurel tells her
" Laur, times has changed. There's a girl debbing this season, and she's bringing her girlfriend as her escort, and the club was fine with it." Susannah explained
" How very progressive of them." Laurel replies sarcastically
Felicity watch through the window as Conrad takes off his shirt diving into the pool. Belly looks at her sister with a smile. Jeremiah walks over to the table.
" Here you are cece." Jeremiah hand's her the drink snapping her out of it.
" Thanks." Felicity said
" No problem." Jeremiah said walking away
" Well, hurry up! We have shopping to do." Susannah smiles at the twins
" It's not like I was getting any work done anyway." Laurel said
Felicity finish her drink heading up stairs with belly. Felicity went in her bathroom brushing her teeth and washing her face after she puts on a hot pink crop top on top of the blue overalls pairing it with white sneakers and a pink purse. She thens puts her long black her into a high ponytail. Walking to her vanity putting on a little makeup.
When done Felicity walks out of her room just as belly. Belly hooks her arm with Felicity walking down the stairs to the mom's.
• Shopping
The girls, Laurel and Susannah are walking around the shops with bags in their hands. Belly points to the next store they all walk in.
Susannah and Laurel puts two blazer and shirts sets up to the girls. One was purple and white and one was pink and white. Belly had the purple and Felicity has pink. Susannah and Laurel hand's the girls dresses to try on. They both come out one bye one showing the moms the dresses.
Susannah gives the store lady the dresses and the outfits and her card. They are now off to the next store. Stopping in front of it they see fancy hats in the window.
" Okay, They're called " fascinators," and all the girls will be wearing them." Susannah explained
" Seriously?" Laurel questioned with a deadpanned look
" Seriously." Susannah repeated smiling
I don't know about this." Belly said, hesitating a little
" Come on!" Susannah said excitedly ushered the three of them into the shop.

The moms and Felicity are sitting in the comfortable chair with champagne and dr. Pepper watching belly try on different white dresses. Belly went first because she's the oldest. After going through the dresses belly find the perfect one. Now it's Felicity turn
Felicity goes in the dressing room putting on her first dress. She comes out wearing a white fluffy dress with spaghetti strips and ruffles at the end. Belly and the moms looked at with distaste.
Felicity went back into the dress room trying on another dress. She stepped out wearing a lace top with a long flowy bottom. It looks like it came from the 1800s. They shake their hands no.
" Next one." Susannah said
" Ready?" Susannah asked holding the curtain.
Laurel and belly who nodded
" here we go." Susannah let goes of the curtain stepping back.
Felicity walks out again wearing a white no sleeve fluffy dress with ruffles at the end. Laurel likes the dress. Belly kinda of likes it and Susannah disapproves shaking her head.
Hmm." Laurel approval
" No. Really?" Susannah said raising her eyebrows at Laurel
" What?" Laurel asked
Oh, what have I done?
Felicity falls to the ground with a tired look she was already regretting doing this. Laurel, belly and Susannah watch her fall.
" Oh no, oh boy." Susannah said scratching her head
" Are you okay, babe?" Laurel asked

Felicity walks out with her last dress. She is wearing a frily dress with puffy sleeves shoulders. She looked at her self in the mirror. Felicity didn't like the dress, at all. She turned around showing belly and the moms.

Laurel and Susannah said in different tones
" Yeah, it's something." Felicity spoke her dislike
" Oh, you look like a princess." Susannah gushed
" she looks like the tooth fairy." Laurel disagreeing
Belly agreed with her mom
Susannah gets up " ah. Look... At the details."
" Everyone's eyes will fall out of their heads when they see our girls." Susannah said smiling
" I love you so much, but you're ridiculous." Laurel said
" I love you so much, and I know I'm ridiculous." Susannah replies back laughing
A worker then comes over holding a dress that looks for Felicity. Felicity eyes lit up
" Or what about this one?" The worker asked
Susannah shock her head " oh, no, no, no, that's one's much too simple.
Felicity frowned at that
" But it does seem more like Felicity." Laurel tells her best friend softly
" Laur, trust me, these girls go all out." Susannah said
• Beach House
Conrad comes back from surfing he tries to walk up the stairs without being caught. Susannah was sitting on the couch reading a book when she hears foot steps.
" Honey?" Susannah said
" Hey, hon." Susannah calls out
Conrad sighs looking down "yeah."
" Would you change and meet me out back? I want to paint your portrait first." Susannah tells him
Conrad walks to the living room " why me?"
" Cause everyone else has things to do." Susannah said
" I have things to do, too, mom." Conrad said
" I think you can spare a few hours for your mother, hmm? Susannah raised her eyebrows
" Sure." Conrad agrees
" Great. I'll see you outside in ten?" Susannah said
" See you there." Conrad says walking away up the stairs
" Put on something nice." Susannah yelled after him
• The Country Club
The girls and Laurel make it to the country club. The girls gets out shutting the door they start to walk away but Laurel called them.
Felicity is wearing a light purple flowy dress with yellow flowers on it, white heels and her long black hair was pulled back with a twist And had a white fascinator on her head. Belly had on a blue dress with yellow flowers on it, white heels and her hair was down With a pink fascinator on her head. They're both also wearing white Gloves.
" Belly, Felicity." Laurel calls out as they stoped
" I just want you to know that if you decide you hate it or if the girls are mean or even if the food is bad, you can text me. I promise I won't say " I told you so." Laurel said
" We'll be fine." Felicity assured
" Humor me? Use our code phase, and I'll be right there."Laurel says
" Mom" belly sighed
" You remember it from when you guys were little, right?" Laurel asked
" Lemon jelly belly." Laurel, belly and Felicity say together
" Have fun." Laurel said turning on the engine driving off.
Felicity and belly started walking to the tea. They see Jeremiah walking towards them with towels in his hand. Felicity calls out to him but he didn't hear her.

Jeremiah hears his name being called. He looked up seeing the sisters. He smiles at them.
" Oh, my god. Uh, belly. Wow I didn't even recognize you ." Jeremiah said looking at her dress
" Tell me the truth. Do i look like a fool." Belly asked him
" Um... He laughs " uh, no, you look good. You look good." Jeremiah replied
Felicity looked at him with a smirk with her eyebrows raised
" Uh, let me walk you over." Jeremiah said
" What?" Felicity questions noticing him starting

Uh, let's go." Jeremiah Hooks his arms with the twins walking
" uh, are those pineapples." Jeremiah asked

" I-l have, but that is, for sure, a pineapple." Jeremiah said
" That's a nice pineapple dress you got there." Jeremiah complimented
" they have strawberry, raspberry, raspberry type of cookies. Oh they're to die for." Jeremiah tells them as they walk up stairs.
" I-l never thought l'd see the day where you were wearing fascinator." Jeremiah said
" Me either." Belly says as they walked into a room were the tea party is. Everyone stoped talking looking at them. Felicity shuffled uncomfortable. A lady walks up to them.
" Jeremiah." The lady says
" Paige." Jeremiah said back
" Where's your shirt." Paige asked
" It's always a pleasure." Jeremiah kiss Paige hand

" This is belly and cece. I mean Isabel and Felicity Conklin, the young women my mom told you about." Jeremiah explained

Felicity slaps him on the arm
They're late." Paige said

" You two are at table two." Paige tells the girls
" are those little brie and fig jam sandwiches with the prosciutto?" Jeremiah questions eyeing the food

Jeremiah walks to a table taking the treat shoving it in his mouth.

Felicity laughs watching Jere leave. She sighs looking at two seeing the two girls Conrad and Steven was with.
Oh, my gosh. That's the girl Conrad was kissing at the bonfire. And that's was the girl Steven was with. Ugh. FML.
The sisters walks over to the table sitting down in two empty seats next to each other. Belly sat next to Nicole and Felicity sat next to Shayla.
" Hi." Belly greets
" Hi." Some of the girls said
" Lemon jelly belly." Belly said under her breath, Felicity grabs her hand as she smiled
" Hey." Shayla said
" Hi." Felicity said back
" Is that from the other night?" Shayla asked
" Yeah." Felicity nodded
" Here let me fix it." Shayla said opening her purse pulling out foundation putting it on her bruise.
" I think we're good." Shayla smilies putting the foundation back in her purse

• Back At The Beach House
" How's Nicole." Susannah asked
" Mom. Can we not do this. Like, no. Uh, uh, you asked me to come sit for this portrait, and-and I'm here, I'm sitting, and I'm more than happy to be here, but can we not make this,like, a bonding experience, please." Conrad said
" Well, excuse me for trying to connect with my son before he leaves for a year." Susannah said
" Lily looked really nice In her New dress." Susannah tells him
" Look, if you want to spend your summer moping around, I can't stop you, but... No more sleeping till 2:00, no more day drinking. I want you doing something productive. You're getting a job." Susannah said
" Sure." Conrad nodded
" Great. Now sit still." Susannah smiles

• The Deb Tea
" I told my mom the only way I would do this if I could bring my girlfriend, ' cause I thought It would be a deal killer, but the club has been surprisingly chill about the whole thing." Marisa explained
Felicity saw in the corner of her eye Steven and Shayla talking. He pouried her tea as she whispered something in his ear.
" I'm honestly shocked." Dara said
The girls at the table nodded in agreement.
" Literally, Dara, I was expecting a conversion camp to spring out of the bushes." Marisa told her friend
Dara laughs "okay."
" No. Lesbians and debutante are, like, a completely jextaposing idea." Marisa stated

" Yea, we'll be juniors in the fall." Felicity replied
" So, is this your first summer here in cousins?" Dara questions
" No, we've been coming here for our entire life." Belly answered grinning brightly. Felicity nodded agreeing with her sister.
Belly then stares at the scones that on her plate.
" Yeah, they're ,like, family friends with Conrad and Jeremiah." Nicole informed

Shayla takes a flask of her purse pouring some in her tea cup.
" It's a tradition you'll someday pass on to your own daughters." Paige States
Shayla passes the flask to Gigi after pouring hers she passed it to the next person going around the table.
" It's formal marking of this passage of time between your teenage years and your adulthood." Paige explained " one ends, and the other begins. It's a journey generations of women before you have taken.
" Women who you can learn from and who can inspire you."
" Debs, at each table is a big sister who will guide you through the season. So, please introduce yourself." Paige said, smiling
" Hey, little sisters." Nicole said to the sisters

" Honestly, my parents made me do it last year because, you know, like, all woman in my family have done it." Nicole explained
" But my big sis was great, and I actually ended up having a lot of fun." Nicole said

Felicity saw a familiar head of curls walk by. She stands up looking at her sister.
" I'll be right back." Felicity tells her leaving

" Cece. What are you doing here?" Grayson asked coming back up the stairs
" Wait. Are a beb?" Grayson questions
" yeah, uh technically I am. Doing it with my sister." Felicity tells him
" Cool. You look great." Grayson complimented staring at her
Felicity blushes " thanks."
"Me and my sister went down to the marina yesterday, but, uh, your guys boat had already left." Felicity explain
" Seriously. Man" Grayson said
" Yeah. If you'd looked back towards the pier, you would've seen a sweaty version of me looking wistfully towards your boat." Felicity said
" Well, we never want you to be wishful." Grayson said, joking
" You know, I think it's too late. The wistfulness has sent in." Felicity shrugs
" No."
" No. I might be wishful forever." Felicity jokes
" Okay, well, do you think going to the dive in movie with me tonight might help with wishfulness?" Grayson asked
" Yeah, I think It would." Felicity nodded
" Can I have your number? So we can text." Grayson asked
" Of course." Felicity smiles
Felicity gave Grayson her phone as he type his number. He gives her back the phone.
" Here you go." Grayson said smiling
" Thanks."
" it's cam going to?" Felicity asked him
" Uh, no. Hes taking your sister somewhere else." Grayson said
" Ok. See you later." Felicity says
" See you later." Grayson smiles walking away.
