After a night of resting they went back on the road with Wukong on his cloud with Macaque resting beside him talking to one another "I still don’t see the issue, okay tell me what's wrong with my attitude master, please and I'll listen" Wukong said as Macaque rested on his lap "you're talking about eating people monkey! What do you mean?!" Tripitaka said as Zhu Bajie, Ao Lie, and Sha Wujing try not to laugh "yes BAD people, not the good ones" Wukong said shrugging his shoulders "that's still terrible!" Tripitaka said as he and the other three pilgrims try not to laugh "they're still gonna get the death penalty anyway, why not change it to the Wukong penalty I nom on them" Wukong said smirking
"Nooo!" Tripitaka said failing to not laugh along with Zhu Bajie "d-death penalty or not, you cannot eat people!" Tripitaka said trying calm down "alright alright, I still say it's a good idea" Wukong said with a shrug, Macaque shifted a bit in his sleep but didn't stir, Wukong looks down and gently stroke the tanned simians hair but then he noticed a large boulder with protection talisman and words carved on it saying 'Beware Of The Cursed Immortal', Wukong felt a sense of uneasiness when reading that and Sha Wujing, Zhu Bajie, Ao Lie, and Tripitaka must've felt the same when they saw the boulder "The Cursed Immortal, who's that?" Zhu Bajie said looking at the message "someone we shouldn't bump into in the future" Wukong said as they walked past the boulder
"Then Sha Wujing spotted something in the sky "look smoke!" The river spirit said pointing at the smoke "there must be a village nearby" Tripitaka said and they began to head to the direction of smoke. Soon they reached the village but their was no one there and it was quite "is the village abandoned?" Sha Wujing asked looking around, Wukong sniffs around and spotted a dying campfire with smoke coming off it "no they're here, just hiding I think" Wukong said shifting Macaque into his arms bridal-style hopping off his cloud. Tripitaka dismounted the white horse dragon and walks up to the nearest house "hello, is there anyone inside?" The monk asked knocking on the door
There was silence as the monk and pilgrims stood outside "are they even home?" Zhu Bajie said scratching his head, then the door opened a little bit but not enough either "who are you, what do you want?" The man asked looking at the pilgrims "I am Tripitaka and these are my disciples, we do not mean any harm I promise" Tripitaka said with a gentle smile, the man opens the door more and looks around outside "quickly come inside, hurry" the man said, the pilgrims quickly went inside with Ao Lie transforming into a human before going inside the home just as the man closes the door
When the pilgrims were inside they saw a woman holding a baby bundle up in a blanket, two little boys hugging her legs, and an elderly man and woman, huddled together "it's alright, they're not part of The Cursed Immortal" the man said walking up to his family before looking back at the group "you are not part of The Cursed Immortal, are you?" The man asked, the pilgrims shook their heads "we do not even know who he is" Sha Wujing said genuinely confused, the man looks at them before looking at his wife "go prepare tea for our guests" the man said taking the sleeping baby into his arms, the wife nodded and quickly went to make the tea, the elderly couple slowly sat down as the two young boys huddled behind the man "please have a seat" the man said motioning to the empty chairs, the pilgrims all sat down except Wukong who uses his tail
"Forgive me for introducing me and my family so late, I am Junjie, my wife's name is Jun, these are our two sons Kang and Xiu, my youngest son Qi, and these are my parents" Junjie said introducing his family to the pilgrims "it is nice to meet you all, but I must ask, are you and your family the only ones in this village?" Tripitaka asked looking at the family "no, we are not, there are other people and families in this village but they are hiding inside their homes" Junjie said as Jun returns with the tea placing the empty cups in front of the pilgrims before pouring the tea "hiding, from what?" Zhu Bajie asked raising an eyebrow "....The Cursed Immortal wolves" Junjie said holding his youngest son "The Cursed Immortal?" Wukong asked raising an eyebrow
"An evil being that brings and causes death and destruction wherever he goes, his eyes red as blood, hair blackest of night, and a heart of pure evil, his armies are the most dangerous and cruelest of demons killing everyone and sparing no one, many armies try to stop The Cursed Immortal, but they all failed, we have prayed and prayed to the gods to deliver us from this evil, but they have yet to answer our prayers" Junjie said looking at his sons "I pray every night for my sons to grow up without living in fear of The Cursed Immortal" Junjie said
The pilgrims were all shocked by what they heard 'so that's what the boulder meant, it was a warning' Wukong thought looking at Junjie "papa, I'm hungry" Xiu said tugging his father's pants "I know Xiu, I know" Junjie said petting his sons head, Wukong then did a scan around the house, noticing the empty cupboards and a single small loaf of bread "pardon me for asking this but, when was the last time you and your family eaten?" Wukong asked looking at the man "...four days ago, there was suppose to be a cart that was meant to deliver food and medicine for the village, but it never came, and everyone is starving" Junjie said looking down at Qi. Wukong thinks for a moment before a candle went off in his head (they didn't have light bulbs there) "why don't we get the carts" Wukong said, everyone looked at the copper simian "huh?" Junjie said confused
"Yeah, we can go look for your carts, find out what's the hold up and bring them back here" Wukong said with a smirk "You would really do that, but what if The Cursed Immortal wolves find spot you?" Jun asked concern "don't worry, I'll just bash their heads in before they could even blink" Wukong said smirking as he gently place Macaque down onto a chair "besides, I've been dying for some action" Wukong said summoning his staff "come on guys, let's get moving" Wukong said heading to the door with Ao Lie and Sha Wujing following behind the copper simian "yes, you three go on I'll stay here keeping an eye on master" Zhu Bajie said as he remained sitting "that means you too Piglet" Wukong said grabbing the pig demon by his ear and pulled him up to his feet dragging him out the door
"The carts come from the east part of our village where the mountains are" Junjie said pointing at the direction, Wukong nodded and the four went to that direction with Wukong still dragging Zhu Bajie. Soon they reached the mountains following the dirt road, then Wukong stops behind a the rock mountain wall his ears twitching, he motioned the others to be quite and he peaks over the rock wall, there he sees some demons in black armor laughing about something, and on the other side was the carts "okay there's the carts" Wukong whispered as Sha Wujing, Zhu Bajie, and Ao Lie peaked over as well, the copper simian looks back at the demons seeing only three of them "there's only three of them, we need to distract those demons to get the carts" Wukong said looking at the carts "so what are going to use to distract them?" Zhu Bajie whispered looking at the copper simian "live bait" Wukong said looking back at the Celestial swine with a smirk, Zhu Bajie gulps not liking the way Wukong was smirking at him before getting grabbed by his collar and shoved out into the open
The three demons looks to see the pig demon as Zhu Bajie quickly took his rake out pointing it at the three"you foolish demons! How dare you come to my mountain and not pay any respect to me! I will have your heads for such disrespect!" Zhu Bajie said glaring at the three demons a sweatdrop on his forehead, the three demons got out their weapons and charges at the pig demon, Zhu Bajie let out his own battle cry and began fighting the demons. Meanwhile, Wukong, Sha Wujing, and Ao Lie sneak around the fighting towards the carts, Wukong grabbed some rope from the carts and tied them together with the help from Ao Lie and Sha Wujing
Just then an unconscious demon flies at Wukong knocking him to the ground with the demon on top of the copper simian, Wukong let out a scream as he felt an agonizing burning pain on his back as he struggles to get the demon off him "brother!" Sha Wujing said quickly running over and pulling the demon off the copper simian wincing in pain, when the demon was pulled off he immediately drops him and looks at his hands, seeing the big burn marks on them "what?" The river spirit said confused before looking back at the unconscious demon noticing the armor "Their armor, it's made out of Dark Metal?!" Sha Wujing said in shock
Zhu Bajie, Ao Lie, and Wukong were shocked by this "But isn't the Dark Metal harmful to demons, how is it possible for them to wear it as armor without it harming them?" Ao Lie said looking at the armor, Wukong groaned and sat up "doesn't matter now, we got the carts so let's get back to the village" Wukong said grabbing one shaft while Sha Wujing grabs the other just as Zhu Bajie knocks out the last demon "never do something to me like that again!" Zhu Bajie said as the copper simian and river demon pulls the carts "yeah yeah whatever, now help push the cart" Wukong said pulling the cart, Zhu Bajie grumbles and helps push the cart along with Ao Lie, heading back to the village Ao Lie looks back at the unconscious demons and their armor wondering how they could wear it and not get hurt by its effects
After an hour they made it to the village "we're back and we got the carts!" Wukong called out, slowly the villagers stepped out and gathered to the carts along with Junjie and his family "thank you, thank you very much" Junjie said thankful "eh it's no problem, it was really easy if you ask me" Wukong said smiling with a shrug. Then he noticed Tripitaka there and Macaque awake and the copper simian immediately went to the tanned simian "Mihou, you're awake" Wukong said hugging the tanned simian who hugged back "how do you feel?" Wukong asked looking at Macaque "I feel fine, much better now, thoughyou did scare me when you weren't there when I woke up" Macaque said with a small smile "I'm sorry, I had to help this village with some demon trouble, but I'm okay" Wukong said smiling
"If anything Piglet did the fighting while me, Sha Wujing, and Ao Lie got the carts out" Wukong said with a shrug "I'm just glad that you weren't hurt" Macaque said smiling, Wukong blushes and chuckles
