NEXT DAY !
EVELYN SAT IN THE PASSANGER SEAT NEXT TO HER MIOTHER. "You nervous? Julie asked her sister who leg was bouncing up and down.
Evelyn nodded, "You'll do great, lynne. Don't worry."
"I'm not nervous about that- Well I am but, i'm nervous about meeting everyone. I haven't worked on a project with kids my age since I was 10."
"You'll do amazing, Evie." Julianna spoke up from the back seat. "I bet these kids are probably going through the same thing." Julie said, giving her sister a reassuring smile.
"Okay, I'll be back in a few hours, after I pick up your brother."
Evie nodded and got out of the car, Julie doing the same.
As the two were walking towards the building, Evelyn started fiddling with her rings. "You gonna be fine, lyn. They'll like you. Plus, today's an easy day, you're just going to wardrobe and some rehearsals."
Evelyn nodded. "Yup. Easy day."
After Evelyn and Julie entered the building, they were greeted by a blond woman who directed them to Evie's trailer.
About 10 minutes later, another woman arrived at Evelyn's trailer to take her to wardrobe.
When Evelyn stepped inside the trailer, she noticed a girl with curly hair who was engrossed in her phone. Evelyn recognized her as Dior.
Dior turned around, flashing a smile, "Oh hey! You must be Evelyn! I'm Dior." Evie instantly felt more relaxed with Dior's warm greeting.
"Hi! I like your hair." Evie said softly, sitting down in the chair next to her. Whenever Evelyn met someone new her first thought was always to compliment them.
Dior smiled at the girls compliment, "Thanks! Have you met any of the other cast members?"
Evelyn shook her head, "I just got here like ten minutes ago."
Dior nodded slowly, "Well, after where done here where all going to go get dinner after this, you should come! It be a great way for you meet the rest of the cast."
"Are you sure? I don't want to intrude."
"Don't be silly. You're in the cast, you're one of us now."
AFTER GETTING THERE MAKE UP AND HAIR DONE, Dior and Evelyn were told to head to studio A (a/n, idk how this works jst bear w/ me😭) To take some pictures of them in there outfits.
After that they were told to go to studio B where they'll see the type of training that they'll be doing for the next few weeks.
When they were there, Evelyn and Dior ran into Charlie who was going to be playing Luke.
As Evelyn's gaze remained fixated on the trainers' lightning-fast fight, her leg started bouncing nervously. A wave of apprehension washed over her, and she couldn't shake the feeling of being a bit scared. Doubts crept into her mind, worrying that she might not perform well when it was her turn.
"Okay," one of the trainers gasped, trying to catch their breath. Evie's attention drifted away from their conversation as her own inner thoughts grew louder.
The nagging doubts crept in, whispering, What if I don't do well? What if they all laugh at me because I can't get it right?
The weight of uncertainty settled on her shoulders, making her question if she was truly suited for this role.
Evie had always struggled with self-belief, a constant battle that took a toll on a girl's self-esteem, especially at the tender age of 13.
"Hey, are you good?" Charlie asked the younger girl. "Hmm? O-oh, Yes, yeah. I'm fine." Evelyn answered quickly.
"You sure? You look terrified."
"I'm just... i'm nervous I won't do well. I've never done anything like this."
"Don't worry. I'm sure you'll do great. None of have done anything like this."
That made Evie feel slightly better. "Thanks." Evelyn said smiling at the older boy.
